My hubby and I came here to get a start saxophone for me. We were fortunate to come across Nathan, who was both super knowledgeable and friendly. I had lots of newbie questions for him, such as maintenance or even how to play a first note, and he was very open about answering them and letting me try the sax to make sure I was 100% happy with it. I've wanted to learn the sax or clarinet since I was young. I'm so glad that Nathan was able to assist as I now have the confidence to start learning after so many years. Thanks so much again for your help and will definitely be recommending both the shop and your service to others!

One more time, super pro and honest. My Sakkuzu saxophone needed to be fixed, nothing to bad. The engineer took a quick look, said that a easy fix and just putted the keys who were loose on place (after +2tears)... He didn't charge anything...I was thinking that I did something bad to my saxophone, but not at all. He could tell me that I had to leave my saxophone for a few days and charge me ££ for his work, but he didn't. That was very honest. So go for it, if you have any questions about saxophone, just visit the store and speak with the friendly staff. Happy saxy day!

Lewis managed to breathe life back into an old girl (Vintage Tenor Sax). Thank you so much, your workmanship is amazing! The staff here can't do enough for you, helpful, knowledgeable and more importantly extremely capable. The store is very near to Warren Street tube station, it has many instruments on display and a workshop downstairs. Fantastic service. We bought 3 saxophones (and reeds and mouthpieces etc) over the years for our son from renting a beginner student saxophone to buying a pro Selner as he is going to the Conservatoire next year. Amazing shop and staff. Very friendly and helpful and letting you try instruments with no pressure. The workshop staff are equally friendly, helpful and ready to help. Try the online shop as well with very swift deliveries (very useful when your son realises the day before a concert he is short of reeds...). Go to this shop you won't be disappointed.

Sax Heaven! Such an incredible variety of saxophones, it's worth a visit just to marvel at them all. They also stock plenty of mouthpieces, instrument accessories and books. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff, most of them amazing musicians. There are multiple studio spaces at the back to try out your instrument or mouthpiece, and a repair hub for any fixes or checks to your instrument. This is a great place to go whether you're a seasoned professional or a beginner. I can't praise this place highly enough and I can't stay away!

Went to Sax to get my old saxophone serviced, and was given a very honest impression by those at the workshop, no BS or anything. Just told me that because of its state, it would probably cost £600 to have it fully serviced, and it would be more cost-effective to just buy a new one. When I asked to look at some clarinets, very helpful guy provided me with a room, reed, mouthpiece and a selection of clarinets and just allowed me to try them out. Informed me about their very interesting hire scheme, instead of paying the whole balance and committing at once. Top customer service. Top place.

The staff are really helpful. I went to buy a new mouthpiece for my alto. After telling the member of staff kind of what I wanted and how much I had to spend. He gave me 5 to try and saxophone off the shelf which is the same as my own at home. They have a load of practice rooms where I gave them all a go. The mouthpiece I bought is brilliant and makes my saxophone as a whole play a lot better. I will defiantly be coming back if I need to buy anymore saxophone related items.

The most helpful staff, the widest stock and reasonable prices - the best saxophone store. If you are looking for a specific item, do inquire whether it is in stock, but if it is not, they can contact you when it becomes available. After being reunited with my saxophone following a long hiatus, I found myself unable to practice without disturbing my neighbours and needed a convenient solution to mute the horn. Having researched my options, I found that Sax.co.uk store had a full range of mutes available. The staff guided me through the setup and use of the devices and gave me plenty of time to try them out in one of the rooms. If I ever need another horn, or help getting the most out of my current instrument, I know where to look!

Within seconds of walking through the door, I was approached by Michael who immediately put me at ease as I asked for help in shopping for a new soprano. Friendly staff members, perfect for people who love everything saxophone as everything is in one compact space. I preferred the old building near Euston but the new location is still central ! Always feel a bit awkward in the shop as there are not many places to sit and it can take quite a while to have a good look at everything to decide what is right for you.

