Reviews of The 13th Note
B. E.
Top ten meal I’ve ever eaten. Their Gyros is amazing. I visit here every time I’m in Glasgow. It’s a Vegan place but don’t be put off if your not. I’m a meat eater but still love it here. And if you are vegan I can’t recommend it enough.
Accessibility is great too. Ramp to get in, super wide isles for wheelchairs etc. Staff are awesome too. So worth a visit.
A. W.
Top class veggie / vegan place to go for dinner parties. Accommodated my mums 70th birthday with 14 guests. Food had to be pre ordered, but all came out smoothly and no issues whatsoever. Staff were ever so polite and helpful! Dog friendly too. Thanks again!
D. M.
Top quality vegan bar food with a good selection of beers. Everything was super tasty, and the server was so friendly and happy to help. We sat outside and although not the most picturesque of streets it was quiet for traffic which made it really enjoyable to watch the world go by. Not the cheapest of places but well worth it all things considered. Will be back!
Y. K.
Me and my friend had a Korean Burger and Spicy Bean Burger. They had a nice home-made taste to them. Nice chips too - could've had a few more of them instead of the salad though! :P Had some chocolate+cherry tart for dessert with some chai tea which were both yummy too! :)
K. R.
First place I've ever ordered vegan food at (I know its a vegan pub so I had no choice), but I couldn't believe how delicious the good was. It was so good! I highly recommend this place. Good prices and friendly staff too!
V. G.
Terrific menu, lovely to see great vegan options, range of drinks terrific too.. only couple of negative points.. firstly the seitan I had was well overcooked, it was burnt, in hindsight I should have taken it back but I'm not great with any sort of confrontation, I ate it but didn't enjoy it. The rosemary chips also didn't seem to taste of any rosemary. Finally, the staff didn't seem particularly engaging.. I guess we didn't catch them at their best on our visit.. However in saying this I still believe anywhere provided vegan choices needs to be supported, so hopefully next time will be better..
S. A.
The gyros was absolutely delicious. The home made seitan was phenomenal. We'll be back to try everything else on the menu. Highly recommend!
H. K.
Great spot in Glasgow, very yummy vegan food and I love that is dog friendly, will be definitely back with my fluffy doggy 🐶😊 …
G.
Great vegetarian cafe upstairs and cracking small venue downstairs .... Good for small gigs as its "intimate" feel makes it a personal experience with acts playing
M.
Best vegan/vegetarian restaurant I've ever came across. Food was tasty, staff super friendly and the environment was super cozy! Loved it, made the entire trip to Glasgow worth it.
S. N.
Great basement gig spot, little dingy downstairs but in a good way, nice staff, cheap and tasty drinks. 4 stars because sound was iffy. Would come back 👍 …
M. M.
Haven't been for a long time but was so glad to be back. Staff are really helpful and friendly. Food is amazing and really enjoyed my lunch. Bonus that dogs are allowed in.
P. O.
A pub with a decent selection of craft beers and other drinks. Decor is pretty tatty inside and it was cold when we visited. Prices are a bit steep for the setting and staff weren't the friendliest, this member was more interested in her phone than customers. I understand this place gets a reputation for good live music and this may be the case but to me it just seemed tired and run down
S. m.
Good selection of beers. Vegetarian menu, did not try the food. Toilets are downstairs. Live venue also downstairs
R. B.
A very nice venue which hosts local artists and their works on a rotational basis. Their alcohol free beer selection was not very big, which was a bit disappointing but I imagine it's not highly requested, still only thing that prevents it from achieving the 5 stars is this. Otherwise a good chill venue with a nice selection of drinks.
M. B.
Cute place just at the edge of Glasgow city centre. Spacious, modern design with a comfortable cafe and food area. Food is great for vegans and vegetarians. Great selection of drinks. Staff are friendly, but seem to struggle with small groups a bit. Would allow a bit of time for food if ordering as a group.
