J. L.Did the Polar Express with my son. Very well run but a tad expensive. Obviously he loved it but just felt a bit flat and overly commercialised
J. R.Had a 2hr plus trip on the steam train with a 3 course Sunday lunch which was cooked on board. The food was 1st class as was the service from the friendly staff. Very well organised. Can't wait to return in the summer for the evening curry train.
P. R.We had another great day out on the Churnet Valley Railway. Lots of excitement due to a large wedding group - lost earrings, missing passengers etc. We also experienced four seasons in one day inc sunshine, rain, hail and even snow ... all adding to the marvellous entertainment.

The food was superb. I couldn't finish mine, but that was only because of the quantity. There was no doubting the quality. Thank you.
F. H.As heritage railways go, this is an enjoyable experience and has a decent amount of track - great for a day out with the family. We visited at Christmas which kids will find exciting, what with a visit from Santa and his mates. The station has a cafe and a waiting room. Everything is in a good state and the steam engine looks fantastic, plus the staff are friendly.
