Reviews of Ming Moon Chinese Restaurant & Bar
J.
Very good quality for an all you can eat buffet to be honest.
The usual setup of certain dishes only available on the evening menu that is more expensive.
On a Saturday afternoon expect to wait a short while in the bar area to get a table, then expect to hear happy birthday every 15 minutes for the duration of your meal. It's a popular venue, it's to be expected.
We have visited a few times and found weeknights really good, standard buffet as usual plus some king prawn dishes etc.
The fresh area is good, they'll make a dish up for you. Buffet trays are checked and replaced often and kept warm.
Pretty good overall.
E. D.
One of my all time favourite places to eat!
Service is always absolutely incredible here - not overbearing like most restaurants, but incredibly attentive and polite which is perfect for me.
The food (variety and quality) is much better than what you'd expect from a buffet. As a pescatarian, it can sometimes be slightly trickier to find suitable options for eating but there is so much to choose from even if you're not a meat eater.
Took my partner here for the first time on Monday evening and he loved it. Can't wait to return.
t. s.
15.99 each person .Food is very tasty.
I don't normally eat cake but their cakes amazing. Service excellent Very clean and a really enjoyable experience.
All you can eat so if you love your food it's the place to go.
They can't do enough for you.
R. B.
Very busy to get food and karaoke room being in the basement is two flights away from the food for anyone with mobility issues, I am really glad I didn't invite my parents. They have a lift but we had a group member who asked to use it as she was stuggling with the stairs and the seats were not clean in the karaoke room we were in. Regarding the karaoke the search feature wasn't working properly and we had to just put in the first two letters to find songs. On the plus the freshly made food was great and everything I ate was delicious.
The room was nicely decorated and comfortable but I was told it would take between 10 and 20 people I disagree that 20 people could comfortably sit in that room and I was lucky I had some people that couldn't turn up on the day because we never would have been able to comfortably sit in there and eat.
In the end I had a great time in great company but there would definitely have been room for improvement in my opinion.
R. H.
Staff were lovely, a little bit more drunken crowd lively than I'd imagined, some people in there had no respect for the restaurant. But overall, the food was good, decor nice, only downside is, the tables were a little close together (bums in faces from people trying to squeeze past our table). I will definitely try this place and a more earlier time as my rating maybe based on time of day (9:30pm - 10:30pm).
J. P.
Beautiful food. Price is acceptable at £13 per head. There was times when we needed assistance from staff and there seemed to be nobody around but generally a really nice place and the chocolate cake to top it off was amazing. Would certainly go again.
D. V.
Staff and design save this from a 1 star...
It's... well industrial. Which is what you would expect but, although looking varied, choice is limited.
To top it up, they were out of most seafood when we visited...
The deserts were LITERALLY unfreezing in front of our eyes.
On the positive side, the chef bar is amazing.
It's a good canteen but... think what you want before you go in. If you want a restaurant.... think again

