Reviews of Go Bananas

Go bananas is huge and has a lot of different areas. The younger child sensory area was a real favorite for my children when they were under four. It really suited their attention spans with so many small areas and different things to do. The video floor especially was good for them as was the mini car area.
They are bigger now and the large area is equally well designed for them. It has a lot of twists and turns, and slides and obstacles, and it really feels to them like they are exploring. Definitely worth a visit. The one down side is just how busy it gets, but if you pick your time it's fine. The food is fine and the staff are experienced and friendly.

Brilliant birthday party - from the moment we arrived we were well looked after. Leah was ready by the door to greet the birthday boy by name, and she did a great job of encouraging and serving the children. She even cut up the cake for us.
Compared to a birthday party hosted by another Colchester soft play (that shall remain nameless, but may have something to do with an adventure in a jungle!) a few years ago this was a very refreshing experience.
Add to this that Go Bananas staff were very helpful when we had to postpone the party at short notice due to having covid and I really can't recommend them enough.

I have to say this is the best soft play in Colchester and this side of Essex. (I have been to a few!)
The place is so clean. The staff on the floor are always on it, always cleaning the tables, the floor and keeping it in tip top condition. I never have grubby socks when we leave.
The staff on the front desk are always so polite, so helpful and friendly. I love how they tannoy call when a child is lost from their adult. They have so much care and compassion.
The food is good. Sometimes can take a little while to come out, other times, so quick.
They constantly announce over the tannoy about children being too old for tiny town, which essentially isn't their responsibility, it should be the parents of the children.
The only teeny complaint I would have is how long it takes to order food/drink. The people who work behind the counter just seem to be really slow. When you are trying to que with children, or watch them in the play area, they could just do with speeding up.
Over all though, it's such a great place, my favourite soft play. Even when it's super busy in half term, they do great! Thank you go banannas 😊

Had an exclusive hire party here on Friday night, staff were fantastic, went above and beyond, nothing was too much trouble and so well organised! Thank you for making our party so stress free and enjoyable!

Was at Go Bananas on the 30th November to celebrate my daughters birthday with some family friends. The kid's really enjoyed it and can't wait to visit again. It was very busy with a bit of a wait to be served but that was expected and I struggle to understand while some people makes a great deal of that. Staff's were very friendly and attentive, especially Margaret who went above and beyond to enhance my daughters birthday cake cutting protocols. Thank you so much.

My daughter had her 8th birthday here and it was brilliant, well organised & staff were friendly, I recommend the glow disco as kids having been raving about it all weekend

Visited here on 19th Jan 2022. Was my first time here with a nearly 16 month old. It was a visit between 10 30 and 11 30am so presumably quiet but probably slightly busier than I had expected.
3 stars because although they have rules listed on their website and a number of posters - you walk in wearing a mask and once you go through the gate not a single person was wearing one. Literally not a single person expect for the poor staff. So that was disappointing and as I only discovered this after we paid 8 pounds entry I felt like I just had to deal with it.
- Secondly I was told to sign in upon entry, that's perfectly fine but when I left there was nothing to sign out fron, I asked if I needed to sign out and the lady at the desk said no so I don't see the purpose of that.
- Couldn't see any lockers although they are listed as having them online - however I did not ask where these were as I had a fidgeting child with me.
In short I'm not entirely sure we will go back for a good while. I also found that having the Tiny Town age range 0-5 was a bit much. I had to remove my son from a potential hazard as 3 older kids started jumping around / swinging around him and it really didn't feel safe!
