Very easy to get to being a stone's throw from Old Street tube this venue is both a club and live music venue.
Entry was well managed but seemed a little slow with the door staff being fine. Once in there all the normal amenities one expects. The bar downstairs only served beer in cans but was well staffed and service was quick and pricing was not outrageous.
The sound is excellent but stage lighting is clearly designed to frustrate photographers. Went to see live music and the place is fine for this.
Ample loos but no soap in any of the dispensers, this is basic stuff so one star knocked off.

Nice relaxed easy going venue.
Cloakroom absolute disaster not at all for the sake of the assistants it on their own they did their best. & £3 per item feel slightly bumped. As well near on £5 each for water - complete joke especially if you don’t drink alcohol. Could have done with some more toilets too. Apart from that the security were firm but fair and found them polite and friendly.

There was a Student Night party, it was very good until Dj has decided to give his mic to some people to sing like all same vibe of the music. I believe it put everyone a little bit down. Beside that good price drinks and nice quality of music

Fabulous All Inclusive Five Star Clubbing Experience.
Falling over myself to know where to start, have been to this brill venue a number of times over the years, on so many levels you tick all my boxes.
When celebrating my 63rd Birthday weekend and taking advantage of the Dalston Roof Park Saturday afternoon warm up combo ticket with XOYO, yet again I felt so comfortable in this no attitude venue, you so can be yourself by what you wear (more often personally very little!) and how you dance.
To highlight just how inclusive, more recently I met Susan wearing a glamourous sequin dress, for eight years this 'lady' has been coming to the club with the full support of his wife.
XOYO is one of the very few clubs that offers a DJ residency and is a great attraction, The Blessed Madonna and Dimitri From Paris have always blown me away.
Offering two rooms with the main attraction downstairs (I love the raised stage where you can also boogie) this venue also has the added appeal of 'Less is more' some clubs which have multiple rooms is not always an advantage.
The ground floor smaller room usually has an all night DJ, with plenty of chillout area seating, so often lacking elsewhere. Catching up with the fab HI-FI Sean in this room after so long was a great joy.
DJ Joshua James an XOYO regular, your sets are mind blowing.
With friendly security, lovely bar staff, terrific lighting and an imaginative events line up, well done!

Had another excellent night at XOYO! I come all the way from the wilds of west West Wales for Drum and Bass events here. Been coming for years, but last summer it was for the Goldie residency - wicked! Last weekend it was classics of DnB played by a 16-piece orchestra! Have to give a big shout out to Russ and all the Security Crew who not only helped me find my lost iPhone, but also held on to my treats for me while I partied away inside - never rude and ever helpful. The band was ON FIRE! The lead singer was infectiously effervescent, with a sweet and powerful voice, and that poor, poor drummer - 180bpm… - deserves a medal. Thank you XOYO for your dedication to holding innovative and legendary DnB events. Can’t wait for more. Big Ups!!
B.
Good space with two floors so you can choose to have a relaxed boogie or an all out rave. Good array of drinks as well. Security is very OTT a lot of people being knocked back and no chance of getting back in if you've left. Probably a better fit for under 25's

Came all the way from Bristol for a Crucast night. Skipping a paragraph-worth of emotions - What. A. Night!
Loved the layout of the club, the interior, the sound and the staff. Easy cloakroom service, bartenders that know what they’re doing and a nice pair of free earplugs. One of the best nights in a while.
The only note - calm your doormen. I fully understand the stress of their job, but there’s a difference between attentive and patronizing.

Had a bit of a scary experience where I (a usual skeptic) thought I’d been potentially pricked with something as I had a weird mark on my arm. I went to the bar and the security and medic were so kind and helpful. Luckily it had just been some weirdo grabbing my arm and leaving a nail scratch like the medic on site had said but I just wanted to say I really appreciated the kindness and care I received
M. N.
Sound system proper crisp
Main room not massive in a good way
Stairs to stage on the left are slippy, watch out
Security are great, no problems

This club is so so much fun! The security does a great job at being respectful and keeping everyone safe. The music was amazing, great sound system.

Absolutely crazy fun filled night had here in XOYO! If you like dark clubs where you can really appreciate the music then this is the place you want to be. I went on a Saturday, security was friendly and they do a good search at the door so I felt like I'd be safe in there. Upon entering on the ground level you are greeted with a really dark bar where you can get a couple of drinks to get ready for the main event downstairs. It's super atmospheric with the ceiling covered in leaves and vines, almost like a tropical rainforest when the fog machine starts pumping. Lazers scan the area as you are introduced to music that helps you get into the zone. A couple of drinks later and you are allowed downstairs to the main area with the big DJs. Everyone in the club seemed like they were in a really good mood and the vibe was perfect. No bad vibes here. The main DJ set downstairs (too many DJs) blew my mind as the night went on. Superb crowd and good service, never had to wait long for a drink, either. Toilets were oddly clean and easy to get to without a queue when it was packed on the floor. Drinks where priced as you would expect from a club in London. Also if you need a breather there is a space upstairs to sit with friends for a chat and also an area outside for a smoke break. The place is kept clear of used drinks containers pretty quikly by staff so no tripping up on diagarded bottles ever step. So if you are considering a night out with friends I would whole heartedly recommend this club! Thank you to any staff member reading this, I am already planning my next visit!