K. A.
Was looking for a vegetarian restaurant for a friend visiting Glasgow for the first time.
Glad we went here. Authentic Glasgow feel with good food. Not pretentious like some of the vegetarian places we went to.
Good service, Fair prices and specials keep things interesting.
A. D.
Dog friendly vegetarian/vegan pub. All beers are clearly labelled either vegan or not. All menu is vegetarian with many quality vegan options.
The pasta with seitan was great and the vegan haggis, neeps and fatties was delicious.
Gets busy after work on Fridays but found a spot in the restaurant later in the evening easily.
Very dog friendly!
J. P.
Great vegan food, delicious chocolate tart, the whole in a nice ambiance.
C. F.
Nice vegan grub, friendly service. Really love this quirky bar.
D. P.
Absolutely cracking food, wide selection of drinks, super friendly staff, and banging music every other couple nights.
C. D.
Absolutely brilliant vegan food. Taste sensation and more than adequate portion size. Friendly and efficient staff
Great atmosphere, music just loud enough for easy conversation.
J. S.
Delicious food and lovely staff, one of my new favourite places, can't wait to go back soon!
N. G.
Excellent food. The soup was very tasty. The burger was good too. Generous portions.
I. L.
Great atmosphere. Really good selection of food and drinks suitable for vegetarians and vegans.
The staff are really friendly and helpful.
A long time favourite of mine from the 13th note is the vegan cheesecake.
K. M.
Plenty of variety on the menu. Super tasty food and good prices. I had the burrito and my friend the burger. We were both very happy with our choice. Cappucinos were perfect. Sticky toffee pudding between us coz we were both stuffed! Friendly & prompt service.
Only reason I have it marked down a star is that a family with a dog came in and sat at the table next to us. Each to their own, but I don't think it's right bringing pets inside eating establishments in regards to hygiene, allergies or phobias.
D. G.
13th note never disappoints! Excellent food, Excellent service 💗 even my non veggie friends and family love it. Highly recommended …
C. B.
Great place to sit and chill mid afternoon. Didn't eat but the food looked fresh and tasty.
A. M.
Amazing Brilliant fantastic great night at comic stands at 13th note 10 out of 10 actually 100 out of 100 great night and great laughs.
G. B.
Great venue with a stella bunch of staff to make your night, highly rate for a night out or to see a gig 😀 …
S. A.
Great atmosphere, friendly staff and good food/ drinks. Vegan menu is great and portions are good. The only thing is their drinks menu says 100% vegan but then they have cocktails with kahlua and sell tennents. Both not vegan so just be careful and don't get caught out.
K. L.
Great place to go in town if you want to drink and chat
J. M.
We didn't get food, just a couple of drinks on a rainy Saturday afternoon but it was a great experience. Amazing range of cocktails and a chill atmosphere.
J. F.
Great place, great vibes, pretty good vegan fare
F. L.
Very nice food, I like the different options they serve. A friend of mine didn't quite like the kebab, but I love their mac'n'cheese and the fact that they have so many options soy-free! (I am soy intolerant). Nice drinks and amazing cocktails! Really enjoyed the bloody mary :-)
B. P.
Good food cocktails and vibes. Still a great place after all these years. Recommended esp if you like top notch vegan food, but you'll love it whether you're vegan, veggie or whatever else.
C. B.
Yum! I love this place! Went for my first visit a few weeks ago. The sticky toffee pudding was AMAZING. So decadent. You'd have no idea it was vegan. And the ice cream on top had an amazing texture. Will be back!
C. H.
Walked in, walked out.
Had a booking but they didn’t ask anyway, the staff (a young lady) was rude and made us feel really unwelcome. Such a shame as my partner had especially booked this place for me as a treat after reading positive reviews for our first time in Glasgow. Wish I had the same experience as others but felt so uncomfortable by the service we received we decided not to stay. Really disappointed.
l. g.
Staff are great not been in year's good chips aswell
H.