Wow really surprised we booked for a table at Ming moon and we didn’t have to wait to long for our table then when we was at our table we was being asked what drinks would we like and then we went and got our buffet really enjoyed the food/ drinks and great friendly staff Service👍🏻
A. F. (.
Delicious and affordable meals. Team is very understanding and polite. Manners cost nothing. I'm very happy that I found them.
S. B.
Good value, great range of food, good quality food. Only let down is there was a lot of rowdy customers/children but that is almost expected. Really good customer service otherwise.
M. A.
Food was good. For a price of £10, you can't go wrong.
However, I wish the waiters gave water more quickly, as it was a pain to keep asking them to refill our glasses(instead of giving a jug or having a dedicated drinks machine)
D. M.
Went to Ming Moon over the weekend and it was excellent - they have every dish you can imagine! and I only paid £15.99 during lunch time, worth every penny. Would highly recommend going back in the future.
C. W.
Lots of variety buffet food. Always hot and food trays filled up quickly when running low. Dessert was fab. Loved the ice cream. I will revisit again as I had eaten way too much to try everything.
K. W.
Fantastic evening. Delicious food with some unexpected entertainment. It was a great evening had by all. All the other customers were kind and considerate which is unexpected from the chaos it took to get there. (Via Birmingham train station and bullring). Staff were attentive, polite and really friendly. Will be returning it was fantastic.
S.
Definitely a great buffet, had loads of options of food to eat. Drinks are reasonably priced, went on valentines day so was a bit pack but still a great experience nothere less. Gonna go again to try the karaoke 🎤
S. a. E.
Great selection of food. Friendly staff. City centre location. Good value for money. Plus private Karaoke 🎤 rooms for special occasions. The chocolate fountain and ice cream machine are back...yay!!!
E. D.
Nice Chinese buffet, with a wide assortment of delicacies, it was a sweet experience. Will sure visit again for some more sumptuous enjoyment. And also affordable, lunch is cheaper than dinner.
M. N.
It's a nice place, clean and comfortable. Offered a good variety of food, though it can't compare with the best buffet I had tried in Hong Kong. But with such a low price, it's a steal to enjoy my lunch buffet here. I'm glad that I neglected those negative reviews and come for a try. Food is not cold as some reviews criticized, it's warm and desserts are delicious. It's better than what I had expected. Will definitely come again and look forward to trying its dinner buffet which will offer more variety of food.
P. D.
Better food than I expected to be honest with it being buffet. I enjoyed the experience and food. I felt it needed a good cleaning to make the restaurant a bit more appealing.
A. G.
Amazing 🤩I suggest you try it, great, especially for dinner😋😋
J. J.
Good experience there. Staff very friendly and supportive. Good social distancing and hygiene. The food is delicious.
P. F.
Yes, I loved it. Not as good as the, now closed, Big Wok, but nevertheless quite charming. Interesting decor and lots of mirrors make it look quite chic and bigger than it really is. Food is eclectic and tasty, regularly refreshed. Something for most people, but probably not for gourmets. Good vfm.
S. P.
Good experience for a Chinese buffet, price is reasonable, food is good and there are plenty of choice for starters, mains and desserts. Haven't tried the teriyaki grill on this occasion but worth noting there is one. Sushi are also simple but good. Staff are polite and kind, providing great service. Food is replenished promptly so unlikely to run of any if your favourite. I recommend this restaurant for a nice meal with friends or with family and kids. Will definitely visit again, as it is well and conveniently located.
N. L.
Fantastic food with great service. There were plenty of choices and the food was fresh. I would happily visit again, thank you!
S. L.
Lovely meal with family. Didn't book in advance and arrived at 2 o clock. Restaurant was busy for that time of day but we were easily seated. (6 people) food was lovely. plenty of choice for a lunchtime buffet. Prices were £10.99 per adult and £7.99 per child ( under a certain height) which appears different to the online price list we found, but well worth the money. Not so much dessert choice from what we remember previously though. All in all though was a lovely afternoon. Will be back again.
J. N.
One stop shop for Chinese Buffett. A good array of food items both starters and main dishes. Excellent selection of Desserts.
Good to book before if you are looking at peak weekend times. You could walk in after 9pm. Open till late.
The only pitfall we experienced was there was a huge delay in bringing drinks to the table as it was very crowded. But the staff is usually diligent, pleasant and always available to help.
There is sufficient seating and social distancing
If you haven't been to that area before do look at Parking options as its not easy find parking exactly where the restaurant is situated.
M. W.
Can't fault the place everything is high standard food is excellent
Z. I.
Firstly it's a buffet so don't expect a 5 star restaurant experience, saying that I would have to say its probably the best buffet in Birmingham right now since kyoto closed down.
Big range of food that still tastes great !
L. A.
It's was nice restaurant, with helpful staff. They have a variety of different food selection. Nice variety of dessert too. Clean environment.
D. M.
Great Buffet lovely environment, was a bit disappointed that there was no crab claw or prawn toast starters on the evening but the choice of food was great so made up for it. Would recommend.
C.
Amazing buffet, myself and my partner was stuffed and content with the amount of choice they had here. Fresh food and not pre heated food.
T. M.
Impressed with the level of efficient service. Great selection and great value, especially at lunch time. Food wasn't bad at all for a buffet. Beef was quite chewy but is to be expected at a place like this. Lots of other dishes to choose from.
J. K.
Amazing, Food hot and fresh throughout the service.
Absolutely packed but didn't run out of anything and never had to wait for tables to be cleared.
A. R.
Great food selection to go with family but some things could’ve been cooked better to make perfect as all flavours was there
D. /.
I have been here before many years back
Really friendly staff , cleared tables efficiently.
Really enjoyed the food , very tasty and warm too.
Good choice of food and would go back again
N. R. D. S.
Overall a super experience, simple but super. I was very hungery so the food tasted superb. I had spring rolls, beef and black bean sauce with egg fried rice and a San Miguel. The service was great, fast and polite I could not have asked for more. Price was great value too well worth a visit.
H. E.
This place offers a lot of selections for food, very clean, lightning is awesome. I am a visitor from the USA, I appreciated the friendly staff, that staff name Jojo, was very accommodating and welcoming. Thanks for the accommodation. I love the food.
j. w.
Would of given 5 stars but they had ice cream as they normally would with thier dessert selection. This always finishes of the satisfying buffet.
M. W.
Love this place, good value, great food and a really nice environment. Oh and good staff too.
A. E.
The staff was friendly, the food taste alright, but the selection was not 5 star compare to other Chinese restaurant. The environment was very neat, and staff are always there to take your cups and plates away. The atmosphere is nice, good music, caterer to family, groups and even couples. Rated four star because we went in the evening at 4:40 To be precise and had to pay 18 per person for an hour and half, too pricey when I can eat same dishes for £5 in my comfort at home.
A. R.
Delicious food, large variants of dishes.
A. Z.
Went here for my birthday with my boyfriend, the food wasn't bad. I think its good for how much you pay.
T. P.
Nice all you can eat. Mostly Chinese with a couple of other dishes.
Booking advised.
Karaoke rooms also available and great fun if into those things.
C. G.
Was so annoyed to find that they'd put the prices of their Saturday lunchtime menu up after id booked for a birthday!!! Not happy at all that they don't do refillable drinks! The hand dryer in the ladies was broken, there's no ice cream machine either just little pots of what I can only describe as a synthetic frozen desert, definitely not ice cream! Won't be returning, there's others that are better!
k. c.
Food very nice
Staffs very professional
Good services
Highly recommended.
a. s. k.
Delicious food, lovely staff and reasonable prices. Will definitely be coming back!
D. A.
Excellent service and hygiene and food quality. The starters and mains were flawless, the dessert table wasn't as amazing but still worth it. £9.99 per adult buffet menu was great value for money. I'm definitely going again next month. 32 mouthwatering meals and starters to choose from! You can't eat them all, trust me I tried 😋
J. M.
Haven't been for awhile but the last time I was there I enjoyed the food I'm definitely got my money's worth. If you're looking for all-you-can-eat, Ming Moon is definitely one to try. 🙂
l. c.
Fabulous food & desserts, the staff is really nice and friendly. It was my first time here but I will be coming more often x. Can't wait for next time x.
C. T. (. A.
I would give a 5 for overall experience, for the times I was there. Had been there couple times with family and at Christmas Party there. I like food selection and atmosphere. Plus it was the first time I tried Mojito over there. 👍
O. L. V.
We made the mistake of booking a meal for a large party on Saturday evening. The place was absolutely full and we were nearly refused entry even though we booked! The wait was at least 30 minutes.
The food was OK, but I would avoid on weekends. Staff on the door was flustered and rude. I think I'll try somewhere else next time.
A. M.
The best moment from this birthday party! Thank you, Mo for this amazing night! 🎁🎉🎊
#MingMoon #BestRestaurant
R. R.
Great night there in the Guns n Roses karaoke room! Only thing that would make it better is more up to date music selection. Overall it was a great night!!
T. B.
Lovely big restaurant. Good quality food as far as all you can eat goes. Reasonably priced for all you can eat lunch. Massive selection. Would go back again.
J. L.
A nice range of Pan Asian food served buffet style. Good value, with a wide selection of different dishes, including desserts.
M. P.
Good buffet with a large range of desserts, but not quite as large of a range of savoury foods. Very good stuff there, would suggest
S. J.
Very good all you can eat buffet clean, food hot and good variety of food.
Very good service by Mo the Manager he is very good and friendly making sure we had everything we needed was a pleasure to meet him

The food was wonderful. Loads to choose from .the staff were very good
O. G.
I went on a Sunday, and it cost 3 of us £48 without drinks. The food is good, and there is a wide selection of desserts but it is very expensive.
J. J. D.
You can't go wrong. Lot's of dishes to choose from. All the staff had mask on and were friendly and attentive. The food was good too. There was not a wait for table for 2 so it was good. It was in the evening £17.99 for an adult. The price is not bad either.
E. B.
Lovely tasty food, so much choice! Our party of 5 had a great evening. The buffet was continuously re filled and kept clean and the friendly staff regularly took our empty plates. No complaints at all. 👍
P. D.

