Great shop! V well stocked with a wide variety of genres, largely second hand but also gets new releases and v interesting reissues. There are two listening booths kept in good nick. The owner Owain is knowledgeable and friendly and can often point you in the right direction for records you might like based on what you've been browsing, and he always gives fair prices. Lots of bargains to be had! Also situated right next to a bar inside a beautiful park, and they usually have lovely tunes playing, easy to spend a while here...

Fantastic treasure trove of vinyl from the sixties onwards. Have bought a fair amount of soul/disco/boogie and 80s stuff there and have always been very happy with the range, pricing and service. Recommended!

Been to the shop a few times and always left with something special to add to my vinyl collection. Even during the lockdown, the owner has kept my collection going, even by picking out a selection and doing a great deal. Looking forward for lockdown to finish so I can pay the shop another visit. Nothing seems too much for the guy in there, always happy to help you find you a bargain. Wouldn't go anywhere else.

Cigarette records is an absolute gem. If you want rarities and obscurities, the type not commonly found in shops these days, this is a diggers heaven. Great selection of afro, reggae, soul - with plenty hard to find stuff - why? Because the owner works hard to find decent stock. I've found things in there I never thought I'd find in a record shop. It makes it a real treat heading in and has rekindled my love for digging in record shops. Prices are competitive and makes the experience far more rewarding than heading to discogs. Highly recommend it!

Diggers rejoice, there's a new place for vinyl treasure and it can be found in Beckenham Place Mansion. Long standing positive history with CR - the shop has an excellent buzz to it at the weekend with the full spectrum of genres, whether you reside in 70 bpm territory or 170 it is likely that you will find something you like. Its worth noting that if you cant find it yourself the staff are on hand to guide you towards something of your liking. More recently I have received excellent service digitally despite COVID complications and received my records with no issues. Looking forward to getting back in store!

I recently contacted Owain on my friends behalf as she had to clear out her late mother's property and had some vinyl from the 50's onwards. I had seen a Facebook post by Owain saying that he accepted all genres and was looking for more stock so the timing was good. From the 1st msg, Owain responded quickly and a home visit was arranged. He was friendly and knowledgeable. He made a good offer for the records he was interested in. Would recommend him and use his business again.

Five star record shop in great location in the middle of the park. The records are fairly priced in great condition. There is always a room for a fair price negotiation. Always good to pop by or check their page on discogs as they update it on regular basis.

Amazing little record shop, tucked away underneath Beckenham Place Park mansion. Have been a couple of times, and will definitely be going back for more. There are a LOT of records across all genres packed into this place - great for spending time digging through the crates. Staff always friendly and helpful, and really easy-going. Happy to negotiate on price and even cleans new purchases!

A selection of second-hand vinyl across the genre spectrum with sufficient variation and reasonable depth likely to appeal to both the seasoned crate-digger and the novice turn-table enthusiast. As expected here in Beckenham, find a credible Bowie selection including some genuine collectibles. Approachable, engaging and enthusiastic staff who are responsive to ‘negotiation’, where warranted. Worth seeking out and not to be stubbed.

Great experience will be back again :) Picked up some records I’d been after for a while and found some I’d forgotten about. Very helpful staff, I came in with a list from their discogs site. They found the records for me and did a good discount (more off than the 20% advertised because I took a few records).

Well stocked with an eclectic range of music. Reggae, oldschool RnB, golden area Hip Hop, classic Rock, electronic music. This isn't a Jack off all trades store though, think bluesy and funky.

I come across the 'Cigarette Records' shop purely by chance, when walking in the park and looking for a cup of Coffee in the Mansion building (record shop in the basement). but what a find. Some excellent records here to be had. Also selling on Discogs.

What a treasure trove this place is!! Come and dig. Do not plan anything else after except an empty bank account, a big smile on your face with your finds and a long hot soak in a bath after hours of standing and digging and listening!! This is a must go venue for all!
