Tom offers a unique service, he comes to you. No more traipsing into a city centre record store to sell albums only to find you return with over half of those you took and the price offered for the ones they would take seemed pitiful. I needed to downsize my collection by more than I would ever have been able to take into a store so Tom’s service was the best solution for me. Tom is a very knowledgeable buyer who knows his potential customer. Friendly and very approachable, his explanation of his buying methodology was crystal clear and his pricing totally transparent. In the end there were very few albums that he felt he couldn’t take which for me was a far better outcome than going to a city centre record store and having to bring them back. I also received what I thought was a very fair price compared to other buyers. In short I would have no hesitation in engaging Tom again should I need to again substantially downsize.

After years of living in the the loft, and with a heavy heart I decided to sell my vinyl record collection. I was convinced there where classics, but albeit in excellent condition my valuation was to high. Tom explained the reality of the vinyl world and made an acceptable valuation even though I still think they were all classics and desirable.

After much "soul searching" I finally decided to part with my vinyl collection (70/80's). I sent a detailed list to Tom Fisher and he came back, very quickly, with an offer. The offer showed the price per LP and those with no value. Tom's comments were realistic about the market. We agreed a time and Tom came by, checked a few at random for their condition. He found my description to be very accurate and the deal was done. I would happily recommend Tom. I'm sure (like me) you probably have a higher value in mind but we have to be realistic. My advice is describe your vinyl accurately and you'll have no problem!

Having cleaned out the loft during lockdown I had come across many albums, 12" and 7" records that my wife and I no longer felt we would play again, and that it would be good to let someone else have the opportunity to listen once more to Yes and ZZ Sputnik :) I found Tom via the internet, liked the detail on his website and called to arrange a meeting having sent him a list of each one which was in the boxes, including an estimate of their quality. He checked it through and gave what we felt was a fair price. Then the second Lockdown hit and we had to re-arrange. Just a couple of days ago Tom came down to Prestwick, on a mini-tour of the west, and we concluded the deal. Positive points- a fair assessment, with rational explanations by email, contact by email off the site was prompt and calls in advance to plan a mutually convenient time were far enough in advance to give flexibility. Tom arrived fully masked and gloved and was very positive and motivated for the re-opening, checking through the three boxes to ensure the descriptions were accurate. Any negatives? None. Good guy to do business with, and would happily recommend him.
