Reviews of The Shanakee
G. W.
Great Irish bar with friendly locals. Had a good Irish singer on the night we were in.
M. H.
Excrlent location, good beers at best price, great personal
K. c.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and people in the pub.
A. G.
Not bad. Got a bit lively too soon. I was enjoying my brain being in Flight Mode for a bit. I'll remember to put some headphones 🎧in...if I'm in the area ^gain.
J. L.
Every time we're in Ealing, we visit the Shanakee. Nothing special to look at but a recognisable Irish spirit. Loved it (again)
G. O.
It's a shame they had to remove the outside tables but I still love this place. Excellent Guinness and digital jukebox with huge selection to please all musical tastes.
D. K.
Wonderful Pub, great staff, lovely atmosphere. Great Guinness. Highly recommend.
G. T.
Another great bar. Guinness really good.
M. H.
It's a nice pub all the staff are very friendly and helpful
p. a.
This place is awesome people are great it's just a fun place to be all round if ur looking for a fun chilled out & laid back place this is it good beer good vibes & good times all round
H. S.
A friendly welcome. Lovely pint.
D. M.
A proper boozer. By far the cheapest pub within 200 metres of Ealing Broadway station. No food (bar snacks= crisps etc). Coffee is instant coffee. Tea is builder's tea bags with full fat milk. The atmosphere is great though (most of the time). I drink here regularly and would recommend it if you want the opportunity to have a decent pint and especially if you are happy strike up a conversation with someone. It is the kind of pub where people are free to talk to each other (if they are thus inclined).
D. L.
We had an amazing time here. I contributed to the money wall...our currency is now on the wall 🇹🇹
B. W.
This site is my favorite restaurant. Of all restaurants I know I love it most. I always suggests to my friends to go to visit this place. when I want to go to a fair dinner, this place comes instantly to my head. fresh and many types of food and a rich menu.professional staff members, and great ambience. Also important, the cost is reasonable. I praise this spot with no hesitation.
R. P.
Wonderful staff! The manager is a darling and the staff are great to talk to. The toilets are always clean and so are the toilets. Only issue i have is that once i say no ice, i mean that for my future drinks too. I think they should replace the rickety stools too.
A. W.
The lager look flat only had 1 drink and left
D. M.
Classic Irish bar. Live music . Friendly staff and reasonable prices. Would be five stars if the toilets were cleaner .
S. C.
This place is the one I like best. I eat in plenty of restaurants but to this place I constantly return again and again. The stuff is very welcoming and the cooking they offer is so yummy. I never decline to have a decent dinner here. Highly recommended.
D. D.
This is like marmite, you either love or loathe it! Its grown on me. The drinks are cheap compared to many other pubs in area. There's always a crowd and the staff are friendly. They don't sell meals, its a rough and ready joint with occasional live music and shows sport on TVs.
R. N.
Local Irish pub with a 3-4 TV screens displaying ongoing sporting events. In general it can get a bit noisy and the crowd seems a bit hostile at points, but then again it may be a misread of the ambience since it's oriented for local regulars. It is small and a bit grimy though.
p. w.
I frequent on a regular basis, the staff are solid remember faces and drinks. Being near the station sometimes brings in the undesirables but the manager is quick to deal with keeping decorum.
D. C.
A very nice place, Good service staff very friendly.
A. S.
Lovely Irish bar opposite Ealing Broadway station. Fairly priced, great atmosphere and friendly staff. Always worth popping in if you’re in Ealing and want to stop for a drink.
K. P.
Opposite the station, good for a quick pint or one for the road. The facilities can be kept little cleaner.
M. O.
Lovely little friendly pub
R. B.
Great little Irish pub
R. S.
My brother's favourite pub in Ealing. Guinness good. Crisp selection needs improving and sometimes they close very sharply, unless you are a regular
M. M.
Was a little uneasy when walking passed this little place. But my judge but not try was very much my mistake great place friendly and felt at home. I left my bag in the pub and it was handing in with nothing missing returned the next day. So like me dont judge a pub by the outside go try great pub
f. y.
Really fun pub.
Great craic n banter.
Friendly and welcoming pub
Staff fun and very welcoming.
Will deffo be back next time I'm in London
B. O.
Great place Charlotte behind the bar is a hero. (She doesn't wear a cape) very chatty and exactly what ya need when visiting a good Irish pub.
P. M.
Great pub to swing by when coming out of ealing station to catch the latest sport and get served a nice Guinness by very friendly staff
A. D.
It's a nice pub to visit through the day, but it gets very popular and loud when a match is on the atmosphere is great and every one is friendly
J. R.
Nice enough little Irish bar opposite ealing broadway station. Nice selection of beers, friendly staff, and the smallest mens toilet in Europe
V. O.
The beers are cheap and the people in there were surprisingly tame. I would have given five stars if it weren't for the strong stench of urine by the first table we sat at
G. W.
Perfect pint of Guinness. Decent honest little boozer. Can be rowdy but it's never too dull! Perfect for a lil pint while you're passing by Ealing Broadway.
T. E.
Pie is lovely here. I had the Stilton pie with a double havana club 7. Lovely meal after pitching a short film to ITV
J. M.
Good old boozer...all you need.
A. E.
Good place to celebrate a London Broncos Win with fellow supporters
P. B.
Nice little bar. Reasonable price for beer. Best pint of Carlsberg I've ever had.
k. w.
A great pub for a good pint of Guinness and for Rugby League fans before and after the London Broncos are playing there home games.
m. w.
Love this hide away the bar tender is out of this world welcoming.
It is also one of the most reasonably prices places in Ealing .
Be back soon Charlotte
B. P.
If you love your sports and pint, then this is the go to place. Good atmosphere and great selection of beers
N. M.
Great location, right opposite Ealing Broadway station.
D. L.
Bit of a halfway house but decent staff and cheap beer, all sports and bit of horse racing if you fancy a flutter!
S.

