I have now done about 3-4 classes with Qing and I am really enjoying the lessons. She is very friendly and easygoing. She teaches me something new every lesson and gives me things to practice in readiness for the next session which I really enjoy. I always look forward to my lessons and would definitely recommend her to anyone that is learning/wants to learn guzheng!

Had my first guzheng lesson with Qing on 3/9/21. Qing is very professional, down-to-earth, well-spoken, classy and approachable. Nice to know she embraces the good hardcore part of Chinese and Sinitic cultures. Her teaching is easy to understand for beginners as well. Would defo recommend Qing's lessons to anyone who is interested in classical Chinese music.

I just started taking virtual lessons with Qing and signed up for an initial trial lesson (I am located in the United States). I was really impressed with her online experience and am excited to get on a regular schedule. Qing is both professional and personable in her teaching; it’s apparent from her lesson structure that she is thoughtful in how she plans and teaches. She took the time to ask what my goals were so she could tailor my experience, which I really appreciated. The virtual setting worked out great and she provided necessary materials beforehand. She is patient, accommodating, and encouraging, which is important for any kind of learning, but I find to be especially true for virtual Guzheng learning. I have anxiety and am not the best at meeting new people, so her pleasant and welcoming disposition made me comfortable - another testament to her thoughtful teaching style. If you don’t have the pleasure to learn in-person in London, I highly recommend virtual learning with Qing!

I've been learning from Qing at the Guzheng Studio for almost ten years. The lessons are fun and perfectly tailored to me. It's easy to see Qing's passion for Guzheng during the lessons. Not only is she a great performer, she is a fantastic teacher with vast knowledge of the instrument, songs and the history behind it. I would recommend the lessons to everyone regardless of their skills in music.

Recommended!!! I started learning Guzheng with Qing since I moved to the UK in 2018 from the US. I was so happy that I could find Qing here to teach me how to play this instrument. Qing is absolutely a professional player, she has passions on Guzheng. She has adequate teaching experience, also is very patient. She teaches me from the very beginning till now, and it is still going on. I love to meet her either in the zoom or in-person. Anyone interested should give it a shot. Highly recommended!

I took the 1h30 trial lesson and it was great. Qing was really professional and answered all my questions patiently. I got to learn basic theories and tried playing a few simple songs. I also loved how transparent she was about the time and effort needed to learn Guzheng. Really great experience overall. Highly recommend for those who are interested!

I highly recommend learning the Guzheng from Qing! She is a lovely and professional instructor who is thorough and explains things in a very comprehensive manner making learning new techniques and songs effortless. She teaches lessons at a good pace and provides exercises and tips to help improve my skills. While living in the United Kingdom, I was taking both in-person and Zoom lessons which I enjoyed immensely. Having moved back to the United States, I will certainly miss the in-person instruction; however, having taken both in-person and Zoom lessons, both are excellent, and I learned a lot from her since I started back in October 2020. I always look forward to my weekly lessons.

I love zheng and i was so lucky to have found Qing and her studio! Qing is a very professional and patient teacher. She not only teaches performing techniques but also focus on how to communicate with the audiences through music. She sees music as a way to express emotions and to show a story or a scenery to audiences. Zheng is a lovely musical instruments with so many possible permanence styles and Qing herself definitely made this instrument even more attractive. Definitely recommend!

I learned an awful lot from Qing in the few lessons I had. She is great fun as well as extremely talented. I only stopped the lessons due to my personal circumstances. I highly recommend Qing as a teacher. She found music suited to my taste and ability, and she also explained the stories and legends behind the music. I didn't learn piano seriously because of my own reasons before, but after lockdown this year, I was able to calm down and keep learning. With the encouragement of the teacher, I also learned a few songs I like intermittently. Teacher Qing is very professional and patient. He can adjust the teaching plan according to my situation and give me a lot of encouragement and confidence. Every time I record a short video and send it to me, so that I can practice.
