A bit different from the norm. Was there for a gig and atmosphere was a little inhibited. Bars are efficient and fairly priced tho. Has the feel of an event space more than a gig venue
P. H.
Brilliant night had by all , great venue and food was great …. Recommend 👍👍

Ok so Christmas work night out, looking forward to it. For seating at 7:15. Arrived at 7:05. Not allowed to enter event. Had to stand outside in the cold. Started to rain. Was told under no circumstances we could enter venue. The pathway to event was like an ice rink! Did not seem to be salted/ gritted in preparation for guests. Guests obviously dressed up, wearing heels and left waiting in a queue to get in, although we knew seating wasn’t until 7:15 we were never told that if we showed up before this we would have to wait outside in the cold! Issues with table, some guests unable to attend. Staff confrontational and very defensive. Had a good night but was marred by attitude by staff, lack of communication and professionalism. We spent a lot of money on food and drinks and were served at different times per tables and lack of drinks delivered when ordered. Often had to remind staff we had ordered drinks.
Really uncomfortable chairs obviously old and scraped. Not worth the money and could have been so much better if handled more smoothly with less negative attitude from door staff

Attended the Hogmanay party a few days ago. Food was good but there were far too many people in the space meaning no room on the dance floor and bar queues were lengthy all of the night
S. M.
Staff were nice. Strange setting for a Christmas night out I wasn’t drinking but I felt drunk cause the motion of the boat. Food was nice
M. M.
Brilliant Springsteen Sessions!
Fabulous, joyous night.
Would highly recommend.
Food was good too.

Fantastic place for a night out! Great food and music, excellent service. Thank you!
A. R.
First time going to the Ferry. Ww went for Bruno Mars and Olly Muirs tribute. Friends that have been before warned me about the food. Well, they were wrong! I must say my roast chicken with the creamy sauce was delicious! The meringue...well, plate wiped out!:) Great food! Great night! Fab company!
S. M.
We had a hen booked for a few weeks and unfortunately the band had to pull out last minute. They were replaced for the night and although it wasn't expected it was still a great night. The only issue myself and the rest of the group found was the drinks prices. One was charged £39 for a jug of venom and I was charged £15 for a long vodka and then a shot. Other than that it was a great night with good atmosphere, good food and the staff were great in taking part!
S. W.
Staff were wonderful very helpful. There were 20 of us and they didn't falter when brinigng our order. Great friendly environment. Recommend 100%. Always had a great Xmas night here. Totally recommend.
c. k.

A. S.
Brilliant new year party food was great and staff were excellent 👌
W. T.
Great live music venue which also serves good meals prior to shows. Meal and show deals a good saver.
Bar a bit expensive - £7+ for two spirits (no mixer). Get in early if you want a seat / table. Meals are best pre-booked.
L. S.
Entertainment was great, great atmosphere aswell & friendly staff. Food was disapointing. Would go back again for the show
J. C.
Great night, food was good & the entertainment was really good as well. Would recommend
T. T.
There's quite a wait between your meal and the show but over all its a great night out. Food is yummy and the show we saw was great. The drinks are a bit pricey but it was a laugh.
c. m.
Gd staff, friendly atmosphere, dj very gd & ceilidh band very gd...

Great Venue with a wide variety of tribute acts showcasing their talents. Lovely food at very affordable prices served prior to the shows. Fantastic and friendly staff.
K. D.
Fab venue for my e music and food surprisingly decent! Great night and would defo go back!!!
D. M.
Great night . Food was really enjoyable . Staff were really efficient and very pleasant. The Stones tribute show was absolutely terrific. Cannot say enough about The Ferry.....just a genuinely great night out . One tiny complaint , though it didn't stop us enjoying ourselves , but £3.80 for a bottle of 0% alcohol beer...a wee bit steep is it not ? Won't stop us going back though . Great night .
T. N.
Good atmosphere. Friendly staff good entertainment very enjoyable
A. M.
Limited menu but the food was good. This is the second time we have been here seeing tributes to the Eagles & last nights tribute to Ollie Murs & Bruno Mars , they were excellent & on both nights the support act were also very good
A. W.
Great attentive staff, food - is what it is not exactly fine dining but does the job , great entertainment from Soul Foundation on the night we visited , good night out
S. B.
We had a fantastic night at the Abba tribute. The pakora starter was delicious. The band were also fantastic. Looking forward to coming back.
