trainee Optician Sarah (erdington branch)is a very nice young lady well informed and ensured i was happy to be seen by herself as time may be longer, good luck in your Career Sarah! all in all pleasant experience *Added....Glasses were ready for collection quickly which was great! Unfortunately I misheard the deal and wasn't satisfied, the gentleman (sorry didn't get his name) whom ordered my glasses didn't once make me feel it was my fault (it was!) and reordered my glasses with no problem, Thank you.

I have had a very good experience with the Erdington branch for a few reasons. I had my glasses made up and tried them out at the store. I had a few concerns with them in use and wondered how it would be handled. I needn't have been concerned. My usual reading distance is at arms length with a laptop or monitor. Mr Salim and Rob were very helpful in tweaking my prescription and then ordering exactly what I wanted for what I normally view at. Same with the distance prescription. My distance glasses were very sharp in medium distance but softer on anything past 10 meters. I mentioned this and the prescription adjusted for me. I picked up both of my adjusted glasses this afternoon. I was met by Chela (apologies if this is spelled wrong) She was the most courteous of people and made the glasses a perfect and comfortable fit with the adjustments she made. I cannot praise her enough. Overall a really good conclusion in getting exactly what I needed. This is unusually good service today.

Advised to stay on same prescription. 07/01/2022 - Text message to say new glasses ready for collection. 08/01/2022 - Glasses collected. Great service and hopefully this is maintained for future visits.

This is my 3rd eye test at this particular branch. Waq did my test the first and most recent and he always gets my prescription perfect! The second time, although the lady was very pleasant she altered it slightly and I was told it was only a slight adjustment and that I’d get used to it after seeking further advice. It never did feel right and after having recent test it is similar to my first except sharper. Unfortunately the astigmatism has caught up in the other eye so required a new prescription. Staff are friendly and professional. Only negative is I felt a bit rushed from when I had the test to going upstairs and choosing frames. Although I’ve purchased my frames every time from Specsavers it would be nice to be given the choice as to whether I want to look or take my prescription and go elsewhere.

I hadn't had an eye test for about a decade, and as I wore glasses as a child but stopped wearing them due to bullies, I thought it was about time I got myself checked, so I booked an appointment online which is very easy to do. I made my way to the store on Erdington High Street and I was seen to at reception immediately. I had the first two tests done and was taken down to await my appointment, which was about two minutes before I was called in. The staff, especially the blonde optical assistant (apologies I didn't get her name) and Mohammed, the optician who saw me were incredibly friendly and professional. The time keeping of the shop is excellent and the way they treat customers is top notch. So, they ended up giving me the full range of tests, totalling £64, which was taken off for me as discount, which is very much appreciated as a student who works part time. I was told I would benefit from some glasses for my long sighted vision, and chose a beautiful pair of red frames for £89, the total cost of my bill. I felt these suited me best and felt lovely in them. I was told they will be ready to collect in a week, which is fine with me. I would thoroughly recommend using this store for your vision needs. I look forward to collecting my glasses next week. Excellent work.

These guys are excellent, very polite and professional and excellent value for Monday. I'd ordered from Vision Express previously, it was my first pair of glasses, they took an age to arrive and when I chased it, they'd forgotten to send the frames to be married with the lenses! I came to Specsavers as soon as I found out and not only got 2 pairs of nicer glasses for £40 less than I'd spent at Vision Express but they managed to get me 1 pair the next morning and the other just 4 days later! Absolutely thrilled with them, will be back every time from now on.

Taken my mother to see the opticians at spec savers Erdington, Everything went well with the test, my mother wanted me to help her decide on which 2 frames she should choose, i said that i was no good at these things. I suggested that she should sek my sister for advice. And so, my mother asked specsavers if she can choose a frames a few days later. She went back to specsavers, with my sister and chosen her 2 frames, one for reading and one for long distance... A few days later, she collected her glasses and they were too loose, both of them simply slip off from her eyes, she went back to specsavers, where she was meet by Robert, the advisor... ANd he simply fobbed her off and said that there nothing he or the establishment could do, therefore, my mother left using her new glasses which slip off with every small movement of her head... I meet my mother, and she showed me her new glasses, and the way it would slip off when she moved her head, therefore, I grabbed my car keys and drove my back to the Specsavers, there I was meet by a lovely black lady who I explained that the glasses requires adjusting as the glasses arms were just too long for my mother. She was beautifully patient adjusting the angle for the nose and finally adjust the arms of the glasses which was far too long. Overall, she must have spent 25 mins sorting my mother out. She definately a 5 star asset to that branch. However, whilst waiting for the adjustments, my mother pointed out the guy who originally fobbed her off, thats where I saw his name tag.. Robert, I do not know why you are working there, as I looked you nodded as if to greet me, throughout my visit, you did not smile once, even talking to customers or potential customers... Your shirt could do with a good iron, and you require lessons on how to wear a tie, you look like a school kid who had finished for the day.... Not one smile, understandable if he was working at a funeral parlour.... I even asked to the lady why didn't my mother got this the first time round, she simply apoligised.. If I was the boss, would simply sack robert, he does not fit in the shop... My advise is good opticians, but avoid "ROBERT" Shame without Robert the shop deserves 5*
