Nice location out of the way and by the river. Barges and all sorts of flotilla pass by while you gaze out and enjoy a lovely drink and lovely food. Plenty of space indoors and out. Toilets were clean and tidy with disable access. Lovely looking bar with lots of choice of beer, gin flavours and wine etc.

There is a pub there which has parking but I did not use it's car park, instead parking at roadside the other side of the canal. There is also a small area of private canal-side parking for which a key is required for a locked gate. The purpose of my visit was to enjoy the length of navigation there on foot; the pathway was of good quality and the scenery very much worth your appreciation.

Beautiful walk along both the canal and river with a pleasantly wide towpath to stroll along. The Anchor pub is there which is a good place to eat and drink.

An amazing place to come for a walk run or a cycle. Nice pub to stop and get refreshments and great food as well.

Great place to visit for a day out. Pub with large car park next to the lock unfortunately the pub was closed today, Monday.

I can only give it 4 stars because it was closed to business and was having a practise run( not the correct phrase) but they allowed me to use the toilets. They were excellent. Friendly staff and a great location with a carpark. We will be going back, then hopefully I will give it that extra star!!