Although a large queue was seated quite quickly. Most food great but some seemed to be left out for a bit too long.
D. I.
Tonight we went for my good ladies 50th birthday, the crazy rich asian room was perfect, the food absolutely sublime with more choice than you could imagine,as for the staff-byron and his bar cohorts were excellent, totaly enjoyed the evening and definitely recommend/will be back, could not of asked for a better night, thank you ming moon, superb, regards dorrien and lesa🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟5 stars because they deserve it❤️
E. B.
Went here after seeing Riverdance at the Alexandra Theatre.. a perfect end to the evening. Food was delicious, cleanliness seemed great and I'd say it's probably worth the price. Only downside is the fact you can here the karaoke singers from the separate room, though it gave us a good giggle :)
J. E.
Good food and very funny and helpful staff. Had a great time there.
K. W.
Great place for lunch, especially if you're hungry. Good value too.
H. A.
Amazing all you can eat fixed price buffet - Chinese food, Ramen bar and Sushi. Great desserts too :)
N. R.
First time going, some good service off one of the waiters and a manager as I wasn't feeling well on the day and they ended up refunding my meal! One member of staff however was rude to their colleague who was serving us.
Also the ice cream machine, chocolate fountain and bar were unavailable for use so I thought the overall cost should have been lower but I will return to give it another go!
K. g.
Really nice food and great atmosphere. Well worth the money
H. C.
Was a bit busy and had to wait for the food trays to be refilled. Other than that the food was nice
J. W.
Good value for afternoon buffet.good choice of food.great puddings
n. l.
Great place had lovely meals and great staff make you feel welcome
K. O.
Simply delicious. It’s a buffet all you can eat Chinese with so much variety and choice it’s great. All food was cooked nicely and I felt was fresh. Drinks are really expensive however. Also although the evening prices are higher you have more options. Always busy so that tells the story.
C. M.
Visit here everytime I come to Birmingham. Staff always nice, plenty of good food choice, always hot and really delicious. Rare to find a buffet that offer duck for pancakes instead of pork. Recommend to everyone who likes Chinese food 😁
T. m. f.
Really nice food, I've marked down one star as it was so warm in there.
B. M.
Amazing!! The food was fresh and hot, constantly being filled. We even went down to the karaoke rooms and my god I had THE best night. Really would recommend this place.
A. W.

S. D.
Great food cheap considering what you get for your money very high standards of hygiene
M.
Great selection of meals, including soup. They have a buffet and menu section to choose from
On this occasion they had a piano player which was a nice touch
There's also a dessert counter which includes ice cream, a chocolate fondue fountain and sweets. His for family's and large groups
M. L.
Fantastic food, and really friendly service. My partner has allergies too, and we found that staff were really accommodating to that. Definitely will be coming back.

Ming Moon was a great restaurant for our sports team, lots of really nice food with great service made for a lovely experience. Will definitely be coming back.
J. A.
Great atmosphere and great value for money. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Although some of the food was tasteless
P. R.
Not handicap accessible. Long stairs to enter restaurant, however the staff is extremely helpful. Food and service are decent. No prawns served on lunch buffet, only at dinner.
J. H.
Nice and friendly staff, seated in a minute, food was alright, but compared with another restaurant wich offers same service, I was a bit disappointed! A bit to small and not a lot of food selection, I was expecting more dishes... And nooo cocktails!!?? 🤔
e. t.
Wow
great food great service snd great atmosphere will definitely be coming back 15.99 for the buffet well worth it not too expensive drinks wise either either 3.29 a large coke or 1.89 a half
A. M.
It was really good however the chocolate fountain wasn't working which was a real shame. Overall the food was really good and totally worth the amount of money.

Food as you would expect.
Been going for years
The maintenance budget appears to have been cut, projectors, lights decoration looking a bit tired now,
Also the soft drinks have never come with any fizz still years later lol
Always busy though and nice polite staff.
D. S.
I enjoyed my time at ming moons, the prawns weren't to my taste but everything else was fine.
S. N.

Simple as that really. Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and as much food as you can eat. What else could you ask for? If you go in the day it's much cheaper.
Would 100% recommended.

Brilliant Chinese buffet with a great selection of food, definitely something to please everyone. Always lots of staff so tables stay nice and clear and fresh food is brought out regularly. It's always busy so nothing sits there for too long. The desserts section isn't brilliant except for the ice cream machine! But last time I went this wasn't working :(

A. J.
Great selection, all very tasty. Only downside was the stairs as had a pushchair so appears to be no disabled/pushchair access
S. B.
Brilliant food and great table service.

The staff here are really friendly and cannot do enough to help. We were visiting in a big group and were accommodated in an almost private area to the side of the main dining hall, but not without any of the atmosphere. Everywhere was clean and the tables large. The setting was nice and had a good social vibe but best of all was the food - loads of variety and of the quality you’d expect from such a place. Every item on the buffet was kept stocked up right until closing time and the counters were good at keeping things consistently warm. There are some live cooking stations for the dishes you’d expect.
Throughout the evening staff were constantly attending to our tables checking for extra drinks, and when ordered they were brought quickly. There’s also some nice seating in the bar area should you need to wait for a table to be made available.
For the price it’s certainly impressive. If you’re in a large group then it works well but even as a couple I’d happily return!