e. m.
Lovely staff and very helpful 😀
J. O.
Cheapest pint in town. Friendly, older vibe. Will be going again when I need another pint to break up the trip home :-)
R. S.
What can I say. A tipical Irish pub. Good crisps (takes) and well looked after bear
j. w.
An Irish bar quite a place to meet people of all trades of life and have a quiet night life, while you enjoy the melodies.
A. L.
Amazing place with good vibe , decent music and affordable prices. Perfect for Guinness fans
S. T.
Great staff, lovely atmosphere
M.
It's a nice place to stop for a Guinness after a long journey with the tube and very friendly staff!!!
W. C.
If alcohol and watching sports are your thing, then the Shanakee may have something for you.
Likewise, if you enjoy urinating in the adjacent car park in the dead of night, then the Shanakee may have something for you too.
S. C.
Called in after the rugby at London Broncos. Good selection of beers and sport on the tv.
N. D.
Great vibes and atmosphere have been there 5 times now .
D. E.
Nought special. Nice pint. Bit run down. Very friendly. A locals pub
T. C.

E. H.
Very nice place to spend time with friends 😍
j. k.
It's nice enough near the station and good bar staff never waiting too long.
D. W.
Lovely atmosphere friendly people and bloody good Guinness.
P. D.
Decent selection of Lager, friendly service and plenty of TVs for those crammed in to enjoy the football
E. T.
Nice staff and setting. Just opposite Ealing Broadway station. Provides tables outside as well.
D. L.
An inexpensive pub that shows football and horseracing on the T.V. can get crowded if Ireland are playing football, rugby or cricket etc.
B. B.
Great place for a chatty beer
B. F.
Good atmosphere for when the sport is on but other than that doesn't offer much
A. M. G.
Honestly has a bit of a funky crowd sometimes. Good for matches when it's packed with your side.
G. S.
Nice place, nice atmosphere, cheap prices, but nothing special at all
S. S.
Really busy most of the time and full of rowdy crowd getting in the way when trying to walk from the station, making the place a mess with cigarette butts and beer all over the place
V. S.
Good place for a pint or for a quick social gathering.
T. E.
Just a local spot close to the tube to refresh yourself in a calm environment
D. B.
Sky Sports and good selection of lagers. Only one draught bitter though.

(Translated) It's not clean, and the toilet is in the middle, so it smells like a toilet, but it's just in front of the station and it's busy so it's hard to get in.
It's always crowded so it's hard to find a seat, but it makes me think that it's okay to stand and drink. The price is cheap. That's why it is popular. It's like a commoner's shop.
If time is early, you can sit down. Personally, I like the interior Maidenhead (the statue of the goddess on the bow of the Western ship) because it's creepy (laughs)
(Original)
