I hired the Den for my birthday and everything was amazing! Mark was so helpful and replied quickly to my questions. The staff on the night were really helpful and friendly, we had our own bartender and the bar in the Den was really well stocked. Sound system was excellent as always and everyone had a wicked time. Really reasonable as well, I'll be hiring the Den again for future parties I'm sure! Thank you Mark and everyone else at Basement 45

I have run two events now at Basement 45. Each time I have been incredibly happy. The club owner is very professional. All the team at Basement 45 are friendly and create a safe atmosphere. Any issues or concerns I have had while running a night at Basement 45 the staff have been so fast to help. As a female promoter I want everyone to feel safe when attending my event but I especially want females to feel safe. Basement 45 staff are quick to remove anyone like this. They also are good at spotting things before it becomes a problem. Basement 45 is the most safe I have felt in any club.

30th Birthday Party @ The Den Held my birthday party here with a friend. From the start Mark was super organised and communicative. The whole process was easy, laid back and efficient. The Den itself is a great space, perfect for groups of 40-60. I was skeptical about the sound but it was actually very decent. Great to have a fully stocked bar and seating area in there too. All in all an awesome place to celebrate and will be back for sure! Cheers B45.

My friends booked a hen party for me which included activities. One being here at basement 45 for a life drawing session We have never laughed so much in our lives. The host was ruby and I believe our model was dez. They were incredible and ruby was so approachable and welcoming and dez was also amazing too! Both made the activity interactive and fun. Got all the guests involved and I would 100% recommend to anyone who’s planning on having their hen in Bristol! Thank you so much for making my hen so fun and amazing! One way to send me out with a bang 😍😍😍

My friend and I rented out Basement 45 for our birthday and I would highly recommend it. Mark and the rest of the staff are super friendly and organised. The security were also friendly and effective at stopping people crashing the party and everyone made sure the night was fun and problem free. Sound system and decks are good quality and I have nothing bad to say. A really good venue!

Recently hosted a charity fundraiser and the hospitality was wonderful. All the staff are hard working and approachable. Would highly recommend as one of the best venues in Bristol. Great prices as well!

I've organised several events with these guys and I have to say it is always a pleasure. Mark and the team are by far my favourite venue owners/managers to work with; very friendly, helpful and organised. The venue itself I would say is one of the best value for money venues in Bristol. They've got a Funktion One soundsystem in the main room which means you don't have to worry about hiring a rig. I also really like that there is plenty of seating between the two rooms which is great because the seating area is quiet enough that you can hear eachother speak, but you can still hear the music from the second room in the background.

Dealing with Mark to host my 21st Birthday was so easy. He was super helpful, very accommodating and was very kind. I did the party at the den and highly recommend the space for a smaller gathering. We controlled our own music which was great and had our own bar and decorations. Highly recommend the den:))) Only thing I would say is be prepared to tell people who randomly walk in that it’s a private party😂

I rented The Den for my 21st birthday and it’s a great venue in terms of location and space and good value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful especially with music set up. Only thing to bear in mind is the drinks are quite expensive!

A venue hosting many underground nights organising by up and coming local DJs and labels, Basement 45 is a great venue for a night out to support local talent in Bristol's thriving underground dance music scene (particularly for fans of bass music). Both of the two relatively small rooms are usually open which provides nice variety in a venue that feels cosy and vibey (it seems people definitely love the more intimate smaller room - as everyone usually flocks there!). Drinks are not hugely extortionate and staff are friendly. The close proximity to the city centre and array of takeaways to satiate the drunk munchies asap after closing time is a given bonus...

Hired out B45 for a birthday event, Mark and his team were fantastic on the night and also helped me with the organisation leading up to the event. Will definitely be using this club again, highly recommend.

I organised an event with Mark to celebrate the end of Sixth form with my school friends. Mark was very helpful and accomating and we managed to sort a date and time for the party very quickly. All the staff were very helpful on the night and security helped make sure everything run smoothly. I would highly recommend this place for anyone looking to hire :)

I celebrated my Leap Year birthday at this venue. Dealt with the owner Mark in the run-up and he couldn't have been more helpful. I hired The Den and sourced my own DJs, the space worked perfectly for what we wanted and everyone had a great time. It was priced extremely reasonably and was completely hassle free. I would recommend without hesitation and will definitely be using again.

Hired the venue for a surprise 21st party for my son. All the staff were very accommodating and helpful from the booking to the end of the event. Space in venue was perfect location really good and close to public transport routes and large car park. Having promoted events at several venues across the UK over the past 15 years, it has to be said this is by far the most professional club we have ever had the experience of working with. The management team are just superb, and went out of their way to help make everything run as smoothly as possible for us, both leading up to the event and on the night itself. We cannot praise every single member of staff who worked on the night enough, for their friendly and welcoming attitudes, which were noticed not only by our production team, but also by many the ravers who attend our events. Wicked Bristol venue. I hired it out for an album launch party recently and it was perfect. Always enjoy other nights I attend there as well, definitely good for a drum&bass rave! Very friendly staff and reasonable bar rates too. Bristol could use more venues like it. Hugh.

Great club, underground venue that doesn't discriminate. Music was brilliant! Had some local DJ's playing whom I hadn't heard of but they blew the roof off. Staff were both friendly and professional. Door staff were there but not intrusive. Toilets clean and well stocked, no annoying man wanting a pound for soap and tissues either. I'd give a safe 9/10

Came all the way from London with a couple of mates to check out the nightlife of the Bristol scene. We arrived at half10, plenty of time to get in. Security were friendly and polite. Check in lady had a little attitude but whatever. My reason for reviewing was the fact the club decided to shut off the event 2 HOURS earlier than stated..... completely ruined our night.

We hired the den at basement 45 for a 30th birthday party and had an amazing night! The price was very competitive, Mark was so helpful, answering any questions we had and going out of his way to make sure everything was the way we wanted it ready for the night. The Birthday girl had such a good night, thank you!

I really wanted to like it here but absolutely everyone just clung to the inner perimeter of the room sipping their drink not dancing. It was a rather stale environment. Perhaps I'll go back and give it another shot at some point. Staff were cool and drinks weren't noticeably expensive. Music wasn't bad either just a complete lack of energy for a club.

Basement 45 is a must - the staff are so friendly, the layout of the club is great and the nights there will never fail to impress. It might be small but size does not equal greatness in this case, the two dance floors are more than enough! If you're with a couple of mates and looking for a less heavy version of Motion/Lakota then Basement 45 will fulfil all your needs. Drinks are very cheap - £3 a beer, and the DJs playing are consistently good. I'm a student at Bristol so have been to many a night at Basement 45 and it has never ever been a mistake!

The multi-room cave like landscape of the club perfectly suits the sensibilities of a raving connoisseur and provides a traditional habitat for those dismayed with the soullessness of an increasing number of Bristol Venues.