Great food, great service. Top marks. 👍
T. H.
It's ok, i feel it's pretty overpriced, considering the poor service and average food. They seem to water everything down too.
B. B.
Wow amazing customer service from ming moon. Lovely food for lunch with ate Minda.
I. T.
Lovely food. Fresh. Always being looked after.
j. d.
The food was rather nice and the waitress was lovely, however the desserts were utterly terrible, totally inedible. There was no alcohol served due to current Covid restrictions (July 2021)
C. C.
Really enjoyable lunch today. Great service as didn't need to ask for (reasonabley priced) drinks or plates to be taken away as attendants were always close by. The choice of food is excellent for the amount you pay and unlike some buffets the desserts are included. The quality was very good and more importantly it was fresh and tasty. I'd definitely visit this Asian buffet again, and again!
S. S.
Food was great, and a good variety. Very busy.
s. v.
Food was very good. But my only criticism is that we wasn't served or offered drinks until we asked.
M. C.
Best buffet for food and service well worth a visit
P. J.
Wow, really great food, a huge variety, and the staff were extremely friendly. We recommend the teppanyaki squid.
M. G.
Solid all you can eat restaurant with variety of food
A. A.
Lovely food, very nice place to eat and spend time.
W. R.
Best Chinese buffet I've had in a while, pleasant staff, good company.
F. W.
Great interior lots of different decorations. Excellent food, tasty & great selection & service.
F. F.
Very nice and very busy!
Staff are fantastic 👏
M. N.
Buffet Table style , a wide range good value.
D. S.
Great food and really enjoyed the karaoke room. Highly recommend!
P. Z.
Good place with nice food. Goes to the dogs. No ice-cream and very bad customer service. You feel like in prison because the way they serve the food is different.
h. W.
Great food, staff on the door not very nice.
P. I.
Always go Lunch time, cannot complain at all as all you can eats go I've always left with a happy full belly.
L. N.
Staff very helpful and friendly. Food was amazing. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a decent Chinese.
H. B.
Very nice buffet at a reasonable price, very accomodating of large group bookings.
L. M.
Awesome food and service loved it will def go back
r. d.
one of our favourite buffets huge choice and competitive price all round excellent service
B. T.
I have been a few times now with my partner and I never really have had a bad meal here.
The selection is varied and always seems to be cooked well. As you would expect, it has a good selection of starters and mains so there should be something for everyone.
The deserts are good too, a bit more limited but it gets a good score from me just for having profiteroles and a chocolate fountain.
It's well priced considering it is in the city centre and there is some cheap parking not far from there.
T. B.
Very expensive now. Monday night buffet £17.95 per head before drinks. Price has rose rapidly over the last few years. There are others in the area just as good but much cheaper. It's a nice room but average food choice doesn't warrant the price.
B. B.
I am a regular at this place.
Food is usually of good quality and reasonable variety. Great value for lunch time and have no dinner afterwards.
The only disappointment is that most of the cakes for dessert are DEFROSTED.
They would score full marks from me, if they get proper cakes for dessert.
Make use of their customer loyalty card. Ask for one if you do not have one.
A. A.
Very good food and very friendly staff I confidently recommend this restaurant!!!
M. T.
Good karaoke rooms, food was basic buffet food.
R. P.
Good choice of food for the price. The only criticism I have is that we were seated by the counter where people queued for a freshly cooked stir fry. Who wants to eat while a queue of people's backsides are right beside your table. Was going to ask to be moved but everyone stopped using it all of a sudden. I enjoyed most of the food on offer. I personally never tried the desserts but there seemed plenty on offer. Would definitely visit again but would be more careful where we would be seated.
D. P.
Customer service was great and the food very good with a many choices and not too much GMS salt.
C. A.
Myself and my partner were little disappointed due to the fact that most of the food wasn't hot enough and a few of the dishes were lacking in flavour.
On a positive note the customer service was good and the restaurant looked the part, but unfortunately we will not be eating here again.
B. Q.
Always great quality food and a large selection
L. B.
Love this place been to this one twice and the one in Wolverhampton the Birmingham one is better with more options of food
J. K.
Karaoke and buffet. A great combination for a family catch up.
Three families from 7+ yrs old! So much fun.
We had the room from 5pm until 7.30pm (depending on the room you had to spend a minimum of £98 but that was easily covered by 12 buffets and a few drinks).
It enabled us to have an affordable private event together.
The food was fantastic. Huge choice.
D. M.
Lovely very picturest loved the decor friendly staff. Variety of dishes on the menu. My favourite muscles in black bean sauce.😋
G. P.
Really great, good food friendly staff, what more could you ask for ?
S. C.
Food quite good. During weekend you can find a lot of people. You can organize birthday, anniversary, but remember that it can be really crowd in this place. They can set the table for you. Personnel is really helpful and friendly. Water is for free. For the rest you need to pay. It will be hard with children, because in this place is no special room for kids. They are running around the table. ;/
1. 9.
Good buffet overall. Some great dishes such as duck and crispy beef, some weird (e.g. battered prawns with shells still on inside batter...). Not many decent vegetarian options. Very random portion sizes (causes waste).
Felt safe from COVID - good serving system.
Don’t go if you care about the environment - 5-10 plastic spoons with each dessert, plastic cups for water, ice cream served in tiny plastic containers.
J.
Food isn't bad and does contain a decent amount of flavour.
I went on a Saturday night which is probably peak time and I found service to be severely lacking. Our Waitress was either very new or had difficulty hearing us but she made plenty of mistakes and had to get colleagues to come and reconfirm our order each time.
It also took an hour and a request to get old plates cleared off our table. I also wasn't a fan of having sauces in a tin with only a small spoon to serve it as the spoon itself got very dirty very easily and seemed unhygienic.
Despite the underwhelming service the food wasn't too bad and there was a decent selection of desserts but I don't think I'd say it was worth the (£17.99).