Wasn't sure about this place when I first arrived as it could really benefit from a decorative overhaul, the menu is vegan and has a very good selection of dishes, when the food came out it was large portions and tasted amazing, we really enjoyed our meal here and the man behind the bar was so polite, friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place for a lovely meal but definitely be prepared for a healthy helping on your plate.
r. w.
Great for dogs, super welcome water bowl and snacks.
J. M. R.
Excellent vegetarian and vegan food, drinks and coffee. Relaxed atmosphere. Often music in club downstairs in evening. Has Wifi.
J. L.
It's been awhile since I've been here and it has not changed any over the years, unfortunately it's beginning to look a little worse for wear it is needing some tlc . Still worth a visit if you are in the area.
P. M.
Great first time at 13th note. Had the vegan falafel burger and chips. Will go again
M. G.
Go here if you want an unexpected vegan menu for an intimate brunch/dinner. Unexpected as in, out of the norm, and just say Yes. Whatever they suggest, just say Yes.
The only downside is that it's pretty £££
A. T. G.
Friendly staff and great, tasty vegan/veggie food. Good portions too.
L. F.
This is another great music bar located not too far from the Merchant City. It is now fully fledged vegan and the food is amazing...so tasty. They do a mean spicy bloody Mary too 😋👌 …
T. a. l. i. F.
Bar with one of the best vegetarian menus in the city. Laid back with a performance room downstairs.
D. D.
Delicious and affordable vegan food. Great service and atmosphere
M. H.
Great place for dogs. Warm welcome on arrival Covid Safe with Covid rules being followed. Table service. We had bean burger and chips. Nice burger. Looks very popular. Polite and friendly staff.
S. M.
Notice outside advertising the spiciest bloody Mary's in town. It's not wrong. Got a real kick to it. Really nice
S. W.
Great food and cocktails, pints on the more expensive side.
M. Ż.
Interesting vegan options in menu, good food, nice atmosphere
J. “. U.
One of the Gems of Glasgow and a place to go for a beer and great lunch if you're Vegan / Vegetarian and even more if you're not. To sum it up, great service in a nice friendly chilled atmosphere with fresh cold beer and superb food.
When you go give the Gyros a try. Absolutely dynamite. 👌 …
L.
Love this place. The staff are fantastic and the food amazing. It's vegan but I'm not a vegan and I love it. It's relaxing and dog friendly, so dog or not It's well worth a visit.
J. B.
Stopped in at the 13th note for the first time yesterday.
We tried the tarka dahl plus the lentil and potato burger. The tarka dahl was the star of the show, it was so full of flavour and came with some bread on the side. The burger was a great size plus the chips on the side were just delicious!
Served by the GM, who was really friendly and the place had a good atmosphere. Will return!
M. M.
Amazing grub and staff. Been going there for a million years and it's never let us down. Still my fav place. Thanks guys.
C. M.
Such a great selection of vegan and gluten free options! Even a vegan and gluten free cheesecake! The food tasted great.
M. H.
Very friendly, didnt realise it was Vegan but as it was dog friendly, decided to give it a bash! Food very nice with very generous portions. Attentive service, still with 50% off food. My only criticism would be the toilets, clean but in need of some love and attention!
I. A. N.
Worn, relaxed haunt. Friendly staff and patrons, and dogs welcome. Decent beer on tap, and cocktails and hot drinks also on offer. Delicious vegetarian and vegan food, albeit with only a small set of menu offerings. They have a venue downstairs accommodating up to 100 people, where live bands perform many evenings during each month (and which is bookable for gigs and other events).
E. I.
Excellent vegan and vegetarian fare - the chips actually were as good as reputed! - definitely worth the visit. It is dog friendly (which is adorable) but sadly made one of our party sneeze, so a better notice about this aspect of the restaurant would be appreciated.
G. T.
Great bar / restaurant if you fancy a meat free day, are vegetarian or vegan. Their veggie burgers are brilliant, highly recommend trying one. There's a great range of drinks, including a range of locally brewed beers.
