A cool venue with great music and the musicians make a great atmosphere. Guests can request music to be played by submitting their choice to the musicians. Brilliant. Very talented bunch. The venue is deceivingly large with couple of drinks bars and private area. Dining there will be noisy so don’t expect an nice convo over the music and singing. The toilets while needing maintenance upgrade is rather clean for such a busy venue. Drink prices are what’s expected from central London. The draw here is the music and the musicians.

SUCH a fun bottomless brunch locale!! Loved the music the singers and musicians were amazing! Mojitos in a bottomless, unheard of and service was the best I’ve ever had at a bottomless! Loved
F. B.
Incredible food, drinks and music! The only downside was as it got busier you HAD to provide a tip to get your song chosen causing some people to tip £10+ per song. However, the live band were amazing and I would still highly recommend Piano Works for a night out.
W. B.
Fun, fun, fun. We went on a Friday night, arriving around 10, and probably regret not getting there a bit earlier.
The band were fantastic and take requests via Twitter (I think). The music varies straddling the decades of popular music ensures that everyone is having great vibes.
Drinks were... Competitive London prices

Great atmosphere! A group of 6 of us went for the 5pm sitting and had the two course meal and bottomless drinks. Food was good and service was amazing! We were looked after by Fil who was very attentive, had a great sense of humour and made us feel like a priority for the 2 hour sitting.
Would definitely return!
P. S.
A group of us (60 ppl) went there to celebrate a birthday party on a Tuesday night and what a blast we had. The music was fabulous and the drinks were flowing. Happy Hour from 7-11 pm for cocktails. Recommend for a fun night out.

Absolutely love this venue, the live music and requesting is the best. The staff are absolutely brilliant and the drinks are amazing. It’s a little bit pricey but totally worth it. The music is so good!
C. S.
Visited here when staying in London. Service was amazing. We were served by Tawana. She made sure our drinks were topped up throughout our bottomless drinks package. Food was lovely and the live music made the evening even more enjoyable and a great atmosphere! Would definitely return!

What a fantastic place! We had such a great night here on Saturday. A fantastic atmosphere and the musicians were brilliant and great fun. I'd read the negative review below, so was nervous, but whatever teething problems they had weren't evident.
We had an extremely attentive server who made sure we had everything we needed and checked on us regularly. Everyone was extremely professional and friendly.
My wife went for the bottomless fizz option for drinks and I was worried refills might take a while to arrive - but he came by and topped up well before she ever had an empty glass. The included pink sparkling wine was really good.
Both our meals were also great, perfectly cooked and loads of flavour.
I wish we lived closer as we'd become regulars!

A wonderful place to visit.
Love their live music bands.
What I didn't like - You need to pay 2 pounds to keep your coats in their storage after paying a 15 pounds entry fee on a weekend
The queue was looonngggg and very slow moving and the bouncers weren't managing it well.
The DJ playing after the live music was terrible and was a little too loud.

Had a great evening and really loved the band (the whole concept is amazing). Particularly impressed by quality of the drinks especially. the cocktails. The only reason I gave it 5 not 6 stars are that the door staff are just plain rude.
G. P.
Thoroughly enjoyed our work night out, and will definitely be going back with friends sometime soon.
Fantastic band, good selection of drinks and food, intimate but spacious venue and a brilliant vibe.
This is a great place for a night out in London. Easy to get to and open late!
L. C.
Absolutely loved this place. Music, atmosphere and food were amazing and we had a great night. A big shout out to safiye who was our waitress....she was very efficient, kind and looked out for us all night. Couldn't have asked for a better evening.
S. L.
Great happy hour and weekly specials, great music and amazing vibes. Love this place will definitely return.

This venue is actually amazing.
We wanted to go there very spontaneously and Jason (the head doorman) welcomed us in the best possible way!!
He told us exactly what we could expect and it was just how he described it.
A nice welcoming vibe!!
Big shoutout to the staff and Jason:)

This place is good but something isn’t quite right.
If you’re a party goer, diner, group event, looking for fun then you should check it out. The concept is excellent and so are the musicians and indeed our waitress. Set menu nice too, fish plate a bit light versus the steak and chips though so think more about the low-meat /fish eater consumer.
But, why all the security? Gives you the feeling you’re in a place where jt might all get nasty. I can’t believe that it would/could, but that’s the feeling. ‘Security’ marked personnel, ID checks at the door, staff wearing body-cams. It’s odd and it shouldn’t be that way. Treat us like respectable paying adults please.

