Ceylan is a wonderful teacher. I am lucky to have studied the flute with her these last five years. Ceylan is encouraging and attentive. She is full of energy and fun! I always enjoy my lessons with her.

My 11 year old son has been having clarinet lessons with Ceylan since he was 6. Ceylan is trustworthy, kind and very knowledgeable. She is patient and understands how children learn. We are glad to have found her as a music teacher for my son and highly recommend.

Ceylan has been tutoring our son for the past five years, initially on the Descant Recorder and more recently the Clarinet. He completed the highest grading on the recorder and is currently working toward grade 7 on the clarinet. Ceylan is extremely friendly and patient, and our son finds the sessions enjoyable. She helped him to succeed (usually with a distinction) in every ABRSM exam he has taken. She also has prepared him for school competitions, where he has achieved a number of successes including winning his instrument category and coming in runner up overall in young musician of the year competitions at his junior school. During lockdown Ceylan continued the tutoring via Zoom videoconference. This proved to be as valuable as face to face tutoring at a particularly stressful time. Hopefully lockdowns are a thing of the past but it is comforting to know the sessions can continue uninterrupted should the need arise again in the future. We can’t praise Ceylan sufficiently in a brief review. She is approachable, friendly and always well prepared, as well as being an accomplished musician herself. Our son has looked forward to his sessions with her. That is itself the highest praise. We recommend Ceylan without reservation or hesitation.

Ceylan taught flute to my daughter sometime ago. She was a lovely teacher. She made it easy for her to learn flute. She was patient and personalised the learning for her so that she learnt at her own pace. She helped with the exams with additional sessions to make sure my daughter was well prepared for her exams. I had flute lessons from her for about 2 years until I moved out from the UK. Her lessons are full of energy and excitement. She approaches you very kind, friendly and understanding - she has all the answers for your needs and goals. I got to know her thanks to a friend of mine who had flute lessons from her for her ABRSM exams and the results were amazing. I never tried having an exam as I just wanted to have fun with music but whoever prepares for the music exams, well; you have to study with her - her referances are quite amazing. I highly recommend you to meet her!

Late in my sixth decade with no experience of any musical instruments I decided to take up flute lessons. I was fortunate to find Ceylan, a wonderful flautist. Ceylan was patient, encouraging and very conscientious. Ceylan would seek out musical pieces I liked to learn and play. Lessons were always enjoyable. I had weekly lessons for several years ( only stopped for health reasons). I am still in contact with Ceylan and follow her accomplishments with pleasure. Ceylan is a lovely person to have in one’s life. I am more than happy to recommend Ceylan to any prospective pupil.

Ceylan is a kind and patient teacher who is genuinely focused understanding her students needs and not just churning through exams but consistently improving technical skills and quality of tone whilst keeping lessons engaging and fun. She has really challenged our son to move out of his comfort zone (fast, energetic pieces) to work on slower, expressive pieces and really create a beautiful tone when he is playing. We are so thrilled with how much he has improved over the past year and our son honestly enjoys and looks forward to his lessons each week with Ceylan.
