My partner and I love coming here. It's where we had our first date and has a special meaning to us. Aside from that, the food, drinks, service and music are always fantastic. You honestly couldn't get much better food than here at Bert's Jazz Bar. The staff go out of there way to make you feel welcome and can accommodate most requests. They even surprised my partner and I with this lovely anniversary dessert tasting plate. We stayed in their company from 5:30pm to 10:30pm and we were never put under pressure to hurry up and leave or finish our drinks and food. Can't wait to come back and do it all again soon!

What a great evening we had at this bar / restaurant. You will need to book in advance. Wonderful food, check out the specials, great cocktails, helpful friendly staff and all with the fabulous sound of great jazz in the background. This is a great place in city centre if youre a Jazz fan and love cocktails I've found. This is one of the few places with whiskey cocktails. The live music also adds nicely to the ambience. The staff here are polite and quite professional as well. Recommended.

Went for Echlinville gin distillery night. Had been to the method and madness one in February so knew I was I'm for another real treat. Service was excellent, food was off the scale and the gin cocktails were amazing. Cannot recommend enough and can't wait until the next one!

An amazing night in Belfast. Our table was booked way in advance and it was so worth it. The food was rich, flavourful and perfectly portioned. I had the soup of the day, and the fish of the day; he had bread followed by steak. The baked Alaska is to die for and they were kind enough to go off-menu by serving a bowl of ice cream. The service was very attentive without being fussy. Service charge was included on the bill and they were worth every penny of it. The music was loud, but in a fabulous way and the performance when we went was delightful. I had such a lot of fun listening to beautiful music whilst eating great food, with my lovely companion. It feels very much a birthdays and anniversaries restaurant, and probably wouldn't be right for a first date as it's a bit too loud to talk comfortably if you don't know eachother well already. If we're ever back in Belfast, I'd love to come back here; if you're in Belfast and like jazz even a little bit, you should go and fall in love with jazz there.

Visited Berts Jazz Bar while on holiday in Belfast. We had a great time, the bar had a lovely atmosphere with music starting around 8pm and the cocktails were 10/10! Our waiter was very friendly and professional. We made a few requests for cocktails that weren't on the menu and the waiter did his best to accommodate these :)

I cannot proceed to explain how amazing my dinning experience was in Bert’s Jazz Bar and the Cocktail Bar. My lovely servant - Mario, was well knowledgeable about the card, and showed great customer service throughout the whole night. His excellent work needs to be recognised. Once I was finished with my my food, Mario offered to take me to the cocktail bar upstairs, which also didn’t disappoint. All of the staff was lovely and very kind. I wasn’t aware of their closing hours on a Sunday, but I was gently reminded, instead of rushed to order, which I appreciate. To summarise - if you are looking for exquisite experience, where you will feel and be treated like royalty, this is it. I will definitely be returning when I’m back in town again!

Absolutely brilliant jazz bar. It’s eloquent and classy. The waitresses were so friendly and helpful, it was my partners birthday and it felt like we had stepped into a New York Jazz Bar. The music was mellow and perfect to end the night. Cocktails- mind blowing. We opted for non alcoholic as the bar does cater for those who do not drink. Presentation of the cocktails were amazing, the bar staff were so attentive watched them blitz away the drinks. Atmosphere was relaxing. The Jazz musicians deserve an applause as i enjoyed the music. Ended our last night in Belfast with a treat. If you are looking for something elegant and non rowdy - definitely recommend. We didn’t book beforehand but wise to as it was getting busy. Will defo return once we visit Belfast again. Left a tip for the staff as they deserved it. Compared to London cocktail bars, this was far better!

Got the only table available at 6pm and when we arrived the restaurant was empty so didn't think it would be great but it pretty soon filled up and the food was wonderful. My wife had fish of the day and I had chicken schnitzel. Both really well prepared. Desserts and cheese finished it off perfectly and the service was spot on. Well Done!

As stated by many others it is a very expensive place but it is lovely and I found the staff very attentive and friendly. I would call back for one cocktail here before heading off somewhere else. The music was at a nice level and service was fast.

Spent a wonderful evening here having stopped by for a drink without reservations. Staff (Shay and Conor) were fantastic full of chat and such was the ambience that we stayed far beyond our first drink. Also ordered the baked camembert towards the end of the evening. This place must be incredible whem live music is played (alas we are still in lockdown restrictions atm) and we will return to dine here when back in Belfast. A really wonderful evening. Had lunch last weekend and it was very nice, the attention to detail, fresh ingredients, balanced combination of flavours and overall our palets had a good time with different experience than the casual restaurants in Belfast can only dream of. This restaurant was so much fun, make sure y’all stop by at night when the live Jazz starts to play. A couple of delicious, well-crafted drinks makes the night light up. Have visited Bert's several times and the photos are from a meal whilst listening to a live Kazz band. The good and service was fantastic, the waiters could not do enough to make we enjoyed our meal and the band played a request of ours as it as a birthday meal. Visited a while ago, however, the experience was fantastic. The gent serving myself and my work associate was very patient and helpful with the drinks menu, the drinks were also well made and very well balanced. Alongside this, the performing act was absolutely amazing. A gem of a find on our way to dinner one evening. Very glad we wandered passed and visited for a drink afterwards. Ended up there again on our second/last night in Belfast. Delicious cocktails! Very extensive drinks list of wine, beer and cocktails for reasonable prices. Wait staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. The bands on both nights worked very well together and set a pleasant, classic jazz and romantic atmosphere which we all loved. Highly recommend!!