Heaving place with whatever you like" musicians very talented" secrurity on point" staff very sharp and polite" food oustanding" what an atmosphere, this place is a must go central London fun fun fun"
J. D.
Booked a table of 20 from 6pm and had a fantastic night however one of the party members couldn't arrive until 9pm and was charged £15 for entry. Seemed to tarnish the night given that the rest of the party had arrived at the booked time and collectively a lot of money was spent. Emailed to discuss this but staff were simply saying "please read the T&Cs". This makes sense but a level of common sense should have been used IMO given the other factors.
E. B.
Great night out! We went for the bottomless option which worked out to be a great deal. Music was awesome, we got so many of our requests played. Fil our waitress was SO attentive, always had a smile on her face and made our night even more fun. Thank you Fil!
C. G.
My favorite place to go out in London!! Always a great time, the band is fantastic and the staff are all very professional and friendly. Have had visitors come to London and always take them here, it is always a great hit and everyone always loves it, definitely recommend! Special message to Ridi from whom I received great and friendly service at the bar! Can't wait to come back
e. s.
£50 for two courses and free flowing booze.. Happy days! The food wasn't great but you can't expect much for the price. The service was good as was the atmosphere. The band are a live jukebox but unless you add a big tip to your request you are not going to hear any of your requests.
F. G.
Amazing night!!!! Had a blast and it was great to be assisted by Gabriel the Viking security and also Kuba at the place! My friend were mega drunk and he was very polite to us and lead us out of the place perfectly! Cheers!!! I would love to have all the security at my restaurant in Trafalgar Square for a round! Alohabrazilian! 🤗
M. F.
Great atmosphere, I was so impressed with the range of the musicians and singers. Friendly and polite bouncers, multiple bars with efficient service, thorough covid pass and ID check.
K. G.
Great night! Live music was great! They sung all requests, was a great atmosphere. Tuesday happy hour all night, 2-4-1 cocktails which was great! They do loads of offers throughout the week. Lots of singing and dancing later on the night, was an unexpected fun night.
F. A.
Nice place for a fun night out.
We dropped last minute without planning as was in area at 7pm on Thursday.
Proper check up with plenty of security at gate and inside.
Coats dropped (£2 per item) at entrance.
Place already fairly busy with mostly young crowd.
Good friendly service at bar despite being busy. Still.. chatty and welcoming.
Drinks are pricey as can be expected in central local places. Plenty of special offers that you should take advantage of (or expect to clear over £6/pint).
Food was fine. Nothing too fancy but we did not come here for the food so no complaints.
Early in the evening team of 2 working the pianos. Too quite above noisy crowd at this point. After 8 the party starts with band members joining (bass, guitar, drums, sax) and the magic starts. Requests (tips driven) are pushed and the jukebox band performs.
Some covers are great some are absolutely slaughtered but by then the drinks and dancing are full on.
Couple of ours later you will stagger out with ringing ears, smiling with a slightly lighter wallet. Everyone happy.
E. H.
A quality place! I’ve come here for several birthday celebrations and nights out. Really enjoyable evening. Good food and drinks and the live music is amazing every time. I’d totally recommend this place!
C. F.
Popped in for a quick drink after work. I think to get the best experience you should book a table in advance. The bar have pianists/vocalists and sometimes a live support band too. Their gimmick is that they will play whatever is requested. Each table has a stack of request cards and the guests write down the song they want played. The pianists/vocalists/band will play it.
K. G.
We had a fantastic visit and particularly because of Niko who was so welcoming and attentive and enthusiastic. We loved him and we loved the experience! Would visit again, highly recommend.
G. M.
Great music and concept. Very nice drinks and lovely staff, from the writers to bartenders to security. Can't wait to go back!
N. J.
Great evening, great atmosphere. All music is requests so something for absolutely everyone! Everyone has their own seating area but also plenty of room for dancing and mingling. Also loved the photo booth & also a very short walk to the station so easy to get to and from.
D. H.
Fabulous place...wonderful food, amazing atmosphere!!! The band were brilliant, played everyone's requests, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Definitely coming back!!!! The staff were also great, got us a taxi at the end of the night 🌙 😀
H. K.
Me and my friends booked a big table for 20 people and when we were all dancing, we came back to our table and found that all our jackets were removed from the table and were taken the lost section. I didn’t really like this action as we were putting our jackets on our table and the staff were forcing us to put them in the clock room to pay extra money.
L. H.
An amazing venue, the security team I couldn't fault from entrance to the venue right through to leaving. One security was amazing, I believe his name was Zorro. He was fun fabulous and a great dancer.
M. P.
Had the best time here! Our server Jada went above and beyond to make the experience wonderful and was super lovely. Will definitely be coming back!
C. B.
Fun night with friends, good to be able to go out again and enjoy myself and this place is lots of fun. The band is always fantastic, you can request music to them and they'll play it. Drinks are nice too, but a bit expensive which is expected in a place like this
G. K.
Really good music, food and service. The only downside is that they place many diner tables too far from the stage, where you have no visibility of the band at all. Some diner tables for 2 are also too close to each other, almost sitting together (not much privacy for a conversation, for example). That bothered us a bit specially during this pandemic period. Apart from that, great vibe for a weekday!
T. W.
We went for a Xmas lunch with a group of 7 of us from work. Atmosphere good, piano excellent and food was absolutely amazing for the price paid. Beautiful steak and Xmas pudding! We will be returning again.
N. A.
Such a fun night out! The musicians are always phenomenal & best vibe. Also happy hour is great.
S. B.
Very less seats with the live performance view . Only big groups get those seats. Also , we specifically asked during booking if the seats are going to be with the view , person on phone told us that it depends but after going there it was very clear that couple seats and specially if you are booking at the last moment(one day before) , will not be the with the view. We were seated in another direction and it felt like being seated in a restaurant with music in background. Music and vibe was good but only if booked way in advance and with a bigger group.
D. S.
Weird place. Full of young people but playing muzak versions of boring bands from the 70's and 80's. And once happy hour finishes the drinks are insanely expensive. Despite this, I quite enjoyed myself
N. K.
Such a great night. Totally recommend The Piano Works. Great atmosphere. I'll definitely be going back 👍❤️
A. F.
I love this place because of the live band. However, this last time I went they played Angels by Robbie Williams at least twice because someone tipped and they never played the songs I requested.
Good vibes though. Love the photobooth and the man with the aftershaves, he is good bants
J. D.
Good selection of music. Decent bar, security were okay. All in all its a nice venue. Not sure how expensive it is and on friday and Saturday I imagine it would be heaving.
G. B.
Great fun with brilliant performers on the stage. I went with a friend on a Monday and we both enjoyed the happy hour drinks deals, the pre theatre menu, music and atmosphere. The ability to submit requests was a great bit of fun too! Check out their website for a free cocktail during happy hour!
O. T.
Amazing band, tasty food and overall pleasant vibe for the evening. Will hopefully come again!
D. N.
Really great night! The food was good quality and the cocktails were very nice, especially with the reduced happy hour prices.
A. E.
Wasn't very jazzy. The band was trying too hard. Rapping to ni**as in Paris with a saxophone isn't innovative and played too many slow Ballard's. Food and bottomless was good.
L. D.
Visited this place after another party, good music with quite a well dressed crowd. I left around 3AM with folks still rocking the dance floor!
R. W.
Wow wow wow what talented musicians! I don't know if I've ever been in another bar where deep into the evening people actually stop conversation to listen to the musicians, they're distractingly brilliant.
D. G.
Great band, decent service and great vibe. Moment i heard James brown and Prince tunes live, I was a very happy camper!
D. T.
Great spot! Well made cocktails, very very lively - even at half 7 on a Saturday evening.
Z. S.
Not usually a fan of live music but had a really great time here. It does get a little packed making it quite hard to dance without having people walking past constantly but the band are amazing! Very talented and really enjoyed the night there! They take requests, just write it on a napkin and give to a member of staff. If you had a £5/£10 you're more likely to have your song played! They played some great classics. Would love to come back perhaps when less busy as the concept is great.
G. R.
