Nice looking pub. Very spacious with free parking. Good food but service is average at best. Asked for Long Island Iced Tea only to hear that bartender cannot be asked to make such drink during cold weather.

Called in for a few drinks while staying nearby. Good selection of beers plenty of outdoor seating and the indoor space is well laid out and clean. The staff are friendly the only downside is they only accept card payments at the moment otherwise a thoroughly enjoyable experience

Don't come expecting a classic British pub experience in terms of setting or ambience but it does a decent enough job with a good range of drinks and beers on tap. Food is available but not rehat I would term as gastropub choice with a pretty standard menu or burgers, fish and chips, curry etc. Customers are mainly from local hotels and people attending events at Excel.

Enjoyed staying here, the room was so quiet, the gentleman that ran the front desk at night was wonderful, he did everything he could to make our stay enjoyable. The food was okay, the beer choice okay, and there wasn't any breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

Large indoors and outdoors seating areas. The outdoor areas have umbrellas and all tables are numbered. Drinks are ordered via an App and card. Some initial difficulty with App and some products out of stock. Enjoyable enough.

Great pub and a cool hidden gem. But if you're not ordering at the bar and you're using their 'round' app be prepared for an excessive wait. On the occasion I went there were barely any staff serving a packed pub. And the guys that were at the bar were overwhelmed. Apart from this there is a great selection of food and drinks including cocktails. Car park is large and restaurant usually hosts customers from local hotels surrounding it.

Nice staff, a good area outside to sit, if a bit of a windy day ( blankets would be useful!) , efficient Covid systems in place and nice food. Coffee orders taken in person as not on the menu- they went above and beyond to give good service. The menu was very limited but that isn't surprising considering the circumstances. A great place to stop after a walk along the waterside. Looking forward to it opening up properly so we can try some more dishes.

Be careful of the parking! I came here to meet some friends and just received a parking fine from 3 weeks ago! When my friends got there they were told by a staff member to enter their car details into a system, however when i got there no staff even mentioned parking to me therefore i had no idea it had to be done! Admittedly there are some signs saying its permit parking however they are easily missed when you are looking for a space to park and its not placed in front of the parking bays. Quite frustrating as we spent alot of money that day but according to many previous reviews, the company is not even interested in your evidence that you were there as a customer!

Due a mistake we had to wait more than 1 hour for our food, which is annoying but it can happen. The bar offered a round of free drinks for the 2 of us, fish and chips was good, burger okay. It seemed it was put together very quickly, the meat was a bit burned. For the price I expected more. Staff was very helpful though.

Excellent pub very clean friendly and helpful staff food very good, great service can highly recommend was going to give 4 stars but gave 5 as it had my favourite beer (John Smiths Smooth) which is rare these days. On my second visit in July 2021 had a problem with the app for ordering food and drink not the apps fault my inability with technology, how ever in the end the staff sorted my order had fish and chips not keen on the fish over battered and not that tasty. However the next night I had sausage and mash which was very tasty, another plus was the fact they still served John Smiths my favourite beer.

A great pub/restaurant/hotel situated right next to the lovely Royal Albert Docks in London. The pub itself has a lovely ambiance, it's clean and great service. Due to Covid, the menu has been down-sized but the food is if excellent quality. My only gripe is the outside of the venue which looks a bit shabby. A lick of paint on the tables. Get riding the dead flowers and possibly a colourful mural on that wall leading to the bridge and it would be amazing. Still, that is aesthetic and does not take away from the experience and ambience from the pub itself.

Went there yesterday however didn't eat,just bought drinks. We had a really lovely time as the drink were well priced,the staff were very friendly and the place was very clean. I visited during the winter near Christmas with work colleagues for drinks. It was quiet when we went and so managed to have a nice seating area with our drinks. Good chatter and drinks. Reasonably priced. Has a beer garden so I think I’d like to go back during the warmer months.

Also orederd the nachos with chili another time I visited. They were enormous, and rather delicious. Most impressed. Not a lot of choice in the area, so happy to say that the Fox fills a much needed gap.

It's a pub, slap bang in the middle of a bunch of hotels near the Excel. Decent selection of spirits and beers. Has multiple screens dotted around so you can watch a sport or game of choice. If you just want a casual drink and no Southern fairy malarkey it's great.

