Staff are wonderful. So friendly, professional, efficient, nothing is too much bother for them. There is a good friendly atmosphere in the store. They take time to explain everything. I wouldn't go anywhere else. My glasses are wonderful too. Really needed a new prescription.

This isn’t the usual branch I go into, but was in need of some prescription sunglasses before the heatwave. I was so impressed! The staff are genuinely lovely and have some great banter with each other and customers, the place was impeccable, airy and I was left to have a look around without feeling like someone was constantly watching over me. Found a pair I like and was really impressed at how quick and well-priced it was! I was prepared to have to lay down far more than I did, and to wait only about a week for a prescription pair? Feels unheard of. 100% recommend, especially for students moving into the area to study.

Flawless . New to this branch as wasn't impressed with previous branch having been with specsavers for a long time I have a good idea of what to expect . Went for my eye test and to get new glasses. Still waiting on the order to be completed. Said it would be a couple of weeks which is fine as that the norm . My hole experience in this branch so far has been flawless and above expectations . In spite of covid from entering the shop till I left the staff were all very welcoming and friendly . I ended up speaking with a few members of staff going through the process and they are all great nice and friendly explain everything going through it all from start to finish and able to answer any questions I had . Excellent, professional service, I phoned the North Bridge branch with a few questions regarding a purchase I was intending to make online. I was answered immediately by Sian at reception who was absolutely fantastic at fielding my questions, and able to put me through to sales. The staff explained everything really thoroughly and were really friendly.. They even took appropriate safety measure for covid. Make sure you book your appointment beforehand so everything goes smoothly. The optician at the North bridge was really knowledgeable and he explained my eye condition to me really well. But the lot here at Specsavers got me in, checked my eyes and updated my prescription, and had me in nice new frames within a week. Absolute professionals, it can be so hard finding people who do their job well these days but every single person I dealt with at this location was 100% on the ball from the get-go. I have attended this branch for a couple of decades at least, having received services elsewhere in Edinburgh and England. I have had some slightly unpleasant or negative experiences on at times elsewhere that made optician services sometimes feel intimidating. It only takes one bad apple to tarnish the experience unfortunately. But I can genuinely say these are amongst the nicest, most professional, nonstuck up, amazing, professional people you can ever hope to encounter. They are truly lovely folk who have made every visit a warm, helpful and beneficial experience, without being over the top, like some customer service try to do a sell, or being intrusive, but just with a real wish to serve respectfully, and patiently, listening to what you are really saying.. I don't know how the store achieves this kind of recruitment and maintains such quality service especially during the stress of the current covid crisis, but there should be an award for this store's service. Everyone in it is kind, amazingly clued up, kind, friendly, patient and nonjudgemental and I walk out feeling good. Unfortunately. I wish all services in the NHS and everywhere in life were to these exemplary standards from every single staff member, which is quite a number, over decades. So grateful for all you do guys. I haven’t find a better place to do my glasses over the course of the past 12 years. I come here every time even I travel a lot and I have tried to go to other brands and opticians. They are friendly, kind and extremely patient. Plus their prices are great and of course the service is unbeatable. Many friends have come here after I spoke about them (even they have other specsavers closer). So do yourself a favor and pick them for your next test/glasses. Amazing. Went in 14 days ago, booked an eye test: very quick and easy. Staff were super helpful and patient when deciding what glasses I wanted a week after I had my eye test(usually you would order glasses on the day of eye test but I was short on time). No pressure to bu expensive glasses, the staff list clearly and concisely all deals available. I made my choice, staff took measurements to suit glasses to me, a week later I can see!!!

I simply cannot recommend this place highly enough. The staff are very friendly, patient and pay great attention to details. I have never received better service at an opticians than this one. They have fixed all the minor problems I've had very rapidly and been absolutely amazing and caring. If you are in need of glasses or a routine eye check-up, this is the place to go. Moreover, you can also get free contact lens testing and even a couple of pairs of free contacts + solution.

Whilst I really can't fault the friendly staff and great service at this branch, there was a massive mixup with my contact lens direct debit, resulting in me being left for over a month without lenses and having to pop into the store every week to pick up "spare" lenses to keep me going. However staff at the store were really apologetic and helpful, resolving the matter for me and although I'm still waiting for my first 3 month pack of lenses, I am hoping that this was just a glitch!

I was visiting Edinburgh today when I noticed one of the nose pads on my glasses had broken off. I went to this shop where they replaced both of the nose pads, tightened all the screws, and cleaned the lenses at no charge. Very nice of them. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend and I had our eyes checked yesterday at your store .We were both seen by a blonde Irish Optometrist (apologies I cannot remember her name). She was absolutely brilliant .I have been having some very uncomfortable issues with my eyes and she was so thorough. I felt listened to and left with a clear plan in place to manage these symptoms. My boyfriend has a complex history with his vision and she was also absolutely brilliant during his review. We both had stellar service. The women who helped me select my frames (dark hair, I think may be Italian) was also great .She was very informative. All round wonderful service from professional staff!

After I experienced flashing lights and an deluge of floaters in one eye at 10 in the morning, I was seen by Charlene who diagnosed a retinal tear and sent me to the Eye Pavilion where I had laser treatment that night.
