Food and service were ok. Nothing special, the peas and mash were nuked and had no flavour. A little bit of cream would go a long way to making the mash taste like something. With a little effort, the food could be much better. It's clear they just nuke everything. For those prices, they should offer better quality food. My wife ordered the chicken wings - no flavour. Thank God they had chopped chilly pieces otherwise the chicken was tasteless. I don't want to be mean, but for those prices, it is disappointing. A little more effort would go a long way.

On the 1st night before the exhibition the Fox was a little quiet, food was brought quick and very tasty On the night of the exhibition the pub was heaving alive. We were still able to get a drink in good time and the security guards we great and not overzealous good people skills used to defuse any drunkenness. Worth a visit.

Handy for the Excel, most of the staff seemed great, although there was one irritable lady who didn't like us pushing tables together, even though the previous night one of the guys working there had offered and done it for us when we said how many people were coming! Ate here three times as it was close to the excel and our hotel, burger was good, but the chicken ceaser salad and sausages and mash seemed like they'd been cooked hours earlier and the meat was rubbery. Slightly weird music choices, drum n bass outside and older music inside.

It's a fine large warehouse pub, ideal for handling traffic from all the exhibitions held in the centre next door. A fair selection of lagers and ciders but nothing appeared to be available on cask when I was here. Staff are friendly and helpful. All in all a fun kind of place. Not a place where you are likely to be on your own for very long!

The closest bar to the ExCel by far. Was here for Comic Con and it became an absolute madhouse with cosplayers and furries and the like. I'm sure it's not as slammed for other conferences, but wow. Staff worked hard pumping out the drinks. Good times were had by all, I reckon.

Was watching the triathlon so came here after it finished, along with everyone else it seemed. Haven’t been to the venue in years amd looks as though it’s had a nice refurbishment. The place was packed so we waited a fair bit on food but must say it was worth it. Food was amazing, much better than before. Although staff were run off their feet dealing with the sudden influx of 500 people trying to escape the rain, they were all friendly and helpful. I’ll def be back

Despite being almost empty the waitress was having to run around to look after the tables outside where most people were sitting as she seemed to be the only one who knew what she was doing. I was served by an inexperienced barman who asked the lovely waitress how to make the cosmo I'd just ordered. She immediately replied that she would make it. If it wasn't for her, my experience would have been a very negative one especially as the barman had overcharged me. She deserves a medal for all the hard work and passion she puts into her job. Didn't get her name but I went today around 8pm and she has dark hair. My cosmo was quite possibly the best I've had in a long long time. And she smiled throughout despite being under pressure

Place where it's traditional to have a refreshing pint after a long day of walking around an event at the adjacent excel centre. Unsurprisingly it can get a little busy and perhaps isn't the most refined venue around, but it's a good spot to chill out and relax with friends.

It's a typical British pub with sticky floors and sticky carpets, smell of alcohol and standard pub menu. But food and drinks are cheaper and served faster than inside Excel. So if you are looking for value for money and quick food this is your place. We ordered chips and soft drinks. It was prepared quickly, food was tasty and low priced. Staff serving us were nice and friendly.

It's a well known place to meet up with people. Food is good despite some of the prices. Convenient to have access to a Starbucks coffee upstairs.

First the positives. Good quality beer and a clean and tidy environment. Felt like a sports bar with the number of TV screens making viewing a match easy regardless of seating position. Unfortunately though on my visit it was very understaffed. Both visits to the bar took over 20min to get served simply because the 2 bar tenders were run off their feet. Gave up on ordering food and went elsewhere where it was just as busy but well staffed.

No servers means going to the bar to order everything... which didn't work out for me - ate half my steak pie, went to the bar to get a beer and came back to a clean table... someone cleared my dinner before I finished ! Came across this bar/restaurant while looking for a place to eat with a friend, had never heard of it or seen it before however I can happily say I had a really pleasant experience. The atmosphere of this place is great, it's very vibrant and a really cool place for a group of friends to meet up and have a drink or 2. The service was simple, straight forward, quick and polite, the food was lovely, I would absolutely recommend the Fox Club Sandwich. I will definitely be visiting again sometime.

I was rather disappointed with my visit. I need not say anymore...but I will. The atmosphere was quiet, but rather dim and my arms were absolutely perishing from the cold. While high prices usually are not an issue for me, I felt they were absolutely extortionate for what I was paying for. The children's portions were meager, my young ones were utterly unimpressed, as was I. My daughter and granddaughter are growing girls and they need appropriate amounts of food. I would have left this place on a two, however my meal was adequate and the service was friendly enough. That could have pushed it to a four, had the ketchup bottle not exploded over my daughter's lap. All in all, it was an average experience.

Nice spot for a quiet couple with the team after a day at EcXeL. They have good dietary options & labelling. (One of the few places I’ve seen with a separate vegan menu.) Flat access to the main bar, and lots of room to move a wheelchair around once through the door. There are steps up the the gendered bathrooms, though I’ve never asked the staff if there is an accessible bathroom off the main floor.