Found Bert’s after doing some walking and a lot of internet searching, could not have been happier with the discovery. Emily at the bar made fantastic cocktails and was so incredibly nice and helpful; the rest of the staff absolutely followed suit. Music was brilliant, drinks were delicious, if you’re looking for the kind of cocktail bar is THAT type of vibe don’t give this place a miss.

Amazing dinner at this restaurant last night. Ambience was amazing and my party of four were impressed with our food especially the duck liver pate, camembert and chateaubriand. The desserts were something else as well - shoutout to the pistachio and olive cake with cheesecake ice cream. The cocktail selection was so vast but the manager helped us narrow it down based on individual preferences and it was one of the best cocktails I have had! Amazing service, so professional. Manager was polite and clearly passionate about his job. Made us feel so welcomed and well looked after. 110% recommend this place for good quality and amazing food! Will definitely return in the near future.

We went for a birthday meal and had an excellent chateaubriand, and some great cocktails; however the bar seemed to be having great trouble making the drinks. We started with a pair of cocktails and some olives, all of which were excellent, as was the service throughout. We then ordered some wine and another cocktail to go with the steak. The wine eventually arrived (after two further requests) right as we were finishing the main course. The cocktail (a rich negroni-style drink to accompany the steak) was still not ready by the time the plates were cleared, so we cancelled it and moved onto dessert. We were there for nearly nearly two hours before my second drink arrived, along with dessert. What made it more galling was we were sat in plain view of the bar, and could see the four staff standing around and chatting, occasionally making a drink and clearly not being rushed off their feet as it was early and half-empty. Overall it seemed like a great place, and the waiting staff were very attentive, if unable to do anything about the drinks. Perhaps we were just there on a bad night. Shame the waiters were let down by the bar staff.

Absolutely amazing, I loved the jazz theme, the food was a different experience altogether and the staff really made the night. Our server was Conor, the OG in Berts, as there was 3 Conors so this is how we told them apart. He really made us feel so comfortable and well looked after and gave some really good suggestions on what to eat and drink. He is a true credit to the restaurant had the chicken schnitzel for dinner and my mouth is watering just thinking of it again. The food is expensive but worth every penny! The only downfall is there was no live jazz music, but that could be due to it being a Monday night and covid, but we'll be back again to see it in full swing!

Spent the Evening at Bertz Jazz Bar and it was superb. We enjoyed the set menu of 3 courses and bottle of wine for £70. Looked expensive but when the food came it was out of this world. Serious complements to the chef! To top off a fantastic meal, we enjoyed some fabulous music from a live Jazz band. Their talent was phenomenal and the fact that they welcomed requests made the experience more personal. To finish with, the customer service was outstanding. The staff were so attentive, friendly and on the ball. Definitely recommend this bar and will certainly be returning on my next trip to Belfast !

It's great for jazz/blues any time, especially when a live band is playing. It attracts an older, well-heeled, and somewhat snobbish crowd. Drinks are expensive: forget about your pint, go for a premium brand of hard liquor, or a cocktail you haven't tried yet. One of a handful of places in town where you must book a table for the evening in advance: no chance to get one on the night if a band is on. Seating is luxurious and it segregates the sitting and the standing people a little too well: great if you don't want to be disturbed, not so great if you are left standing whilst your party are sitting.

Amazing cocktails. Arguably the best in Belfast, place is super clean, trendy and extremely relaxing with fantastic staff. Yet to call in for food but I've had a peak at what's been going down to the tables and it looks amazing so it's on the list! Highly recommend with cocktails for both him and her... If you're like me and like a stiff drink you'll not be disappointed, the classics will knock your socks off but in the best way possible!! Very balanced and altogether delicious.

Quite literally one of the best bar experiences in Belfast. The atmosphere is electric, with this great hum of life, but you can still hear what you're saying. Five star service, amazing food and terrific music. The chef and their team at Burt's go out of their way to make you feel special. We went here to celebrate on our last night in Belfast and absolutely nothing about it disappointed. The menu offers something for everyone, from vegans to venison lovers. Their cocktails are so delicious and they sell cigars which you can smoke with your apres dinner drinks on the heated patio. The cherry on top is that the piano player even broke out some Tom Waits. Bottom line, treat yourself to an evening at Burt's Jazz Bar, it's the bees knees!

We did Berts Jazz bar by request of my daughter as she wanted to go somewhere posh for her birthday. It didn't disappoint, the food was very good, the place feels classy and service was great. We stumbled upon this beautiful jazz bar one Saturday night as part of The Merchant Hotel. Wish we had of know about it beforehand as you wold definitely book a table for dinner and jazz music. Such a stunning venue, very old-style plush velour décor. We just stood a t the bar and enjoyed from a distance however there were other more laid-back tables as you go further back. Definitely one place to book in advance, get dressed up and have a great night. Jazz players were brilliant as well.

Was here with my family for lunch. My son had a Conferring Cermony earlier that morning. Cannot rate this place high enough.