First time in xoyo few weeks back for my 21st, the vibes were good and met some nice people, bouncers were fine and it was easy to get into, overall a good night just wish the music was better.
L. G.
The setting is very nice, but the music is very commercial. I recommend it for students that want to meet some people, but jot for music connoisseurs. And it’s very expensive.
S.
Proper London Drum and Bass. As an American visiting, showed up here and it seemed like the part was just getting started at 3am. Clearly a happening place, but luckily we knew someone to put us on a list. Seemed there was a huge line (or queue as the locals say) to get in. Pretty fun but wow.
D. M.
Wonderful service had an amazing night will definitely go again without a doubt one of the best clubs in London definitely visit if you have the chance no regrets
M. S.
bit small and first floor room 1 was really hot and queue took forever but the water service was on point. also bathrooms had no locks??
d.
Wicked little club, been for a couple of drum and bass nights which were both on fire, especially the Calibre residency in 2019. The main room was a proper sweat box but sound was good, just a bit over packed for my liking. Sound in the upstairs bar room area is also spot on.
Z.
2 rooms and a bangin' sound system, love the deep base when you can feel it through your toes. The music changes regularly so know what you're going in for. The loos are tiny for 850 capacity and air circulation is poor in the main room (basement) but you can expect to get sweaty on a good night out!
A word for the lads - keep your hands to yourself and ladies don't hesitate to tell security if the boys get too friendly, they are there to help.
We all just want to have a fun night out.
H. S.
Was a good location for my first club night. Lots of security makes you feel safe, music was a bit repetitive after a while and the drinks tasted quite weak but overall was a decent time
C. M.
Top floor with bar was extremely dark and not that great, £9 for a single rum and coke is too much as well, but downstairs rave area is much better
R. V.
I got to see Oscar and the Wolf yestersay and it was the best concert of my life. The venue is small and intimate which make for a torrid atmosphere!!!!! Please invite him to play again!!!!
A. A.
Great venue for a late night session, can be a bit expensive but awesome never the less! Good dj's and great atmosphere, make sure you have £2 for the cloak room!!
C. G. J.
Great venue!
I've been here twice, once for a Thundercat gig and then again for a Horse Meat Disco night
Loved both events although it got really crowded after the Thundercat gig.
Two dance areas over two floors, decent drinks selection and nice toilets, cool venue.
M. C.
Becca, Ayce, JP, Bas teh head doorman was amazinf! and best security in london!! theyre amazing!!
A. G.
Nice place where you can feel the vibe of London’s clubbing! It is worth paying a visit 😇
T. Z. (. G.
Small gigs venue. Good fun.
W. M.
Sound system is insane, staff are friendly, will defo be back
P. S.
Great underground club, awesome dj's, sound is amazing, staff are friendly and the security don't make your life horrible. Love the weekend club nights, the techno events and the drum and bass events but I don't go during the week as it's student nights. No suits and no pretentious people just the crew the loves the music. They host live gigs - favourite one is the history of drum and bass.
C. B.
Loud, as expected, but quiet fur attendance, decent beats
N. H.
Went to a brilliant Nimmo gig here last month, great atmosphere. Beers were a little on the pricey side though
R.
Had a pretty good experience at XOYO tonight. Thoroughly searched when entering the club, and bouncers weren't bad.
Sound system was very good, as well as the lighting in the downstairs room. Two floors made for nice range of music. Club wasn't too crowded or overheated and crowd was decent.
Would go back again.
T. S.
The music was pretty terrible on the bottom floor (was too quiet and the DJ only played grime and songs most people didn't know). The top floor made up for it however as the DJ was much better and played good dance music. Lights were amazing and great atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and efficient. Drinks were overpriced for a student night and ended up spending a lot more than I planned. But overall I had a great night so would recommend the club, but not necessarily a student night.
N. a.
Quite expensive entrance, but totally worth it. Despite 800 capacity, the venue creates an intimate setting. There are two rooms with dance floors and bars (both are great). Music is not too loud so your ears won't hurt. Would highly recommend it.
