Reviews of Tome Records

A small shop touching base with most genres with both second hand and a smattering of new vinyl.
Though the stock holding be rather lean and the depth/spread cursory, the selection is far from mundane and predictable.
The second-hand items I scrutinised all appeared, at worst, in reasonable or better condition. The prices again within acceptable parameters and complying to “industry norms.”
Unlikely to exceed expectations but there again, you’re just as likely to ferret out something that skitters off piste from the same old.
Certainly worth a visit.

Great shop. Nice range of genres. Fair prices. Friendly staff. I pop in at least once a month and rarely leave empty-handed.

I love Tome, they have an incredibly varied selection of both used and new records at very reasonable prices and are approachable and helpful. They also have stock from local d.i.y. labels and some zines which are well worth browsing.

Turned up before 12 and no one was there. Checked the twitter and there was no update that it was closed. Waited untill 1.45 and a friend of the shop turned up. So I was able to look through the £1 crates in the hall and found some nice records, but didn't get to go into the main shop. Should of kept the twitter up to date.

I havent been here, I am editing this review as I had previously reviewed a crepe place in Williamsburg, NYC and magically it showed up here. Not sure how to erase it, so I will give 5 stars not to make any harm to a record place in the neighbourhood I live!

Nestled cosily in the wonderful surrounds of DIY Space for London, Tome is a calm sanctuary for those searching for interesting and rare records of almost any conceivable genre, and it's easily the most reasonably priced record shop in London.