We ended up here because we have an 8 year old grandson who is a very fussy eater. Against his wishes he was persuaded to go to a Chinese buffet for lunch but it worked out really well. There was so much choice that even he found something to eat. I was please to see that, if he had continued to make a fuss, there was fish & chips as an option. As it turned out, he got brave and was prepared to try familiar foods cooked in a different way, and he loved it. The three adults were pretty satisfied as well. Plenty of choice, all clearly labelled. Plates were cleared promptly by very polity and efficient staff. There is great selection of mini deserts so, you can imagine his delight, when our grandson realised he could have five different deserts. It was just under £50 for three adult and a child, including drinks, which I though was quite good value. So, if you also have a young, fussy eater this is a good place to go.
A. L.
Good choice of food but very warm and noisy. Staff were polite. Good value.
B. S.
Went here with some friends while on a Christmas market trip. Conveniently located, easy to access. The service was good, we were approached straight away and guided to a table. The was no wait for drinks. There was plenty of choice for food and what we had was hot fresh and nice and tasty. Will definitely go here again next time we go to the market.
J. M.
The party room service is great, staffs are friendly
G. J.
We wanted a Chinese or Thai restaurant before attending a show at the Hippodrome. We decided on the Ming Moon and was pleasantly surprised. We had to wait about 15 for a table which wasn't too bad for a Saturday night. The food was great and an excellent selection. Prices were reasonable for the city centre.
C. S.
Very nice selection of Chinese buffet and I think the prices are reasonable
R. M.
Food glorious food..what value what a selection...and great staff
A. J. H.
Great selection for the buffet and the staff were extremely helpful for us first timers. The seating was not as good though being placed right next to the dessert cart, didn't have much privacy and took a long while to pay for the bill as waiter was extremely busy, I would put that down to it being an extremely hectic Saturday.
I. H. J.
Lovely food and plenty of choices.
C. J.
Went here last month, was around £22 for the Karaoke Room and Buffet. Buffet was fantastic, the sushi especially good. Desserts were lacking, but that's always the case at chinese buffets. Main downside was that the karaoke room was difficult to navigate songs. Great value all round, one of the best buffets i've been too.
D. G.
General stuff: Staff are nice, seats are well placed and the building is well lit. The place itself is kind of hard to find.
Food: Food for everyone, you don't like Chinese food? They have sushi. You don't like sushi? They have chicken nuggets and chips. I love how it's all you can eat as you can always get your money's worth. Food comes out often so there is always a constant supply. Definitely worth the price.
D. H.
First visit today lovely place and food excellent. Would recommend
A. O.
The venue itself is lovely. I also really enjoyed the buffet - there's a good variety of food available. Where Ming Moon unfortunately fell flat for me was that I attended with a group who had pre-booked a room in advance. Upon arrival, we were told there were no rooms available and they seemingly had no record of our reservation. To their credit, they did rectify the issue by providing us with a different room, but it was rather frustrating and left me with a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
M. D.
Nice place with variety selection of food
A. S.
Good food and a good place to take the kids
J. S.
I love this restaurant. Brilliant customer service and the food is delicious. It will sound a little bit awkward but I always eat their fired egg rice when I go there. I just love it and I can't get enough. Apart from that, they have a delicious variety of food. And their cakes for desserts are amazing.
J. V.
My second time here. First was for lunch and this time dinner both on a Friday. The food is good , always hot and regularly refilled. The puddings are amazing but I was disappointed the chocolate fountain wasn't on this time. The staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble. I hope to return very soon.
I. R.
Went to the KTV area with a group of friends. Had a great time with my friends and the facilities are very good with accommodating staff. We used the buffet to eat so we could separate the costs easier between us all and although the food isn't great, it is a buffet so it wont be authentic. However what stops this review from being a 5 star is when we was waiting for the chef to cook our noodles there was a woman in front of us who had the chef cooking for over 10 dishes which is unacceptable when there is a queue. It kept growing large with everyone getting angry over her. It took 30 to 40 minutes before we could get served. They need to create a rule where they will only so 1 or perhaps 2 dishes of food per person, so if they want more they have to rejoin the queue so it doesn't spoil the enjoyment of others.
A.
Amazing place. Great staff, very helpful. Seated very quickly, clean setting. Hot fresh food. Especially helpful with my daughters celebration cake which was love and very reasonably priced too
A. R.
Food was nice, but not enough, small portions & really overpriced considering I paid £17 each I think people should eat elsewhere, ull get better deal.
S. T.
Pretty good. Lots of selection not just Chinese food. Is busy so recommend booking beforehand. Best to sit on the normal level than the ground floor as you will be stuck having to go up through the tiny spiral staircase. Most food is done fresh & are always replenished quick.
K. T.
Goof food but the under 1.4m for kids is ridiculous
T. C.
One of the best Chinese buffet around in UK
K. B.
Large choice of well cooked food. I tried a little bit of almost everything, nothing was undercooked or overcooked, which can be a hazard with high turnover places like buffets.
All the food was very good. The interior is quite modern with an Asian flair. The tables are clean and not too close together.
There's live music in the evenings. And there can be a 20-30 minute wait as they switch from lunch time to dinner time, so best avoid arriving around 4-5 o'clock.
G. H.
Quick service to be seated, didn't book. Food was 5 star buffet and great value for money for a lunch menu. Would definitely go again. Lots of choice for children with chips, chocolate fountain and an ice cream machine
N. W.
Just got back from a weekend away in Birmingham and last night we arrived around 9 to get some grub. It was very busy which I didn’t have an issue with , we were quite happy to wait . As we made our way to the bar one of your staff came up behind me and said excuse me . I tried to move out his way but it was totally packed and I couldn’t move . He then walked into me knocking his ear piece out and then blamed me walking off and saying “that’s why I said excuse me” in a sarcastic voice . I think it’s pretty unprofessional to speak to customers that way. The food itself was your standard buffet food . Nothing to write home about but it did the job and tasted decent enough.
I. W.
Food ok, have to assume that the evening menu options are more extensive and better quality as we would happily pay the lunchtime price for this but not the evening rate if this is it. Sweets selection is also very disappointing even for a lunchtime. No unlimited ice cream machine and no labels on anything. They are better/worse places than this. Not bad though.
b. d.
Great food and location. Clean environment and friendly service. Most food was out but the silver plate warmers were all empty. All named tagged and had a lot of people looking into them. Situated against thecwall. But other than that there was plenty to try. All fresh and not sitting there ages which is normally a buffet problem.
L.
Great food! I'm sometimes a little wary around the quality of buffet food but I was pleasantly surprised! So much choice for myself (a pescetarian) as it wasn't all meat and the food itself was delicious. The staff were friendly too which made the experience even better.
e. w.
Good visit. We went on a Sunday for birthday celebrations, there were two others also, the food was well presented and fresh, with the option of open kitchen freshly cooked. Drinks a little pricey but the ambiance reflected this. Overall good.
R. R.
Lovely experience, plenty of variety of to choosefrom
C. S.
Food is better than average, but that’s only because of the large variety. There is a ramen station in this restaurant, a chef will make you some ramen on demand with ingredients of your choice (limited). Staff are friendly. Quite spacious. Overall, good experience and I will be returning.
Ming moon if you see this make those korean bbq wings permanent.
T. W.
Nice Chinese buffet restaurant. Large selection of starters, mains and desert. Paid about £18 for evening buffet including drink. They have 10 themed karaoke rooms but I've never tried them. But others have said they are really good if you are booking them out as a party.
P. B.
This is the best all you can eat buffet place I have been to. You have a starter section with a large array of foods from crispy duck, crab claw, ribs and chicken balls. Lots of standards on the mains, then you have a choose your own stir-fry freshly cooked, dim sum, pancakes, sushi as well as some other special dishes. If you have room there's a large choice of deserts. Oh I forgot the salad bar. £18 on a Saturday night - great value.
J. W.
Not a bad place, but not particularly fancy. Food was acceptable for buffet food. Karaoke was quite fun, but make sure you fully understand the costs beforehand (we had to spend £x per head on drink, even though the room is advertised as free).
S. T.
Great food, good price, good service.
U. A.
Wide selection of dishes available. Each dish on the buffet has details about possible food allergies clearly displayed. The waiting staff also asked us about any food allergies before we ate. Plenty of nearby parking available and the city centre location is easily accessible from most public transport routes.
J. H.
Outstanding Chinese buffet. Best experience outside of the US for Chinese food. Everything was well prepared and delicious. The crispy Shredded chilli beef was amazing. Will return with children soon.
L. N.
The food was good, but the restaurant itself was quite chaotic & loud
K. W.
I had the Moroccan room booked as a surprise for my 30th birthday. It was great and the room was large and we had a wonderful time belting out some karaoke classics.
The only small issue was that you had to go up two large flights of stairs to get to the food, and then walk back down the stairs to take the food back to the room. I was concerned that I might fall down the stairs whilst holding my plate and cutlery. Once back in the room the staff promptly cleared the plates away once we had finished eating.
L. W.
The place is nicely decorated. Staff were polite and friendly. I ate at around 12.00pm on a Sunday. There was a wide range of food but almost all of it was luke warm to cold. The plates were not hot which did not help. The dishes/sauces were not always explained. The deserts were very nice - small delicate puddings, a chocolate fondue, lots of sweets/ice cream.
M. K.
Good food and selection for a buffet restaurant. Reasonally priced
M. W.
Excellent food and had a great time
T.
All you can eat lunch for a very good price. The food is delicious and I'm in love with the chocolate fountain and ice cream machine! Obviously it is not exactly "5* gourmet" but that isn't what you come to this place for. You come for food, food and more food, and for the price the food is genuinely delicious. Great place to take friends.
C. P. (. .. P.
Always visit when in Birmingham love the buffet!
E. B.
My mum and I visited on Saturday 27th January as we were in Birmingham for my birthday. My mum has a guide dog so I called ahead to ensure they were happy, which they were.
The restaurant is easy to find and move around though over several floors. The food station is right in the centre of the restaurant and is clean and kept well stocked.
The food was really lovely and there was a good selection available. Definitely something for everyone.