If you want to get discounts and look inside the club before you go, we have an app which helps with that: bit.ly/Nightset_App
R. H.
Had a really fun night here, not fancy by all means but a cool little place! Drinks choices are a bit limited. Good mix of music, pretty friendly staff and a great manager behind the bar who seems to look out for women to make sure theyre drinking safely and not being taken advantage of. He also kindly replaced my drink when it was knocked over. Would definitely go here again!
A. L.
Clean, dark and they only charged me £1 for a lime and soda! The sound system downstairs is brilliant.
P. S.
It's great dance club! Downstais packed, but the green room upstairs was just perfect. Amazing lights, quality of sound, amazing DJ set. The bouncers were very professional, not intrusive but paying a lot of attention and helpful.
A.
A great club venue, with an excellent selection of acts and plenty of space... however, layout prevents it from being as intimate as similarly sized venues, which hurts it's appeal as a rock venue. Could be an excellent club but, as I was there for the aforementioned rock, I wasn't super impressed. Staff was super friendly, but definitely more geared towards shuffling the drunken masses through their source. Not that the space doesn't have potential, which it does. I'll say, it's a great place to come to dance, but perhaps not the best for your favourite indie acts.
i.
Great venue to attend. There are 2 rooms, one in which acts play and a smaller room/bar. The room in which acts play is quite small and can get very cramped. View of the stage is limiting also. In terms of sound quality you won't be disappointed. The energy can be felt once you're there so I would highly recommended it.
A. C.
The best club so far in my trip to London.amazing músic. From the minute we got in we feel welcome.
The bouncer, the Door girl, bar staff was friendly and fast, we did not Walt long to be served.
H. H.
People who work here are great. bouncers are all very friendly. Sound system and lights create an amazing atmosphere. Go on Saturday for Pleasurehood very good resident DJs. Wish we had clubs like this in America. Buy a ticket online to avoid the door fee
I. S.
Well run nightclub. Security have thoroughly checked our bags on arrival. 2 decently sized dance-floor rooms with bars. Drinks were moderately priced (£5 for a Gin & Tonic). The staff were constantly checking the floor for spillages, efficiently clearing up any mess & collecting empty glasses. They also have a cloakroom facility. Good vibe & great atmosphere.
t. z.
Security guys very friendly..very cool music..
Tuesday is students night..two dance floors,
Downstairs at the basement is spicious..I would tell my friends to come here ..
S. P.
Saw Harvey there who was great and there was a good atmosphere there too. Feel compelled to leave a review, however, as some of the security staff were rude and clearly on the classic bouncer power trip. The smoking area is a horrible experience, you're basically put into a smoking queue and constantly harassed to keep moving along the queue. They really need to sort this out as for a lot of people (myself included), the smoking area is a chance to get a break from the mayhem of the dance floor, get some fresh air and actually have a conversation.
Good night overshadowed by a few bad eggs in the security staff and a terrible smoking area.
A. G.
Went here with some friends for my birthday. The drinks were reasonably priced for London and we also had an area to ourselves which was given free of charge. There are 2 rooms with different music but even so the music was nothing special. We enjoyed ourselves but the overall experience felt a bit lacking.
S. S.
Quirky and funky venue with a nice vibe, cool lighting and extremely mixed crowd. Pleasant staff, security is strict but polite. They will ask you to keep it down in the smoking area due to proximity with residential neighbours, so don't be all butthurt. The crowd gets increasingly strange in the early hours but have never failed to have a good night at this venue!
B. T.
Nice venue for a drink and also great for a proper night out. The club downstairs has a good soundsystem and always good lineups. Always had good experiences at XOYO! Worth checking their website and signing up to their newsletter to find out what's going and get tickets before they sell out.
M. E.
Bar staff was really nice and the venue really cool, I had a great time at the show. Only reason I’m only giving 3 stars is because of the security. I didn’t realize everything was cash only if you don’t have a card that doesn’t require a signature so the bartender told me to ask security if I could go to the ATM around the corner. I get permission from all three security guards standing outside and ran to the ATM and back. I was gone probably 3 minutes and the security guard checking IDs starts asking me why I was gone so long. I laugh because I thought he was kidding and he tells me it’s not a joke and next time I’ll be kicked out for “taking too long”. He was just overall rude, threatening and aggressive acting like I had been doing something horrible in the 3 minutes it took me to run to the ATM.
A. T.
I had a great night, i guess it depends on what your into.
If you like loud music techo/ trance, this would be your gig. I loved the music.
The crowd was mixed, but tended to be more of a younger mix. The light effects really impressed my group.
Would come here again to dance
T. B.
We went to Duskys friday night residency. The sound system is good, the main room is bouncing but the techno was boring so we went upstairs in the green room for some disco house - this is a good club and well worth a visit. If you like D&B I think they put some sick nights on here.
K. B.
It ain't glamorous, and ain't perfect. It's a little dark and dingy...