Unsurpassed range of saxophones and accessories. Staff are all practicing saxophonist so can give you advice from first hand experience. I had a problem with a saxophone stand that I had changed my mind about and it was exchanged for a different model without a problem. They also have an excellent website.

A professional team of players that are quick to share advice and experiences along with a warm welcome. A whole range of saxophones from beginners to professional that can be played for comparison in a relaxed atmosphere. Similar with mouthpieces, an excellent place to test before purchase. I love the selection of instruments and mouthpieces here. The testing rooms really are fairly unique and provide an opportunity to try before buying. The store was a little light on staff when I viaited, resulting in quite a wait, but when I was served the staff demonstrated fantastic professional expertise and really know their stuff. Wow! If you can blow into it, you can buy it here. They have an extraordinary selection of wind instruments. If you can name a horn, they have it. It was a pleasure just to walk around and see all of the different takes on instruments most of the consider standard (bass clarinet anyone?) or the wide range of wooden flutes (not to be confused with a recorder). Thankfully the tremendous selection was matched by a friendly, knowledgeable and patient staff. Don't forget to go downstairs to see the Tuba collection. If I could find the string equivalent of this store I would be thrilled.

A fantastic shop if Saxophone is your thing. Massive range of horns, all of which your more than welcome to try. I was particularly interested in trying the Sakussa Baritone. Nothing was too much trouble to make this happen. Staff are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable on their subject. It’s probably as well that it’s so far from home. I ended buying the Bari, might end up being my go to horn 🎷🎷🎷🎷

Amazing place. Went in with my friend from Tokyo who was buying a soprano sax. I know nothing about the sax, but Michael was so knowledgeable and enthusiastic that I came out knowing quite a bit! Really interesting experience with great service!

The place is great and the whole team is amazing. There is a big selection of horns and accessories to choose from. Now there is a bigger selection of other wind instruments, so doublers don't have to go anywhere else. What I like the most about the team is the fact that although they all play great, they have different takes on sound concepts, so no matter how picky you are there is always someone to talk to and get an advice from. I have bought a few horns there and several accessories and well yes you have to try before buying but that's logical since instruments are like clothes, one single design doesn't suit everyone. They sell instruments, they don't make them, so if selmer is inconsistent that's not their fault. They set them up but they can't do magic. Anyway, I bought myself an excellent Ref 36 there, but I tried A LOT of horns and that was no issue with them at all. I strongly recommend this place to everyone from absolute beginner to pro. Just don't be shy to ask if you are a beginner or if you are on a low budget. This team is very knowledgeable and professional.

I really do like this shop - so much so that I have bought, to date, four saxophones there. The staff are extremely helpful, yet they will also leave you alone with an instrument so that you may try it out in privacy. When I bought my baritone, a Yanagasawa B922 (probably the best baritone on the market, I might add!) I bought my family along, and they too were made most welcome - with free hot chocolate! Every visit is a great experience - even if you just need some advice. I cannot recommend Sax. Co. Uk enough. Thank you Adrian Woods and all the team.

We had a wonderful experience upgrading our daughter's saxophone recently (August '15). I had rung and spoken to Wendy a few days before our trip to London and she couldn't have done more to help us or been more pleasant. We spent many hours in the store, with our daughter choosing 'the perfect sax'. We had no idea what we would end up buying - and although it took a long, long time for our daughter to find the right one, Wendy couldn't have been more patient and helpful. She even played some of the saxes herself so that our daughter could hear them from a different perspective. Looking to upgrade to an intermediate alto - but being what I would optimistically call an improving beginner I was slightly daunted about both the range of choice and test playing among some clearly accomplished musicians. I should not have worried. The staff, especially Paul, could not have been more helpful. I was talked through the merits of various models and left alone with a selection to try for as long as I wished. While I could hear some lovely sounds being made elsewhere in the shop, I felt relaxed and encouraged to enjoy myself regardless of my relatively low standard. Add to this an extremely good deal on a beautiful Conn-Selmer with a Rousseau mouthpiece included, I left a very happy man. I cannot recommend the place highly enough.
