Olli @ BlueDotStudios is remarkable, talented, funny, honest, an unbelievable producer & engineer. I would NEVER go to anyone else other than him and in 15 years in the music industry, Olli is without doubt one of the most amazing people I’ve ever been fortunate enough to work with. Over the past few years, I have had the pleasure of recording a solo album and several EPs at Blue Dot Studios, and every session has been a wonderful experience. Olli not only brings a vast amount of expertise to work but also knows how to make a client feel comfortable and reassured in whatever journey their project is taking. Not only that, but I've been fortunate enough to work with Blue Dot on full band recordings too, which have been both great fun and resulting in a high quality final result. Blue Dot is a fantastic studio. Olli is a fantastic technician, bringing the best out of both artists and supporting musicians with his careful ear and calm approach. The kit is second-to-none, and the resulting sound is nothing short of phenomenal. I've been working with Olli now for over 3 years and it's always been 5 stars in all areas. Olli is am incredible musician and producer that can translate and elevate ideas into a "Radio ready" track. He's very efficient and works hard to give his best output. At times I've wanted to give up on my projects and Olli has helped me plan a way out of my head. He's a very understanding and caring person and that extra layer of support with the music has meant a lot to me. Ive acknowledged at times I'm messaging him in the way you might message a therapist, apologising for doing so, Olli has replied to day it's all part of what he does. You definitely don't get there everywhere! We've worked remotely, in studio, we've even recorded in a train station. I've never felt any push back on ideas he's willing to give anything a go and normally nails it. I could go on for ages, but for review sakes, I've worked with a number of producers and Olli is the best of all those I've met. I am so incredibly proud of the work we've created together and I may be bias but songs which are released have been critically recognised as having top quality production a number of times. Plus I think our unreleased work is even better! I will always seek Ollis services one way or another, there's a lot he has to offer! 1000% worth booking with Olli and Blue Dot, can't recommend enough.

Olli pays attention to what you need out of a mix but goes above and beyond to create a track that is texturally stunning and compelling. Its amazing what he can do from the tracks you send! I'd recommend this to anyone but particularly those who are not sure about going to a studio due to Covid - he offers remote mixes that are just as amazing.

I discovered Olli through his work, which says a lot. A couple of months ago my friend released a song onto soundcloud and I couldn't believe how good it sounded in terms of the production quality. I was genuinely blown away... I wasn't going to rest until he told me where/how he got it made. He directed me to the Blue Dot Studios website where I immediately started writing an email to book a session. It was my first time going to a studio ever but Olli made me feel incredibly welcome and chilled about the whole thing, he explained everything I wanted to know and talked me through everything I needed to know. The studio is straight up awesome... and with a wizard like Olli behind the desk you honestly can do no wrong! This guy really does know what he's talking about and it's evident within all the projects he's worked on. Olli was incredibly patient with me throughout the entire experience (I'm a bit of a perfectionist) and shared the same desire as me to get everything sounding right, going above and beyond to ensure it. The result of our session was 1,000,000x better than I could've hoped for and I genuinely couldn't have had a better experience with Blue Dot Studios and Olli himself. I will no doubt be visiting again in the near future!!!

I met Olli in 2010 when I was struggling to find somewhere to record my music. A friend recommended his studio and I booked a session after hearing her songs. Since then Olli has been the only producer I have worked with on my solo music. Olli knows how to turn your songs into something special. Through his extensive knowledge of studio recording and producer/engineer experience in the music industry; he can make you feel at ease in a relaxed and comfortable environment; giving way for the creative sparks to fly! I can recommend Blue Dot Studios to anyone who wants to make a demo, record a cover, create an EP for their band or have an entire album made from scratch.

Olli is a legend who knows his stuff and gets the job done, with incredible, professional results as well as being flexible and bringing new ideas to the table the band hadn't thought of. This was also, for all of us, our first time in the studio and Olli was super helpful in explaining what we were doing when we worked together while recording, mixing and mastering our tracks. Olli is a genius. Plain and simple. I’d been trying to self-produce my EP for a while, but I just couldn’t get that polished feel that I wanted so I looked for a producer. Blue Dot seemed like the best choice; the price was extremely competitive and the samples that I heard on the website sounded exactly how I wanted my music to sound. Olli makes you feel very welcome into his studio, and I found that not being in a ‘by-the-numbers’ place made it very easy to relax and enjoy what’s going on which really helps with the recording process. He was hugely encouraging; even if I thought a take wasn’t so good, he’d pick out the best parts of it and focus on those to keep spirits up. Everything was constructive-positivity. Watching Olli work is an absolute joy. He is someone who has music in his blood, and whatever the project his passion for what he does shines through. He hears things that I couldn’t even imagine, and that totally changed the perception of some of my songs. Once I’d released my EP, everyone commented on how professional it sounded. As an unknown artist I think people imagine your recordings will sounds half-baked and amateurish; that will never be the case with Olli. Every song is album/radio quality. All I can really say is; book Olli if you’re a musician looking to record. He is exceptionally talented, patient, encouraging and above all else a really, really nice guy. You’ll have a blast, and an amazing sounding record at the end of it all.

I first met Olli 3 years ago, just as I was exploring the possible directions for my music. Being only 16, I had never recorded in a professional studio before and was very nervous about it all, but from the moment I walked in the room Olli made me feel at ease. Olli has helped me grow as an artist these past 3 years. He has always been totally supportive of my musical choices and on the same wavelength as me when it comes to studio production. Together we recorded my debut EP in 2015 as well as a couple of singles since, and I can always rely on him to produce incredible results with my tracks. Out of all the producers I’ve ever worked with, Olli is by far my favourite. Not only is he amazing at what he does, he’s a great laugh too, and I look forward to our studio chit-chats about what we’ve both been up to since we last recorded together. Although I have to travel a 400 mile round trip for a session, It is definitely worth the journey and would highly recommend him to any musicians or bands looking to record at a really good price, with a really great guy!

I worked with Olli on my debut EP, titled 'What Would You Do?'. After a week spent recording, Olli was able to transform my acoustic songs into a creative and commercially successful album. I know that without Olli's brilliant creative influence on the project, the EP would not have performed so well in the charts as it did. In particular, his favourite track, Superman, was produced to an exceptional standard and as a result found itself in the iTunes top 100 singles chart. An innovative, bubbly and extremely talented producer, Olli is capable of turning simple songs into guaranteed toe tappers for all to enjoy!

I have been writing songs since I was a teenager and I have been to many different recording studios over the years, but I can honestly say that recording with Olli took my music to a whole new level. Initially I only went there to do a couple of tracks, but I ended up doing a 13 track album because I loved it so much! Olli is actually amazing and I had so much fun in all my sessions, leaving with a really professional sounding album. He understood exactly what I wanted and always came up with loads of great ideas to make it sound even better than I imagined. He is a brilliant musician and is proficient in all the programs and equipment. He put a lot of time and effort into this album and helped me from start to finish. He also put me in touch with an excellent rap artist to feature on one of my tracks which exceeded all my expectations. This album is what I've always wanted to achieve and I can't thank him enough. If you are thinking about recording a song then I highly recommend Olli. I will definitely be going back to record more! I just wish I had found him sooner.

The fact that Olli has managed to recreate the recording capabilities of a full studio within the comfort of a home setting makes the experience at Blue Dot Studios even more enjoyable. We’ve been working with Olli since the beginning and he fully understands how to capture our ideas on recording; he makes the process completely interactive so we remain fully in control at all times and he always manages to bring out the best in us, whether that’s by pushing us to work that little bit harder, or by making us laugh until the tears stream down our faces.