V. M.
Great fun and entertainment fantastic. If you wish a place to go with friends I would recommend.
J. M.
Been here over 50 times and seen some great gigs with loads of good value tribute nights on offer to suit all tastes, their gold card scheme is well worth it as all the meal deals are great with always a minimum of three options including vegetarian, have always found staff helpful right from phoning to book through security, bar and waiting & look forward to going again......
G. m.
The place was excellent, food amazing. Bar prices average for Glasgow, however the waiting staff were poor, brought over wrong drinks and when we said it was wrong, she replied we have made the wrong drink up, so could you drink this and we will get you the correct one next round, she was serious too. Took away my liqueur which had some in it, when I asked where my drink was, same waitress replied, I took it away a few minutes ago thinking that it was empty, I said that it wasn't, she proceeded to go up to the bar, where my glass was and brought me back a glass which was on the bar, I reacted by telling her, that in a covid environment, did she expect me to drink out of a glass that had sat at a public bar for nearly 5 minutes, she replied, what do you want me to do.
B. A.
Fantastic meal and brilliant 80s night.
B. B.
The Renfrew Ferry is an amazing live music and hire out venue..with the option of a meal with the paid ticket of choice.
Friendly staff and a great manageress
J. A. S.
Great group on price. Meal lovely. Bar over priced. Entertainment was fun. All in all a good night out.
J. M.
Great Venue. Just a wee bit remote from things. Great place for local bands and tribute acts. Bar service can be a bit slow and don't try to get in before 7.30 cos they won't let you...
P. “. M.
Great please for a gig, friendly staff great service..
Think it needs to advertise a little more
D. G.
We attended on Saturday for the Bowie tribute, the meal and service were excellent and so was "Bowie".
The reasons I didn't give a 5 star rating were:-
1. The stairs down to the disabled toilet were in total darkness all night and were a health and safety issue esp since I am visually impaired, even my sighted companion found it difficult to see going down them to the Ladies.Get this sorted before someone comes to grief.
2. The price of drinks were £9 for a "Pint" of Best plus a vodka and a can of Irn Bru which was expensive but the worst thing about them were the facts that he vodka measure seemed very small.
The "Pint" of Best came in a very soft plastic cup so I thought I would pour it into the pint glass I had with my meal, which had about an inch or so left of Best, to my surprise it didn't fill the pint glass. Grrrr
N. F.
Nice wee venue to listen to live music and enjoy a meal and drink
J. J.
Good value for money food was fine for what you paid. Only thing was dance floor downstairs we danced just where we sat and had a good night
G. S.
Decent venue. Plenty street parking near by.
Prices for drinks changed everytime we went to the bar though, I assume due to inexperienced bar staff and them fighting over 1 till between the 4 of them.
G. H.
Good night at the ferry for rock of ages tonight and southside texas well done everyone and staff where very helpful xxx
K. S.
Good acts great food worth a visit
S. I.
100% the best atmosphere and 1000% the best food you will ever taste
J. B.
Good menu service excellent great atmosphere very pleasant place for comfortable ñight out
S.
Great venue for a small up close gig
A. M.
Great night out for live music of all sort
W. M.
Had a great night here at the rock of ages night.. I am a gold card member which makes it amazing value at only £14 for a 2 course meal and then live entertainment. Staff are very friendly and helpful
m. m.
Great venue, though the stage view is limited depending on what seat you get upstairs. The staff are fabulous tho.
r. w.
Great night . Shame Fleetwood max called off but still a good night.. food and staff were brilliant 👏
C.
Attended tonight for the Elton John tribute night. The food was fantastic. The singer was fantastic. The service was second to none and overall we had a great night. Special mention to Liam the waiter whose attentiveness was something special and Mick the doorman who was very welcoming. Absolutely top notch hospitality. Will definitely be back with a larger party. Glasgow’s hidden gem
B. C.
Had a wonderful night here for the Wishbone Ash gig...highly recommend it.. upper and lower viewing area, get there early if you are any a table on the "balcony"... Well managed and staff friendly and helpful...
M. F.
A cracking family night out, food was good the live music from Itchycoo Park was great.