Brilliant evening, incredibly talented band and singers, all the staff were polite and helpful, the food was lovely. It is a very well run venue.
C. T.
The music choice by the live bands are great and the vibe inside is always amazing. Drinks aren't too badly priced.
C.
First time to London to listening live music, but... Feels likes bed time music, I ordered the most expensive red wine in the list, actually is only 58£, I think this is not the high level bar, not many People when I'm coming, I sat after 20 mins I feel wanna go to sleep.
This pair of musicians players,, actually is so boring, can't bring the customers get high, to be honest I almost fell asleep, they don't have any intersection with customers, can't feel they were enjoying to play a piano and singing 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶😢
P. L.
This place is special and amazing place. There are no djs, just a really talented band, smashing all the greatest hits, and on request. Great vibes here, large dance floor, but there are areas to sit and chat. I can see why so many people book here for birthdays and partys. Bouncers and staff was nice for a change, that added to the experience. Overall easily one of the top bar/ nights out I have had in a long time.
A. S. I.
Take my review as a dinner guest: it felt a bit odd to be having a meal in a place with such loud music, in close proximity to a dance floor! To be honest it felt like having a meal in the middle of a club which was super awkward. The staff were super nice but the music was way too loud and people kept bumping into us. As a venue for a night out I'm sure it's a great time, but don't go for dinner.
A. L.
Loud and proud, great atmosphere and excellent cocktails. Food good but it's not a restaurant destination - go for the music. And get involved! It's great when they play your song :)
F. G.
If you are looking for a live music bar but doesn't mind the play list this could be the place. The band (on NO stop) plays whatever the public requests. I wasn't very impressed when I heard them singing to Frozen sound track "Let it go". The happy hour between 5pm to 7pm really worth as it's an upper price type of bar, so prepare your wallet. Despite my attempt to try the food menu I wasn't able to order any food because I didn't have a table reservation.
At the bar I asked for a whisky sour cocktail but the bar tender didn't know what it was. So I pointed at the caipirinha on the cocktail menu and she asked me if I wanted it with whisky... Just to make it clear you can't make caipirinha with whisky!!! Yes I was worried about my cocktail order but it OK after all.
I am sure that this place will be 5 stars to some people but unfortunately I was let down as I had high expectations.
y. a.
Super nice place and vibe ! Thanks also to the staff specially Yacine and Saf who where super kind and welcoming will for sure come often there with my friends !
E. J. A.
Lovely Vibe, Band is amazing. They play maily requests. Cocktails are good, seating is cosy. Didn't buy food but was eyeing someone else's din and it looked pretty good 😂.
4stars cos the lovely barlady took 7 minutes to make 2 cocktails. She was pleasant though.
Will definitely visit again
F. S.
A great place for a night out with friends or when you are feeling like singing/dancing! From reservation time to when we left the place, our experience was A+! Food (vegan and vegetarian options available) was good, drinks were nice, our waitress Elizabeth was simply lovely and helpful! We are going back for sure, I would recommend this place!
F.
Yahcine was the best. He was very polite ane respectful and we had a fantastic night. Would highly recommend.
B.
Great band, that you can tell they really enjoy what they do. Amazing atmosphere, food and drinks
J. A.
Really good experience. The live band is impressive with the range of songs they can perform.
J. B.
A great bar for celebration! Good drinks and a fantastic band. The queue at the bar is pretty insane, but there is table service as well. If you are requesting a song, be sure to include a cash tip. This will prioritize the request to the top of the list!
R. R.
Been going here since before covid and the live music is matched by no other place! Can be a bit pricey but if you look at the menu before you go, then at least you know what you’re in for!
C. G.
Great atmosphere with live music and lots of different seating areas / bars to explore.
M. M.
Great value on Tuesdays and the versatility of the set list appealed to several different generations of people. Service staff was lovely!
L. M.
Had a lovely evening here yesterday. The band were incredible and the atmosphere was great. Our waitress, Nayana, was really friendly, attentive and polite. We will be back soon!
D. V.
Very nice club atmosphere, talented live band, friendly staff.
N. W.
Great night at Pianoworks for my best friends Hen, there seemed to be a lot! It got quite rowdy but bouncers were on hand to quickly gain control of situations which made us feel very safe! Special shout out to Evelina (sorry if the spelling isn’t right), who waited to help us get a photo taken in the booth and who was really lovely to talk to. You’ll be in very safe hands at a night at Pianoworks.
W. F.
Great live music, lovely staff, especially Jason, who gives bouncers a good name.
S. L.
Excuisite atmosphere, live music and great food. I visit the place twice a month, really enjoyable.
M. S.
The booking process was quite complicated. Even I booked more than 3 weeks in advance, I feel I have to constantly manage it with all the rules, T&Cs, pre-order, change of timings and people into the order. I wish it was much simpler and I didn't need to spend so much time managing the order. To be fair, this is just another music venue which is something that is ubiquitous in a place like London, but all the booking process feels like this is a 'big venue' or a 5-star hotel reservation to manage.
On the day, maybe it's just me not having been out to a club venue for a long time, but the queuing process before getting into the venue is not very pleasant. We were 'verbally' shoved into the queue and the general attitude of the guards/staff were quite harsh and rude, making me feel like we were criminals listening to orders rather than being the customers. Again, this makes me feel like we're getting into the Oscars ceremony which this is not, and there're tons of other music venues I could have gone with the feeling of being a valued customer.
The food is so-so and overpriced. We were sat on the side of the stage so could only see the back of the drummer and could barely see the vocalist. The band performance is amazing though.
All in all, I think the music lives up to the expectations for this venue, but it needs to work harder on their Customer Service and booking process, and stop acting like 'we are The Piano Works so you need to do this, this and this.'
D. B.
OMFG. What a cracking bit of fun! Live music, duelling pianos, dancing, singing and jagerbombs. A cracking mix people having fun.
D. D.
Amazing atmosphere, music, drinks and staff; I also love how balanced the sound is and even though it is a constant live concert you can still speak with your friends without having to scream even at 3 meters from the stage, yet loud enough to enjoy the experience. The prices are normal, too. It's definitely going to be one of my regular go-out places.
C. J.
Waited a while in the queue to get in, would recommend getting on to the guest list so you're not hanging around!
Well worth the wait when we go in, went as a group of six, it was quite crammed in there at first, especially with the tables of people from just having their food. Once the tables were removed, plenty more room to move around and the music and band were amazing! They put their own twist on each song played!
Would come back here in a heart beat!
C. T.
A random spontaneous night out led me to Piano Works in Farringdon - and probably one of my most memorable evenings in London! There was a bit of a line to get in, but we got in rather quickly and were treated to a great vibe and atmosphere! Despite being crowded, we were able to move around quite easily and enjoy the most fantastic band, and even get our requests played! One note, though - the floor is extremely sticky! (But what good nightspot doesn't have a floor with some spilled drinks here and there?)
S. P.
Went to The Piano Works tonight based on reading about it on the Evening Standards website under the Top 50 London Bars. I booked a drinks table online the night before and we were seated right next to the stage when we arrived. It was reasonably lively at 7pm when we arrived although not as busy as I can imagine that it gets at the weekend. We had a couple of cocktails and requested a few songs for the pianists to play which was incredibly easy using the napkins. The staff were very helpful although you could see that they were incredibly busy. We ordered food at about 8:30pm and, although they didn't have what we wanted (8 mini burgers), we had the chicken and steak rolls with chips which was amazing. We had planned to go off and visit other bars during our night out but we had such a great time at The Piano Works that we decided to stay until we had to leave to catch our last train at 10:30pm. I would definitely recommend this bar to anyone looking for something a little above the ordinary in London.
f. a.
Such a great night. Band was amazing. The service could have been better but as we were there to dance it didnt really matter.
F. B.
It's ok but the music was way too loud to even enjoy the evening, lost my voice from speaking so loud. Food was great though.
h. p.
Yacine was amazingl tonight… I lost my phone and he was so helpful in locating it. So grateful. Thank you so much yacine! Much love 😘
P.
The mood is perfect. The staff is amazing . The people are very nice. The music is ON POINT.
BEST BIRTHDAY EVER

