If you want your wedding to go with a swing then there really is only one person you need Barney from Party Events. We were honoured to have him do our wedding music and be our MC for our special day then into the evening disco. He was very professional but also a great laugh. When we first meet Barney we knew instantly he was the one to be our DJ nothing was a problem. We had so many comments on how fantastic our Wedding DJ was. I can highly recommend Barney and Party Events if I could give more than 5 stars I would definitely 10 out of 10. We can't thank Barney enough for making our day sparkle.

Barney is not your typical wedding DJ - he is much more than that. He was there for the duration of the day, taking care of the ceremony, drinks reception and wedding breakfast music as well as the evening party. We spoke to him at length before the wedding so that he had a good idea of our taste and the type of atmosphere we wanted to create. He was a wonderful MC and host throughout the day, with a great sense of humour (and zero cheese!). The evening music was absolutely amazing - Barney's expertise was obvious - he knows just what to play to get people dancing, without being cheesy. Plus he actually mixes - some of our guest said it was more like being in a club than at a wedding, which if you ask me is definitely a good thing. Thank you so much Barney, you made a huge difference to our special day.

Barney was our compere and wedding DJ and was extremely helpful in the run-up to the big day. He asked us many questions which helped him get a detailed understanding of what exactly we wanted on the day. The whole wedding day ran seamlessly thanks to his amazing compering. Barney promised us an exceptional wedding party and he certainly didn’t disappoint! As soon as we met him we knew the whole day would be fabulous and we had to book him straight away. Originally we were just looking for a DJ but after meeting Barney we asked him to be our Master of Ceremonies too because of he was full of great ideas and had such a fun attitude. Music is an enormous part of our lives and we wanted a DJ who we could trust to play some of our favourite tunes but also keep everyone on the dancefloor and appeal to all ages. His website was extremely useful to compile a playlist that he could work his magic with. He managed to keep people on the dancefloor all night and we had lots of compliments that it was the best wedding playlist ever! Barney had some fantastic ideas such as a ‘lovely story’ that he used to introduced us with before our ‘Grand Entrance’ to the wedding breakfast which people loved. He sent us lots of useful information and tips on writing speeches and was a big help on the day setting up the microphone so it all ran smoothly. His equipment looked very smart and professional but he also offers lovely lighting effects to transform what might be a rather dull room into a spectacular venue! Barney was great to work with from start to finish and coordinated really well with the hotel staff and other wedding vendors. Overall we were extremely delighted because we had such great feedback from all our guests saying how fantastic the party was and that it was the most fun wedding they had ever been to. Barney played a huge role in giving us the best day of our lives and we cannot recommend him highly enough!

We’ve been to a few weddings where the dance floor was empty for most of the night and were very meticulous before choosing Barney to dj our wedding. As soon as we spoke to him we instantly made our mind up that he was the perfect dj for us. I am very fussy with my taste in music and Barney carefully listened to what we wanted and made suggestions that were perfect for us- like the kisstory after party! The dance floor was full up all night and everyone said the music was 10/10. He even premixed our first dance and sent it to us beforehand so we could prepare. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Barney to anyone. He is incredible and we cannot thank him enough for what he did for us- thank you so much, Tom and Jess.

We used Barney, the owner of Party Events Unlimited, for our wedding. He was very friendly and professional throughout all our pre wedding meetings, and gave us prompt replies on email. We picked Barney because he had a club DJ background and had really good ideas on how to improve our wedding. He was also our host for the wedding - a lot more informal and relaxed compared to a normal toast master, yet still effective and entertaining. Our guests, ranging from young to old, were really impressed with Barney's skills, noting how he didn't seem like a norrmal party DJ.

Barney and his team were the best Djs I have ever worked with on any event. Barney's meticulous attention to detail and care for what I actually wanted helped me to have a party that was described by most of the guests as "the best party ever ". Barney did not meet my expectations with his team he exceeded then. With my playlist incorporating Bhangra music, 70s, 80s and present day songs I thought it would be difficult to achieve the atmosphere I wanted. Most my guests were on the dance floor from the start to the end of the night. I had many complaints the next day about aching legs and feet from dancing too much. I also had some guests requesting we book the DJ every Saturday and have a party. I don't need to add any more. If you are thinking of calling Barney I'm hoping after this review you have already dialled the number! Best of luck for your big event I know if you book Barney and his team you will be ecstatic after the event!

Barney is undoubtably the best DJ I've ever heard/ had at any party in my lifetime. I'm so pleased we decided to book Party Events Unlimited and I couldn't recommend them enough. He will help you in planning the wedding, choosing appropiate music at appropiate times, being your toastmaster, arranging your dancefloor... the list is endless. It was all so calm and easy it took the stress of something I was worried about away... Since the wedding all our guests can't stop talking about what a great party we had in the evening - that is all thanks to Barney! Barney was truly exceptional - not only did he help advise and guide us on how to make our wedding really special and that 'little bit different & better the rest' but he also was the person who made it all happen on the day! We did sooo much research on compare's and DJs and we're so pleased we chose Barney! Our day couldn't have been better - we surprised our guests by doing funny intros to the bridal party, a 'love story' about us and surprise comedy first dance! What can I say ? Barney was amazing , he had everything under control and really set the mood , the music was perfect from start to finish , we had Barney with us all day and it honestly wouldn’t of been the same without him , he was so professional and such a lovely man , loved the mr & Mrs game , it was such a brilliant idea and really had the guests laughing . My first dance was magical and that is all thanks to Barney with the music, haze machine and confetti cannon, it really was like something out of a fairytale . Barney was also during the song “ I’ve had the tome of my life “ when I decided at very short notice to yell at my new husband “ catch me” then run across the dance floor haha barney caught this moment on video when nobody else did and I’m so thankful for that .
