Clean bedroom, fabulous location
Staff friendly, Guy was very welcoming and food was excellent, Sam's kitchen is so tasty! Try it you won't be disappointed and price is not bad either

Clean room, friendly staff but kettle had filament debris (so no hot drinks) and no-one seemed around for Saturday breakfast

Found by accident whilst trying to get a seat for the Euro 2020 England Germany Game. The location tucked around the corner from Kings Cross meant that it wasn't busy. All the cleanliness controls were in place with ample oppertunities for servce which was swift and friendly. Couple of TVs placed as best they could given the layout. Served Heineken too, which is a nice change in this day & age. Nice pub. Thanks.

Nice little bar, friendly atmosphere and bar staff were also welcoming. It was a cold night and we sat near a "live" fire place - cosy & warm. Bar service was quick. We went at a quiet time, on the way to the theatre, so there wasn't a show on, but we hear the shows are good. We passed by later and saw it was much busier with a performer on stage. We will return...

The pub had a very nice rooftop area and was very cozy. Since it was close to king's cross station, the pub was easy to find and travel to. The food was high grade but expensive. the people there were friendly. i went to a board game event and enjoyed myself and im grateful to the staff for allowing it as an event. There were three bathrooms, ladies and gentlemen downstairs and unisex upstairs so its very inclusive. The unisex bathroom was very clean. Overall I had a good time and I'd recommend going.

I really wanted to like this hotel. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, though the rooms left a little to be desired. There was foul food/sewage smell coming from the tiny bathroom. Shower was smaller than what you’d find in an RV. The bed was not very comfortable.

Great friendly vibe in the place - staff are incredibly friendly and relaxed and the atmosphere is always good. The food can be a bit hit-or-miss, but if you're just going for drinks with friends then you can have a great time.
Downstairs is very naughty. Not for the casual passer-by.

One of my favourite bars when I visit London. Have to admit I have a nostalgic soft spot for the place. One of the first London gay bars I visited in 90's when a group of us visited after a Marc Almond concert. What a night, Years later some of the nights in the Underground Bar, probably some of the best I've ever had. Zero attitude from management and staff. When I was there last, the place could have done with some updating, but quite frankly that is part of the charm. Not been so much lately as I no longer live in London, but I'm glad its survived the gentrification of the area. Clearly adjustments have been made, as Kings Cross is not the place it once was. Not tried the B&B facilities but seem very reasonably priced and competitive. Just to declare an interest here. I worked the door and coat check at CS, not for Martin and Duncan directly, but for one of the promoters renting the cellar bar. Bye the way, the review left below 3 years ago by Alan Roberts is unfair. He is a club promoter who left this venue and has issues. Martin and Duncan who run this venue are two of the nicest people in this business, and long may they continue!

If you wanna be taken to a gay bar a gay bar .there's none better . Upstairs a normal bar , cheap hotel rooms upstairs if you wanna stay the night , a good smoking terrace it's got it all . Where this place comes into its own though it the basement club. Not for the bashful and don't wonder down their if you're not open minded as it's a bit naughty. On Wednesdays they have the appropriately titled sweet Wednesday which is a club for TV/ts and their admirers to get together and be naughty. Font look behind the curtain if you don't want to know what goes on .

Incredible food and friendly service. Had a lovely evening here this Saturday..have eaten here many times and it just gets better and better. New menu I cluded all kinds of interesting meats from around the world and also veggie options. Food was clearly all home made and freshly cooked.

The location of the hotel is good, and surprisingly quiet with the tree lined road beautiful with them all in blossom. The staff are friendly and helpful. However the building is getting a bit sad and in need of renovation. The chef at breakfast was very friendly and served up a great meal cooked to order.

I have just stayed here for the weekend Saturday through to Monday morning, it's a great little place, brilliant location for access to kings cross station. Room was lovely & had all that was needed for my stay, the bed was very comfortable! Staff were warm and welcoming and breakfast was excellent, I stayed for a few drinks down at the bar Saturday night and the entertainment there that night was fab! Thanks, would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again.

