Excellent eye test, really thorough and the process was clearly explained. Picked up on a minor issue that had not been noticed by any previous optician. Good service too when choosing frames - unrushed, helpful and creative. Would recommend for all! Excellent

Great selection of glasses and friendly staff. However if you want repairs I would recommend taking your glasses to the King’s Cross branch instead since they’re limited to what they can do in-store at this location. I took my glasses in due to a broken hinge and was advised they would be ready within 3-5 days but it took over a week to get them back.

I've been going to Cubitts (Borough) for my glasses for a number of years now and the level of care I receive has always been amazing. The staff are always so lovely and helpful and help me to make my decisions- thanks Sue! (I am very indecisive!!). Sue also kindly helped to fix my glasses just before lockdown- I was very distressed- and she was able to repair them for me there and then. I also had a lovely experience with Maryam during my eye test which was overdue, and they kindly fitted me in at late notice. Maryam explained everything clearly and showed me through my results and images which I have never had before! Would definitely recommend :)

Visited last week for an Eye examination with Monica. She was fantastic thorough and was incredibly clear with her findings and explanations. The floor staff very knowledgeable and gave me plenty of advise about what style frames suit my face. Frames and lenses were ready to be picked up after 4 working days. Glasses well made and come a great case and cloth. Fantastic customer service. Would highly recommend.

Lovely little shop with very helpful and informative staff. Had an eye exam which was very thorough indeed. Also they were able to explain about the different kinds of varifocal lenses available. Would recommend. The glasses are cool too.

I have been buying glasses from the Borough shop since it opened. The team there is excellent. During a regular eye test the optometrist spotted a defect in my eyes which led to my having simple preventative operation thus avoiding Glaucoma (which runs in the family). The eye surgeon was impressed with Cubbitts work and the accuracy of the report that they issued. Great work, thanks very much!

Was the best opticians experience I’ve ever had. Everything seemed quite intimate and cosy but I have to say, service, products and technology was all first class. Even comparing to the high street ones which I’ve visited in the past Cubitts definitely had their own style and ethos. Would definitely recommend and revisit!

Like other Cubitts stores, the products look nice, the quality is great, and the staff tries to deliver a good customer service. They are, however, kind of clumsy. Very clumsy actually 😬 I came there to do a minor adjustment to one of my spectacles temples, but had to come back several times on the same day to repair new problems that had arisen each time 😱😤 It started with having to replace the whole leg on one side.. except the wrong leg had been replaced!!! 😵 Furthermore, by replacing that leg, the frame had been so badly bent that my eyelashes were then grazing the lens 😒😖 I was feeling very embarrassed with the service at that point, yet I was thankful that they replaced the whole frame to undo the damage that had been caused. Hence I left the store with relief, thinking my troubles were finally over. However, not two hours later, both of the nose pads fell off, as apparently the wrong screws had been used 😲😡 Not only that, but I also found out the lenses were not properly inserted, with the left lens being on the verge of popping out (The picture fails to show how threatening the situation was 😠🤬) So now I have glasses for which I had to set the lenses BY HAND so as to not lose them on the streets and nose pads held with thread so I can see without a stabbing sensation to my face 🤯😭😭😭 While I appreciate the efforts of the staff in adjusting my spectacles temples, I'd appreciate it even more if an optician hadn't repeatedly broken my glasses. I will keep using Cubitts products in the future – after all i need them to SEE – but as I do not want to find out how badly my glasses can be broken, I won't be returning to this branch, and strongly advise future customers against their in-house repairs

My optometrist was thoughtful, kind, professional and went out of her way to personally explain and assist me. The simple pricing model and friendly staff in this store blew me over. New specs delivered in under a week, very happy.

Exceptionally good customer service, they really raise the bar in comparison to most other opticians. I booked my eye test on the day and was seen a few hours later, no hassle, no waiting around. All of the staff were beyond efficient, especially the lovely lady who helped me chose a pair of glasses!

Bought my gf a pair of spectacles from here. They are incredibly stylish and well made. The overall experience was superb. Upon arrival we were immediately asked if we required assistance or had any questions and the staff were very helpful in giving objective advice as all products in the store are own brand. The pricing is very competitive and reasonable for what I consider a quality product and the turnaround was quick (glasses were ready within a week). Overall: Superb service, quality products, competitive prices. Will definitely return for future business!

These guys are fabulous. They helped me pick out new frames, with a excited toddler this can be a challenge! The frames are well made for my face and fit perfectly. They show considerable attention to detail at every step of the process. The icing on the cake, my sunglasses were run over by a van and squished - I thought there was no hope, but I was wrong, Emj did a fantastic job and re-shaped the frames - good as new :) What a fab place - highly recommended :)

Absolutely brilliant! Bought a pair of glasses on Sunday and they got shipped to my front door to Amsterdam on Friday. Free of charge. For the price, the quality is good, but what comes to the staff and customer service in stores it is truly unbeatable!

Great service, the team were really welcoming and nice, I hadn't had an eye test since childhood so I was a little worried about going in but they couldn't have been better. I love it when you have a perfect mixture of great sales people that don't try to push their product and actually help you decide the right choice. They took the time out to give me an honest opinion on what looks right for me. The frames are really great value, being handmade and customised to your face. You can choose the colour, style and material for each collection. I'll be making my purchase shortly!

I popped in here with friend a few times helping him choose glasses and was amazed by the customer service and quality of frames. I actually had eye surgery earlier in the year so no need for specs, but if I had know a place like this could exist I would not have spent most of my life going to sodding Specsavers and Boots!