A family visit... The location of this branch wasn't hard to locate, if you're taking public transport, it's in-between Royal Albert and Prince Regent on the DLR. There's also a local bus stop just walking distance away near Prince Regent (DLR) i remember. You could always drive of course. The place itself was very nice, the layout, setting, all that stuff were great, can't knock them for that. The food on my part was fine, on the other hand, mother-in-law, her steak, she likes it rare (blue rare even...), she had to get it changed because they overcooked it...TWICE...so it was like third time lucky for her. So by the time she got her meal the way she wanted it, nearly all of us were halfway through to finished. She wasn't too impressed... The staff were nice, they did their jobs, nothing bad to be said. I'd recommenced this place for a nice family meal or whatever...

Cozy place and good food. Very pleasant staff. There's pretty much nothing else near the hotel and this oasis should be on everyone's map. If you booked a hotel near the London City airport you'll know what I mean. We tried the Double Classic Burger and each took 5 minutes to figure out how to attack it 😂 Comes with an average-sized portion of very tasty fries. I don't care what my cardiologist says, I'm coming back tomorrow for more!

Reasonably priced food & drinks. Food Portions were large enough. Staff were friendly & reserved our table with only 15 minutes notice. £12.75 for fish & chips £11.95 for BBQ chicken burger & chips £8.95 for Fox club sandwich & chips £11.98 for classic burger & chips £2.50 for Lemonade or Pepsi £4.80 for London Pride ale £6.45 for 250ml glass wine I would visit again.

It's ok... Does the job but won't set the pub world alight. Food seems a little on the expensive side. First pub I've been to where I wasn't offered a sample of beer to taste when I asked about it. Staff polite and civil, but nothing more. Has car parking which is a big plus for London!

Top pub I visited while in London. Quality food, good prices, and friendly staff. Cocktail specials were good. Definitely would go back. Note for traveling Americans: chicken sandwiches are usually chicken salad. Probably the best place to eat fish and chips near the convention center if you're trying to do that (my friend had them and liked them).

The Foc at Connaught Is one of those new pubs you see at the side of the road and think “I’ve seen that before”. Unfortunately, these newly built pubs lack character. They may offer a sociable environment and panoramic sports TV, but the lack individuality. The food is a hearty, large portioned affair. Veggie and vegan options are catered for on a separate menu. Unfortunately, given the time of day, 19:00 on a Saturday, a number of menu items were not available due to them being sold out. The food was delivered eventually and it was nearly right (there was a bit of confusion over what dessert I ordered). Good value food, plenty of space, comfortable.

The venue is centrally located, well stocked, with a friendly atmosphere. The chicken burger is a delight, and the nachos with chili a strong recommendation for a quick dinner. The pricing is ambitious, but still survivable.

Before management changes this place was quite busy came on this Sunday very quiet Sunday Roast could be better and the Yorkshire pud looks like a meters that fell from sky, Crumble taste like packet crumble, not in the oven enough need to raise the standard a bit high.

This is one of the few older buildings with some character in this area. It’s hidden amongst some modern hotels but it’s the only bar with any atmosphere. I’d recommend this if you want to escape the clinical hotel bar and go to a classic pub which does food and a good range of drinks.

There aren't many alternatives in the area, so the Fox @ Connaught does the job. Limited selection of beer on tap and the Sunday roast was not great, but there is plenty of outdoor seating and it was a lovely sunny day when we were there. Only problem with sitting outside is that you have to stop talking for 15 seconds every few minutes as the aeroplanes take off from City Airport on the other side of the river.

Always use this bar when working at the excel. A good selection of pub food, relaxed as it's order your food at the bar type pub, so you don't have staff harassing you every 10 minutes. Recommended

This pub makes this end of town bearable. Larger selection of beers and wines. It's Fullers pub so you get a few hand pulled beers if thats your thing. There are lots of table and a varied seat types available. There are outside picnic benches too. The food is nothing special but exactly what I expect for this type of establishment. If you are stopping at any of the hotels at clusted at this end of the Excel center is worth a visit as its better than the hotel bars for variety at least.

A rose between DLR, airport and concrete flyovers. Great staff, good fare (esp. for breakfast where the chap who served us for 3 months most days was always a gent). Useful outside seating in the summer. Worthy of a boozy lunch, or a short walk from the local tourist spots (if they can be described as such). Not worth a tube trip on purpose, but if you're in the area you can do much, much worse.

Found by accident while looking for some where to eat in Docklands where there were no parking restriictions. Had a good meal but the staff were a bit quick to remove emty plates my friend had half a sandwich he did not eat and had wrapped it in a servette to take home. The plates were taken away with the sandwich before we could stop them and by thee time we got back to bar to ask for it back it had been thrown awway . However he was offered compesation but refused the offer.
