A. P.Great intimate venue to see bands right in the middle of Cardiff. With the right act and a good crowd and there's nowhere quite like it. It feels like I imagined the 100 club or the Marquee club back in the day. Friendly staff and bouncers too. Well worth a visit.

Since reopening after lockdown, the venue has put in a lot of measurements in place to make us feel safe - clear signage, breakdown of rules and one way system as you arrive, hand sanitisers, limited number of people onneach table and staff in ppe. Beer selection is great (and they have loads of non-alcoholic craft beer too).

Located in the centre of Cardiff's music scene, the world famous Womanby Street, a stone's throw from Cardiff Castle. Would advise parking near National Museum of Wales as the NCP carpark in Quay Street is extortionately expensive.

G. K.Really good venue. Sometimes 2 gigs a night. Plenty of space if gig isn't sold out. Good selection of drinks. If you're a band and loading in then you can pull up outside and then go and park. There's a rugby club car park very close. I paid £11. Attendant told me it closed automatically at 10:30pm. But can pull car/can in front of venue again for load out.
Main room was freezing cold, fans and air con pumping out cold air. Yeah gigs get a little hot but I found this to be a bit overkill!

J. B.Okay so first the good. The crowd of people it brings is great. I have never seen a fight break out here. I usually make new friends when I go. Thy have great offers on beer. Especially red stripe. And the bands that play here live are phenomenal.
Although its quite small. It never really seems clean and the outside area where you can go for some fresh air or a smoke is beyond disgusting. The venue itself is very small. But with some good management this place could go from okay to amazing.

c. l.I love Welsh clwb it offers so much music variety and different crowds of people. Old, Middle aged, young. Indie, rock, pop, classics, jazz and dance. There's always gigs and events, mid week and weekends. There's toilets on every floor. Drinks are reasonably priced. It's a good location for bar hopping and it's a great night out. Go and chill out and watch cartoons in the jazz room, have a cheesy pop night on bottom floor or rock out to New or classic indie/rock music on top floor. Clwb is the place to be. The only thing is the stairs from floor to floor. They can be a killer when you're drunk! Smoking area is spacious and there's even a photo booth.
W. K.Nice enough venue. Good choice of drinks normal prices. After gig bar closed it was around 10.00pm. End of sports. Not many seats and when you sit you can see the stage. Sat on back of the Sears to see. Good gig. Seen Ben Ottwell from Gomez. He can play guitar and what a voice. Clean toilets.

K. M. (. R. W. B.I've been going to Clwb Ifor Bach (or 'Welsh Club, as it's known locally) for over ten years and the place never seems to change. On the weekends, they have a different genre of music on each of the three floors - retro indie rock on the third floor, and if I remember rightly, old pop classics on the first floor... can't quite remember what's on the second floor!
It's only £5 to get in now, but it used to cost a tenner, and the drinks are fairly reasonably priced. It does get very hot in here as the air conditioning isn't great.
J. H.A unique club to Wales that often shows local bands and djs. Three floors of different dance floors, including bars with a brilliant atmosphere. If you're into alternative and indie music this is the place for you, with songs such as Panic at the Disco and Tame impala guaranteed to be played.
Drinks are more on the higher end of the cost, but you're given student discount for access into the club.

S.I've been going to Clwb for as long as I can remember going out in the city, it's the reason why I first ever went to Womanby Street and the reason why I returned in later years, only to discover other great bars which have since established. So many different bands have played here, and they've held so many different nights, it's nice to see a venue going strongly over that period of time.

J. T.Clwb Ifor Bach (or “the welsh club” as it’s known by those that struggle with the welsh language) gets very polarising views amongst the student crowd. Though a great place for live music, I’ve more experienced it on its club nights. Admittedly it isn’t the largest of venues (which gives it the intimacy during live gigs) it still has plenty of space. Still, it’s recommended to visit earlier in the academic year (pre October is advised) when the student population has yet to find it.
