Darryl is a great teacher and with his great lesson programs you can learn to shave years off your guitar playing. Darryl takes the time to get to know you and understand exactly what it is you want to achieve on guitar and he sets up a lesson plan tailored to you and what you need to do first, second, third etc... in order to help you achieve big results in a short period of time. If you're a parent who's looking to get your child high quality guitar lessons, if you've never touched the guitar, or if you've already been playing for a few years, Darryl will help you become the best guitar player you possibly can.

Darryl is a brilliant guitarist and teacher, the number one problem I found with guitar tutors is that they are amazing guitarist but don't have the slightest idea of how to teach. After wanting to learn the guitar for a number of years, I finally made the commitment 18 months ago when I found Guitar Tuition East London, and haven't looked back. From playing songs you love to mastering the chords, it's all covered in a structured but fun way. Darryl makes the process of learning guitar fun while also focussed on delivering what you want to achieve out of playing the guitar. I particularly like the group lessons and occasional song-jams where you get to play with different people of varying levels of experience and ability. The facilities and friendly environment in East Village are also great!

I absolutely loved my lessons! Darryl is so patient and organised, he will always have the lessons planned and you will never have nothing to do. I always felt motivated to get better especially when I was asked what my goals were; this pushed me to be the best that I can. I rapidly began to see improvement in my guitar playing and soon I began to play more complex pieces. You always feel proud about what you have achieved after every lesson and Darryl always lets you know how you can improve even more. He is also very thorough so he will focus on what you are struggling with the most and before you know it, you have achieved it! One of the best decisions was to enrol my daughter @ guitar tuition east London The team is excellent, my daughter improvement is massive in all aspects: performing, confidence, coordination. Darryl, Jennifer, and the rest of the team put you at easy, always ready to accommodate your needs and your schedule. there are lessons to suit everyone, and is getting even better, as now they have Sunday's lessons as well. Also my daughter has been given amazing opportunities to expand her learning and development. I only wish i could have take that decision long time ago, as I honestly believe there's no better place at East London to learn and at same time enjoy playing guitar as a pro.

I can only recommend this guitar school! I have been a member for nearly a year and was immediately impressed with the level of dedication of the whole team there. The teaching method is innovative and allows student to study a whole range of concepts to actually understand their instrument and the music instead of just struggling through youtube videos at home! Lessons happen in small groups. Great fun and relaxed atmosphere, opportunities to play with others and progress fast. The teachers there are brilliant musicians too and always tailor their teaching to individual goals for each student. Top job!

I've been coming to the Monday night group guitar tuition with Darryl now for 3 months. My guitar playing has improved immensely. I've gone from being stuck playing the few songs I knew for the past 10 years and failing to learn anything new, to now feeling like I could happily learn to play anything with the solid foundation of skills being laid down in my weekly lessons. The lessons are varied and dynamic, often with everyone learning different things at the same time and at different stages but then moments come together where we've all learned different parts to the same song and we all get to play together. That's really fun. I thoroughly enjoy the lessons and have found a new enthusiasm for practicing. I am setting goals that I can see I will accomplish and I can't wait to get on this months workshop where we'll be learning from, and then playing with a band. I would recommend Guitar Tuition East London for any level of abilities. Darryl's teaching style, knowledge and enthusiasm are second to none.
