James is a fantastic guitar teacher here in London. His friendly guitar lessons helped me to learn guitar with speed and confidence through the songs that I love. I have been a student at the London Guitar Academy for two years now, and right from the start I was astonished by how effective the teaching is and how super friendly the staff are there. Everyone who works there are great people, and they have all been a great influence on me over the years. My experience there has been outstanding, and I would absolutely recommend it to a guitarist of any ability. The concerts that the London Guitar Academy puts on at the end of each year can not be beaten, with the huge amount of effort that the teachers put in to make it a great experience for everyone. It is always great to have the freedom of choosing what you want to learn, and the having the flexibility of lesson times that allows you to reschedule at any time. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I've been taking weekly lessons with James for nearly three years now. When I started with him, I had love for music but no ability to play an instrument. With James's help I can now play guitar confidently; even to the point where I will jump in and play with more experienced friends. James's main strength I think is patience. He is great at showing me how to do things in different ways, until I get them. The fact that James created a space where I feel comfortable playing says a lot about him! I like LGA's teaching style a lot- I feel like I have a solid foundation in note reading and understanding the theory as well... but all the tutors also encourage you to developing your own voice and style as a musician. LGA are amazing guitar tutors. I've learned loads already. My teacher James is not only very patient, flexible and friendly, but is a great motivator and makes the class enjoyable. Super guitar teacher. I've been playing guitar for a little over a year. When I first started, I took a few lessons with James but had to stop because of my work schedule. I've tried a couple of other instructors closer to my home, but ended up going back to James because he was the best by far. It's been ~1 year that I've taken lessons with him and I have to highlight a few things: -He has demonstrated deep knowledge of music including ( theory, technique, song writing, msuic production) His lessons are based on the student's goals. Since day 1 he asks you what do you want to get from the lessons so he can guide you and set clear objectives that will target those goals . He is extremely patient.
