As venues go, the location couldn't be better. Great security on the door and a very nice welcome. We were there a drag bingo event. The show was great, fun interactions and the drinks well made and poured. Would have been great to have had some table service in the bingo... I'd have spent more for sure! Also, the one thing that was a shame was the bar team packing up before the end... Made it feel I shouldn't drink more! Really enjoyable night though and we will be back.

Great venue with amazing terrace! Attended for Brixton Disco Festival and had a lit time! First dsco event ever went down a treat! With the reasonably priced drinks and full house gospel choir smashing their show, Saturday night was one for the books!

Very nice club with good view of the stage from any point (this was the setting on the 1st floor for "Soul Stripped Sessions", super showcase of female soulful singer songwriters). Also pretty clean venue and discreet security staff. Note: food&liquids from outside are not permitted.

Decent roof terrace serving food and playing music. Nice in good weather. Drinks aren't great and bar staff are mardy. Bouncers seem to have a chip on their shoulder too, looking for a fight. There's an ATM inside and no chewing gum allowed (they take it off you at the door)

The terrace is the best thing about the Prince of Wales. It’s got food, music, bars and a cool canopy area. Always great vibes up here and often you get to see a beautiful sunset. Attracts big names and is in a cool area. Bouncers and door policy are the annoyance as it’s no re-entry and they’re very inflexible.

The parties organised by Rob & Matt ( Up On The Roof & Slide On The Terrace ) that I have attended these past eight years ( the first time 2nd Aug 2009 ) have ALWAYS been the highlight of my clubbing experience in London - it was the first time in five years that I dared to to get 'OUT' of my comfort zone - until then I was obsessed with only going to 'gay' clubs and was quite fearful about how a 'mixed crowd' would react to my obvious sexuality - my fears were completely un-founded. Apart from one tiny insignificant incident ( which had a happy ending ) I have always been so happy here. This is my comfort zone. Over the years there have been changes to the name and layout ( I do miss the hot tub! ) - but not to the formula - that old adage 'if it works don't change it' is so true. This was a review of my first experience in 2009 and still resonates with me in 2017: The event was the first open air at Dex for this year: DEX-CLUB Get-Diverted Terrace Launch Party with Radio Slave This was a review I posted 7 Aug 2009 - & I still love the club! EXTRAORDINARY! - this was recommended by a friend Colin - this lovely guy is one of the few straight m8's I have -but I enjoy getting out of my comfort zone of the gay scene clubs - and Colin knows some amazing 'str8' venues. Living in Brixton for four years Dex was ideal - just 5 min walk away. Well I was not disappointed! - met Colin on Sunday 2nd Aug for the 1pm > 1am slot - the venue is perfect - rooftop - how many clubs offer this! - outdoor bbq - bar - gr8 crowd - and a new dj every 2 hours! - starting with 'minimal' house getting harder later - the crowd was so freindly and lol loads of the girls danced with me - had my arse smacked so many times - usually its guys! - and absolutely no attitude about my sexuality - very friendly staff - OMG one of the bar boys I could not stop drooling over! - OK if the weather is dodgy you can always try the weekend nights - the club also has an indoor room. The music is brill - sorry guys but so many gay scene clubs are all playing same same hard house - well done DEX you got it! Well if you want to try something new - just do it!

Generally, the pub downstairs is very decent. Good atmosphere, good value-for-money, pretty friendly staff overall. There's not a huge amount of seating but it's not cramped either. As far as the rooftop bar, there can be a good night out had up there, particularly in the summer. I would also say there's a genuinely great range of events that take place here throughout the year. It tries and, in many ways, succeeds in catering for most people.

Would just like to start with saying what an amazing experience today was! Let’s start with queuing at the door in the pouring rain and Deon gave us an umbrella. Next we were greeted by Kat who served us throughout the day, with a smile on her face and was just fabulous. Came for the Drag Brunch and had the best time!! All of the staff were so lovely and attentive. The manager (Gary?) was amazing, such a great guy and so kind. The food was incredible and service so quick and efficient. We will definitely be back for more Sunday fun :) Thanks for a fab day.

