Great if you are shopping for Indie, good if you´re looking for Punk. Also has a good selection of books and comics. Definitely recommended. Glad to see it´s still around.

G. J.Such a random little shop, selling CDs, records and second hand books. I stumbled upon it a couple of weeks after acquiring a record player and was impressed at how friendly and approachable the owner was - offering to suggest things I might like, looking up on his database to see if he had a couple of my requests in store, and even offering me a cup of tea "because he was putting the kettle on".

C. S.For all the interesting second hand bookshops in Edinburgh, there aren't many that are also record shops!
The selection of books is eclectic although hardly extensive, but the collection of vinyl is quite heartwarming considering recent trends in listening. It's easy to get lost browsing either, finding unexpected gems or just cooing at something you loved many years ago and forgot that you still had somewhere.
The owner is a delight, always friendly and eager to help. He's also a pillar of the local arts and manages to cram gigs into the tiny space, so popular they're often spilling out into the street. If you can't get down to Leith Walk to experience the visceral pleasure of the place they have much of their stock - particularly the interesting and weird stuff - available online, so lack of parking is no excuse!
