Reviews of John Henry's
Amazing staff, friendly and helpful. Any tour I'm on that we use them they never let us down. Great people, great maintenance on gear and great amtosphere. Thank you for everything. Plus a well stocked tech shop upstairs!
Super helpful and professional. Pepin and his team have always been able to help with all our sound rental needs and nothing is too much trouble.
Gerry is one of those rare people that is nothing but helpful, kind, knowledgeable and he looks after you as a customer. I have bought ACS ear plugs and monitors, he's helped me with getting the fitting right and also with repairs, always looking to help me out and make sure I'm satisfied. I don't really leave reviews but Gerry is a top man.
Thanks for everything.

A fantastic option for a band visiting the UK from fly away countries. Huge stock of drum equipment and amps means less to pay for air freight. Combine their musical hire service with a UK based tour bus company and you have all of Europe covered.
Always the same, John Henry's is John Henry's. Good facilities helpful crew.
You may be tempted to use the pro shop to buy some strings but stay away normies. Pros only or at least people like me convincingly pretending to be a touring musician. very chill music shop experience. Let's keep it that way.
The end of Indiana Jones in the giant warehouse....the JH warehouse is the same but for backline with 10s of thousands of pieces, all played by every great who ever existed. Family run British success story and major key to the music industry.
it was Christmas....oh! probably 1990, and I was the Studio Booker/Typist/Receptionist at JHE and we had the best Christmas Party anyone could ever experience!!....some of the staff organized a band to play at the Party and I was the singer....there was Denny Ball on Bass Guitar, Cozy Powell's drum roadie on drums, Robbie from the Flight case dept on Guitar, blimey the keyboardist from Cathedral was on keyboards!....and what was the name of one of the drivers on lead guitar??? he looked just like Keith Richards!!!.....we played the Rolling Stones song 'Beast of Burden' and a few others....and I had the bestest time ever.....I am really smiling so much just thinking about it now!!!!......THANK YOU JOHN HENRY, PEPIN CLOUT, ROBERT HARDING, BAZZ 1 & 2, all the drivers, all the staff....Liz in the Cafe for the fantastic food...................LIFE IS FANTASTIC......and always will be....God bless you all with Peace and Happiness
