I don't know much about model railways or train sets etc. I was looking to purchase a Flying Scotsman Train Set, for my other half.
From my 1st contact with the store yesterday by phone, I found the staff to be friendly, helpful & knowledgeable.
Needless to say on collection of said
train set today I found the staff to be just as friendly, helpful and knowledgeable.
My other half was delighted as was I.
So thanks again & no doubt we shall see you again!

Jim was so welcoming, offered me a brew which took me back slightly, you simply don't get this customer service anywhere else.
Sadly they didn't have the loco I wanted in stock on this occasion but Jim had a good luck around the shop for me and gave me an alternative to look online and keep checking incase any pop up there. I really do wish this was my local model shop however with the beauty of the Internet I no doubt will look here first when buying in the future. Thank you Jim for an amazing 5 star service, all the best.

I bought a class 37 second hand train in excellent condition for a fantastic price as well as some rare intercity mail carriages . Shop staff were friendly, helpful and offered really exquisite advice. Highly recommend!!!

J. D.Called today with our 4 year old Grandson who we had just taken to the Bury transport museum. He had some money to buy a train but the shop at the station was closed. We live locally and I remembered the locoshed. Rang ahead to see if they were open and explained the situation. When we arrived with him the shop was busy with people who obviously knew what they were buying. They treated Ralphie so nicely, helping him find a steam train. They spent time talking to him and found him a little train set which was perfect. They made us feel really welcome and took such an interest. Would highly recommend this lovely shop whether a novice or an expert you are made to feel valued. Thank you so much

Q.Excellent place, full stock and very good treatment by its owner, Jim, offering a courtesy drink (tea or coffe in the morning, I supose in the after could be a beer or whisky-Coke… hehehe!) as a welcome. They had exactly what I was looking for, difficult models, and they also allow you to try them, look at the products in the store with complete confidence. Great audience, with great conversation to spend hours there. I will come back next year when I have holidays in England, from Spain.

C. H.Bought a rare Olivia Trains Heljan EM2 from Jim on Thursday. Unfortunately the bag of add on parts was missing, but Jim asked me to send me an email with my address, which I promptly did Thursday evening, Jim then contacted Olivias trains who sent out a new bag of add on parts on the Friday which arrived on Saturday. Brilliant service and looking forward to visiting the shop again soon, many thanks to Jim thoroughly recommended for a visit.