The service was fantastic and the staff very friendly and very intrigued by the guide dog who was the model of good behaviour.
Definitely recommend!!
A. A.
Always enjoy comimg here when in Birmingham. The food is tasty and always kept hot. There is a wide variety of options available. Slightly pricey but you do get good quality and quantity of the food available.
Good for group nights out or or just chilling with a friend for either lunch or dinner.
G. J.
So much choice and food is excellent we really enjoyed it. There are themed rooms you can hire to . Close to the hippodrome theatre so good place to eat before or after you have seen a show . Best to book a table .
D. F.
Great night . Karaoke food and fab service.great value for money
n.
I like this place at the right time of day. Food is 4 star easily. However the atmosphere is severely lacking. Poor lighting. Flat coke and flat lemonade. Way to packed to enjoy food. Constant interruptions by people bumping into your chair or table as the tables are millimetres apart and even closer to the food buffet it self. The staff seem as though they have been over worked and havnt rested properly in days. I can see this place following big wok in the fact it was great to start of with but steadily declining
C. B.
I've been poorly & this is the first thing I've eaten in 4 days!! It was great to be able to take small portions at a time, the food was delicious, such a variety, the staff were lovely & I thoroughly enjoyed the live music, thank you so much!
S. T.
Great English Chinese buffet. Always so much variety and so much fun. Don't go here for good quality authentic Chinese food. Go here for a good time with friends, decent Chinese takeaway style food (I always enjoy the starters most) and for a drink or two. They even have karaoke if you are into that.
J. J.
Excellent surroundings & the running buffet is superb, one can try little bits of everything & from midday to 5pm-mon-fri it's £10💞. There's also the karaoke bar downstairs with i think 10 bars,if you've got the stamina you can spend the afternoon & evening there have a bite to eat,go downstairs & have a tot & singalong. What more can you want from a night out.
N. R.
It's a Chinese Buffet restaurant near Birmingham City center.. Myself and my spouse visited the place at Saturday afternoon around 3pm..The place was quite busy and we didn't have pre booking,so had to wait for 10 mins..Stuff was polite and attentive. Food quality and spread is decent. It' s 11.99£ for adult for lunch at Saturday.Dessert is a bit limited and main courses are more or less similar kind or taste.
J. M.
This used to be my go to buffet place in town when it first opened as the food was always fresh and the selection was outstanding. The food is not quite as good as it used to be in my opinion but it is still very good. They have a dim sum bar, tapinyaki bar and they also have a good selection of sushi as well as the usual Chinese buffet dishes.
R. P.
Buffet and karaoke, you can't go wrong
I. R.
My family and I always come to Ming Moon for birthdays and other celebrations. We went today for Mother's Day & the staff were polite and attentive as usual. The food is tasty & has a wide range. The restaurant itself is beautiful. Colourful, vibrant & friendly. Definitely recommend!
D. Q.
We was a group of 9 that came here. We hadnt booked, and although it was fairly busy we only had to wait about 10 -15 minutes for our table to be set. We was sat away from the buffet and cooking bar which was i though was great as the other tables by the food stations was busy with people walking around them from other tables going to get food and looked congested.
There is everything from sushi and dumplings to ice cream and pancakes.
The price itself for the meal varies to what time you get there and day so you need to check on their web site.
The main meals had a massive selection with a variety of starter, couple of soups, rices, noodle meals, chicken, beef, pork, curries, duck and teppeyki bar whete you pick your noodles, veggies meat, prawns and give them to a chef who cooks it on a hotplate for you.
Drinks / beer was very reasonably priced especially for centre of birmingham with san migal being about £3.50 a pint.
We was all very impressed with the service and food avalable and have all said if next in birmingham we would definatly go back again.
None of us left hungry and all felt rather stuffed!
J. S.
Excellent selection of food that is always tasty and well cooked. The stir fry bar is our favourite part and they have plenty of foods to suit children that aren't feeling too adventurous. Good value for money.
J. P.
Been there twice one week, they closed both times at 9pm, even though their entrance sign said differently. First time we could only get a take away box, and second time they started cleaning while we were still eating our dinner.
Food was ok, though, a lot to choose from.
Service was ok, a lot of noise from both music and kitchen, and when we asked if they could turn down the music, she said no, and went on to take our drinksorder, which she could not hear. 🙈
W. D.
Good selection of food, and friendly, efficient staff. Drinks aren't cheap but that's to be expected. Food is replenished quickly when it runs out and seems decent quality. Recommended if you're after a buffet.
E. B.
Lunch time all you can eat buffet was 10.99 per adult in December. Lots of choice everything tasty and hot. Nice to have a gooey chocolate fountain and lots of marshmallows too
E. J.
Nice place very good food recommended.
D. L.
Great selection of food, plenty of it, and always hot. Selection for kids too, puddings lovely. Varied drink menu, there is so much food to chose can't fit it all in.
E. P.
Varied choice of food at this Chinese buffet restaurant, lovely decor and a good drinks selection too. You can even get freshly made crepes for dessert! They have private rooms with karaoke too - great for work dos or parties!
M. B.
Great buffet restaurant, very friendly staff especially waitress showing you to the table, the range of food and quality was excellent, broad choice on different food stations to choose from, piano player gave good musical atmosphere and even water to the table which you dont get everywhere. Definitely recommend going
P. C.
Nice for a quick bite to eat. Plenty of choice. It can get a little busy so book ahead. The venue was used for the karaoke too. They shut the bar in the karaoke area before midnight which in my opinion is too early
S. H.
Excellent food. So much choice. Something for everyone. If you come out hungry you must be very fussy and hard to please. Everything cooked perfectly. Staff very friendly, polite and helpful.
S.
£16.99 for an all you can eat buffet, and £3.29 for two soft drinks, extortionate.
Food was okay but not worth the money paid, if I hadn't been with a large group I would have left.
A. W.
Went for a friend's 30th, had a room downstairs. Food was good, staff very helpful and the kareoke system was good. Only downside is having to carry your food down the two flights of stairs, after a couple of drinks it wasn't easy!
E.
Everything u could eat. Nice buffet
L. W.
Greeted with a smile when we went in and shown to our table.didnt have to wait for our drinks.food was nice but could have been hotter. Good variety of meat and veggies dishes. The desserts were delicious
t. c.
quite pricey. most of the food trays was empty and not much selection on foods
J. M.
My first visit tonight, and i wasn't disappointed. There was a good selection of food to choose from. Also with the desserts. It was pretty busy, so it is suggested to book a table. But well worth it. I will definetely be going back.
p. c.
One of the best eat as much as you can Chinese restaurants that I have been too. £12 on a Saturday but worth every penny. Drinks were only pub price not inflated like lots of places.
J. H.
Genuinely the best all you can eat Chinese buffet. Food is fresh, hot and delicious. Staff are friendly and prices for lunch are very reasonable. Next time we come to Birmingham we are definitely coming back
K. P.
Had the lunch time buffet for £10. Good selection of food and nice atmosphere. Service was good with used plates being replaced quickly. We would go back again.
J. M.
Huge range of food and really friendly team. £17.99 for an adult on a Friday/Saturday night, a pound less the rest of the week. Go with as empty a stomach as possible- I need to roll down the steps by the end
M. L.
If you like chinese food you will love ming moon all you can eat buffet
S. W.
As we walked in we were told that the food service would stop at 10.30 even though it is advertised as open until 1q.00
At £17.00 per person, I thought it a bit steep,
Although what we had was nice, I didn't think that there was enough choice for the 'mains'.
There were tables with dirty plates piled up, as there were hardly any staff clearing as all available staff were busy moping floors and one guy was hoovering not 10 foot away from us, - not very nice to be honest clean up when the clientele have gone! I won't be going back.
M. R.
Not a lover of Chinese food but the party I was with wanted Chinese so I went along. The food was good and the restaurant clean, but the staff when you didn’t want them they stood over you and then you want another drink you couldn’t get their attention. Then when it came to paying the bill our waitress was in so much of a hurry she got it all wrong leaving us standing around whilst it was sorted for ten minutes
F. S.
Great for groups but would advise else where if you want quality food instead of volume. Ice cream machine on serves in cones. Why not give ability to have s bowl?
A. A.
A pretty enjoyable night all round....although it was a bit of a mission getting the food from where we were situated....the selection of foods were good and plentiful, the staff never let a particular tray of food go empty....the kareoke rooms werw alot of fun and you had room service provided for each of the room/booths, but only for drinks. Thumbs up!!
D.
Beautiful buffet fresh food all round
E. E.
Nice interior, was seated fast, large selection of food, lots of choice. Have had better but would consider this place fairly good value for money. Eat as much as you want for £14 so not bad. Would say try it out your in three China quarter of Birmingham.
G. K.
A fantastic Chinese buffet situated a short walk away from New Street station and the Bullring.
The place is huge, but I would recommend reserving a table just in case, especially at the weekends when it can get busy! There's a large assortment of Chinese dishes available at the buffet, with starters such as spring rolls and prawn crackers, and mains such as foo yung, noodles and rice. They also have distinctly Western items on offer like chips and chicken nuggets if you aren't so partial to Eastern cuisine. There is also a dessert selection including a chocolate fountain and ice cream machine.
Ming Moon is a true Birmingham classic and excellent value for money!
N. R.
Nice place but really slow bar service
T. B.
OK food can get very busy
S. w.
Visited Mingmoon for the first time yesterday to celebrate my mother’s birthday. Staff were lovely and welcoming and the restaurant was very clean with a nice layout.
The food was absolutely wonderful, with a great variety of options, as well as they system beibg incredibly easy to understand for people who may not have visited a buffet before. I also really liked that kitchen staff regularly check on the quality and quantity of food, making sure that food is fresh and topped up.
One thing I think could be improved is for staff to ask guests upon entry if they have ever visited before, if not then maybe they could explain the system a little bit. Such as someone will be over shortly to take your drinks order, feel free to help yourself to the food when you’re ready and when you’ve finished your meal to pop up to the bar where you can pay. The reason I say this is because we got a little confused about whether we had to go up to order drinks or stay seated and someone would take our order, the same with payment as well. So I feel that this may help make things clearer for people who have never been to Mingmoon or experienced the buffet style.
Overall i had an absolutely wonderful time. This is probably the best place I’ve ever eaten and i will definitely be returning. Thanks very much to all the staff at Mingmoon for making my experience so wonderful :)

