His teaching techniques are fun and easy to understand, but constantly pushing to achieve a high standard. His knowledge and ability on the bass, along with his friendly personality make him a great teacher and I would recommend him to anyone!

This brought back memories of my lessons and Tim's tutoring. Let me start by saying you will not find a more passionate and accomplished musician to teach you music theory and the joys of playing music. Tim is a superbly talented musician, with a crucial knowledge that underpins the foundations of music theory. Tim put me through my graded bass exam, which I passed.
Tim is friendly and humorous, and when I started as an absolute beginner, he was able to ease my nervousness and made it a pleasure to start my own musical journey. He is a patient tutor who wants his students to progress and succeed, and his commitment to this is palpable.
Tim was always able to adapt our lessons to my individual needs, and encouraged me to take the lead in song choice and style when not following graded exercise.
There is no doubt in my mind that Tim is one of the UK's finest bass guitar tutors, and if I still lived locally I would definitely be taking up lessons without any hesitation.
Despite Tim tutoring me a long time ago, the love of music that Tim helped me develop will make me forever grateful to him. Don't hesitate to get in contact with him and start your own journey😊
S. R.I am a 43 year old novice music enthusiast who approached Tim to ask if he will teach me bass. He asked me, why did I want to play the bass guitar? This made me think for the first time. I knew I wanted to play bass but was not sure why.
Fortunately he agreed to teach me and I started lessons 5months ago and I realised that this has been his teaching style. He asks a very crucial question which will let you solve the questions yourself rather than spoon feed or hold your hand. He drops you in the deep end but always there to throw a buoy if you are drowning.
He is very punctual, very professional yet friendly and approachable. I am yet to know him well but so far I feel this relationship will last even beyond the music lessons and hopefully beyond me passing grade 8 with distinction ;)).
I have no doubt that I am in good hands. I never felt that Tim lacked enthusiasm, passion and dedication to teach at any time. I usually leave the lesson with a grin on my face which lasts until I reach home and face the reality of hard life again. This is an honest opinion and not a recommendation. I am sure he will exceed your expectations.