H. M.
Food was lovely. Great value for money. Great night at the dinner and tribute. Booked already to go back.
i. a.
Best wee night out for miles , the food isn't bad and they cater to gluten free , lots of tribute bands can't beat it
G. B.
First time having food before the gig. Highly recommended doing this as you are guaranteed a seat for later on. The menu doesn't look good at first inspection ( please add a burger to the menu) but the food is delicious. Good service and great value and you don't wait long for it either. Would give it 5 stars if the drink was a bit cheaper
L. O.
Seeing Absolute Bowie for the second time. Fab show great venue. Bit spency on the drink tho 🍻
A. R.
Great night out food ok Fleetwood Max brilliant will be back for another tribute band
C. C.
The food was good, staff very nice but were constantly being badgered by manager to get orders. 24.50 for a bottle of wine is a bit steep, when there was one at 16.00 which they could have given her. Also had lots to drink but felt sober every one said the same thing?
d. m.
Was at the Springsteen Session and Piano Man last night and it was fantastic. The staff were lovely and the bands were great. Really good sound and atmosphere. Can't wait to go back and see more gigs. The only downside is that it needs a bit tlc and done up and some air conditioning as it was really hot but overall I absolutely loved the bands and it looked like everyone had a ball. I will definitely be back.
J. s.
Great show featuring Andy Fairweather Lowe and the Lowe Riders. Nice meal to start the evening. Another great night at a great Venue.
s. m.
A great music venue, good food and frink, I love the fact that you get your drink in a real glass!
T. L.
Went to see Kenny Rogers / Neil Diamond tribute night. Was good. Food as expected. Staff excellent
M. M.
Always a great night in The Ferry, lots of good tribute bands.
The latest being Status No.
Brilliant show!
G. M.
Lovely meal great entertainment
C. T.
Was here for the Scottish pink Floyd, cracking night, great atmosphere, crowd had a good sing along to wish you were here. Drinks are reasonably priced. Staff are helpful and cheerful. Would come back here for another gig.
K. T.
Just called in for a drink while in Glasgow for the day. The weather was glorious so enjoyed a glass of wine on the deck. Looks like they have live music as there is a stage down stairs. Staff attentive and friendly. Recommend this place.
C. C.
Such a lovely place! We were a group of 4 people visiting Glasgow! We had a two course meal and watched a David Bowie tribute. The food was great, the band (spiders on mars) was really amazing and the staff was very kind throughout the whole evening! After a slight confusion with our booking they arranged a table and helped us with the menu.
Really recommend!
F. G.
Had our Christmas party for work here and had a blast. In years past many of the Christmas do's at other venues had felt like a conveyor belt where they were rushing you through so as to seat the next party. The Ferry was more of a venue where you were welcomed and felt like you were there for the night. The food was served family style which I liked and it was of a good standard.
J. C.
A great wee live music venue, just seen the scottish pink floyd, an amazing band, gents toilets are good, staff are great, 👍
L. M.
Great night. Food was lovely and staff were amazing. Would highly recommend.
g. a.
The ferry is a great venue for live music. Big enough to for the audience to generate a good atmosphere but small enough to really get close to the band. It's also good to sit on deck with a beer in the summer.
J. L.
What a night the food was first class and mod life crisis were tip drawer definitely be bact
I. M.
Always great to be at a big at the Ferry. A chance to get up close to the acts and the sound system is excellent. They have a decent bar at reasonable prices and you can also get a meal prior to your gig. Parking on the nearby streets and only a short walk from Glasgow city centre.
E. B.
Won 4 tickets for a meal and show. It was awesome. I am in a wheelchair and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. The waitress was brilliant asking us at times through the night if we were still enjoying ourselves. We had a totally brilliant night and the warm up group was great. The tribute band Status No was amazing. Thank you "The Glasgow Ferry". A table of very happy bunnies.
b. h.
The Ferry is a great venue with excellent tribute acts. Food is available prior to the gig starting, usually 4 starter and 4 main covering vegetarian etc. Food is of a very good standard and enjoyed in a great friendly atmosphere. The Ferry does one off tickets, Friends of the Ferry scheme reduction in prices and Gold membership which I recommend. I have been a member now for several years and never had a bad night, great selection of music to chose from as seen on their website. Easy to book and very friendly staff, overall a great night out, usually finishing about midnight.
