Bellamy Eyecare has been the optician used by several members of our family for many years. This is testament to the first class service and customer care provided by all of the staff, who are always welcoming, helpful and professional. Mr Bellamy takes the utmost care with regard to his customers' sight and eye health. Mr Bellamy provided ongoing help and advice after our late father was diagnosed with Alzheimer's and his prescription became more complex. Mr Bellamy has also taken great care with our sister who has various sight and eye health issues. It is so unusual to receive reliable and person centred care and service these days so we really appreciate that provided by Mr Bellamy and his staff.

(Apologies, all previous eye care helpers) From the enquiry phone call, to the friendliest welcome in person, the detailed excellence of the eye test and the receiving and fitting of my new glasses, (with the staff at Leicester Bellamy Eyecare having tracked down a style of specs I have been unable to get, despite trying for thirty years), I was also treated so well and felt welcomed, calm, and lucky to be honest. I had my first eye examination and sight test at Bellamy Eyecare 2 years ago. I wish I had found the place years ago! Alan succeeded where others had failed in sorting out multifocal contact lenses that actually work for me. He is as friendly and approachable as he is thorough, and all the staff are very pleasant and efficient. I've just been back for an annual check up and new glasses and am delighted with the results. I thoroughly recommend Bellamy Eyecare.

I am really impressed with the friendly and extremely professional service that is given by Alan and his staff. My family have been going to Bellamy Eyecare for many years and have always had amazing service. Recently my 7 year old was prescribed glasses and his eyes began to get worse quite quickly. Mr Bellamy came up with these amazing lenses that my son wears overnight and he has 20/20 vision during the day! We are now trialling them. How amazing! My son is a little lively to say the least but Mr Bellamy is so patient. Even the receptionist is so friendly. I can't recommend this opticians enough and I hope we will continue to experience their friendly, enthusiastic, thoughtful and child friendly service for many more years to come.

Alan and his team have to be the best optometrist practice in the midlands! Every visit has been a pleasure. Friendly, helpful, professional, you always feel as though you are their most important customer. I have been using Ortho K lenses through their innovative monthly subscription program which has been so liberating. No contact lenses or glasses during the day. I thoroughly recommend this to anyone with short sighted vision. Alan is very generous in his time and knowledge and definitely has the best interests of each of his customers at heart. Outstanding service!! Don't waste your time going elsewhere. Just been for my sight check with Alan Bellamy, whom I booked in with based on these reviews here and all I can say is...the previous reviews are all spot on. Have no fear, they're genuine! Alan Bellamy is just brilliant and the highly professional service I received was second to none. Alan took as long as he needed to make sure he was doing a very thorough job. He explained very clearly each step of the exam in a reassuring way and even explained what was going on in the photo of the back of my retina. Who does that?! No other optician I've had, that's for sure. He empowers you to feel involved in your eye care, which is rare, sadly. I think they're a small, family owned business which was great as it means you get that personal touch. The receptionists were helpful, friendly, and funny too. Lots of giggles were had :-) I'm just so glad that I've found such a brilliant optician now as my family and I will never go elsewhere. This is my first ever Google review and will probably be my last - but I just had to join the digital voices of high praise. They're well and truly deserved. I highly recommend that you "see" what he's like for yourself!

Such amazing customer service and care from all the staff; if I could give more than a 5* rating I would! I suffer from anxiety but Marie put me at ease as soon as I arrived, and took the time to help me choose the right frames to fit with my style and medical needs (no pressure to purchase frames). Alan, the optometrist is nothing short of amazing and thorough. He took the time to listen to and understand my vision problems and medical background before giving me a thorough eye exam. He even missed part of his lunch hour to make sure he got my prescription just right. A far more professional, superior and personal service than I've ever received from a high street store; would I ever go back to a 'one in, one out' opticians? No way! I feel really confident wearing my glasses in terms of how they look, but much more importantly with how they have vastly improved my vision. Once again, the time came around to have our eyes examined (how time flies) & we went to our usual optician Alan Bellamy of “Bellamy Eyecare” - Leicester. Whilst things have changed due to the appearance of COVID, Alan Bellamy & his wonderful staff put our minds at ease made our eye examination appointments as comfortable & as easy as possible. From the moment we entered until we exited, we felt completely safe & assured that every precaution & consideration to staff members & clients, was regarded & adhered to under the strict COVID guidelines. In fact we felt that Alan Bellamy went above & beyond these guidelines (he always goes the extra mile – Thank you). Hand sanitiser was provided upon entry. Seating arrangements at an appropriate & acceptable distance. Essential Shielding screens at reception & in the examination rooms. Alan Bellamy & all staff members always wear appropriate face masks &/or visors, as did we, his clients. As my wife is deaf & relies upon lip-reading (& sign language at times), Alan Bellamy was happy to wear just a visor (whilst my wife still wearing face mask), so that she could understand his conversation & instructions etc. All this was done at under strict COVID safety restrictions/social distancing throughout. Can’t thank Alan Bellamy & his staff enough for doing this under the current circumstances. Full eye examination completed, new glasses ordered accordingly & discussed an additional service of “Eye care plan”, which we were both very happy to opt for. Alan Bellamy & his staff have always provided excellent eye care throughout our long association. We look forward to our next eye examination in 12 months-time. I have some problems with eye checks and getting the prescription correct. Mr Bellamy takes a long time and he checks many times. He says my visit is always a challenge for him. Nothing is too much trouble and I would not go anywhere else for my eye care. An exceptional service which I cannot praise enough. Full 5 stars, a service which is not available in the quick fix high street.

Just picked up my new contact lense from Alan at Bellamy Eyecare. Having one good eye it was a challenge to get the contact lense in and out. His patience and experience showed me how to do when other national chains had failed. If you need lenses or glasses with a personal touch this is the place to go

Extremely helpful, gives a very personal touch with every visit. Some time ago he helped me greatly after an eye test, firstly by spotting what specsavers had missed. He then put me in touch with someone as I have a rare problem with my eye. Consequently I was examined and advised to try a new type of hard contact lense due to the nature of my vision becoming worse. I now have yearly lenses, it was the best service and advice I have ever been given, furthermore Mr. Bellamy was there every step of the way.

Staff were friendly and very helpful with everything from booking an appointment to helping me choose glasses. The check up was done expertly. Thorough, and with everything going on explained for me to understand. The doctor was willing to answer all my questions and truly seemed to want to make sure I have the best eye care possible. My only regret is that I'm moving away and will no longer be able to be a regular. Find service up to this standard I imagine will be hard.

Excellent experience I was struggling with shifting from reading to looking at others especially at work. Following an eye test at Bellamy eyecare, I found I needed varifocals. These have made my life feel normal again as I can shift my vision with ease. Following a discussion regarding difficulties with dyslexia and speed reading since a child I did a test called readez. Following this I was diagnosed as needing specialist colour filters. These has changed my reading and computer work significantly, my eyes feel fresher whilst reading and the words are more stable on the page allowing my reading and typing speed to increase. Thank you to all the staff at this great all round eye care centre. Fantastic experience which is improving my working and daily life. I would certainly recommend this place to others.