REVIEW UPDATE:
Ok so we went to have dinner on Saturday at 5pm. We also got the £5 cockerel deal, I just want to say that our server ELI WAS AMAZINGGGGGG! She honestly went out of her way to make us feel well served and gave us THE BEST CUSTOMER SERVICE I have received in London. Again I truly love this place! THANKS ELI FOR A FANTASTIC DINNER! <3
Original review:
Omg this is the first bar a truly love in London! Live music but really good music!! The drinks are pricey on the weekend - around £15 for a single.
C. K.
Come in and discover heaven on Earth.
Wow!!
Exceptional cuisine
If I lived here, I'd come here on a regular basis because everything looked so good!!
When I return home, I will miss this place.
m.
Live music along with great service was amazing. The piano players and other musicians were brilliant.
S. M.
We had our Christmas party here, food is very very average and the quality of the cocktails is not good neither, only good side is the music and the friendly staff!
R. K.
Wicked awesome, very hectic but a great atmosphere, love it
W. G.
Great place to go with friends. Went to the bottomless brunch and was great fun
A. K.
Trendy place near Farringdon station, a bit pricier than your usual night out but is expected of a place like this. They have a piano and band in the centre playing really great music and over the night it gets louder and people really get into the dancing mood. Not recommended as a place for a quiet conversation!
F. F.
Music was quite tame at the beginning but got quite exciting as time went by. Full band in the end, great atmosphere, fantastic old fashioned!
W. D.
A family favourite, we visit often and always an amazing service, the best music played by talented musicians and good food and drinks
Cannot recommend Piano Works enough, 100% spot on every time!
S. H.
Live music very good food good stuff very good security very good and Yacine door man is really good man thanks very much i come again
T. H.
Very fun place in Farringdon, filled with live music and a lively atmosphere. The centre stage is packed with musicians and the drinks are free flowing.
O. S.
Such a great venue! With great live music and service!
L. D.
Yaline and Lucious from the security have been really helpful and nice!
R. K.
We did the all you can drink prosecco event with the request a song from the piano player and later band. It is difficult to find any fault at all, the drinks are continually topped up
the music is great fun and the food is excellent. Expect a headache next day though.
S. B.
The music was great, but the cocktails extremely lacking.
A. P.
shout out Saf and Yahciwe! We had a great time. Great music!
J. P.
Live music was insane.... the vibe here was electric and lots of fun was had. 5/5
C. S.
Fantastic night out, so much fun and the meal was superb too
D. P.
Great place to enjoy live music while you celebrate with your friends... musicians are very professionals! It is hard to get a seat, so better if you book a table in advance.
A. R.
Good food, great music though our suggestions never ended up being played and was a difficult one to book. A good night out overall.
J. W.
Young un's sort of place but the concept is great (song requests to the band) and the place was rocking
B.
Great night out if you like live music performed by some very talented people. It's London so the drinks are mortgage worthy but the measures seem larger than the average. Good friendly vibe and the staff are great. The rib eye was fantastic. Bit of a queue for the coat room when you leave and if you have sensitive ears you'll regret not bringing some ear plugs as it very loud when things get going.
H. B.
I had a great night here! The staff are friendly and provided a great service. Good food and drinks that are also reasonably priced. The live music was my favourite part. Awesome band that you can make requests to. Came on a monday which was fairly quiet, definitely want to come back again preferably on the weekend!
K. S.
Excellent night out with work colleagues, busy with good live bands
A. P.
Love the food and music, shame about not being able to eve half stand up at the table. I understand not mixing with other tables, but not being able to lean across the table to talk to our own party despite being within government guidelines is a bit ridiculous. Otherwise, its awesome
H. J.
Good fun - bit expensive - reliant on how good the taste of the audience's music is!
A. f. t. M.
Great food, fantastic atmosphere, outstanding musicians. Perfect night out for any music lover
S. V.
Amazing music! Great vibes and dance floors and bar! 👏
K. A.
Piano works can do no wrong. Great cocktails, great happy hour, great food, great MUSIC! I want to come back to London just to come back! I'm visiting from the US and my coworkers brought me here because I love live music. I'd highly highly recommend. I hear you need a reservation, and it's more low-key on weeknights but packed on weekends.
S. W.
Great place for after work drinks for a celebration. The live band were really great and what makes this venue unique.
You have to book spaces and table in advanced.
You have to book ahead for both
For free tables they will be small tables just to hold your drinks not seating sections
Great atmosphere
Happy hour drinks and food are good
Order the nibbles rather than platters you get more food for your money
Its gets really busy and there is security everywhere that are friendly and vigilant and fair. Aggressive or extreme drunk behaviour is not tolerated so felt safe.
E. T.
Went for bottomless brunch and was one of the best I've been to in London. Great ambience, live music, food. Staff friendly and fun. Would highly recommend
A. B.
3rd time here and fun as always! We celebrated a friend's birthday and booked a table - would definitely recommend doing this so you get free quick entry skipping the queue and, well, have a table. Great live music, lively atmosphere with people dancing and singing along to the songs. Drinks are on the pricey side but nothing outrageous, just as expected from an establishment like this. Also they do really good cocktails.
N. K.
Great atmosphere, food isn't all that but the vibes are everything!
V. S.
Very very crowded, and prices are on the high side. The only good thing for me was the live band.
K. R.
Loved it here! It wasn't too busy on a Thursday evening so room to dance and walk about. Love that you can request songs and it's so nice when your song is played and then you can see everyone else enjoying it. Make sure to send a tip with your request to get it played quickly!! Talented musicians to be able to play any song requested. Drinks are pricey but they do deals throughout the week so get in when they have a deal on.
L. F.
We enjoyed our two hours at the Piano Works, having paid for the two hour bottomless brunch. Mauricio was an excellent waiter, and ensured that our glasses were always full. He was attentive and enjoyed interacting with us customers which was nice. In fact, all of the staff were faultless and worked so hard to uphold an excellent standard of customer service. However, there were a couple of things that caused it, in my opinion, to lose the fifth star for my review.
The food itself was okay, but nothing unique. It was the standard variety of eggs followed by pancakes or waffles, accompanied by one drink of your choice for the whole night (which was a little annoying that you couldn't mix and match drinks). However, the drinks kept flowing sufficiently and the food came out in good time. We can't fault what we got.
The music was good but seeing as our table was right next to the speaker and they were in the middle of the room, it was just a tad loud, and you couldn't even hear the waiters speak, let alone other members of your party. We did expect the loudness, but not to the point where the waiters were having to mime stuff of write things down so we could understand them. We also were a little annoyed that requests would only be played by the band if you gave them a tip also, and not a single one of our 16 song requests got played. We did continue to tip in hopes that just one of our songs would get paid but they didn't do any of them in the end (despite the emphasis on making song requests that the establishment strongly encouraged). The musicians were good, very talented and very versatile, but I think it was just a little bit of a shame that they played the requests for only the large parties in the corner rather than everyone.
Décor was okay, but nothing spectacular. I think it was going for "shabby chic" with the whole look but it wasn't quite to my taste. However, the place was clean and the staff worked hard to help customers out.
Personally, I'd have moved tables slightly further away so you aren't being kicked by people that are dancing by the stage, and to allow people a bit of room as it was a tad cramped. As previously stated, the band were very good and very versatile but I'd recommend tipping the bands quite high if you want your request played.
Overall, we had a great time. Staff were great and they tried to ensure we got what we paid for. It's just a shame about the very small negatives, otherwise this would have been a definite 5*.

