Great atmosphere, cheap drinks, friendly Security, everybody dancing. OK so it's filthy dirty and the structure of the club is as rough as Old Bob but I didn't go to look at the decorations. Safe place.

Very dark . Very dingy but it also has very cheap drinks. Very cheap. Five pound for a pair of gin and tonics, if I recall correctly, which is not guaranteed. This place only gets busy late, late on in the night so don't go early, or sober. I made those two mistakes and lived to regret it. It is what it is, and what is it? It's the bunker. The last line of defence against the end of the night. It's where to go if you absolutely, positively refuse to stop drinking before the sun comes up. It can be great, depending on the DJ or the crowd, but when it's bad, it can reach deep, dangerous and super-depressing levels of dark.

I can guarantee that you won't find anything like this in East London. Through a non-descript doorway over the road from Deptford High Street and down a short flight of stairs there's a routinely packed dancefloor populated by people from all walks of life. Arts students and South East locals merge seamlessly, the atmosphere is always vibrant and exciting, and people are (refreshingly) there to dance, drink and have fun. The owners run a back-to-basics bar themselves, selling doubles for £2.50 and provide a fantastic platform for new and varied promoters. Go there frequently and you'll get house, techno, garage, afrobeat, grime, jungle, acid jazz, dub, funk, soul, all sorts.
We've been holding all-vinyl parties at the Bunker for over a year now and people regularly tell us how much they enjoy themselves at our nights. The soundsystem has been improved recently and through our E&S DJR400 mixer, the highs are all nice and crisp and the bass packs a punch. It's small and it's humble but we've squeezed 200 people inside concrete-lined walls before, with everybody on their feet dancing. There's just a great buzz about the place - a really raw, honest, energetic vibe that I've never really experienced anywhere else.
The Bunker is often described as 'scuzzy', and it is - therein lies its main appeal. It's meant to be scuzzy and it's great. It's a proper South London night out.
If you want to keep your shoes from getting dirty and you want to hang out with posing, pouting hipsters in Supreme snapbacks and Fjallraven rucksacks then you're probably better off in Hackney Wick anyway.

No-nonsense and no-frills club, friendly atmosphere, very cheap drinks and some good music selection (through good speakers)

Scuzzy maybe, but fun, definately. One of the few remaining genuine underground clubs left in London.

Sick little underground venue. Cheap drinks, but literally no air in there at all.