M.
The staff was super friendly and really offered a great service.
The food was delicious and the prices are very fair! Definitly will visit again.
D. R.
Great pub, just wish there was better table/seating arrangements as it's often difficult to get a table. Those big booths just seem like a waste of space.
S. H.
Super nice location for food. Also has great music. They are 100% vegan. Super kind service.
A. D.
Great vegetarian/vegan place to take friends to! The bar area is also very nice. Food is good. Drinks are good as well. Only problem I had was my absolute hatred for coriander and the fact that it was in almost everything. But they are happy to assist you and will make sure you find something to eat and will try to leave out ingredients if possible! Overall very nice :)
E. C.
Amazing veggie and vegan food. Had the best loaded vegan fries ever.
G. N.
I visited this bar with a friend for some food and drinks on a Saturday afternoon. We had a fantastic time, varied selection of food and drink, lovely atmosphere and the coconut chilli burrito was amazing. Will definitely be back
V. M.
Went 4 times within three weeks, amazing food and service!!
D. M.
This bar diner ticks all of the boxes. Outside-the-box decor, comfortable seating, excellent friendly staff, interesting views of Merchant City Glasgow. There's always good music playing and the selection of drinks is large and reasonably priced. The food is all veggie, therefore I can't personally comment but I know from friends that it's of superb quality. Major acts appear here in the evenings. WELL worth a visit - 10 out of 10!
n. k.
A Glasgow institution - never changes, proper alternative bar. Great vegan food, bands downstairs.
R. C.
I have a soft spot for this place as it is the first vegan cafe/bar I went to in Glasgow many years ago. Had a bacon wrap which I really enjoyed. Nice easy going vibe with good choice of beers.
C. N.
Really good bar in the trongate area of Glasgow. I love coming in here on a Sunday for a bloody Mary and a few beers. The tunes are usually good depending what you're in to and the staff are bang on. I haven't tried much of the food but the chips and curry sauce are amazing and are a perfect wee bite to enjoy with your pint.
M. S. M.
We arrived without expectation, saw the menu and fell in love. The music is good, it's pet friendly with complementary ear scratches for the pooches.
Very friendly and accommodating staff (we changed our order twice, couldn't decide what to get!)
This place gives you a glimpse that it is possible to live a healthy, nutritiously rich life without inviting death to the dining table.
Great place to start a conversation about today's state of the food industry and how you can make better choices for your self and those are around you.
Hearty dishes, fantastic flavors.
Equally important, the cocktails are stiff and the beer selection is vast.
Come, eat, be merry.
E. G.
Full disclosure - not a vegetarian so I can't compare it to other vegetarian/vegan places, but the food was delicious. 3 meat eaters and one vegan dined, and the vegan diner commented that the food was good also. Two of us split a veggie mac & cheese and lasagna, and they were both good. I liked the lasagna better - great flavor and filling dish, companion liked the mac & cheese better, but we both liked both meals. Would definitely go back again if in the area.
S. D.
Amazing vegan food, very dog friendly and friendly staff. There is always a nice atmosphere
G. B.
Love everything about this place! Love the music, love the atmosphere, and love the food. For me it's a must when visiting Glasgow 💚 …
L. M.
Love it. Been a few times on different trips to Glaagow. Good vegetarian food, mainly vegan. Nice mixture of bar/venue/restaurant. The restaurant area is partitioned away from the bar which is good as the bar area can get loud and busy. Great place.
L. B.
Had an absolutely stunning burger here, spot-on vegetarian food, great flavours and really friendly staff. Also really really good with dogs, take yours there and it will get treated like a king or queen. Lovely.
