By far the best guitar tech in London. Sam has maintained and repaired all my basses for over 10 years. He also helped me with two bass builds, and his expertise really added quality to the finished instruments. I trust him with all my most treasured guitars.

Sam from East London Guitar Repair is an astounding Guitar Repair Man, fantastic chap, could've ripped me off as I had quotes from other guitar repair sites that were a lot more and they were not willing to do certain customisations / modificaions. Sam did everything askes and he also steered me away from stuff that he actually could've charged me more for AND he did a fantastic job! The Guitar Plays like an Absolute Dream and sounds Amazing. Top Chap, I'd highly reccomend him. I have a beautiful Brent McElroy guitar from north America that needed a service and bit of TLC due to a buzz that had developed on drop tunings. It's not practical to send it all the way back to the USA for a simple service, so I go to London to the best in the UK. Sam fixed the buzz by making some adjustments to the fretboard and polished it so it looks as good as new. If you love your instrument and it needs some work on it, don't settle for second best - use East London Guitar Repair. Reasonably priced too! You will not find better in the UK.

I've been going to Sam for all of my setups, repairs and mods for five years now. I really feel like he goes that extra mile with his work, always adamant that the customer play and approve the job upon collection when most tech's will just want it out the door! Sam is by far the best guitar tech in the country in my opinion. I've used a fair few over the years but Sam tops them all. He's done fantastic work on my Martin Acoustics, Taylor Acoustics, Fender Telcaster, Fender Stratocaster amongst others that I've brought in for him. He's always done a sterling job, that's why I keep returning. A few of my friends have also used him upon my recommendation and were amazing by the results. Most recently, he renovated a Epiphone Riviera I had. The guitar was almost unusable. Sam rewired the pick ups, set it up, give it a good clean and now it's a guitar I can't imagine being without. Highly recommended!

Best guitar tech in London. I’ve travelled many miles with many different guitars to ensure they are set up, repaired, re-fretted and fettled by Sam. Highly personal service and still haven’t found a job too daunting for him yet. Top recommendation.

Sam is a great tech. He's reliable and knows what he is doing. He can also normally turn instruments around quickly for you if you need him to. Obviously there's a load of choice in London - I've been here for around a decade but still always bring my axes to Sam. Some of the stuff I ask him to do to the guitars is quite weird/unorthodox but he always nails it. I use an alternate tuning, and used to get guitars back from guitar techs all set up in the wrong tuning! Sam however is yet to make this error! (I will report back if he does...)

Sam is a true craftsman. All the guitars he's worked on for us have been flawlessly consistent and the neck breaks I've seen him repair have been almost like witchcraft. If you need someone with a wealth of experience and who's worked with some of the greats, he's your guy.