It'll take you 15-20min to get through the lineup... And another 10-15 to get inside and grab your first drink (2 bottled beer available 5-5.5£ ea) and then into the groove.
But once you have, this place on a Saturday, holds the heart of classic house music!
Mixed ages crowd from 20s to 40s
A. J.
Definitely one the best smaller club venues in London. Staff are friendly, quick service at the bar, relatively clean, and top quality line-ups. The summer series events are always really good and the sound system is clear with good bass response.
S. S.
Me and my wife went to xoyo on friday, for their new resident DJ Hunee whom were both a massive fan of and previously saw at XOYO while he supported Ben UFO! We got there early to avoid the expected queue 'n' to ensure we could both purchase tickets!! It didn't take long to pass through security ect. And overall the night was amazing, the sound was pure class, along with the amazing lights display, which thankfully wasn't hindered by many phone flashlights (which is a nightmare in most london clubs)! I only ordered my drinks downstairs as the difference between attitudes of the bartenders in both rooms was evident as soon as you stepped in, upstairs bar was served with a frown, were as downstairs, the smiles and service was amazing! Im CERTAIN they were enjoying themselves as much as me!! Made it very easy to spend my money!! The downside to the night was an inappropriate security guard who kept popping up and making my wife feel extremely uncomfortable, it got worse when he realised she was also Portuguese! I spoke to who I believed to be "head doorman" and was told "not my staff"! At that point we left! I'm not too sure what the difference in security were, but the young lads in black vests outside were run off their feet trying to make sure everyone fit in the smoking area, yet never broke character and kept smiling throughout! When leaving I was kindly notified that there was "no re-entry" and told to "get home safe"
I've always enjoyed my times at XOYO, however I hope they change certain staff members before I come back!
N. R.
This venue is a musicians dream, a wide, shallow room, a spacious stage and a brilliant sound system. I can only assume the number of negative reviews most come from some kind of naf club nights they run? But for live music it really is the perfect place. The main room is nice and dark two bars means it's easy to get a served, the smoking section upstairs is cool, like a Berlin Subway station, the staff were overwhelmingly nice, even the bouncers were smiley and helpful, it was almost like being in a different city! This is definitely one of my favourite venues in London, so glad it opened up.
J. M.
speaker system was amongst the more heavy ones around which is ideal for dance house so big plus there. good vibes and good people and reasonably priced drinks so what more could you want! ✨
A. A.
The best time of my life.
We been in Xoyo tonight, great security and lovely staff.
Especial thanks to the bartenders, Duarte was the best, quick, clean and perfect. Loved him ❤️
M. N.
Very fun and lively, but if you have an international credit card you cannot buy drinks.
S. 8.
I was invited back stage for Calibre & Friends for my stag do. Great performances and wicked venue. Get there early as the queue was long when I arrived, I was glad I had queue jump !
A. A.
Awesome venue, really intimate and great atmosphere.
K. W.
music: great drinks: fantastic interior: design. a must when you are in east london....
d. v.
Been here a few times now and it never disappoints, but last Saturday was especially sick. Arts House popped off! Sick soundsytsem, sick light system, lots of space to dance. The drinks weren't extortionate and the crowd were really friendly as well, loads of like minded people that are just there for the tunes. Anyone that hasn't been I'd defo recommend
R. W.
If you want to meet new people you can go to the top floor smoking room. Good club. I bought a ticket online to avoid the door fee. I recommend it.
A. C.
Overall not a bad club lots of drinks to partake in and the crowds can be large although it's well worth the wait to get in and get your groove on. If you're visiting London this is one place that you need to make time to visit. Did see quite a few drugs being sold/used in the establishment but I believe that's normal for this type of venue.
d. m.
Great atmosphere and sound system. Door staff are amazing. Never come across such friendly security, made sure everyone who was a bit messy were OK and looked after and they were all up for a laugh. Look forward to going back in the future
D. P.
Bit hard to find but worth it.
Having randomly won a competition to see Mt. Wolf here, it was a bit hard to find, only because it isn't somewhere I expected a gig venue to be.
When you get in, there's a long bar upstairs and a cloakroom to use, once the gig starts, it will be downstairs with another big bar to get served at.
The good thing about the venue is how it is a long venue, so quite easy to see the stage and see the band you've come to see, there is also a seating (maybe) and raised standing (definitely) area at the back so can still see further back.
I don't remember it being too expensive and the fact it is a 5 minute walk to Old Street was ideal.
R. V. (.
I attended the destiny's Child Orchestra evening, was so much fun! A completly new experience and the crowd was live. Its definitely worth the money so if you have a spare evening and what to try something different definitely go.
