Used to come along a few years ago and it was a mess, always dead even on a saturday. Returned to the club a few weeks ago and it''s improved massively since being under Lauren's new management with more advertising and cleanliness its such a vibe! even when its a little bit quieter if you take a few friends there Lauren will make sure you have a good time! Every place deserves a manager like Lauren !

Visited a couple of times before lockdown every time full of people that stunk of weed ran down dirty took a lot of convincing to come back bad experiences did not believe my friends when they said it be different now new management and omg what a difference. Staff and music quality can actually dance like a club instead of falling asleep. Everyone so friendly and security can have a joke not some bullies like other places but bit flirty. Havent met manager yet but hats off to you done amazing flipping everything round everyone standing outside asking for Lauren with the green hair lol like a Leicester celeb never planned on coming back but my mind is changed Lauren with the green hair I hope you see this and pass on thank you to your staff will be coming back and would like to get you a drink for managing to change my mind

The best night out in Leicester! Music is always banging especially TAKE-A-TRANCE Tuesdays! Shoutout to DJ Robbie brown and DJ pheelnox…..The new refurb is amazing and perfectly ran by the manager Lauren!

Booked this for work party, helped me sort out arrival drink, caterers, special cocktail menu the owner Ben is really brilliant and had the place set when I looked round. I was able to view the venue in all its beauty, candles and all after work. Very professional service the team couldnt do enough on the night to get it right too. Thank you thank you!! Fun late night venue with an eclectic choice of music including House, Reggae, Ska Motown and more! Come Tuesdays for drinks deals but expect it to be quiet before 1 on most days. Their cocktail list is decent and their spirit selection good especially for the type of venue. Once you start dancing be prepared to stay until 6.

Nice little establishment where you can definitely have a good night out for a decent price. My only complaint would be that if you sit down the bouncers automatically assume you're drunk and say "take a minute outside then come back" I was as sober as humanly possible that's what puzzled me. My friend wanted to kick up a fuss but I didn't want a scene so I just followed the security guy so I could talk to him. Next thing you know he's saying you're too drunk you can't come back in.... Like seriously? My friend got mad and got kicked out as well. My advice would be for them to properly assess if someone is drunk but otherwise a pretty sound place deffo worth going

Great little late-night club that tends to have a much more chilled out clientèle than the bigger clubs in the middle of town. Pretty accessible music that most people can groove to, compared to Sophbeck/Sub8Ten on the opposite side of the road-split; which has more heavy electronic vibes on most nights.

Had a great 30th birthday party at the basement. such a great cool venue. Ideally located in city centre. Great décor and staff. Couldn’t fault it. I had no idea the basement offered such a great space. Would definitely recommend and book again. Thanks Basement team

Have just had a private party here , which was a surprise for my brother, and couldn't fault it , place is quirky and the staff were brilliant especially sam the manager who was working that night, couldnt do enough to make sure my brothers night went well .and that we all had a great time, which we did. Hence the name of basement. This is an underground late night bar/club. Very tiny inside, expensive drinks, odd music. However, you get slightly better people going there, but it is very much a none pulling bar. Big groups go and stick together such as students or work parties etc.

Great club with good service, but particularly because of the Soulshaker night on Saturdays. Djs Stevie T and Dan make it nearly every week the best Soul, Rock n' Roll, (proper old) Rhythm and Blues and 50s/60s grooves night I know outside of London, including Notts, Bristol, Sheff, Leeds, and none of the others usually go past 4am. And I literally can't thik of a better night of its type anywhere, including London. I'm a regular on the dancefloor, and travel to similar nights up to 150 miles away, but this is my favourite of all. Leicester's gem, not for non-music lovers, hope they keep it alternative and not let townies in, plenty of mainstream places for people like that to go to!

Really good place for chilling, music here hiphop rap some pop , but one thing that i don’t like that they didn’t have any of chips or nuts something salty. you know what I mean
