J. K. K.Fun place. Most staffs are nice and I feel safety in here. I always like many flavors of VK.
However, just one thing, tequila without salt and lime was bad moment.

G.really good vibes and amazing staff but the bouncers make a big deal out of nothing and are rude to customers. telling us off for something we didn’t do and being nasty about it when they could just ask us. didn’t explain the new rules to us just had an attitude from the start. lovely drinks tho and a great atmosphere. everyone else lovely, bouncers just trying to be big men about nothing
S. B.We came here during lockdown. Only outside drinking was allowed with booking of 2 hours max. The servers were excellent however the main reason for the 5 star review was the bouncers. The door staff were seen periodically moving people along when their booking was up. And they did this not only professionally but kindly and politely. This cannot have been an easy task and it was a delight to see somewhere so well run during such challenging times.
J. M.Started here as part of a pub crawl. This was the first place and usually opens up for the pub crawl for the first hour after which we head out. It's an ok place - nothing crazy or exciting. Seemed awfully quiet (may be because we were there from 8 to 9)

M. Y.100% recommend for a drink and a dance, bar staff friendly and fun and even the security have a laugh with you, that makes it all better as everyone is just there to have a good time and a drink...apart from staff they are just there for a good time ha 100% go back!

J. R.Base is a fantastic venue in central Edinburgh. It has a capacity of around 400 in one main room. Its predominantly a DJ venue though occasionally hosts live bands. Drinks are priced below average, there is a nominal door fee and the music is mainstream chart.
Situated on the Cowgate base is in Edinburghs historic old town and close to tourist areas such as the Grassmarket. The venue is situated under one of the huge archways of George IV Bridge. The stone roof and height of the bridge is hidden behind a false roof (needed to stop water from dripping into the venue).
Base opened in September 2007 after a change of ownership and complete refurbishment of the Subway Cowgate. Its presently operated by Attraction Inns.
A. B.This was a very OK place. The alcohol was cheap but apart from that there was nothing. Probably because there was no gig when I visited. So check if there is an event happening herr.