S. X.
Expensive entrance (£20) but otherwise good. Two different dance-rooms with separate DJs, very much enjoyed the disco/funk music they played upstairs, downstairs was a great experience too. Check out their website for what events are on if you like specific music – really helps.
D. K.
Saw Jacob Banks here in Jan '14 and what a fantastic little venue. Really small so able to get up close with the acts yet still sounds really good too. Didn't stay after the gig but the atmosphere was great and I imagine would be a fantastic club night also. Only wish I'd discovered it when I was a little younger!
T. D.
As horrid nightclubs go it was OK, fairly small on two levels, layout was a bit interesting, the bar and door staff were cool, drinks were reasonable the DJ on a Sunday was very good, Blu Cantrell may have been slightly past her prime.
G. D.
Great lineups, great music, hosting Mount Kimbie is not for everyone for exercise but there is more.
Drinks are served both at ground floor and downstairs.
Cool lights downstairs, with a good sound coming to the ears.
Not the biggest place, but it has a kind of cozy feeling upstairs.
Organised staff keeping the place looking good and not full of glasses and bottles.
S. D.
The space is cool (dark and a bit boxy, like venues ought to be) but the sound's not great and their staff always seem full of attitude; I’ve always queued here, even last night when the bouncer wouldn’t believe we were DJing and we had to call someone to let us in. Bar staff seem nice though, and drinks aren’t too pricey (£4 for a full plastic cup of wine).
All in all, this place is OK when it could be great; I’ll be saving my XO’s for somewhere that isn’t XOYO.
C. M.
XOYO is one of my favourite clubs in London! The sound is the basement is killer, and the variety of music programming is really solid. They bring in a bit of something for basically everyone. Never had an issue with door or bar staff, they’ve always been polite and attentive.
A.
Very nice establishment! Was welcomed by Daniela at the entrance who did a very good job!! Good music and good people!! We have also found a friend's lost phone that the found staff found! Thanks Mike and everyone from the staff!
K. L.
My friend lost her bank card the other night and she realised when the club was closing , I explained to a very nice girl that works here & she let me inside the club again, helped me to look for it ,and finally find it!!! They were really nice & polite! and the music was SO good 😊😊😊
C. B.
Fun club, great music, a cool vibe! Went there a couple of times on my visit and as a solo backpacker I made friends each time quite easily, especially if you spend time in the top floor smoking room.
V. R.
Had a wicked time! Saw Solardo and Claude Von Stroke here a month or so back. The lights were mental, drinks were cheap and the security were actually pretty nice. Would definitely recommend, looking forward to coming back later this month
C.
Before writing this, I was reading some of the reviews and the first thing I'd say is Do Your Homework before coming!!! This club is for a particular crowd: if you expect to hear Top 40 radio music while getting served at a table, this ain't your place! House is the main thing as Tiga is their resident Dj, so bare this in mind. Yes, it's crowded, hot and hard to get drinks but this is the environment for this kind of music, kids! They have 2 spaces, the main one in the basement. Beer on tap is not available and bottles cost £5.5 each. A drink (i.e.: vodka + Red Bull) are 5.5£ each so it's cheaper to go for these. Smoking area is on the street, small and crowded. Bouncers keep asking people to keep quiet (they have to keep it down to not be on the growing list of closing venues in London). I found the staff and bouncers to be nice... Rooms can be very dark and full of smoke. They are happy to give you tap water if you need it for free. People come here to dance their souls off!
A. L.
I had an amazing night at Metalheadz at XOYO, unfortunately at the end a random guy felt it was ok to touch my bum. My friend told them off and they continued acting like idiots until the bouncers got involved. I was so impressed by their zero tolerance to harassment, they acted on it straight away and the venue manager was super sweet. Instead of ending the night on a low it really gives me hope when clubs show this support, big up XOYO- I hope the rest of our London clubs follow in your way of thinking and acting.
Z. A.
I went, Atmosphere is nice, the bar staff are cool. Only 1 thing(amerie) The bouncers are sooooo rruuuuuddde! I got mistaken for some one else who ordered at the bar and was called over to the bar. During this, the bouncer was pushing me unnecessarily (as if i'm a drunkard when I didn't even drink as sip of alcohol lol). Even when I was stood still, waiting at the bar with them patiently, he continued to keep pushing me with every rotation of my body. After they realised the mistake, they rudely gestured me to go back into the crowd. Little things can kill a night. There's one thing doing something wrong but the fact that you can be mistaken for that person just shows how this world is more unstable than you think.
W. L.
Huge two-floor clubs with a young crowd. I'm not a big fan of EDM so the music was not my cup of tea. It gets crowded after midnight so do be fashionably late. The clock room charges us £2 for keeping the umbrella with the coat. That's ridiculous!