L. M.
Loved it. I won a competition for dinner for 4 people n to see the jersey notes. Food was lovely n drinks were reasonably priced. I loved the jersey notes. They do different tribute acts so look out for ure favourites.
s.
I went for pride to see a drag show and the show was amazing and the venue was lovely! Honestly had an amazing time!
C. T.
Great venue. Good food
S. J.
We had a great night for our works Christmas night out. Will go back.
M. M.
Never disappoints - tribute nights - high calibre performances; attentive supportive staff, great venue in a safe friendly atmosphere, dress up/casual and if wheelchair accessible. A1/5* well deserved.
A. D.
What a gas good music and beer was cold!! What else after a weeks work, will be telling people about it as it was a wee hidden gem 💎 🙂
k. g.
Great venue, been a couple of times now and enjoyed the atmosphere and good beers.
Some brilliant bands coming up in the next couple of months.
CHECK IT OUT IF YOU'RE IN TOWN. 👅
s. s.
Small venue but good acts go there. Enjoyed the food before the music started. Drinks are reasonable for the location. Been a few times and always been enjoyable.
A. K.
The band was on fire tonight and the ferry was outstanding i will going there again in the future for the music gigs
J. B.
First of all, I've only experienced this place from a musicians perspective. The food is good if not spectacular. Reasonable selection of beers. Friendly staff. Unusual venue
A. K.
Greater night,but a bit experience.
P. O.
Been several times and enjoyed it. Food was ok but choices poor. Sweet is an extra £4.50 and you can't have a main and pudding so not flexible. I had chicken Lakota and there was no bite to it. Almost tasted microwaved. I also had the chicken with haggis potatoes. It was Ok! The tribute act wasn't up to much, (Johnny Cash) poor sound (we were sitting next to stage) so not the best night at the Ferry for my group but we made the best of it!
J. M.
Was a cold night we ended up after our meal with our coats on it was that cold havin glass of rum did not help would not go bk on Jan maybe ok in the summer
G. L.
Great place, great night definitely be back was there for 60s experience on Saturday night. Total value for money, food was excellent & music brilliant, and all the staff made it a special night for us. Thank you.
D. S.
Always a great night in there drinks aren't too expensive either considering it's on a ferry and they have a great selection of acts on throughout the years and food is brilliant too would recommend this place although it can be a bit sloppy wen it's been raining as the ramp is steep.
D. M.
LOVE this place! Food always piping hot & tasty! Best wee entertainment venue EVER! My partner, sister & bro in law go there regularly for the great variety of groups performing! 👍😊❤
A. m.
Love the tribute bands here. It's worthwhile getting the Gold Card as it makes price much cheaper.
P. M.
Very enjoyable great meal first class entertainment from the great Andy Fairweather Low and the Lowriders all in all great venue
S. D.
Brilliant Xmas 2021 party night ..not too crowded and well spaced out ..Great night and fab food 😋
j. m.
Great food. Superb entertainment. Nice crowd as well, no-one being silly. Just a really nice night out with friends. Would recommend it to anyone.
K. r.
Food nice , band great only thing that ruined the whole night was the fact that there was no air con and in a small space lot of people doesn't work , I get the idea would be to sell more overpriced drink but no just made me uncomfortable and want to go home
C. M. D.
Visited the Ferry for dinner and tribute band. Food was fine and band were excellent. Very very pricey for drink and the venue was cold. Could be doing with a fresh lick of paint and some new tables. All in all an ok night
C. G.
Good night out and I liked the acts on offer. Yes it was a tribute but you got to sing along and dance a bit and sometimes that's just what you need on a wet and windy Friday night!
R. M.
I had a good night at the ferry last Friday night which I won tickets for the meal was good and the service from staff was great friendly and helpful. Drinks a wee bit dear.
Would I go again yes it was a good night out
Thanks to the ferry
F. G.
I went to The Ferry to see "The Scottish Pink Floyd". On the night that I went it was pretty packed full. There's no air conditioning, so it's absolutely hot. And obviously you don't dance to Pink Floyd music. Just with the place being packed & the heat from everyone is stifling!! The alcohol is also costly. Almost everyone was standing & there were very few seats for people to sit on.
