Record Store Day at Vinilo Southampton Queued for the June drop of RSD 2022, the staff arrived just after 7 and we went in just after 8. Inside they had all the big hitters and a good mix of the more obscure titles When you get through the front door you head straight to the counter and ask for the titles you want, a member of staff will then grab your requests from the backroom, so very orderly, no smash and grab, but it does stop you from some proper browsing Overall it was a great experience and I can't wait to go again

This is a cool place to shop for vinyl. Great range of LPs, and worth asking the manager for what you want, as stock comes in and goes out daily. Also some good merch is available. Friendly staff, worth a visit.

I try and find a record store in every town while on tour. I'm so pleased I made the effort to find this brilliant place! Super friendly, knowledgeable, and patient staff. They have to be with my endless questions lols. Very happy to learn they are opening a 2nd branch to specialise in vintage/pre-loved vinyl. Will definitely be back for that one!

As someone partial to a bit of digging through crates of vinyl, I had been meaning to visit Vinilo for a while. When I finally got around to it, it didn't disappoint. Although the store is a little bit off the beaten track, they are well worth checking out. The store is well organised, accessible, and with friendly staff. They carry an excellent range of stock for a small store, covering all sorts of genres, periods, etc. (Including reissues of hard to find stuff.) The prices are all very reasonable. As well as the records, they also carry books and zines. They even have some branded swag - totes, t-shirts, etc. - if you fancy flying the flag for independent record stores. I will definitely be visiting again. My bank manager probably won't be best pleased, but my ears will be thankful. Visit Vinilo for all your vinyl needs!!

Lovely little record store with a nice little selection of a variety of music genres. Saw some nice reggae and hip hop gems in there and picked up and Lee scratch Perry limited edition LP for just £15. Also, great website to check before you visit, if you just have a limited time.

It's a lovely record store! It has a very independent style of music but the store in Southampton is more commercial. You can find records from Tom Mish, Animal Collective, Otis Redding, Joni Mitchell, etc. The staff is helpful and friendly. Whenever you can have a browse in the Pokesdown Store! 👌🏼

If you are looking for new and good quality secondhand vinyl in the Southampton area look no further. Whoever stocks has a good ear for new/emerging and current artists. There should be something for everyones taste, classic to current. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Keep up the good work.

Brilliant place to go get some of your favourite vinyl, its a comforting and friendly place to go not just to purchase music related items, but also their own merch. They've also go awesome connections with the music industry as they also hold multiple concerts with big name artists like Dizzy Rascal, IDLES, Oh Wonder, Mura Masa and many more. Couldn't reccomend this place any more, it's my favourite record store in the county

Went there for RSD and it was quite badly organised. Staff were lovely and store looked clean and well stocked. Shame it was just a little frustrating with the organisation of the queuing system. Thanks for the record, I look forward to coming back.

The shop is lovely and the staff are welcoming and kind. The shop has a very nice atmosphere. However if you want to listen to the vinyl you are picking out the turntables to test it are at knee hight on a windowsill with only very low benches to sit on, resulting in alot of discomfort. Although the store has plenty of space some of the records are at floor level so you have to kneel on the floor to look though them, the boxes of records are also too low down to look at without discomfort.

Great Record Store, large range of records across many different genres. You'll even find a few Lps which can be hard to find in your traditional brick and mortar store. Support local businesses!. Pricing is competitive against online retailers and they usually stock multiple copies of some titles so people aren't disappointed. Their online site is also good with stock listed of music which you can find in-store, also a great discogs store of their pre-loved titles! Site is very easy to use so you'll have no hassle finding the titles your looking for. You can tell when you visit a lot of love and care is invested in their store and the staff are all super friendly, helpful and know their stuff about music across all genres. You'll always find great music being played in-store when you visit too.

Really cute little record store at the bottom of town. Has an excellent selection of used and new records for sale, the owners are very friendly and clearly very passionate about music and records, and were lovely to talk to. Plus, you can pick up a tea or a coffee whilst you're here as well!!!

Average selection of the current and classic albums. Nothing particularly niche or esoteric. Selection of second hand items too with prices comparable to Discogs, so no hidden gems for the diggers. Prices for the new vinyl a bit more than in Rise, HMV, Resident, and other record stores, but that's not really a criticism: they're trying to turn a profit understandably. Also sell cups of coffee too which is welcome on a cold winter's day.

This is a great record store, really keeping the vinyl spirit alive. They've got a diverse collection with lots of changeups regularly and the staff are super helpful. Plus, the actual store always smells nice and something good is always playing over the speakers :)