P. L.
Genuinely think this is one of the worst venues in London. Luckily for the owners, they put on some amazing nights so I've still been back a few times. Every time I go hoping that I will like it more - and I had high hopes following their redesign, which to fair, has made the downstairs space much better. The bar has been extended along the whole side wall and 20 minute queues to get a drink are no more. Unfortunately they did nothing to change the layout upstairs however. The front entrance, the entrance to the upstairs bar, the smoking room exit, downstairs access AND both cloakroom queues all fighting for space in the smallest foyer imaginable. Because of this, other faults like not serving draught cider, become more annoying. I won't be back (hopefully).
M. P.
Went to see Bicep alongside The Black Madonna and Horse Meat Disco and it was unbelievably good!
Soundsystem on point, crowd was really friendly and we dance all night long.
Class venue, class artist, class sound, overall a class night!
D. M.
Good atmosphere and the prices were decent. But too many people packed in not enough room to breath and the house music was dreadful. Was brain dead after an hour. Never want to listen to that rubbish again
K. W.
Just small enough to feel intimate. Felt like it was well ventilated and the system delivered talky good sound without making my ears hurt. Looking forward to seeing other acts here.
T. S.
Been going to xoyo forever my recent experience ive been coming every friday early to the andy c residencies since the start. Staff are very friendly they know who i am week after week jake is a don aswell always see him set up the que railings outside always talks to me. Even the bartender knows what drinks i like week after week. Thank you for having me at your venue its been home week after week i cant wait till every friday
A. J.
Has evolved into a world-class club after it's major refurbishment in 2012. Two enormous rooms both equipped with cutting-edge sound systems and beautiful lighting play host to drum & bass, house, garage and grime alike.
C. T.
XOYO is predominantly a place that knows its electronic noise and the inside feels like the perfect spot for it. With an industrial basement feel, I ended up here listening to an acoustic gig oddly enough but it fitted surprisingly well. The only issue is the way the stage is positioned means a fair few people ended up squashed into a wall, not quite able to see the stage. Looking at typical nights XOYO puts on though, that's not likely to be a real issue though. £2 for a tap coke might be though.
S. R.
Great music! Amazing light system, almost hypnotising haha. Definitely recommend going here. If you're not from London you might find the entrance fee too expensive (£25). But it's worth it! Unfortunately they don't allow you to take pictures or videos inside.
M. B.
Really good for small gigs. The decor is awesome. Room is cozy, so you get very involved to the show. Drinks are overpriced.
A.
Great ambience, music. The multi level floored concept is very good! The drinks were decent. The EDM beats it all. Glad spent a evening here while my trip
J. T.
Although i didn’t get in, staff at XOYO we’re very kind and accommodating, Jake and Sergio makes sure my friend was okay and walked me through an area I didn’t feel comfortable in to make sure I was safe. Would highly recommend for security alone!
L. F.
Only ever been here to watch various gigs and each time had a blast... it's not as conducive as other venues which offer better acoustics and atmosphere but still a great venue.
D. F.
The events that I've been to here have been some of the best that ive ever been to, there's always a great mix of artists here and as its a smaller venue you have the chance to get up close and personal with them. If my favourite artists ever perform here, I'll definitely be here!
C. G.
I always visit XOYO on a Thursday & the security outside always deal with altercations quickly whilst the cloak room staff deal with lost and found extremely welll. Stewards are always polite especially Jake who was particularly friendly and helpful.
B. S.
Had a great night last night, hard to believe all the poor reviews!
Omar S was amazing. Bit too sweaty, drinks aren't any more expensive than any other London clubs, and the sound was OK. Needs a bigger smoking area.
T.
Went to xoyo for the first time as a last hurrah with my work colleagues (ironic I know) and it started off good but the music dwindle by 2am, the choice of tunes were very limited. This was very disappointing considering I was told it was their hip hop, RnB and bashment night, but anyway for my first type of night out in London it was okay. Lol
R. R.
Get there early! Queing is totally disorganised - even with tickets, we had to queue for an hour, only to find it wasn't that busy inside. Enjoyed the set, but we had people pushing past us continually in the main room.
J. S.
A great music Club all sounds do like
M. D.
Had the best time at XOYO! Ask for Jake, he's the best steward. All the staff are really nice, really friendly. Best night club in London!
Y. S.
I had such a great night! The security and the staff were so kind, Would defiantly recommend going to a DnB night, the sound system is great!
M. M.
Xoyo is the place to be!! Every night a good night especially tuesdays and Thursday’s!! Staff always helpful!! Head door man humble and nice!! Stewards always friendly, jake is always there always happy to help and clearly always stay calm under pressure!
K. G.
A small and intimate venue close to Old Street. Due to it's size it is unlikely to attract well known acts, but it does attract interesting ones. Warning: The PA speakers in front of the stage are VERY loud!