D. L.
Food is decent but entertainment is a bit hot or miss. Luckily at my last visit, 2 of the 3 acts eere very good.drink is expensive.
Would go again and would recommend
L. M.
Great live music venue. More people should support their efforts. Also great 2 course meal for only £10 when booked in advance
d. t.
When to see Status No cover band, tremendous band. The staff were fantastic, helpful beyond the call of duty
l. b.
Rolling stones and the black triangles great night x
A. A.
Everything was great girl singing before Rod was amazing but since it was Rod we were there to see use advertised he was starting at 830 which he didn't we had to leave early to get train to Greenock we missed the second half of show its not worth travelling for half a show.
s. b.
Another great night at the Ferry, never disappoints, The Cassettes very versatile covers through the decades ... then U2 Tribute 'Vertigo' great talent and energy.. and a tasty meal to start served by lovely staff as always.. We won our tickets and enjoyed a super night.. Thanks Thomas and the ferry !
l. M.
Brilliant place.Lovely setting and great entertainment .best of all is the amazing food.great menu choice and lovely tasty fresh food.friendly service and great cocktails.looking forward to going back.
A. R.
First time in this venue it was pretty cool. Food was ok. We used a groupon voucher so it was cheap so wasnt expecting much from the food. Good live music
D. G.
Absolutely fantastic food lovely and live music 🎶 fantastic
J. M.
Went for a works Christmas night out, food was good, dj played a wide variety of music from different eras, only thing that let the night down was the table service for drinks, I ordered five times and still didn't get my order, others in the company got fed up and left.
I. T.
Lovely food good service was a great show danced all night
R. W.
Would have to give this facility 4 stars for good value for money and atmoshere in a simplistic way.
Old ferry that plied across the River Clyde banks in times go by and now an established music venue that plays tribute bands ect. Also does ok (standard) meal/drinks with reasonable prices and seating areas.
Check out "The Ferry" online for gig calander and groupon deals can include tickets /meal deal for reduced price.
If in town ok for a night down at the river.
J. K.
Yet another fantastic event. The bands were superb as always and an amazing dinner. The staff are so friendly and helpful
I. H.
Great experience. Went to see the Motown Brothers and it was so much fun. Seen a review about food portion sizes and as a big eater I can safely say the food was ample. Great staff and atmosphere.
j. w.
This was our first visit here and have given three stars but it could so easy have been a five
We went for a meal and the show option (Groupo bargain)
On arrival ladies bags are searched little bit intrusive for my wife never experienced this when going for dinner
Reception quickly showed us to our table on a mezzanine floor overlooking the stage perfect
Our order of wine was quickly delivered followed by our choice of food fantastic waiting staff
Food was perfectly adequate no complaints at all
After dinner people were moving to tables downstairs
We enquired why
Reason was to be closer to the dance
floor
On hearing this my wife drags us downstairs to a darkish part of the boat surrounded by people with their heavy coats on why you ask
It was bloody freezing I know its a boat on the Clyde in winter but surely like everywhere else a bit of extra heat could be supplied
We then had to wait nearly 2 hours before the act came out and to be honest we were warmed up by dancing as the ABBA tribute band was better than we were expecting
We had a great night
next time we shall go for dinner a little later
And stay upstairs in the warmth
Then it will be a five star review
C. G.
Not long in from a night on the Ferry, meal was at 6.pm, I enjoyed it, the wait for the entertainment was awful didn't start until 8.30pm. where a young girl sang, she was good, ( no one accept myself and a woman who was next table asked me to go up and dance with her, ( as she looked bored with the company of the man she was with) we were not allowed out on the deck to smoke we had to go off the Ferry. We met a lovely elderly couple who asked for a coffee and it was refused. The guy who came on singing Michael Buble', songs was good, unfortunately there was no atmosphere, the customers who were there didn't get up and dance, quite a lot were on there mobile's no socialising,(accept for the lovely couple we met, my friend and I danced, we left at the break.
D. B.
World class! Went here for a company event and the staff was fanatic. For food we had a buffet and it tasted so fresh and as if you ordered a al la cart meal.