S. B.
The food in the 13th note is excellent. Its quite a dark laid back place. Nae need to get dressed up here! Staff are always very chilled out and friendly. One thing to look out for is if you're vegan like me, the place is actually vegetarian but majority of menu is vegan, so just in case you assume all is vegan. They're very clear about what contains dairy, and they prep separately. I recommend the veggie burger, they've changed them as could be a bit dry previously, but now they are really juicy and bursting with savoury flavour. 👌
D. N.
We popped into The 13th Note for lunch last Saturday when in Glasgow. We immediately felt at home as it is very "down to earth". Not a huge selection on the menu, but enough to satisfy me as a vegan, and enough for me to definitely want to go back. I had the vegan BLT wrap and it was delicious. Staff helpful and friendly. Good and satisfying experience.
J. M.
Great food (the gyros is amazing) and lovely friendly staff. I've had a million good times in the downstairs gig venue, can't wait until it opens again in the future!
E. D.
Great selection of beers on tap and in bottles. Lovely atmosphere, comfortable surroundings. One complaint we have is that we ordered a Brockmans Gin and tonic and it was served the correct way (by the manager I think) but the next few orders of Brockmans weren't great - served in a small tumbler with no garnish.
R. J.
My husband and I try to go to the 13th Note whenever we get to come to Glasgow because the food is always fantastic and the staff are so friendly. The bar area is dog friendly too!
K. J.
Great friendly staff. Can take the doggy. Much improved menu as well. The plant shwarma wrap thing was awesome
S. T.
Shabby chic venue which is host to a wide variety of live music in its basement and offers vegetarian / vegan food as well as drinks in its ground level bar. Food is very nice even for non vegetarians, as the menu has a lot of options you won't necessarily see elsewhere. Katsu curry and noodle dishes for example. This means some of the food can be spicy with Asian influences. Drink choices are varied whether you are a spirit or a pint drinker. The tap choices change from time to time and again offer a number of choices you don't often see offered together. Worth a visit.
M. H. (.
I truly love this bar. From the manager to the bar staff, everyone is a gem. The food is excellent and the cocktails rock. Two thumbs up.
K. R.
The best vegan cheesecake I have ever had in my life, their food and drinks never fail to impress!
A. A.
Nice, intimate, sweaty venue down stairs. Great vegan food and drink upstairs.
H. F.
Love coming here for the amazing White Russians! The food is great! Even though you're not a vegan/vegetarian you can still enjoy a good meal here.
The only bad things I say about here is the scary mannequin and the food does take a while to arrive.
A. R.
Really good vegan food and drinks selection, nice relaxed atmosphere. Really want to come back in our next visit to Glasgow to check out a live gig.
N. F.
My favourite venue for gigs in Glasgow, the bar upstairs has a great selection, staff are always pleasant, the menu is great too for vegetarian and vegan food.
The bar downstairs isn't as good as upstairs but still much better than a lot of gig venues, the atmosphere in the venue is always intense which is the main selling point for me.
S. C.
Nice range of veggie/vegan food on offer. Staff were friendly.
Thought we'd try it out as it claims to have the best chips in Glasgow but the ones I had could only be described as limp.
J. M.
First time here. Actually went to see a gig. Didn't realise it was a resturaunt. Dogs allowed too. Didn't get a chance to try the food as it was late at night but a great place. Music with live bands downstairs. I am not a vegetarian but my son is vegan so would definitely try the food. I am a dog lover and it was good to see dogs getting in to a resturaunt as it is difficult to take a dog with you on a day out.
K. W.
Food was great, fresh, different and delicious. Even though I am not vegan I would seek out this food. Rosemary fries 👌 …
A. S.
Great food and great staff. Really worth a visit for the vegan food.
b.
Great wee vegan bar, dog friendly and the best espresso martinis around.
D. C.
Most underrated live music venue in Glasgow
6. 6.
Great service, what a lovely sweet barista I had yesterday! And perfect little space for working alone. However I remembered a greater selection of vegan food from years ago. Whilst still a lot available I would've wished for more (particularly desserts :p)
m. b.
Best bar in Glasgow. Fantastic service and superb atmosphere!
L. G.
Great music
Not much crowd on saturday evening
Live band downstairs. Careful for mobility impaired.