M. K.
Fun club and probably the best venue in London for house music (Fabric holds the title for techno and dnb - Egg is worth mentioning but XOYO has the best residents and consistently brings in a super strong lineup). Two rooms: semi-big upstairs (but dance floor can be blocked on crowded nights by people waiting for coats on one side and drinks on the other) and big downstairs with bar at the opposite end as the booth. Sound system in both rooms is good but the lazers upstars are way cooler (haha... totally subjective). Definitely another example (like Fabric) of a "music-focused" club but because its London, half of the crowd on any given night are more "experience-focused" tourists who may not know the dj or the music that well but are just looking for a fun night out. On any given night (always depends on the dj and how many real fans come out) the vibe downstairs can be really amazing, super hot and sweaty with everyone dancing to amazing house music together.
V. C.
Great little venue that gets in some big names, Making it a very intimate space. Prices are ok, and facilities standard. Sound system though is very good indeed. With a visit.
A. L.
The place seems all right, the sound could be improved especially when big events take place. The prices are a bit too much for the quality of the drinks or the friendliness of the staff.
G. F.
Great artists and good venue, saw Baauer and s-type there last night. Slightly dampened night when i was threatened by another club-goer who said he was going to "peel my face off and dice it up with a knife", fortunately after informing the bouncers of this, they dealt with him very aptly. Thank you xoyo
G. E.
Loved It! Wicked sound system and a great turn out. Staff were friendly too. Would recommend to all looking for a night out clubbing
M. M.
I went here for the Andy C residency night and it was brilliant! Venue was busy but not overcrowded and the sound system was really clear. Drinks are overpriced but then you are technically in a London nightclub.
J. H.
Attended a Frank Ocean Orchestra at XOYO. It was awesome but I would have liked to come back when it’s a bigger show. The venue has the potentially to be a great night out.
A. H.
Attended one of the orchestra sessions (that are very cool and worth attending). The venue itself is just an average club, could do with a bit of a refresh.
B. P.
Awesome night, great crowd, amazing friendly tour guides who looked after us throughout!, great vibe all night and every bar. would do this again easily. I highly recommend this!
D. S.
Xoyo is a great venue two rooms, typical London drink prices, cloakroom on offer. A great place to get down and throw some Shapes. I saw Artwork presents The Big Apple Reunion featuring Skream and Benga which was an awesome night!! Saturday nights they host a house night! Shoreditch is a great area for a night out!
P. W.
Not really my cup of tea. Sound level in high tones was reaching “uncomfortable” levels. 5 out of 10 really. Warm up set much better than the main one
G. d. K.
Gabriels Birthday was fantastic at this club.
I saw a really cute boy and i felt in love with him.
10/10 would go again
L. W.
Great sound system and lighting that really compliments the music, creating an immersive experience. will return many times judging by the top class lineups booked. on a par with the new phonox in brixton, xoyo is my favourite club in london!
A. A.
it's a nice place, but very expensive
C. M.
A club night and gig night venue.
Downstairs hosts a stage and bar area with a great sound desk.
Live music shows 'grammy' award winning artists.
Thundercat & Hiatus Kaiyote performed there last week and solidified this venue as a good place to see live acts for me personally.
A. B. v.
XOYO is one of the greatest club in London right now, the music is fantastic, you get to see amazing DJs, the lights and the lasers are something that you don't see every where, the bar staff are very polite, you don't get to wait something ridiculous to order a drinks, they are fast, but at the same time friendly,. Nice experience
C.
The music was ok but I still cannot put my finger on the genre. Not alot of recent music played but then again I went on a Tuesday. I can imagine it is alot better on a weekend and will be back.
J. M.
Good place to go dance but make sure you check the event for the night to know which kind of music it will be played. Size and temperature of the place is great.
C.
Moe was a lovely bouncer. Looked after us and made sure we're okay. Chat game was strong ;)
C. D.
I loved this place because it had many things I liked drinking and was a great experience for me in having.
J. C.
At times found it to be very compact and overcrowded. Although with this in mind, one of the best in Shoreditch for a good night out with headline artists.
L. Q.
was only there for the destinys child tribute. one type or rose and type of white. both awful. wouldn't hurt to add a few varieties. won't go back as I like my wines.
C. B.
Cool venue, but they sell capacity based on 2 floors...knowing full well nobody will be on the second floor during the main event! Couldn't move!
E.
Never had any problems with the place. Staff are on it. Door staff good. Great line ups. Good sound system. Get in there.
S. R.
Love this little hole. But some decent refreshments wouldn't go a miss. Drink menu left me dry mouthed, queezy, and skint.
L. H.
Reliably on point line ups every week, no compromise on music taste to pull in more punters. The 2 Bears residency has been a clubbing highlight of the year.
