After experiencing a strange and serious fault on an out of warranty Roland JD-XA synthesiser, I contacted Roland who said I needed to refer to an authorised repair agent, their website led me to Elextrofix!
After checking in the synth and paying a deposit, my expectations were managed about turnaround time due to workload, but I was happy to accept this in order to get my favourite synth working again.
Some weeks later Graham from the Cardiff branch called, told me how much it would be to fix. Whilst not an insignificant price, it was a fraction of the new cost and only about 25% of the resale value, so either way well worth doing.
It turned out that Graham had isolated the fault to component level, was told by Roland that they only supply the full circuit board, researched where to source the said individual DAC chip from independently, ordered and fitted. This literally saved hundreds of pounds. I know this as a US member of a Roland online forum I was exchanging communication with had paid $600 to get what seemed like the same fault fixed (via replacement board).
I'm very grateful to Graham for what he did. Obviously a highly knowledgeable, skilled and experienced individual. I just wish he could clone himself, so the repair timelines could be shorter :)...That said, I'm happy regardless.
I highly recommend Electrofix as a safe pair of hands for fixing your cherished band and studio gear!!

They fixed my 25 year old Roberts AM/FM/LM radio that Roberts said was too old for them to repair. The volume and tuning buttons were very very sensitive to being changed, and once you had a fix on a station, you daren't touch anything (even it it was too loud/quiet). It's now as good as new and I get all the FM stations I want, and whatever volume I like (including Radio 3 which is the hardest)

Fantastic knowledgeable repair shop. Repaired a family airloom Marantz amp which Richer Sounds had said was a right off, conveniently so that they could try and sell us a new one. Amp continues to work beautifully several years after Electrofix's expert repair. Very reasonably priced too. Recommend without hesitation.

Great service! Brought my NAD amplifier back to life and it's sounding wonderful. As others have mentioned, it did take a few weeks before they could look at it but was advised of this and it's only because they're so busy. Highly recommended.

Great to be able to get electronics fixed up from an independent place! They had a long waiting list so it took a while but my issue has been fixed and my record deck and speakers sound perfect again! Great place and friendly staff

Electro fix recently repaired a badly damaged Nord Stage keyboard for me. The results are excellent. The keyboard plays perfectly and looks better than it has done for ages.
Service was friendly and efficient and I was kept up to date throughout the repair process.
I would highly recommend Electrofix.

I received an excellent service from Eletrofix with regards to a Technics SL1200 MK2 that i received from ebay in a poor state. Matt is clearly very passionate and knowledgeable when it comes to Technics turntables. Very trustworthy and also very good value. Couldn't really ask for more than that. If they can help you with any equipment then I wouldn't hesitate to check them out!
Cheers
Nick

Had my broken 4 track repaired by these guys. Took it in at the end of last year, they informed me straight away that it may take a while because of the pandemic and christmas, which i was toatllly fine with, it was in quite a state so i wasnt expecting much to be honest. its been fully repaired and works like new. Very reasonaple price too. im over the moon! thanks electrofix! long may you continue!

Got my Technics 1210 Mk2 fixed here. Great service but as other reviews have highlighted not the speediest of turnarounds.
But that being said the quality of work is high and the pricing is reasonable. Would recommend to anyone.

No one else in the whole South West could fix my amp as it is really really old. Electrofix could. Need I say more.
Although I had to wait a while for them to do it, I was happy to, as specialist knowledge and craftsmanship is worth its weight in gold. Would highly recommend.

One of the few places left in Bristol where they fix music gear. But there's a big waiting list. If time is not of the essence ... Then they will get the job done.

Repaired my headphones amp which works well now, however wait time was fairly long to get repaired, but not something they could have done anything about.