Really enjoyable evening. Food was surprisingly good (not expected) although not exactly cheap. The live music was really good but it's a spin of a roulette whether you long the songs or not as it's all done through customer requests. None of our requests were played which was a big shame. Dance floor was crowded. Expect queues if you dont have a dinner reservation !

Fantastic experience for bottomless brunch. The band were incredible and the server, Fabio was very attentive.

I rarely write reviews but the customer service my friend & I received at the club (26.10) was exceptional. A rarity for London.
Firstly, I was accidentally double charged for using the cloakroom. The manager promptly refunded me in cash.
Later, my friend & I were in the smaller piano bar and trying to buy discounted drinks (included as part of an online ticket we bought), however, we hadn't been given the wristbands. After confirming with her manager, the bartender, Amie, was really patient and helpful, accepting our proof of purchase and serving us the discounted drinks.
A great night out with friendly staff, management and a good crowd. Highly recommended.

The place was good and the atmosphere was lively and good fun. I suspect that the band have their selection of songs that they play and when this aligns with what has been requested you get a shout out...maybe I'm just surprised my bosa nova version of an obscure drum and bass track. The food was pretty decent but the service was slow and due to this we didn't get to have dessert. In fact our waiter told us there was no time left and we had to vacate our table which I thought was a bit poor. I would go back, but with lower expectations and a more realistic song choice.

Always a fun night out, with loads of people enjoying themselves. The band was on form as usual, creating a good spirited party atmosphere. Drinks service from table waiting staff was awful though, with one member of staff outright ignoring me tapping her on the shoulder to place an order, another took my order and never returned with it. Service at the bars was very slow as well. For some reason bags are free in the cloakroom but not coats?! Overall it's a great night out, but be prepared for a long wait on drinks.

Really good entertainment here. Reason for only 3 stars? Prices a bit steep £15.00 a cocktail! Happy hour ( not so happy) drinks not that nice. When it's busy there's no where to stand / learn or put your bag. You really do need to book a space to sit. Still v good vocalists though.
R. S.
I can see why it's so popular, but it's popularity is also the problem! Live music and sound quality was outstanding (though I wish I brought ear plugs, everything still sounds dull 2 days later)
But if you want to go to eat, it's too loud to talk over the table, and the price is not competitive for food alone.
If you want to drink, you can't put your drink down unless you book a table, otherwise you stand on the dance floor with a drink.
If you want to dance, the floor is too busy to dance without knocking people holding drinks.
I had a great night, but left early and feel it's a place I've ticked off my list.

It was wonderful great excellent service the barmy security excellent the Deco excellent I'll come again and again and again

A very fun venue. The live band was amazing 😍 song preferences is an awesome addition to the experience. I love the ambiance and vibe and the drinks were great! My only issue was that my salad and seasonal veggies were over salted. Couldn't enjoy it. Otherwise my Rib Eye with side of Peppercorn sauce was perfection 👌
A. D.
Very nice and lively place. A bit noisy sometimes but good fun. Highly recommended. :)
K. H.
Almost as good as the West End one. Obviously the music is the same as they are the same talented bunch of professional musicians. Also the food and drinks are great, but I would say that the ambience and atmosphere is not as good as the West End piano works. This has to do with the layout of the area which is a bit unwieldy resulting in a lack of room for dancing in front of the stage. Also, some of the security staff are quite cold and rude, the exact opposite of the wonderful kind and warm people at the West End one.
J. B.
It was fabulous, the atmosphere was fantastic, music brilliant and the staff were amazing!!
C. B.
Great atmosphere, great interactive band, wonderful time there!
A. G.
Great live music venue where requests are taken all night long.
The food smelt and looked great, although I didn't have any to eat, so can't comment on taste.
Cloakroom is cash only, although there is a cashpoint that charges next to it.
Security were good and friendly, which is always a bonus.
Only negative is that all drinks are served in glass, this leads to a number of shards being scattered across the floor. Staff are on top of it though and clean up quickly.
Worth a visit.

One of the best nights out I've ever had. The band was awesome. Some of the covers were even better than the originals. Fantastic and super friendly bar staff. Not the cheapest place but they do a happy hour which is always a good deal. Had a lovely dinner there too. Can't complain about anything. Will be back!!!!
E. S.
I recently attended a hen party at Piano Works Farringdon and cannot fault the experience. The live music gives the bar a great atmosphere and the Victorian basement gives it a quirky vibe.
The bar staff were impeccable for the entire evening. I especially want to thank our waiter, Giovanni, who went out of his way to make sure we had a brilliant night and even found some batteries for us when our camera stopped working!
I would recommend this venue for an event and look forward to returning soon!
J. C.
Went to the piano works with a friend for her birthday(plus many more) we booked a space, so we were able to queue jump (before 22:00) and the staff we very good to us, asking if we wanted them to clear more space for us and always there for tabel service for us to order drinks. The music is always great and the atmosphere is bang on! Great place to go to whether you book or not.
R.
One of my favourite bars in the area, but on the fence as to how much is due to the bar and not the great live music or a good group of friends. Definitely a pain getting served.
J. P.
Had an amazing time here great live music 😌🎶
S. G.
It is a really fun bar but it gets quite crowded around 11pm, get there early and make sure you ask for few songs!
T. P.
Best place for booze and music. Until 9 or 10 PM they play silent songs after that they start rocking songs based on people’s recommendations. U can dances on ur favourite songs. Best bar I have ever visited.
J. S.
Good, but only if you're prepared for a proper night out. It's more club than a bar, and the music is more suited to 30+. But that doesn't mean it's bad; just not for me personally, and not recommended for 18 - 24s.
Oh, and the drinks are too expensive. Otherwise, not bad.
S. H.
Honestly one of the best nights of my life. The band was so talented and some of the singers were unbelievably good. It is very loud, but it's a small bar with a live band, what else could you expect? We didnt have food, but we did try some of their more expctic cocktails and we were very pleasantly surprised. Reasonable price for entry and drinks, and such a fantastic atmosphere. The band are honestly so talented, they can really play basically anything, even if they've never heard it! I am so impressed that we are planning to go back again at some point early next year, even though it's a 3 hour drive away! Amazing place. Couldn't be happier, plus the staff were absolutely delightful .
M. B.
Awesome venue, absolutely love it, talented musicians, vibrant atmosphere, fun staff & great variation of the music chosen by the audience. Always so much fun!! Remember to tip with your song request if you really want it played as it may not otherwise; musicians deserve it!
R. V. (.
Really cool bar, something different to your average night out. It's a great place for a significant birthday or special day. Had a lot of fun making requests, if they don't know the song they'll sit and learn it quickly. I'd definitely recommend this place! Nearest tube station is probably a 10 min walk away but there is a bus stop around the corner. One thing to be mindful of is there are some steep steps to get down into the bar and not sure if there is an easy access way.
S. J.
A very nice venue inside with great live music. Sadly the bar prices are very expensive (£6.90 for draft beer) and the service was slow despite our friend having reserved a table. The smoking area is ridiculously tiny and having the bouncer repeatedly yell to move further inside really isn't pleasant especially when there is no room. However, the front door bouncers were very friendly and professional.
H. T.
Piano works, starting offering lunch Thurs & Friday with live music. Currently running offer 50% off food. Seem good value. Nice size burger. Friendly staff. Nice music. As they're quite new to this, wasn't many ppl there. Relatively quick. Had gluten free, vegan options. Live music was good. Small tables very congested with things.
J. H.
Went in with a work colleague after hearing some good things about the place. It thoroughly lived up to expectations! The musicians were all very proficient and really knew how to get the crowd dancing. Drinks were delicious and not overly expensive, £7.50 for cocktails was not too bad (especially for students), and you are also paying for the constant live music. Our request was played a few songs after we put it down. Overall an excellent night.
M. T.
Best party venue in town! Always a top choice for us on a night out -- I come to London to see mates and family and we always hit Piano Works for the great atmosphere. The music is amazing and there's a party vibe all night. The staff are a great laugh and really helpful, made the best Zombie I've ever had down south. The food is really nice and the drinks aren't too expensive. Can't wait to get back there for NYE!
A.
Great place for groups. Book and get an area otherwise it's not the most comfortable of evenings. The booths close to the stage are the best. Cocktails are on the expensive side but well put together. Happy hour is great value so get in early. All together it's a solid night out. Tips for the piano players means your requests get played sooner.
H. U.
I went here with my work mates and had a great night! There was a good happy hour with £5 cocktails and a man playing piano early in the evening. From about 8pm there was a full band. The band was fantastic and you can make requests by writing on napkins. Drink prices after happy hour are on the high side of what you would expect in central London. Lots of fun dancing and singing though, would recommend for a fun night out!
s. g.
My first time at Piano Works and I shall certainly be back and recommend this venue for nights out. Great atmosphere and the live entertainment was outstanding. The service we received was exceptional. Fabio our waiter, was so professional and made sure we were all looked after.. Thank you Fabio 🙏🏽🙏🏽.
R. G.
Brilliant live music, drinks prices are average for the area, and bar staff are friendly. Unfortunately some of the bouncers are incredibly rude and aggressive - even to polite, sober customers. Perhaps the management should address this as it does create a lasting impression.
L. S.
Fantastic live music! The band really put their all into engaging the audience. Drinks were good, queues weren't too long, people were enjoying themselves. I had a wonderful time - will be coming again!
B. T.
I had an amazing time at the Piano works with great service and fun atmosphere. The food was really nice and good selection with a number of cocktails available. Its a very well designed venue, I highly recommend going if you are local or passing by.
T. H.
Went for our work Christmas party. Read some not so good reviews and was unsure what experience we were going to have. We were welcomed and shown to our table straight away. Service was fast and friendly with drinks and food being served without unacceptable delay. The main pull for me was the music. The band were awesome and take requests from the crowd, some well known and some more select choices but they nailed them all. One of the best night's drinking and dancing I have had in a long time. Highly recommended
L. M.
Really fun place with great live music all night. Could be improved with more seated areas. Strange set up on arrival - we got there at 8pm to find a lot of people sitting on the dance floor area waiting for their dinner to arrive.
I. P.
Really enjoyable evening. Great music, quick bar service - it's not cheap but it is within reason compared to other central London venues. I'm surprised that so many other reviews have bad things to say about the bouncers - I thought they were great. Yes they'll ask you to drink water if you appear drunk, but I think that's responsible and means you can still get in even if one of the group is a bit worse for wear. When we left one of the guys was outside making sure people were ok crossing the busy road to their cabs. Thanks for a good evening - Merry Christmas.