Amazing cocktails
W. S.
A well known pub with a good selection of beers and lively chat. Music is kept down to a sensible level early on - don't know what the volume is like after 10pm. You can catch some up and coming bands in the basement.
M. B.
Excellent service, very good food, moderate price, very nice atmosphere, reservation recommended, restaurant and bar area
K.
Popular vegetarian bar/restaurant.Good range of craft beers and bar meals/snacks close enough to normal for omnivores. Nice relaxed decor with bench type seating. Music more metal than ambient. Mixef age group. Also dog friendly. Separate area for meals. Staff very pleasant and helpful. Free wifi. Toilets downstairs.
C. H.
One of the best Vegan/Veggie restaurants in town. Been going here on and off for 20 years. Great staff who love and welcome dogs as much as the customers. Gigs amd lots of posters of them also draw me to this place. Try it!
G. T.
Excellent food with a laid back atmosphere. If you've ever wondered about trying veggie or vegan food, but been scared of going in to a vegan restaurant (some can be a bit daunting) give 13th note a try. Staff are all friendly, will help you choose if you're unsure, and are in no way condescending.
I've eaten in 13th note for over 20 years, I'm not veggie or vegan, but I do love the food. I've never had anything disappointing, and I've found new bands to listen to as well.
Can't fault the place really!
H.
Great veggie/vegan pub. Amazing food, delicious burgers and great beers too. Service can sometimes be slow but the food makes up for it. Dog friendly with music venue in the basement
D. C.
Very cool vegan place! Supports live music!
P. P.
Amazing vegan food. They follow all the Covid 19 government guidelines. You get your temp taken ,hand sanitiser provided as well and you go through one door and exit through another. If you go to the yoilet and you follow the arrows they take you to the exit where you can reenter and go back to your table.
N. B.
Great Birthday meal out. Roomy booth, plenty of choice on the menu and a nice relaxed atmosphere. Will be back.
M. L.
Place is cool, service is friendly. Burgers are very good, however I wouldn't recommend the Haggis, neeps and tatties or the tablet. Stick to bar-style food and you'll enjoy it!
K. T.
The 13th Note and Stereo constantly compete for the title of best veggie/vegan bars in Glasgow. Great menu, great specials and awesome chips. Friendly service and wide selection of alcohol. Dog and child friendly as well.
c. n.
A real bar - restaurant with a soul. I recommend for drinks (their cocktails are fab!), for a coffee date or nice vegan dinner. A truly dog friendly spot 🐶 …
M. C.
Came here on a whim when I was in the area for lunch, I was unaware it was a veggie/vegan place however I'm open to try different foods, the food was pretty good as far as vegan and veggie food goes, I had the falafel burger and it was very filling. The problem I found was that the waitress that took our order did not have a notepad so was taking our order from memory. The waitress had to confirm with us 3 times after the order was taken and then the order was still mixed up. One thing I always find when at a restaurant is never trust waiter/waitress who doesn't have a notepad.
O. C.
We came in search of the famous Bloody Mary, and stayed for the amazing Bloody Mary. Also, wide variety of vegetarian and vegan options!
B. D. L.
Just popped in for a drink - classy af, good range of options. Would love to go back!
B. C.
Was only in for drinks, so can't comment on food, staff all friendly, toilets could do with a refresh.
W.
Great place to go with a dog. Nice veg food and usually relaxed atmosphere. Staff friendly. Gets busy on weekend nights and bar food availability ends in the evening and, while the cafe section still serves food, that area is not open to dogs. If you are dogless, you'll be fine.
K. T.
The food was incredible (got the mac n cheese and the soup) and they had a great selection of beverages. The atmosphere was great. I love places that encourage dogs to hang out
M. D.
Great food, great atmosphere, very friendly and attentive staff and extremely dog friendly
a. m.
First time in this pub after all the years loved it great music and a fantastic atmosphere will definitely be back 😁 …
G. G.
Vegan friendly bar/diner situated near the Saltmarket area of Merchant City.