R. O.
Great place, great music for the night, everyone was having a good time and the vibes were really good. A night to remember.
J. C.
Amazing place, fantastic atmosphere, awesome dance floor. Can't wait to go again
A. S.
The best djs and and a cool club. Sound system is die for. Dance til your toes go numb - sleep when you're dead!
R. D.
I had a super lovely time last night @ Xoyo
Great venue, nice staff, fair prices.... Thanks guys for a great gig!
S.
It's sweaty, over priced venue, this is London though. Some great acts every so often and can be very cheap if you get your tickets early.
J. P.
Saw Ewart and The Two Dragons here. Great venue, polished sound.
Great gig venue, haven't tried the club night...
D. W.
Some of the best lineups in London, but the queues are long, the smoking area is tiny and the sound system can occasionally let it down
K. A.
Belting venue, anywhere with a disco ball gets my vote.
DJ Harvey residency? F**k off levels of impressed.
Friendly staff.
J. F.
Wicked nightclub, saw Motor City Drum Ensemble play to a packed dancefloor. One of the best nights out to be had in London
O.
Saw TQD here a while back, sick atmosphere. Friendly bar/security staff, cheap drinks and very easy to get to. Looking forward to coming back
A. K.
Lovely venue, great to see up and coming artists perform in a hip and lively atmosphere
J. L.
Music is usually decent and get great acts there but it's way too packed on a busy night.
A. C.
Small, fairly cramped venue. We waited in a tiny corridor for 20mins before we were let in. Bit chaotic.
S.
Its lit
R. T.
Cheap drinks and good atmosphere. Floor was sticky AF (but what else do you expect? Haha)
M. V.
not a bad place, worth to go but carefull with the fake blond waiter....shes was rude enough to make me refer to her here on the comments.....if you see her....run away and order from the other staff cause they are way more professional and gentle
J. M.
I attended a Malta Ace show. It's an small venue but in a very convenient location. The staff was friendly and helpful
P.
Decent night seeing Dele Sosimi but the club night was way too busy, pushed right to capacity if not over.
R. A.
Went with my girl for her birthday party was good, dance floor was good could do with more rooms
V. M. J.
I had a Fab time, thank you also Lamar for a great experience definitely coming back soon!
G. H.
Great DJ's but very pricey. The sound system + atmosphere = INCREDIBLE!!
C. O.
Great spot. Bouncers don't let you in with bottled water though. Even if it's sealed. Annoying.
R. M.
Cracking vibes. The 2 Bears on point as ever.. mixed with Jarvis Cocker dropping blinders in room 2, banging atmosphere to boot - until next time XOYO!
S. B. S.
Smoking area, fast drinks but still alright, and good to be able to go in between different music
D. P.
Great line ups complimented by a kick ass sound system and lights show, definitely worth checking out!
M. M.
Really fun and cool vibe, saw LEMAITRE underground and it was a complete blast, drink prices are a little pricey but show me a place in London that is different
T. S.
Variable according to who is playing but a busy popular club. Decent sound system and great staff.
K. P.
Amazing venue. Great music. Open late. Favourite place for a big night
J. C.
Meh, depends on the evening but crowd was always a bit dry and the atmosphere and vibe never picked up
R. W.
Nice venue, depending on the night you go the crowd usually has a good vibe
A. K.
I’ve been in XOYO, best service, fast, clean and quality.
Thanks Duarte to look after ya tonight 😎👌
J. A.

J. H.

K. P.
Quite a good night out however don't go on techno night music was horrible and wouldn't go again on one of those nights
C. G.

N. N.
Always have a fun night here. Good crowd and even better DJs
A. S.
Drinks are quite pricey. Sound from live band was not great due to room ergornomics
D. D.
Cool place. Good music. Queuing needs attention even with a ticket
N. N.
Great Venue with good music, keeping in line with current trends, I would recommend here for a good night out!
A. B.

F. B.
Definitely one of the best clubs out there! Very friendly staff and highly recommended
B. E.
Good sound and ventilation but the loos are really hard to get to if you're enjoying music at the wrong end of the disco floor
A. G.
I believe the measure of any bar is the start of their toilets and here they are clean.
C. O.
This club is my Mecca.
Great sound, staff and line-ups and it just keeps getting better.
E. P.
Fantastic service. Bouncers were total gentlemen. Really looked after my friend. Brilliant.
T. P.
On a Tuesday this place gets rammed, probably because the
Drinks are a good price and the rest of London is dead on a Tuesday.
P. P.
Mid sized club, two floors. Space is ok, crowd and vibe depends on the night
S. S. (.
Went to the club on event day. Not too crowded and the drink price is reachable.
V. S.
Good club located near to Liverpool Street station. Friendly staff. Could do with a makeover..
J. E.