I decided to treat my sister to brunch at the Fox at Excel; surprised to find that the bartender crushes her own ice for mojitos (my sisters drink of choice), as well as it being delicious! The bartender, Ralitsa, also offered to bring our drinks to our table because they take a little while to make which was veg sweet as it allowed us to sit and catch up rather than have me standing at the bar. She definitely made our brunch more enjoyable!! The food was amazing and the staff were very friendly, definitely coming back as well as it being so close to where we live and a very chilled atmosphere.

Nice pub to have a break from the exhibitions at the Excel Centre. A good range of beers (including some that you don't see every day) and the food is not bad. I think the prices are a tick high, but appreciate that they are normal for the location. A good choice if you want to meet up with a customer during an exhibition, or wind down with colleagues after the event.

We were at an exhibition. Came for lunch. Had great burger and chips. Club sandwich and fish and chips. The service was good and the food was very good . We sat in the annex room which was quiet and warm and out of the noise of the large TV with football on (not my thing) so this venue offers it all for everyone with an outdoor sitting area.. Deffo come back as and when. Thanks guys .

Convenient, predictable and no fuss wine bar that delivers exactly what it promises. Your usual beverages on tap, sitting and standing options, and close to the excel - it's a decent choice for conference goers who are looking for the easy option.

A characterless open barn of a pub, probably best suited for groups getting together after events at the Excel. The drinks range is uninspiring, and the food is standard pub faire (but tasty and a good size). Prices were not unreasonable (for London). Not really my kind of venue, but certainly okay, professional and well suited to the area's needs.

I had breakfast here this morning it was the best breakfast I have had for a long time. Everything I had was excellent and at a good price too. 2 pouch eggs 2 bacon and toast was £4.85 I eithen exchanged one of the eggs for a sausage at the same price. I added on tomato for a extra £1 it was well worth the money. Well done keep up the good breakfast and see you next week. I dont understand why people are saying the food is not good I say try it your self you will not be disappointed.

I like the Fox, it's a big place, but the prices are not absurd, there are a decent number of staff serving so the wait isn't that bad even when it's quite full, and there is ample space to sit outside if the weather is nice or you have smokers in the group. Given its closeness to the convention spaces, its a good place to retire to after the day's business.

Attended Comic con May 2018 here and loved the event. This bar is a great meet up for nights out with two DJs, one who plays K-Pop for about an hour and a mainstream DJ, during Comic Con events. Also has an outside area for sitting, chatting, smoking etc.

It isn't very clean and the toilets aren't near the conference area, not even on the same floor. Every time you need to go you waste around 15 minutes which means you may miss a session. Auditoriums are "build" with curtains that don't go all the way up to the roof so there is a lot of background noise and it's hard to hear the speakers or focus on the talks

The party I went to here after MCM comic con was fun enough (due to spending it with my friends) the bar itself did nothing to try to make it enioyable- they were very rude and the DJ refused to play any song that anyone requested which ruined it a bit. I also left an item from my cosplay costume that I wanted back.. I have messaged them to ask if they still have it so I can find a way to get it back. They read my message and chose to not bother responding. Since it was closing when we left I know it is still there- They really need to work on their communication skills because stuff like this is why a lot of people avoid going here.

Nice bar by Excel conference place. The choice of beers is a bit disappointing, they don't have many ales. Still, it is a nice place to meet and networking, lots of space inside and outside, sports was projected on the many screens.

I had a steak dinner and it was good enough. The staff are friendly and the place is welcoming. PROBABLY won't be to the taste of most of the Dockland locals but I think it's the best place around this side of the docklands.. Give it a try....

It's a nice bar but staff seems to think that once all customers are served then that's their job done. I found not just one but three members of staff standing behind the bar with no customers. I thought that staff would interact with customers but just found them standing there behind the bar.

Nothing special about this bar. It is close to Excel and does serve food. During expo time the place is overrun with folks, but I guess that is it's only function. I could not see myself go here for a night out, there just are more pubs with character in London.

This bar is pretty much the unofficial ExCel bar. It's next door to the complex and is perfect for post-show drinks. A lack of craft beer may not sit well with some, but a plentiful pub menu and space for watching sports are both plus points. Recommended if you're around for MCM Comic Con. I'm saying no more :P

This is particularly well located if you're at the ExCeL, and has a reasonable selection of food available for a good price. The whole place has a Wetherspoon feeling to it, and we found the upstairs to be totally different in atmosphere to downstairs - downstairs was dark and had a grungy-pub feel; upstairs was much brighter and more pleasant.

Quite late on a Sunday evening we were looking for somewhere around Excel to have coffees and desert... and The Fox at Excel happened to be the place which was open, had exactly what we wanted, with plenty of comfortable seating spaces, relaxing atmosphere, good low background music, and friendly staff with good sense of humor :) Cheesecake was superb!