I booked a drinks area on a Saturday night for a large group of friends, and we had a great night out singing along to the really talented band. Repertoire covered a excellent range of artists and genres and the band chose songs that got everybody dancing. Only negative comment is that it was a little crowded, but that was expected given that it was a Saturday. I would definitely visit again!
A. P.
Great after drinks place for Thursdays and Fridays to go and blow off some steam. Mature and friendly crowd. Live music and the bands are usually pretty good though the choice of music can be a bit of hit and miss at times.
D. R.
I really missed a place like this in the area. Was not aware of its existence and was definitely surprised. Live music gives the place special effect. Seemed cozy and we'll organized and not too loud so one can still have a conversation. Left before it got crowded but will definitely return to see how it's like later in the night.
Well done team, highly recommended.
E. S.
What a great and unique place! Live music was fantastic and you can request your own songs! It was Office Christmas party time which was slightly let down by the cramped space for the first couple of hours as people are at tables, but when they cleared the tables and opened it up the place really came alive!
L.
Hm...well the interior is nice but a lot of the crowd is in their late 20s to 30s, so the songs are normally from the 2000s. It's good if you're in that age bracket, but it wasn't very 'jazzy' when I went there.
A. V.
Venue was overcrowded, really. Bouncers were a bit rude, especially at the end when we didn’t want to wait outside in the end for our ubers. The idea of this establishment is fun, love the fact that you can request songs, however I feel like the band tonight could’ve been better. Talking about better, you’d better not order the red wine - we had a bottle of Pinot Noir and it was horrible.
S. P.
I don't generally enjoy nightclub or similar but I have been here a few times now. Is a great out and they have amazing food. Fun atmosphere with high quality musicians. Staff friendly and attentive.
f. m.
Cool place and Stefania, the girl in the wardrobe, is just the best! 😊
S. S.
Went for our birthday...great fun all said. The music gets better and louder as the night progresses. However, getting in is not easy. Even though we had a table, we had to stand in line for a long time. Then, the table that was for 15 turned out to be a "space" for 15 with a table that seated 3 in a corner of the establishment. The server took ages to get us drinks (so may be worth getting it yourself from the extremely crowded bar).
Having said all that, it was a good night, with good music.
R. L.
We visited today (1/11/19) at 5pm and had the pre theatre meal for £17.50. Value and quality very reasonable. Staff were very friendly and music good. We didn't stay too long as we had other things to do but enjoyed it and would be very happy to visit again.
R. C.
Great if you want a fun night out. The live music is incredible and you can get the band to play the song you want. This often has out of towners on hen dos at and often is slightly over crowded. It also takes ages to get a drink hence the 4 stars
M. B.
Venue is great if you're into live music. The band were amazing playing a wide range based on requests from the audience. We did have to queue for over 40 minutes to get in which was disappointing and once in service at the bar was pretty slow. Other than that, an interesting and fun night out with some decent beers at the bar.
M. I.
Great experience all round when a group and I went - music was exceptional and made the whole experience worthwhile.
Some of the staff were absolutely lovely and made it brilliant while sometimes we had to put through our orders numerous times while some tables were even on deserts at brunch when we still haven’t even had our first course.
Don’t get me wrong - the experience was brilliant and this was most likely a one off but really worth a visit if you haven’t already.
D. G.
It's a lovely place with really nice food and the stuff was also great. However the music was a bit too loud for the space, at least for us, we were in the "caves" and the sound was more notorious than in the open spaces. To be at party is great but to have dinner it was impossible for us to talk unless you shut, seriously, we couldn't have a normal conversation because we were yelling at each other.
Great thing is that you can request songs! and from the at least 8 that we requested they put 5-6!!
The prices are fair for what you get. We were 5 of us and we ordered 4 menus ( started and main plate) plus 2 bottles of wine and the total was £140.
By the way, I don't know how long you would need to wait during the weekend to get in, but I've called in the morning of Tuesday to book for the same day on the evening and they have space, I've called later to move my booking because we were 2 hours late and they did it without any problem. Really kind from them!
Recommend!
D. Q.
The band were fantastic! This place is essentially a night club but rather than a DJ playing dance tunes, there is a full band playing fantastic tunes from all eras and genres. My only issue was the drinks were stupidly priced, £11 for a gin and lemonade!
K. S.
Checked out Piano Works for a friend's birthday. Very impressed with the service provided to group. They allowed us to bring a cake and they cut/served it. Also the waiter was very attentive.
We were not as impressed with the drink prices- very expensive for a standard mixed drink, and the music. *Please note- it was not a dueling piano bar when we attended on a Saturday night. It was a full band. Catchy tunes, but not what we expected.
Also, make a booking. The queue was extremely long at 9pm!
C. M.
Such a great concept! Having an entire band playing any song the audience asks for is a PLUS and something unusual in London. However, the layout of the place is not the best, hence it gets VERY crowded. It is super hot and drinks are quiet pricey.
A. C.
Nice live music bar that takes song requests. Great cocktail selection and atmosphere. Dancing is allowed and almost encouraged. Good night out but booking a table is recommended.
J.
We went there for a friends birthday last weekend. There is a good atmosphere with an enjoyable live band. We opted to have food and pre ordered online. We were told that the meal was £25pp. When we arrived the waitor offered us cocktails for £5 each. When the bill came out we had to pay and extra £4 for the dinner and an extra £1 for the drink. We were in a group of 20 so they made an extra profit from us. Basically, I do not like hidden charges all be it £1-£100. The starter which I got was soup...it was very powdery so I did not finish it. I got the steak for mains which was generous and tasty. The staff were very nice and friendly. Overall I would visit again minus the food!
G. B.
Lively atmosphere and the band are great. I would not recommend eating here though - £32 for a bowl of lettuce and the blandest Thai Green Curry I've ever tasted. The drinks are also hugely overpriced - £17.50 for a watery Whisky Sour.
B. P.
Really good place in terms of the environment. It's totally ambient. It also has got a great food coming out of their kitchen. A good selection of beers but most importantly, the music. The music is almost an icing on the cake. It makes everything about this place fall in to place perfectly
K. E.
Very good social distancing / clean and a great vibe. The only thing is we didn't have a view of the stage and apparently this needs to be done at time of booking but this is made very clear.
X. J.
Love the music, although the place is too crowded. Very talented players and classic songs.
P. T.
This is the best place to go for a night out in London, no exception. Love music all night. You pass the band notes with your favourite tune written on it, no matter if it's pop, rock, old, new and these guys will jam it out. Awesome night. Been back loads of times.
H. A.
Great idea, if they actually played any of the songs we requested. Very drunk on a Saturday night but lots of energetic parties around. Clearly a popular place for that. Staff were good. Wasnt a fan of the sticky floors and crowd. I'd give 3.5 if I could.
D. E.
A great place to dance, drink and party.
N. H.
Service was slow for food but the cocktails made up for that. Had a lovely night and music was great especially hearing everyone's requests.
C. D.
I booked a table for my partner and I for our anniversary, months in advance. Upon arrival we were taken to our table and unfortunately it was right next to the stairs by the toilets. It was freezing cold where we were sat but thankfully after a word, we were able to be moved. I wonder what the point of reserving well in advance is if you're just going to be plonked as far away from the piano area as is humanly possible? I would have assumed there would be a system in place that those who reserve first get priority seating and if not, why not?
T. K.
This is a great concept and the place has such potential but it doesn't quite deliver on it. The singers are a tad underwhelming (this could be due to the sound system), it's very hot in there and there's no designated dance floor so wherever you are, people will have to push past you to get where they have to go. The house band is brilliant though. The way they just pick up virtually any song, have a quick conflab and launch into it is worth the aforementioned discomfort if you're into the music.
M. H.
Great night out. Excellent live music & such a fun atmosphere. We went for a birthday & had booked a table. Staff were so great & never left us waiting for a drink order
S. P.
The band are amazing but really trying to be too alternative by rehashing classics like Prince purple rain and wouldn't really call it a classic but n***** in Paris sounded like ball ache in the ears. The fact you have to pay £5 for requests when the drinks are overpriced doesn't seem great to drown out whatever you can. Although nice venue but the smoking area is So tiny it's pointless... you're like squashed from the queue trying to get into the venue.. 3 stars. Thanks all.
B. M.
Used to be my favorite place for Friday after work ! Can’t wait to go back to it again
K. O.
Great venue. Fabio was amazing and he was very attentive to our table. H
e always knew when to come back to make sure we were all ok!
I would recommend if you book in advance to ask for him to help you enjoy your night
C. G.
Booked a table for dinner last night, found the process a bit complicated but ok.
Arrived early, we were sat at the last table away from the piano but fine as I'd heard it gets busy and I booked it quite late. We got lots of free drinks and drink deals, the small table was suddenly full of glasses (nice) but they bring the food too fast, there is no time for you to enjoy the moment, savour your drink, chat and relax. The food was quite average and re drinks be aware they will make up for all the free drinks later on when you go to the bar £££££.
To start with there was some piano player taking requests, later on it turns into a band also playing requests. We'd come for the piano (which was ok) but the change to a band was quite nice. However they play requests and the songs sequence does not flow well at times. Again ok as that's what the place is about!
What I found weird was that you constantly see staff passing with bags of rubbish, don't they have a service exit at the back for this?
Our waiter Mauricio was very good, though.
As there was a lot of "nice", "ok", "fine" I cannot give it a 4 star. I could go back though, sometimes an average night out at a place local to your work fits a Friday night quite well.
K. G.
Fab place for a celebration, amazing house band fulfilling your musical requests at the drop of the hat , in their own style and improvisations. If you love live music and cover versions - this is your place. Tasty cocktails and food set the mood perfectly!
N. M.
A group of friends and I have a wonderful time here. Food was great and the staff were really friendly and helpful. Our waiter Fabio was very charming and a pleassure to have assist us. Thank you for making our night that extra bit special. I would definely recommend for a fun night
M. W.
We went for my daughters 21st. Everything went really well. Had a separate space. Ordered food. Not too busy as a Monday evening. Music very good. Drinks menu very competitive after 930.
I would definitely go again and am planning a works do.
R. E.
Really fun live music venue with great music to suit lots of people but way too crowded. I was constantly being pushed by others who were trying to squeeze between everyone to get to the bar, restroom or exit.
Also I ordered 2 margaritas for my friend and I and they came with chili in the salt which whilst unique, was not expected and my friend didn't like it. All the others in our group ordered espresso martinis and they all said they were way too sweet and couldn't finish them. This place would benefit from less people being allowed inside and reviewing it's cocktail recipes. We still had a fun night but those were the let downs
A. B.
Nice place with live music performed by serious professionals. Great attention to the sound of the place, drinks and management. Suitable for people up to their late thirties, is a nice place to be for older people like me as well. A little too crowded for my taste.
R. H.
Nice live music. Pretty upbeat and busy on the weekends.
A. Y.
Come early! If you want a night out then come by 8 pm to avoid an hour line (even earlier if its a nice summer day). The most talented band in London playing all the songs you can possibly imagine. Drink prices are reasonable and bar lines are long. A lot of hen parties as you might imagine.
L. F.
Brilliant venue. Good food at great prices, loads of drinks offers.... And fabulous music (that you choose yourself) played live by brilliant musicians. Awesome friendly atmosphere from the door to the bar to the customers.... Highly recommended
J. R.
Well they lost our reservation, so we kinda got stuffed in a corner to start with. Also the cocktails are not terribly good. Probably the weirdest and worst Old Fashioned I've had. Ages burning a cinnamon stick and stirring with it, leaving black bits throughout the drink, and then just wrapping a bit of orange peel around it. You're supposed to burn the orange peel! So yeah. Cocktails are pretty bad, but cheapish in happy hour (£5).
However, the pianos are what it is all about, and as it gets later and they really get going the live music with requests is pretty good. Some slightly odd / dodgy covers but a lot of classic songs that everyone will love. Had a lot of fun dancing away to all those.
So for a quiet drink with a cocktail or two, I could suggest better places, but for a lively night of wine and dancing it's worth checking out.
M. B.
Been here 3 times now; each occasion the security have caused issues, whether they've been overbearing or rude. On this most recent of occasions they were constantly bugging the girls to put their coats and bags in the cloakroom; it just becomes very annoying and distracting when you're just out for a fun evening. Management aren't much use unfortunately, after taking them up on their offer to provide more detail, not a lot happened.
The bar staff and servers are lovely and a lot of fun, not taking themselves too seriously, they seem to have fun every time I've been there (lethal cocktails to boot). The bands are a lot of fun too and are willing to have a joke and laugh with the crowd as a whole and, if you're close enough to the stage to speak directly to them. It's a weird one because it's a fun place but I can't give it a 4th shot to be disappointed by you know who again.
D. W.
Best place on earth. During the week the cocktail prices 2 for 1 is fantastic, the quality of the old fashioned spotless. But the best is the band and the live music. All time favorite
M. R.
Loved it great place for a Xmas party although the food wasn't great
The waiter Andre was particularly wonderful and went to every effort to help our party
J. R.
Fantastic Concept. Friendly Doormen. Efficient Bar Staff. Chilled water constantly available on the bar to just help yourself if needed. Attracted nice types of people who where there for the good vibe and to enjoy themselves. All in all worthy of a visit.
G. S.
I’ve been to both this Piano Works and the one at West End. I must say the latter is way better. I had the impression it is has more capacity than the one at Farringdon. Unfortunately, the night I went to was crowded of drunk, aggressive people and sadly, the singer was a little out of tone. Security did a good job at the entrance and having shelter while queuing was indeed a good, guest-friendly idea
R. w. R.
My favourite place to go with pals in 2017. Drinks are London prices. Expect a wait most nights. Bar food is outstanding (mini burgers are top notch). Best aspect is the music: it's live, loud and uplifting. Ideal for those who like dancing. Not the place for slow wine and quiet conversations.
R. J.
The music was good, there's a cloakroom to put your things, they take song requests on Fridays, they look after your group and recommend water if they see you need it. The downside is the drinks are more expensive than I would've liked.