Above average all you can eat Chinese. Good selection of food.

Good restaurant , brilliant food . A little expensive compared to other buffet restaurants in the area . We booked a karaoke room for my friends birthday party and it was a shame that we had to walk up 4 flights of stairs and through the wing wah restaurant to get our food , then back again to sit and eat.

A notably finer buffet than those surrounding it, Ming Moon offers a wide selection of foods and desserts with a very welcoming environment that doesn't give off the same "cheap and cheerful" vibe that many other similar restaurants offer. The quality of food varies over time but is typically always good. Great for lunch, and dinner.

Had a lunch buffet here today with colleagues, the place was very tidy and well staffed, the buffet selection and availability was excellent. I will definitely be visiting again next time I'm in Birmingham. Can't recommend this place enough for buffet style eating.

Went for our work Christmas do. I felt it was a little on the expensive side for the evening food. But maybe I just don't have a big enough appetite to make the most of it... Will come back but either in the afternoon or just for a take away box.

Three Floor restaurant located right next to Genting Casino, opposite where Oceana used to be in Birmingham.
Have been at lunch time on a Sunday, only one floor open, i think this is reflected in cheaper lunch time price. Around 18 dishes to choose from, buffet style.
Deserts options were limited, wierd version of cheese cakes, with synthetic textures, unsure if more options available of an evening.
Food ok, not so different to your local chinese.
More floors open and more dishes available in the evening.
They have kareoke rooms down stairs, they vary in size, decorated quite nice, songs abit dated, however still fun, there is a bar downstairs aswell as upstairs.
Dim sum served downstairs too, steam dumplings with pork, various fillings, one of my favourites from a Chinese.
Staff quite friendly, provide hair chairs for babies and offered a private room for breastfeeding.
Can be very busy, expected with location, was advised of a 30 minute wait on a Sunday afternoon but was seated within 10 minutes.
Fairly clean.
Nice to go for birthdays, they will sing happy birthday and present a cake if you bring one, options to buy candles and sparklers from them too.
Overall ok, if your looking for abit more from a Chinese meal, bit posher try Kyoto down the road.

I went for the buffet so you're not getting the full restaurant experience. But that's not what a buffet is about. Great food (even for a serve yourself deal) and plenty of it. Not the cheapest but only by a quid or so and I think worth it for the quality.

