A very good Uke shop! I visited on 1st July as I wanted to try a tenor due to finding my concert a little small. Paul was very helpful and picked out 4 to try based on my requirements. I never felt rushed and spent plenty of time trying them all with Paul explaining the features of them, info about the brands and even played a little demo of each of them for me. In the end I bought a lovely Snail S10T which i'm very happy with! Thanks again :-)

A magical place for Ukulele players or wannabe. The people inside are all ukulele players and will guide you expertly in your choice. You can try Ukulele for how long as you want before choosing the one for you.

Small shop with wall to wall Ukes on display, very helpful staff taught me a couple of notes and let me try some out. Got a uke that sounds and looks great. Much much better than buying from some big online box shifter. Very Highly Reconmended !!!

Ordered some ukulele strings from Duke of Uke, but when I checked the postage it had more than doubled. I left a message on their chat app asking why. No more than 15 minutes later, Paul from Duke of Uke, called me to explain that there was a fault on their website, which they were unaware of until I sent my message. This had now been rectified and that my postage had been refunded. That's what I call great customer service. Well done.

Very nice experience in the shop... It's a ukulele world there with great service provided by the owners. Have a nice walk-in if you fancy this instrument (or even if you don't) and you won't regret it!!!

Visited the store yesterday (07 March 2020) with my daughter to buy a new instrument for her birthday and was very impressed. Staff were knowledgeable and attentive and we were in the store for over an hour trying out various different ukuleles, comparing and contrasting. We eventually settled on a beautiful spruce topped Kala which my daughter is delighted with together with a good quality hard case and capo. If you are in the market for a new ukulele or want any related help or advice this place is really the only place to go! They also have a good website but, to my mind, nothing quite like visiting a store and being able to try before you buy.

I from the US and planned on visiting during my few hours in London. It was so worth it even though I arrived on a Friday just prior to close. The power was off due to a light installation, but plenty enough light to buy a uke (a Duke tenor) change the G string to low G, and buy a gig bag to get back to the States. Wanted a shirt but they were redesigning them. (Oh well) Brought back cards and have passed them out to my ukulele group. Can't wait to return again.

A great little shop with a huge range of beautiful instruments. The staff were exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable and patient. My daughter spent a whole hour trying out different instruments before making her selection. It was a welcoming, relaxing and pressure free visit, and we couldn't be happier.

Wonderful place! I went in as a complete beginner, and was patiently helped to choose the right ukulele for me. We went through a wide range of instruments, and he showed me some chords so that i could try it out, and also offered to play so i could listen to it properly. Patient, friendly, and happy to answer all of my questions, no matter how silly, we talked about construction, wood types, and the impact on sound. I came out knowing far more than I did when I arrived. Prices are very competitive. I am extremely happy, strumming away on my new little friend!

Really good range of ukuleles. They've got some reasonably priced 'entry level' type ukuleles right on through to the top end. I found the staff really helpful when choosing a new ukulele, they talked to me about what I was after then let me play a few of them to get a feel of them. If I were to buy another ukulele I'd definitely come back here to do it!

A delightful shop where the friendly owner was very helpful and gave honest advice about what to buy. As a beginner I felt self conscious and sensing that, he played on the ukelele so I could appreciate the different sounds. Amazing customer service, good range of both cheap and spendy instruments and (my favourite), they host live gigs in the shop itself. Brilliant little shop run by passionate and knowledgeable people. Have been through the whole life-cycle of the ukulele with them now, from purchasing my very first instrument, attending group lessons in the shop and having the talented Matthew (shop owner) expertly install a pickup in my uke at short notice so I can go electric at gigs! What I love about the shop is that they are not snobs (like in so many small music retailers) but don't mind if you're just starting out or have silly questions. Highly recommended!

Hand-on-heart the best service I have ever received from a music shop. The customer before me just starting out and myself an actor-musician (just back from tour so I've shopped around) both received high quality, friendly, personal service. Matthew and I tried different types of ukulele, wood-type, sound type and he helped me buy the ukulele that was right for me (like Ollivander in Harry Potter) instead of trying to hard-sell the most expensive uke (and even then that wasn't as high as it could have been). They even gave me a better deal than I was after (and I didn't have a budget) and after being recommended here a year ago from another performer, I too am here to spread the good news!

Fantastic little place for ukeleles, banjos, and even some guitars. Great for accessories as well, with selections of picks, capos and straps. The staff are well informed and helpful, not to mention their friendliness. Would give it 6 stars if I could. Went there yesterday to upgrade from my Lanikai Tenor and get a solid wood Concert. Only been playing since Christmas and no prior musical experience so had a ton of questions. However, TSL has found the only music store in London to specialise in the ukulele, a straightforward yet often underestimated instrument that inspired Matthew, the Duke of Uke owner, to set up shop eight years ago...