Great place to have a drink. Really nice to have a live band play on request but found music too loud to chat and enjoy the n9ght with friends. Great if you love your musoc but avoid if you want to properly catchup with friends. HOWEVER there is a quiet section you can go to if you want to chat so not all is lost.
V. R.
too loud for my liking - but can’t fault it otherwise
C. S.
Very nice place. Good music and terrific drinks.
L. P.
Absolutely great atmosphere with great music. Staff were exceptionally friendly especially Patricia who made our experience even better, she paid attention to us, took care of us when we had already drank a little too much and the best bit, she remembered our orders after the first time of ordering!

Such a great idea that you can ask ANY song you want.
Also, the guy playing the piano is out of this world.
L. H.
I came here last night with friends, cocktails were really good , just want to say thank you to the lovely bouncer who helped me try to get a cab in the pouring rain for half an hour. The only thing that let the place down was the extremely rude cloak room girl who when I asked her colleague a question about opening hours she burst out laughing and then held her head down the whole time , wouldn't even look at me when I was talking so rude and childish. Get rid of her ., Every one of my friends who put their coats in at sepearate times said how rude she was too!
J. C.
Funky different bar in the heart of Clerkenwell where the main attraction is the band who take requests from the audience in return for tips.
Great premise but does come of a bit like the end of a wedding reception given the crowd is a bit after works drinks party on the weekday.
Drinks are a bit on the high side but the staff are friendly. Good door staff too.
Overall a positive atmosphere but think of your requests upfront otherwise it's Oasis before you know it !
D.
Lovely bar. The food and cocktails weren't the best I've tasted but being able to choose your music with a live orchestra is awesome!
R.
Had such a good time! Patricia was an absolute legend! Checked in on us and made sure we were having a great time!! Sang and danced with us and brought my friend birthday cake - buzzing! Will definitely be back x
G. C.
Expensive entry and expensive drinks but it's what you'd expect. Always a huuuge queue for women's toilets but can't do much about that! Band is great and I love the idea, always completely crammed on a Friday/Saturday so get in at or before 11pm. I think it's a great night :)
P. L. D. T.
Great night!!!! Shout out to beth and bethany who made my night special!!
E. F.
Massively disorganised, took ages for everything, not enough staff and those there are aren't attentive. Very hen do, stag do heavy and feels like you're in a nightclub at 2am at 2pm in the afternoon. Music bands was excellent though and if you're in the party mood, could be perfect
A. L.
Great live music, taking requests. Drinks are good quality, similar price to your london standard.
Particular mention to Pablo who sorted us out all night. Really made a special night of it
M. S.
The musicians are first class what makes the environment a must go. However, the food could be way better. My lamb was fine the Thai curry really is a 1 out of 5. Just don't order it
H.
Such an amazing place and great idea! massive drinks range with friendly staff!
J. K.
Myself and a group of friends went down to Piano Works last week and loved it. We got there for their cocktail hour which is a great offer as it is usually expensive to drink in London! Will definitely be going back soon!
D. N.
Had a christmas part here. Food was average and the noise did not allow for much conversation.
As the night went on the music was okay, but the singing to accompany the piano was non-existent. Also they clearly played certain cliche songs over the more 'unique' requests.
V. P.
Very nice place. The food is good and the music is really nice. Just a bit noisy if you want to chat. Also make sure everyone you've booked for shows up because you will pay for their food anyway.
J. C.
AMAZING! I went to The Piano Works last night for my birthday and really didn't expect it to be so amazing. We had a table booked for 5 with a 2 hour slot just in time for happy hour which is 5-7. The table was in a booth so it was perfect for a group of 7 and we had a great view of the stage. We had an amazing 3 course meal for £30 each which was extremely reasonable as you could not fault the food at all. We also had bottomless prosecco which was getting topped up all evening. The service was also amazing, our waiter was Harry and he got everything absolutely perfect. It was just really well organised, fun meal experience and just generally a great vibe. We went in at 5 and it made you feel like it was night time! It is a mixture of a bar, restaurant and a show of live music so for all of that to be going on the staff and the kitchen have it all under control. I would also say the menu is spot on as well, it is small but everything tasted so great. I would definitely go back for a girly night out and recommend to other people!