Food was great loads of choice. The atmosphere was more like a night club. The staff were great removed our plate when they was empty. Desert was a disappointment should have more choice.

There isn't alot of vegetation options but a much bigger variety compared to when I previously came a few months ago. The drinks are a little overpriced and the come I had was flat. There is no pressure to eat everything on your plate which is nice as that can happen in some buffet style restaurants. Would like to see more vegetarian and vegan options.

Nice Chinese restaurant in Chinatown, Birmingham. Great food nice stuff and off at all you can eat. This restaurant is located about 5 minutes from the bullring and 8 minutes from the town centre. Has many buses that go past including the number 47 and number 80. Serves great rice, great curry and world food. 9 out of 10. I recommend visiting here at least once

It's a good place to go to anytime of the day. You can find a variety of food to choose from, even for the picky ones. You'll have to pay for drinks though. Also, they have a dedicated room where you can organise small birthdays or events, without anybody disturbing you, nor the guests.

I chose Ming Moon (Wolverhampton) for our end of season football party for 21 guests. The Restaurant met all our requirements in terms of seating us next to the game station and toilets as we had requested. Nice decor and food choice/buffet was perfect for children, however some of our guests felt the quality of the Indian dishes were not cooked by Indian chefs. BUT the height of 1.4m (which I was not privy too before I booked) determines whether you are charged an adult price even though the children were all under 12! Had I had known this beforehand or had this explained to me at the time of my telephone booking I would not have chosen this as a venue. I think the restaurant should have an age of under 16 and not a height restriction. A child is not an adult! The Manager did reach a compromise regarding this issue, however I would have rated 5 stars if he had honoured all the children due to their age to be charged children buffet prices.

I didn’t realise it was all you can eat when I’d booked, limited options available for vegetarians. Everything seemed to be deep fried and tasted the same. Staff were friendly and attentive. Restaurant was heaving, May be better suited to meat eaters.

Been here a few times when visiting Birmingham for Pride weekend with friends since 2011. Its a Chinese buffet which is standard but very clean and so much choice and variety. Would recommend but weekends are very busy so you may have to wait for certain dished to be replenished but they are as quick as possible.

Good variety of food and nice staff with middling quality of food

Never in my life did I think I would want to go to a Karaoke bar... until I find myself at this place for a work night out where I'm suddenly singing my heart out over Shania Twain. So much fun and the food was lovely - quite a few vegetarian options which was awesome.
P. S.
Went there after the big wok closed down. Don't know why we didn't go there sooner, The food is far better than The big wok. Its a little more expensive but it shows. Ming Moon is a lot cleaner and looks better. They also have themed Karaoke in the basement. Will be going there again very soon.

Great place plenty choices

Omg food is fabulous staff are very welcoming and accommodating...only one thing they should look at...I use a scooter to get around an it was a little bit difficult to get in and out the tiny lift through their kitchen ...but other than that great place

Absolutely fantastic Chinese buffet restaurant. Choice of takeaway style food and more traditional food. The live entertainment was wonderful but at the same time unobtrusive. Not the cheapest buffet in town but by far the best and still great value.

Lunchtime food has gone a bit low quality, the prawn crackers taste of nothing! They have also removed the sesame prawn toast. What happened to the squid dish?
The girl at the checkout is a bit annoying, she takes your card away from you and when she realises she can't man handle a contactless payment on your behalf (over £30) she grunts and gets you to enter your pin.
The rest of the staff were pretty good though.
Gone down hill...no better than the Wolverhampton branch now really.

We went fairly early around 12.30 and it was already becoming very busy. Staff are OK but the buffet was very good. Desert selection was a little disappointing though
S. S.
Good food and drink, extremely good value for money. Nice setting for an all you can eat buffet. Would definitely recommend a visit, but be prepared to wait during the busier times.

What an amazing choice of food. Best Chinese i've had all year! Lots of tables and pretty good service. Ming is merciless on the stomach as you just want more!
P. B.
Went for a meal after a matinee when mist places in city centre were heaving due to German market. All u can eat buffet style, great for big appetites and the variety of foods was amazing.
Starters Mains and Deserts. Fill your boots!

Has to be the best quality food I have ever seen at an all you can eat. Buffet upstairs regular restaurant downstairs. Look to book as it's so busy at peak times
R. M.
Great place to take kids, there is plenty of choice on offer & the food is fresh & hot. There is more traditional Chinese food at the back which is excellent, can get busy at times as it is very popular but if your after a buffet this is the one do not even bother with Big Wok you'll be disappointed severely. All in all worth visiting.
M. C.
Great variety of mains...and tasted delissshhhh.
Poor deserts...sponge pudding...no custard ??
Choc fountain...no strawberries/banana or anything to dip 🤨
Pancakes were like rubber...and the lady making them had no customer service skills what so ever!!!!
A. E.
Busy for boxing day but food was always topped up which is what you want at a all you can eat and is a good standard for the price, should have ate as much tho
B. M.
My wife and I fancied a Chinese. We are not from Brum so didn't know where to start.. So happy we found this place.. 9.99 all you can eat buffet.. So much choice and tasty food. Definitely will visit again in the future.

Highly recommend this restaurant, the staff are most helpful, and the food is cooked to perfection, one of the best Chinese restaurants we've ever been, we had several dishes, very favourite was noodle, with chicken spring onion, asparagus, celery,, and broccoli tops, with fried egg, which we ordered as a special and they were only too happy to serve.
G. W.
Large selection of Chinese food, majority of it being very nice, some was too greasy, and the puddings were just ok, as it's 'All you can eat', you get to choose the things you do and don't like. Staff are polite although not all are good at speaking English, over all, it's a good place to eat, and people watch.👍😁
P. P.
Their food was good quality and they had a large range of them from Western European food too Asian such as curry or dumplings. They had an ice cream machine and they made crepes.
J. S.
A really good place to go for a buffet lunch time meal. A wide choice of dishes and really good value for money. They even do soecial offers if you go regularly
K. B.
I have been for the kareoke downstairs plus meal, and another time for just the buffet meal.
Negatives - hard to search for songs as it seemed to be a lookup system for just the artists, and was missing what I would consider a lot of classics /popular choices. Also was not ideal carrying the food back down the steep, narrow staircase to the basement where our kareoke room is. No phone signal.
Positives- some of my groups were very badly behaved (read drunk) and the staff were not flustered at all. Let us get on with it and were not phased by our hijinks. Kareoke system sounded good. Good range of food form East Asian countries.

The floor was sticky at the time we visited - probably something was spilt and wasn't cleaned properly. The music was on for like 20sec. With volume down, then no music at all for few minutes and repeated. Why play music at all then? On the other hand, everything else was what expected!
