Excellent studio. Great sound. This is a truly professional venue. The staff is proud to work there. They go the extra mile to make you happy. We had 4×10hrs/day recording sessions in Studio A. We recorded with very unusual material and had one day mixing - another one due next week due to the amount of material to go through. Neal the engineer is extremely competent et fast. Evie his assistant is charming and efficient. A very good experience in a spacious studio where you have loads of natural light and a good restaurant as part of the complex. Brilliant!

We arrived with two prams without a reservation and the team moved mountains (and tables) to accommodate us including agreeing to do a kid-sized portion of bolonaise for the toddler and opening up a side door through the studios with ramp access. We were really made to feel welcome despite a boisterous toddler and a cranky pre nap 8 month old. From the outside I'd always thought the place looked a bit dark - it's teaches me not to judge a book by it's cover - as inside it was friendly and cozy. And their Vegetarian breakfast was delicious AND unusually there were TWO Vegetarian breakfast options! I'll certainly return!

Great English Breakfast place. I've been coming here for years and they have consistently stayed high in terms of ingredients used and how they cook them. I would have given it 5 stars if it was not for the service. The staff are very friendly and nice. The only improvement is for them to be more organised. I've never had any reason for their other foods and so cannot comment.

Neil in Studio A was an absolute hero in our four day session this week. He dealt with a very varied week of musicians, a tight deadline and a mad producer (myself). Cannot reccomend him, Premises and the Cafe enough.

Really great solo-piano recording session. As a newbie to recording The inhouse engineers Neil and Angelique made me feel welcome and put me at my ease so I was able to play well. Great sound quality and 4 short tracks all mixed and mastered within the session. All overseen by Doris the studio cat providing purrs and morall support.

Used the Premises while doing some production rehearsals and had great service during that time, any issues I came across were sorted swiftly and professionally. Can’t not mention the cafe with one of the best halloumi wraps!

I wish there were more places like this along the everyday trendier Hackney Road- local and somehow "historic", not just riding on the new cool wave, but also open and friendly to newcomers. The Premises menu will not win awards for originality, nor its cocktails for finesse, but they always deliver - fresh cooking and loads of atmosphere inside (the adjacent recording studio memorabilia hang from every wall) for takeaway prices. The grilled meats (lamb is my favourite) and breakfasts are great value, music is always good and the owner and staff cheerful. Simple, unpretentious and good.

this was one of the standout lunches of my london stint - a definite institution in the venue priorities!! a small, albeit cosy venue, with rock memorabilia adorning the wall like a walk of fame, and recording artists working on their craft out back, one does not expect it to be a foodie find as well! the lunch i devoured there was one of the best ever in london; - and value supreme. the staff were fantastic (and drop-dead gorgeous to boot!) - the owner Ali is a star, and the food is home-cooked on site, and scrumptuous. i opted for the lamb shank with rice and salad and it was a delight; generous portion and cooked to perfection - plus delivered with a smile. the wine was also bliss. i will DEFINITELY return!! (their breakfasts are supposed to be a highlight, but I'm a lunch girl myself)..... love to all the 'family' at this splendidly run institution. xoxoxoxoxoxoxo
