Reviews of Riverman Records

Absolutely brilliant record shop. A real gem with a v strong collection in every genre and all very reasonably priced - a world away from the eBay rip off merchants and the chancer pricing of many a store. Covered off quite a few from s wish list. 👍👍👍

A hidden gem, Riverman has an impressively broad range of records available, all in great condition. Definitely the first place to go for records in Oxford!

Great selection of vinyls at a decent price!

Well worth a visit if like me you were in Oxford to visit the Ashmolean. It's a five minute walk round the corner. Plenty of stock to browse, friendly owner and sensible prices.

Lovely little records store with plenty of vinyl to paw over for the free hour of parking up the road

Best record shop i’ve ever been in- so chill and organised- decently priced- i will be coming here again soon :)

Good choice of fairly priced records. Lots of jazz and rock, but something for everyone, including a great choice of soundtracks. Some new, some old, worth a detour if you're in town.

Amazing selection of rare interesting records mixed with some exceedingly well priced attainable records. LPs are well priced and singles are even better. Owner is welcoming and reasonable. If you are in Oxford you must visit this very special record shop.

Superb stock, lots of LPs and 45s at really good prices, beating the Internet. Some very rare records too, nice to see these. I found a long wanted Link Wray LP and a couple of nice Grateful Dead 12"s. Owner friendly and knowledgeable. Old school rules. Great shop.

A reassuringly old school vinyl record shop, in both a positive and negative way. A decent selection of vinyl and a few CD's. Most vinyl is reasonably priced with a few ridiculously priced apparently rare items and there is a decent range of most genres. The owner is almost a caricature of the old school, superior, rude, haughty, smug record shop owner/sales assistant. Forewarned is forearmed. Do not expect a warm welcome. The 3 stars are for the vinyl selection, 0 stars for the unwelcoming and unfriendly service from the owner. However despite the service it is definitely still worth a visit.

Good selection of vinyl of most genres. Fairly priced too.

Can't believe this shop has been open 18 months, and I never noticed. Great selection of vinyl. Will be coming back again and again.

Big selection on used and some new records. Friendly owner. Big soul and jazz sections.

The guy was knowledgeable and the prices were very reasonable. I'll look in again when I'm in the area.

Small shop but huge jazz selection and always reasonable priced.

The best used-record shop in Oxford. A huge range of excellent vinyl at good prices too.

Interesting selection, realistic pricing, well sorted by genre. Muted reception from the owner but I can live with that. Will call again.

Best selection of '77 punk (US & UK) in Oxford

Tidy and well organised. Bloke behind counter needs a charm lesson.