I don't think it's had a lick of paint since it took over from Cafe Ventura many years ago, so don't expect it to be all fancy interiors as that's not what they're about.
Staff are friendly and quick to serve even when it gets busy and although I've not tried the food, it's supposed to be excellent.
It's well worth a visit if you are in the area!
B. M.
I love this bar! A warm and welcoming atmosphere and place to shelter from the norm. Hats off to the red haired barmaid who was full of the banter. I've been a Few times and the staff are class. Also dog friendly ✌️👌👌😊 …
S.
I know someone who works here, so went in for a quick drink unfortunately it was not her day to work there. Not busy but a wait for 2 drinks. Wine glass was dirty. While sitting noticed that the place is very run down, needs new seats and repainted. I realise that the look is supposed to be shabby chic but definitely needs work. Burst banquet seats need recovered. Toilets downstairs and lighting needs improved, not adequate on the curve. Toilets have no Windows so why use a dark paint to make it darker (ladies anyway)?
B. S.
A laid back pub with a university type clientele. You can actually enjoy a pint and a chat without deafening music background. Food is good but note that it is not served after 7pm
S. A.
How were these rated best chips in Glasgow? Not only were they undercooked but the "rosemary" flavor on the rosemary chips was non-existent. Also the sausage roll wasn't a sausage roll, it was sausages on a bun...not the sausage wrapped in pastry dough that is a sausage roll. The atmosphere was cool but food was kinda meh.
M. L.
Excellent vegan food. I especially enjoyed the neeps and tatties. But all food was really fine. Great spicy bloody Maries as well. Good place to work during the day.
S.
I love this pub. The atmosphere is very laid back and they have some cracking beers on tap. The food is pretty good too. One of my favourite places in Glasgow.
S. M.
A great variety of veggie and vegan meals. Nice and quiet at Sunday lunch and a bit busier at other times. The downstairs venue hosts lots of good new bands.
J. B. A.
The food is class A! Some restaurants I go to have boring and unappealing vegetarian options... I say this as a meat eater, you do NOT miss meat options at 13th Note. Their menu is so flavourful and colourful with spicy notes (see what I did there). I have now had the falafel burger twice. I'm middle eastern, so my standards for falafel are real game changers for places in my head. If I get a dry, crumbly falafel I'm not pleased. 13th note have the perfect combination of crisp outer shell and a creamy herb infused center. Served with their understandably award-winning hand cut chips and some salad on the side, this meal is a deal sealer! Perfect with a pint or a cola, just sit back, enjoy.
The ambiance of the place is so great that although you see different people with different styles in there, you feel at ease and comfortable with the level of respectfully quiet conversations and good music.
Oh, they're dog friendly too! Most people don't really think much into that, but for a dog owner, you've made their day! Few places can cause such a big impact in my mind, making 13th Note, possibly the best restaurant in Glasgow.
D. S.
Great pub and eaterie, all food vegetarian and vegan friendly,so are the drinks.
Dogs are welcome, they even do doggy birthday celebration parties.
At night the downstairs is a music venue.
A. C.
Pop in now and then for some great food.
Very nice and chilled out place. Great menu. I have never been disappointed. Think I'll go in this weekend!
P. P.
Nice food, big enough portions. I had a falafel burger which was nice and very filling but extras like garlic mayo and coleslaw should come as standard on request but not for a £1 each. I got mushroom hashbrown and bacon which was all extra. Rosemary chips with chips are awesome,. My girlfriend wanted haggis neeps and tatties which was impossible to order with no neeps so she went for sweet potato fritters which where good.
k. k.
Amazing vegan food, lovely cocktails and amazing staff. Couldn't have been happier with the overall experience! Would highly recommend the vegan haggis.
E. W.
The food was fabulous and the service was great. There are many options to suit most diets. It is divided into two sections, so you can enjoy a more formal dinner in the back or a more casual experience towards the front.