Had my wife's birthday party there last night for 20 people. Emma brilliantly handled all the arrangements and we booked a tunnel facing the stage. Food was great, along with the drinks and cocktails and staff - particuarly our waiter Fabian and Ade (who was also truly wonderful on our first visit a couple of weeks previously) took good care of us all night and was a lovely fella to boot ! Knowing the problem of having no guest list we managed that ably by letting everone know in advance and we went out to chat with some of our straggler friends who had to wait a little. So no problem there ! A great place , with a great vibe and great music. Will be back and with other friend's parties no doubt. Highly recommended.
K. M.
The Piano Works is a unique place that is definitely on my list of places to go to again.
I went for my birthday celebrations last night and had an amazing time. The cocktails were great, the food was delicious and the music was fun - although I docked a star because my suggestions weren't played :( . The staff were so helpful and friendly. I definitely recommend to everyone.
S. S.
Went a couple months ago for the first time for a bday celebration, and had a great experience thanks to Elizabeth, her energy is amazing, she was very helpful doing right recommendations and taking us nice pictures :) Live band is great too, had so much fun
J. N.
Good location in Faringdon. The place seems a little snobby at the door. Your interrogated for your reservation. But once your in they are all very nice. There's a band that play any track you request. Food is very nice along with a good selection of drinks. Good place for a date or out with a group for an evening meal.
R. K. M.
Amazing venue... Brilliant music! Lucky we had booked in advance! Would have been a rather long wait to get in otherwise! The only downside would be the long wait to be served at the bar.
A. R.
Great for live music, so much talent! Not great for connecting with friends for dinner as the music is too loud. Once the tables are moved aside the dance floor is alive! Would totally recommend for a night out.
N. P.
The Piano Works Farringdon is a fun place with good music. It is however a little cramped in there and you're pretty constantly being pushed. The drinks are also a little pricey. The most disappointing part relates to music requests, where is required to pay for any requests otherwise they ignore it.
L. D. S.
Great food for being a bar, great cocktails not so great piano players before 9pm on Mondays at least! So make sure you arrive around 10pm. Be sure to bring your fav songs to request them early on. Come in a group and have lots of fun.
J. S.
During happy hour (5-7pm weekdays) drinks are good value. Beyond that it's quite expensive but fairly normal for the location.
My problem with it is that the music is ridiculously loud so conversation is out of the question. It was also packed to the point where I found it difficult to leave.
Music was good though and cloakroom was free.
C. J.
Omg, I LOVE this place. This bar has a live house band who only play requests all night long. Its brilliant! So popular you'll need to book a table for sure. The food served up here is amazing too. More expensive than not but we'll worth it. Acgreat night out!
j. m.
Celebrated my birthday here, pre-booked with food also pre-ordered from a limited menu. The only complaint I have really is the sauces for all our meals came out at least 5mins after our meals were served. Apart from that everyone had a great night and everything went smoothly. The waitress service we received in our drinks booth was also excellent. Great lively music venue driven by requests written on napkins.
R. H.
I came here with two of my best friends for one of their 29th birthdays on a Friday evening. I think the birthday girl was expecting a more 'Pitcher and Piano' kind of vibe but it's much louder and more raucous than that! We got there at 7 and it was already packed, so loud it's hard to chat in a relaxed fashion without straining. We got drinks and waited for our other friend and enjoyed the pianist - didn't love the Elton John at 7pm on a Friday but that's personal taste ;)
We got taken to our table which was a great view of the back of the stage. We all had great meals, but I don't think it's acceptable that the ribs my friends were so keen for had sold out halfway through the first dinner sitting! The mushroom starter and salad starter were particularly delicious, and the salmon really nicely cooked. It was also a lovely touch that we all got a glass of rosé prosecco for my friend's birthday.
We all agreed that we much preferred the band who came on at half 8 to the pianist - our best friend is a singer and she could have done a lot better than the guy on stage at the start (the girl was great though.)
The only other disappointment was that none of our requests were played - none of us had any cash to tip, so it may have been our fault, but we all wrote Happy Birthday Steph on our cards so that was a bit sad. It led us to think that maybe they just play a set list.
All in all, a really fun evening but don't expect to be able to enjoy proper, meaningful conversations. I don't think any of us would rush back as I think it just tries to be too many things at once.
R. L.
Brilliant music and the service was excellent !!
L. N.
What a brilliant night!👍 Thank you team 😃
A. H.
Had a fantastic time here for drinks to celebrate a friend's birthday. Music was excellent with very talented artists. Food smelt lovely too so will be heading back there for a meal in future.
A. G.
Had a leaving do here on Thursday. Reserved an area for 15 people and pre-ordered drinks too. Music and atomos is really good and we all had a great time.
Was disappointed that i’d pre-ordered over 100 pounds worth of drink and then turned up in happy hour where I could have got the same for a quarter of the price!
D. S.
Great music, great food. Covid restrictions lessened the experience, but otherwise a great night.
A. N.
Really fun if really hit and miss renditions of songs. The requests system means you can also get some inexplicable slow numbers jamming up the party tunes but it's a small price for a fun, novel night out in a nicely mixed group. Perfect for work nights out.
L. A.
I had the pleasure of coming to Piano works on thursday. It was a great night, the live band was amazing and the service was even better - Patricia made sure our drinks never reached the bottom of the glass, she was always smiley and happy and really added to the atmosphere of the venue. Patricia if you’re reading this THANK YOU
M. J.
Nice theme and players were great. Limited beer options and a not really my style of venue. Good happy hours though and I'm sure some people will absolutel love this place
J. G.
Adnan made me the best espresso martini I have ever had. A very well mixed drink and as a former bartender I really appreciate his attention to detail. Thanks for a great drink, music was awesome too!
J. R.
Went during the football. The bar itself is very nice however they hugely overfilled for this event meaning it was uncomfortably busy, you couldnt get to the bar to buy drink and people were pushing past you all night. It was a good atmosphere but not worth it on that occasion.
J.
Had fun but sat with an obscured view of the piano but was made aware of that when booked. Had have given 5 stars but service was a bit slow albeit very friendly
L. E.
Always had a good time here. Better with a group of you. It does get very busy but love that atmosphere and great range of music. Never had a problem with the bouncers or other staff.
K. E. D.
Amazing music, nice crowd, nice cocktails as well, not the best service though. Make sure you book a table to avoid a loooooooong qué. The concept of request playlist is nice, but you will have to wait a lot on a Friday night to listen to the song you requested
D. L.
Had delicious pork ribs and chips.. service is great and the music is the top!
S.
Nice place but the songs were covered horribly. The food was really good. The drinks were too strong and bitter. Fog became annoying. One or two songs were actually sung to a satisfactory level. Quite noisy so not the best place to have a chat unless you book a table far from the centre.
N. R. R.
Great place to enjoy live music and have a good time with friends.
C. H.
Great atmosphere, music is fantastic. Staff are professional and friendly. Live band is amazing with a great range fantastic place to end a night.
J. W.
While the happy hour is good and the cocktails are well made. Staff a little over Zealous over bags being left in middle of groups of people... No hooks near bar to hang, and too busy to leave anywhere else. Could be sorted by spending £30 on hooks attached to bar...
K. G.
Came here for my birthday and had a fantastic time. Amazing live band with great atmosphere. Worth getting there early to avoid the queue. Drinks extortionate but great evening
E. K.
Amazing place to be! Went as part of a hen night. Food was delicious! We paid for the cocktail making class and it was well worth it. The musicians played all night, all genres and took requests.
M. v. B.
Mixed band including Sax, Guitar, Bass, Drums and of course a Piano. Open to requests which they spin to suit the atmosphere, Very cheery place. A little pricey but they make good drinks so not too bad.
Y. M.
Visted on a Saturday night. Great live band and music but the clientele, not so much. Lots of drunk people being matched out by security. Also, the floors are sticky . Yes, l mean sticky like your shoes sticking to the carpet.
D. M.
Just about the best and most fun live music venue I've been to in London. Superbly talented house band who manage to sustain an electric atmosphere all night. Just one tip - get there early.
J.
Great place todo Discovery! Was our last day in London andas we enjoyed a lot. Thanks to Pablo for being us to a table without Booking and give us the chance to have a dinner. Good music, good vibes
K. T.
Such an awesome experience and night out. Great music and pleasant crowd. Professional bag and coat check too. Drinks are pricey but that's to be expected. Totally worth it
J. S.
Amazing place! You put the song on their wish list and they will play for you! They also do happy hours so you get the drink quite cheap! I'm definitely coming back their soon!
N. B.
Not fantastic. Although door staff are awesome. Place is usually crazy packed, long bar wait times (but that's to be expected for London I guess). Cloakroom was also a bit of a pain, had a small boxed doughnut with me and had to pay separately for all my items
F. L.
Went to celebrate our son's 25th birthday with him, his girlfriend and the kids. Fantastic time. Band was amazing. Staff couldn't be more helpful. Amazing evening. Can't recommend highly enough!
s.
What an amazing g place, piano and drums. In the middle of the room, and you request a song and they sing it, so you get an eclectic mix of tour fav songs from Kanye West to ABBA hahaaha, loved it, and going again
H. B.
Want to start by saying 5/5 for the bar staff 5/5 for the musicians and 5/5 for the security who might be the friendliest (yet legit) bunch I’ve met.
However the manager Evelina gets a 1/5. Very rude and isn’t in sync with the vibe at all. We booked 25 people for my girlfriends birthday (which they offer a special deal, cake bottle of proceco etc). A mistake must have been made on the phone when we booked because we weren’t put down for the birthday package (not a big deal), but instead of reading the situation, recognising that despite somehow a mistake being made we did bring 25 people clearly to celebrate she was rude, unwelcoming and very passive aggressive. Not the kind of person you want leading the ship of a very unique enterprise.
E. O.
We had a great night here for my sisters 40th. Music was great and staff were lovely. Only downside was the security who were a bit over zealous and threw out 3 of our party for no reason whatsoever.
T. C.
I'm conflicted about this place. It's totally not somewhere I would normally enjoy - packed, pushy door staff, and pricey drinks - but I had a lot of fun, and really enjoyed the quality of the live music. I think if I hadn't gone with a larger group with a dedicated area I'd have enjoyed it less.
M. E.
Really cool layout for listening to bands. Love the giant booths! And toilets are plentiful.
R. D.
Great fun, good music, and if you go for bottomless vibes, it’s truly bottomless! I don’t recall the food to well, but must’ve been ok. Oh and there is happy hour after the bottomless session.
P. N.
Absolutely loved it. The ambience, the music and the vibes. Go before 930pm and sign for their list on Facebook otherwise you will have to wait easily 45 min to be able to get in. Entry costs 10£ but totally worth it.
S. C.
Our french waitress marghet was awesome!! Food was nice, cocktails and wine good. The only disappointment was the music. Was my bf's 30ths bday and they didn't play the happy b'day even when we request it.
F. S.
Great Bar with live music. I really liked the fact you could give your song requests on a napkin. Overall it's just a fantastic experience, I definitely recommend checking it out!
B.
Would be 5 stars if it wasn't for the awful bouncers who try and enforce a mixed group policy. This isn't a hookup kinda bar and honestly in 2018 mixed group policies are problematic AF. Plus they are incredibly rude at the door
J. D.
Nice concept for a place, although the night on which I went didn't overly impress. To be fair, we didn't have a reservation, but were seated in the back area away from the action of the stage. The music was good, although the food is on the pricey side.
g. k.
👌 amazing Saturday Night party place. Makes it even more special with a bunch of friends 👍
S. G.
Had such a great night! Booked a drinks table for my work leaving do and was surprised by prosecco and cake on the house! Amazingly generous and the music is always fantastic, the perfect spot. Thank you!
J. C.
Got there no queue Sunday afternoon. Great atmosphere. Great live music playing requests to dance to. Good value party memorable fun for all ages.
l. k.
Had such a good time here! The band was amazing and the atmosphere was nice
My only annoyance was me and my party were meant to be in for a discounted price but we weren't let in before the time to get this. I wonder if there could be a different way of doing this system
K. &. E. M.
We had a wonderful valentines night at PW in Farringdon. Service was excellent - special commendation for Mateheus who was extremely attentive and professional. The food was was surprisingly good - really well cooked steak being a highlight. We will be back.
A. A.
Very lovely ambience, guaranteed fun. Surely a 'must visit' when in London.
C. C.
The venue has a great vibe for those who like music and dancing and not being afraid of their moves! Staff is nice and helpful. Cheap drinks every Sunday bank Holiday.
A. L.
Great night out; they play requests so sometimes the music is really good and other times its average. Thursday nights are better than Fridays in that the place is busy but not rammed.
A. N.
Good subterranean music club with two pianists and band playing requested songs. Although a basement it feels large and airy. Drinks a little expensive but a fun venue with good vibe and loving the live band.
A. J.
This is a good place to drink and listen to some live music. Sadly you can't guarantee the genre so it's a bit hit and miss - not a hardcore party place but more of a lively place to have a boogie ^-^
i. t.
Downside: way too loud, way too expensive drinks! Not many seats but... Pros: nice location, talented live bands and singers, and the you can ask the band for a song writing on the napkin, how cool is that?! 😃 If you live in London, is something you have to try once
K. C.
Absolutely love this place. The atmosphere is unmatched, and the live music is great.
W. P.
This place gets an extra star for having a live band that does requests, however this is otherwise quite a standard London bar, full of post-work people. Curious Brew on tap is nice, but the only choice. Wine is alright, but standard.
T. S.
A lovely place for a night out, with live music and requests for songs accepted from the crowd. Drinks are good as well. Can be a bit of a wait to get in though.
G. K.
What an amazing place - great cocktails and amazing vibe. They normally have two piano players here at one time and sometimes even take audience requests .
Great decor , great cocktails and perfect place for date or work drinks .
r. b.
Great vibe mixed with well crafted live musical performances
B. C.
Might even be my fave place in the UK. The band playing requests is the greatest idea ever and they smash out every song!
T. C.
Excellent venue for chilling and relaxing. Put song requests on napkins and put them on the pianos for them to get played! Great cocktails, would thoroughly recommend.
R. J.
Music requests are well played, happy hour and £2.50 drinks are worth the wait (starts at 9pm mondays), atmosphere is really good, staff very polite and pros, toilets well maintained and food is yummy. Cant fault it!
D. C.
Seated right next to the band so couldn’t hear anything at all. Not good atmosphere for a meal but good atmosphere for a night out. Food was okay but on the expensive side.
O. T.
A bit expensive for beer.. But the food is good, and the vibe is even better!
The staff are friendly.. Shout out to charlotte! Would have been 4 stars but not happy with the expensive pint! £6.50 is crazy expensive but I had a great time.. Ps they let me wear shorts! Love the summer!
a. t.
Came during Valentine's and it was lots of fun. Had the sitdown dinner where you ordered ahead of time. You can send your request for songs to be played and sung on the piano. If you really want your song played then giving them a tip is your best bet.
k. t.
One of the best nights I've had. The live band were fantastic and they took song suggestions from the crowd 😁
L. R. H.
Fun concept but way to crowded and pretty expensive; a pint 6.5. Wouldn't come with friends for a catch up as music is loud. If you a looking for a night out dancing to live music the yes.
A. M.
A nice concept, live music is very good. I visited on a very hot evening and the air conditioning wasn't working. It was like a sauna so many people left early. It was April 21st.
B. L.
Amazing experience! Definitely recommend!
L. D.
Piano bar taking requests. Can be crowded and expensive but not bad for a cheesy dance night out if you get in before the £10 cover charge. Given it closes at 1am, it's probably not worth it after the charge kicks in.
K. l.
Absolutely loved it. Great place for exceptional live music lovely vibe about the place. Band plays audience requests all night. Underground cavern type of bar.
Worth a visit
E. A.
Nice for group fun, mostly young people. Nice music, talented musicians. The security inside was a bit rude. He said cloak room is free, we went to clock room it wasn't.