Visited last night (Sunday) for a drag night. The pub isn't massive and the bar is fairly small but they did have a varied amount of drinks. I had reviews that it was dirty and the toilets weren't very nice, but I saw no issues there at all. Will certainly be going back for drag and events in the future.

Those who prefer places with character as opposed to standard hotel buildings will truly love this place. has a homely feel. This of course means that it comes with its idiosyncrasies. A winding staircase which might be painful; tiny rooms; shared bathrooms etc. But you cant expect more out of a cheap place in such a central location. The terrace area is splendid. I would stay here again purely for its charm.
S.
Great rooms at a very reasonable price.
Sadly the staff working the kitchen have a real issue around providing breakfast. Had to venture out each morning of my 2 day stay as the chef didn't turn in one day and only offered us tea and coffee despite us arriving 20 mins before close of kitchen.

The most community-minded of all London's gay bars. Friendly, down-to-earth and no 'attitude'. Lots of locals, such as myself, are loyal supporters yet it also attracts visitors from around the world - so there are always new faces. Great staff and the owners, Martin and Duncan, are game for a laugh anytime. TOP RECOMMENDATION!

Underneath it's a fetish venue. Still wish it was cleaner and better maintained. A toilet seat and bleach would be a good start. Yes I know there's watersports there, but a bit better cleaning and some more investment in a update to the decor and delete humidifier would be a godsend. They do have real ale but only Deuchers IPA.

Fab place. Great choice of food which is freshly prepared and excellent value.Underground club in need of redecorating but always a good time. Bar staff are the friendliest in town.Atitude free all welcome. Great acts on selected nights

Fantastic friendly stop off for a straight, single woman. Great hospitality, food and conversation from the staff. Lovely roof terrace. A hidden gem!! I wish Lewis (Lucy Lastic) well with performances , a 🌟!!

Is it a pub or a bar? Whatever it is it's not the best looking place around but I was coming for Geek meets here and that made me like this place. I'm not a fan of gay venues but this place is indeed cozy and staff are friendly. Downside would be price list but then again it is a popular place. Not a fan of dungeons or stuff but it dkes give you options.

Whent here on Saturday to see a drag show. Have to say I was very presently surprised. The bar staff were very nice in general although there was one bar tender who had a rather snooty attitude. A bit pricy but was a fun hight.
E. S.
Location was great and it's a lovely set up bar but the bar staff where less than desirable at one point the bar was left unattended for about 10 mins. The staff also were very cold and unfriendly.
P. M.
It was a drag queen night with many of the crowd in drag. Even if you are not a fan I still recommend to have a drink there as it is something different from an usual night out (just be prepared to take some friendly banter if you are a "square", I did!)
N. H.
one of the best old fashiond pubs that i have been to, staff are so friendly and its a great night out, had some really good nights in there and cant wait to return, plenty of parking on the streets around in the evening so all good

I went expecting a general micro food ...Well how I was wrong.
The food was on time.
I state chose the plater mix... And it was all hot and surprisingly fresh.. GOING BACK FOR THE FOOD.. price for under a tenner....a deffinant thumbs up
.. I'm going back just to eat again with my mates.
J. K.
Really great roof terrace, lovely place to go for a drink and very friendly staff. I can't believe I've never been there before! Would definitely go back

Central Station is a cosy gay bar tucked behind King's Cross. The bar staff are lovely. It's not for alcohol connoisseurs. I was attending Vicious Von Vixen's vaudeville caberet, which was sublime.
J. S.
The cabaret show was amazing, drinks were nice and not awfully expensive for central London. Great evening overall.
A.
Friendly service and interesting crowd. A few basic beers and ciders on tap. The champagne is very reasonably priced.
B. R.
Nice roof top bar, spent an evening here for a friend's birthday drinks. There are several private rooms available for functions.

I hadn't visited Central Station for 30 years. The decor hasn't changed since I was last there. And nor has the playlist.
T. J.
Great place to go. One of the only decent fun gay bars left in london!!
L. T.

Nice enough and part of the growing up.of many gay men. But needs to drop the door charge on Saturdays and modernise a bit.