S. P.
Nice place to meet up with friends, and surprisingly you lose track of time and three hours have gone by and you've supped, ate and drank.
Had a lovely bo-ho feel about the place and good selection of beers.
Nice... go visit.
L. G.
One of the best bars in Glasgow for Humans or their Dogs.
Amazing Vegan/Vegetarian food and I say that as a meat eater.
Great staff and also a pretty good music venue.
C. A.
One of my favourite relaxed places to bring my laptop and my dog. They only serve vegetarian/vegan dishes, so bear that in mind if you want a nice, juicy Angus burger.
O. I.
Covid time visit from an old regular.
Menu is great, possibly improved but as great as always was back when I were a lad. Chips, coffee, juice and a chat with friends.
Always great.
M. C.
Great vegetarian food.
C. S. (.
The 13th note is a true gem in the vegetarian/vegan world of glasgow. Any dog lover, food lover, or dog lover needs to visit this beautiful and well represented venue.
The staff are some of the most lovely and approachable in the city.
A. H.
My Indonesian dish was really fresh, tasty and filling. Good to be back at the 13th Note for the first time in a while.
S. M.
Live music here in the room downstairs, is always a great time. It's small so you're practically on the stage, which you'll love. The booze is not cheap, but there's a great choice.
M. L.
Excellent food that will please both vegans and omnivores. Exceptional service and good value for money.
Also dog friendly, and very close to Argyle Street train station.
J. Q.
A nice pub friendly and great if you have your dog with you can't say about the food as I haven't tried it yet.
They also have a small venue downstairs for various sets for up and coming bands etc
L. I.
Gone downhill since my last visit. We visited on a Friday afternoon, chips were hard in the middle, food was lukewarm and flavourless. Thoroughly disappointed. Hope this was just a one off as have really enjoyed coming here in the past.
J. M. (.
A great pub, with excellent, vegan menu. The downstairs music venue is shabby, but it's a Glasgow institution, and always worth checking out, for excellent live music, every day of the week.
C. R.
Brilliant atmosphere with friendly staff. The food is also excellent, and I strongly recommend the seitan kebab!
G. K.
Friendly place, with an all vegan menu. Had the haggis, neeps and tatties, maybe should have ordered a side order of something too, but delicious all the same . Free WiFi.
W. B.
Really good venue for bands, downstairs in 13th note. Great sound and atmosphere. Saw The Art Revival in there. Brilliant young band. Check them out on YouTube.
H. J.
Great vegan comfort food! Would definitely recommend this place for people who want to eat healthy, but be a bit naughty. "Breakfast" is where it's at.
B. G.
Food was amazing. Nice chilled out place. Will be back.
I. P.
I'm not vegetarian or vegan, but I throughly enjoyed the food I had here. The bar itself is really relaxed with a great atmosphere I can't reccomend it enough.
C. D.
Good music venue, good size and good sound! Food and drink are as you would expect for Glasgow. Nice atmosphere though with candles and stuff.
c. c.
Food was excellent there, brought friends in to try the menu. To die for. Great variety, music was great. Staff as always are charming and helpful.
C. G.
Cracking wee venue. Might look a bit run down but in my eyes, it is a relic.
L.
Good food! We had quite a long wait but that might have been a one time thing, seemed like there were some new people around so that's understandable!
P. C.

A. N.
Chilled place with great food , Might not be everyones cup of tea but rustic , hippy , eclectic bar/restaurant with some live music throw in for good measure in a tiny basement venue does it for me .
L. Z.

C. C.
Visited for lunch one afternoon. Food took a long time to prepare, but service was good. Ordered soup of the day, and curry fries. Satisfying, a bit overpriced.
G. R.
Freindly staff, wonderful food and gigs under the main building, what more could you want.
K. K.
Consistently good, my only minor criticism being that sometimes their bottled beers, e.g. Fuerstenberg, can be on the warm side. Brilliant gig space downstairs.
A. S.
