First visited a year ago with my husband as we both needed a eye test , customer service fantastic from everyone , relaxed and friendly staff and we both selected glasses we loved as such a big choice . Really good advice given as it was the first time for both needing glasses, and so much cheaper than expected. Have recommended to family who have also shopped here and also delighted. They picked up a problem with my mum and she’s now attending the eye hospital. Would not go anywhere else

I have received wonderful service at Spectacles Outlet since I discovered their operation at Peffer Place a number of years ago. I can highly recommend them to anyone wishing to upgrade their current spectacles, or are in the market for their first pair of glasses. Tony, the optician in residence, is highly skilled, and puts you at ease throughout the examination. This is a friendly, family owned business which manufactures your lenses in the factory adjacent to the shop, meaning they can't be beaten on price. My work in the printing industry requires that my optical health is at a premium at all times. At Spectacles Outlet my prescription has been spot on every time! I have recommended Spectacles Outlet to many of my friends and family who have been similarly impressed with their service. I understand that they also recently opened a branch in Musselburgh. I would like to take this opportunity to thank them for their excellent assistance over the years.

I have a high plus prescription and struggle to get nice glasses as a consequence. The customer service was excellent from the minute I entered the store. The staff were very knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble as I was helped to find suitable frames. Today I picked my new glasses up and the workmanship of the lenses far outdoes lenses I’ve had from any other optician. Even with a very high prescription they are thin and light. All at a very good price! I highly recommend them.

Outstanding and friendly family business . They really care about you . You get a thorough exam that I knew would give you the best outcome in finding your need for eyewear or indeed , any problems which hopefully might not arise . You would expect top treatment at any opticians but I think they really go above with their services . I was really at ease whilst there. You also get help and advice in choosing the best eyewear that suits you and are never rushed . All budgets are catered for . Glasses are made on the premises which means you do not have to wait very long to receive them. Spectacles Outlet are highly recommended by my family and I . Very good experience and wouldn't go anywhere else. A thorough eye exam with a 'no hard sell' service. A great choice of designer and non designer frames to choose from and, as they manufacture the lenses onsite, you get your glasses super fast!

Got 2 pairs of glasses in 2014. They were perfect and robust. I could tell my eyesight has got worse so have returned. Great service once again. Frames and lenses for £65.00 a pair and for driving only they have put appropriate lenses in my 2014 glasses for £35.00. I cannot recommend Spectacles Outlet highly enough.

I had bought glasses from here over a year ago after dealing with the horrible company Optical Express which I won’t detail here. Spectacles Outlet was amazing to deal with, so much selection to choose from and didn’t pressure me into any styles that I was unhappy with. They gave me a coating on the lenses to help with glare when working in a hospital environment and the turnaround time to get my glasses was amazing! The staff are so friendly that I have recommended to anyone looking to book an eye test or just update their style. Last night one of my lenses popped out while cleaning, I was able to swing by this morning and within less than 5 mins the screws we’re tightened, lenses repolished and looking brand new again! Super friendly on the phone when I rang beforehand and as I didn’t leave a voicemail on my first super early call as I knew I’d call again a little later, I still got a phone call back to check if I still needed any assistance! 100% recommendation!

After being quoted £69 and £99 by Specsavers and Boots to change the lenses in my glasses, I visited the Spectacles Outlet who not only charged me £30 for the change, they fixed my broken sunglasses for free.