Flawless experience. Yvonne in Security detail (apologies if spelling is incorrect) went above and beyond with maintaining safety and ensuring a welcoming environment. All staff were aware of COVID procedures and strictly upheld the actions required, but kept it light hearted and jovial. Will return!

Fantastic venue, with the pub on the ground floor through to the club upstairs. The rooftop terrace is considered one of London's finest spaces. Had some great nights here with a great selection of DJs, and friendly crowds. Definitely worth a visit!

A very open, airy bar for trendies. A complete juxtaposition to the hedonistic Imaginarium, a fetish night, that as being held upstairs. Admittedly I did feel out of place. But no one was unfriendly and there were no queues for the bar. Hardly surprising considering the wine tasted like paint stripper!

I was at POW last night, and FYI -- your staff member who has long dark auburn hair, hoop earrings, and horn-rimmed glasses? Whatever you're paying her, you ought to double it. Significantly improved my already pleasant experience, and ran into her later last night helping out a stranger on the street with exactly no expectation of any kind. Amazing rooftop terraces and great music. Went when there was a summer party and special DJs though. Entry was quite expensive, 15£ but well worth it since DJs did not stop until 5am.

Big, traditional pub in the heart of Brixton - feels like a local everyone can drink in. Pretty big to boot, does get very busy at peak times but there'll be times when it's nice and quiet too.

The sun is out and, although it’s only February, I’m starting to look forward, as ever, to the parties up on the roof (and everywhere else). Cracking music, cracking atmosphere, friendly and helpful staff both in the club and in the pub. Guaranteed fun always!

On the weekends the POW turns into the Duck & Egg Cafe, formerly across the street (next door to the Satay bar). We go quite regularly for the full english and omelettes. Always opt in for duck eggs over hen eggs- it's nice to have the choice. Good shout for a lazy morning brunch.

The POW represents the core of coolly über stylish niceness thriving and ripe in Lambeth. Musically, this venue is on trend with cutting edge sounds: house, jazz, breaks, dub, techno, hip hop, reggae, as well as electronica, along with moorish mouthwatering pizzas and The Duck Egg savoury delights to indulge in. Most mights of the week there is always a wild mix of Brixtonians plus, trendy out of townies hanging out, rubbing shoulders together you'll find them down in the POW pub, through to dancing and prancing around at the freshest club nights on the main room floor - also a live comedy space, a concert showcase too. Even up on the roof top there are regular jubilations on the go - what's not to like!

(Translated) Local arranged in 3 floors, 1 internal, 2 external, structured only in a somewhat strange way; music tends to be techno, the lights are not up to the height of the music, the system has treble that hurts the ears and bass that hears little ... People are over 30 years old up to someone old, but nice I would say. I had fun and in the inner room I didn't suffer from cold. (Original) Locale disposto in 3 piani, 1 interno, 2 esterni, strutturato solo in modo un po' strano; musica tendenzialmente techno, le luci non sono non sono all'altezza della musica, l'impianto ha alti che fanno male le orecchie e bassi che si sentono poco... La gente è sopra i 30 anni fino a qualcuno di anziano, ma simpatici direi. Mi sono divertito e nella sala interna non ho patito freddo.

Discovered by chance that I was still going to Tiger Tiger, I came across this box which plays Old school RnB, Hip Hop, Funky, Dancehall sound. perfect it's my style so I go home. there is the first floor with the dance floor and the bar and upstairs the changing rooms and a mini garden with a cozy bar. I had a great evening, the Djs at the top and a great atmosphere, thank you (Original) Je me trompe peut être d endroit mais il me semble que j'ai été à la soirée 90's Party - Brixton Club & Rooftop Party... Donc je disais ...Découvert par hasard que je me rendais encore au Tiger Tiger , je tombe sur cette boite qui passe du son Old school RnB , Hip Hop ,Funky , Dancehall. parfait c est mon style donc je rentre. il y a l'étage avec la piste de danse et le bar et en haut les vestiaires et un mini jardin avec un bar cosy. J'ai passé une excellente soirée, les Djs au top et une ambiance au top , merci
