I really enjoyed my lesson with Tanya. She was both really encouraging and really professional. I loved the way that she delved into the science behind singing which helped me feel that it was possible to improve. I could actually hear a massive improvement in my voice after only one lesson. If you are looking to ‘find your voice’ I would strongly recommend Tanya as a teacher.

Tanya is quite possibly the best singing teacher ever! My daughter has been having lessons with Tanya for over 2 years and the confidence, technique and breadth of style she has gained is mind-blowing in a 12 year old. Tanya is a really engaging teacher who knows how to help you get the best out of your voice (even if you think you’re a rubbish singer, as I did when I first tried a lesson) and to find creative ways to make songs come alive. Lessons are always well paced and productive (even over Zoom during the pandemic), and never thought I’d enjoy singing so much or have the confidence to experiment as I do now. Highly recommend :-)

I have found my singing lessons with Tanya enjoyable , productive confidence boosting and fun. Tanya creates a relaxed atmosphere dissipating any nervous feelings I have felt very self conscious about singing due to what I thought was a voice that couldn't make a musical sound, but Tanya has helped me overcome these barriers. I can honestly say that I go around the house singing at the top of my voice not caring about who is listening. It is amazing to hear the sounds coming from one's voice. As a professional cabaret singer lockdown meant that I had stopped singing for almost a year, losing both my muscular control and confidence. Despite the limitations of Zoom, Tanya was able to coax my voice back into shape, and indeed improve it in a variety of ways. Her coaching is highly accessible, stimulating and astute. I am back to performing again and instinctively able to adopt mechanisms she has encouraged and feel that my voice has improved as a consequence.

I wanted to learn to sing for years, but was terrified of letting anyone hear my voice. Tanya explains technique using imagery that makes sense to me as a physical performer. Her teaching feels much less daunting than previous times I've attempted to learn, and she has so many tools to help with every progression. During lockdowns her Zoom lessons kept me positive and I made huge progress from my bedroom. Now I have classes in person it's even better, but it's always good to know that if I can't make it, we can switch back to online learning. Tanya is extremely encouraging and really cares about your progress. I absolutely love our classes!