Well recommended
R. M.
Meals were beautiful, and couldn't believe how quick the service was, hardly waited any time between courses. Music was fantastic, but then again it depends on who you're going to see
L. L.
An old ferry - now static on the Clyde River. Converted for live music. Bar available downstairs. Food available upstairs at tables.
An excellent small venue to see live music.
W. C.
Great night. Great music. Average food but there were a lot of people. Staff were great and very organised. Brilliant night out on the whole.
G. W.
Had lunch on deck in the sun. Two of us shared 3 lightplates and a jug of prosecco sangria. Food good and service was quick with a very friendly waitress. Would recommend.
A. M.
Decent food, quirky layout, but they have to sort out the the ridiculously steep (and slippy) metal ramp at the front door - people with limited mobility or high heel wearers likely to go sprawling...
L. G.
won a competition from the ferry 4 of us went and had a lovely meal (service quick )and watched u2 tribute band vertigo who where excellent .the support was Geoff lynne tribute singer who was really good also.the atmosphere was amazing if you like tribute bands this is the place to go
g. c.
Went to see the Ritchie Blackmore tribute band - Blackmores Blood, they were fantastic. Very good musicians and the lead vocalist was superb. A very good venue, fantastic value for money.
D. M.
Great night. Really enjoyed the 'Burger and sides' . Band was excellent. Staff very friendly and efficient. Once again a really good night.
L. D.
Fantastic venue, food is excellent, music for all tastes. Staff were brilliant, great service. Would definitely recommend a visit

Great little music venue, good grub and great unobtrusive service from their staff. A Jen of a place and their staff truly make it that. 10/10
J. E.

S. C.
Was a great night out and the 60s music the band were playing was excellent. Also no queuing at bar.. just been lucky a guess.
C. I.
Great wee pub
Full disclosure, I won tickets for a U2 tribute band
L. S.
Great size for gigs, wee dance floor and lovely sun deck. Drinks a bit pricey tho.
B. N.
My daughter was playing this venue. Surprise was pat cairns was also playing. He was my old singer from our band back in the day. Lucy tay was brill. Pat does a good kenny rodgers. And also neil diamond. Gr8 nite. Venue very professional. Will defo be back. Cheers.
b. k.
I have been to the ferry a couple of times Good live bands but think they may need a new chef on both visits the food i was served was burnt.
One portion of Veg pakora. The pakora was Black in colour.
One portion of lamb. The lamb meat was also black in colour and covered in heavy sauce to hid the fact
L. M.
Lovely staff. Drink not to pricey.food just enough when drinking all night. And queen tribute first class. Had a great night
I. M.
Great night with great food and music. Will definitely be back.
m. h.
Great night... music was wee bit too loud. Food was lovely. Staff great.
s. b.
Great wee venue, dinners a bit hit and miss but good gigs and friendly staff, they do need to spend a bit of thought on menu then we will be on a winner.
S. M.
Good food decent prices
C. M.
I really liked this place, very good service and great food. A great amount of entertainment too, there's something for everyone!
T. B.
Food was good but first experience getting in was bad as guy had name that booked it and not housing association name we where under and was determined we weren't determined and kept telling me not to raise voice but voice was raised as music was playing and couldn't hear myself let alone him
A. K.
Loved it! Very nice had a great meal and enjoyed the live band Shuffles.
C. W.
Great venue for live music.
I. C.
What a difference from the previous time we were in the ferry last time staff had problems understing basic English. But glad to say that is not the case excellent service by the staff and definitely value for money
J. R.
My friend won tickets for Motown Brothers and a 2 course meal, food was really nice and entertainment was excellent. The service from staff was also very good and all friendly.
I. S.
Good for gigs but the single step from bar to function floor trips most folk up...I got showered in beer more than once.
N. P.
Never knew it existed! Amazing in a sunny warm weather.. Just sit outside and chill. Weather with food ot drink.. Although chai latte was average.
A. K.
Fantastic night the atmosphere the food the music all great well done had a great time
I. K.
Won 4 tickets for a meal and a show, the the food was delicious and the staff were so friendly, the show itself was great, would definitely recommend this and will be returning

Great venue for music. Decent food if you want a meal before a gig.

Excellent food; swift, efficient and cheerful service; fine entertainment and a superb atmosphere - couldn't ask for better (if I could have given it 4.9, I would have).
