These are super opticians who went the extra ten miles for me. I lost my glasses one morning in August and I desperately needed them for a long drive the next day. I contacted Elliot and the team around lunchtime and having bought a frame online they moved heaven and earth to get the frame fitted with the lenses by 6pm that evening. It was herculean effort and my grateful thanks to all involved. They demonstrated the very best of client care, including speed and empathy - even chasing me down the street to tell me the glasses had arrived when we all thought that the glasses had not been biked over in time! These guys are fantastic. Last week my dog did me the kindness of destroying my glasses. After looking around for a decent optician, I found eye level, and just turned up there when they opened the following day. They saw me immediately, the eye exam was thorough, professional, and friendly and the selection of frames was excellent. I picked out to frames and the glass were ready the following day. Everyone in the store was fantastic and the new glasses are great. In addition, the combination of an independent optician with frames from independent designers is a great alternative to the endless chain store options. I will definitely be going back.

This is a true gem of a place. Brilliant optician Elliot Most and his superstar front of house Fuad are a dream team. They have the sort of glasses in store that make people stop you in the street to tell you how great your frames are. Fuad can fix glasses in minutes and gives great advice when choosing a new pair. Nothing is too much trouble for him. And they are so lovely to deal with. I've been going there for about 20 years and they are brilliant with my teenage son too.

Very nice team !! (Fuad & person in charge of eye testing & receptionist). The eye test might be slightly more expensive than what you can find in retail chaines but it's free by if you buy glasses/lenses after doing the test and they have glasses/frames you don't find everywhere. Both Fuad and the receptionist took time to advise in terms of selecting the right frame, providing relevant comments. Also, as the frame of my old glasses is a bit wobbly, they offered a quick repair, which will be done in a week time when I collect my new glasses. Really delighted of this appointment. Looking forward to have my new ones.

I just want to say thank you for my new pairs of glasses, they fit perfectly, the vision is good (Fuad got the measurements perfect!) and I love them both. In the past I have had some really horrible experiences with my eyes, so I was really nervous coming to a new opticians but it was a pleasant experience at Eye Level. Brilliant customer service and lovely people to work with. I am a long term, repeat customer. I first went to them to have a pair of frames filled which I had bought on a trip abroad. I have a narrow bridge and only a few frames fit me. They then over the years have helped me find other frames that are suitable, and have ordered in frames to try with no obligation to buy them if they don’t fit. They are reasonably priced, and will give discounts on second pairs and discounts on new prescriptions for old frames. Always honest, practical advice. I am happy to support this independent Optician on the high street – so glad that they have been there over the years.

Excellent customer service, very friendly place. I have something strange about the structure of my eyes which other opticians have previously mentioned but this one actually took the time to properly explain to me and show me the photos of it. They gave me a lot of time and support in choosing the nicest frames and advising on the different options for lenses available. Highly recommend.

I was struggling to find quick help and visited Eye-Level after two other opticians nearby last week. It was a breath of fresh air to receive such kind and excellent service at a time of crisis. The gentleman, who I presume was the owner, was quick to assist me with some contact lens trouble and offered extra advice for the future. The selection of frames were also very good. I feel when it is anything to do with your eyes you need to feel trust, and I certainly did. Great find. Highly recommended!!!

Completely delighted with Fuad's brilliant repair of much loved frames. Damaged frame after tripping over. He straightened out a crooked arm, the dent is imperceptible, got them back promptly. It is first class after sales service, they really look after their clients.

I have been using Eye Level for some time now and always find them very good. Thorough eye examination and no hard sell from any of the staff. A good selection of designer frames. The difference with Eye Level is the standard of service, nothing is too much trouble. Update 22/12/20. Yesterday I suddenly appeared to have a moving black dot in my right eye. Called Eye Level and Fuad booked me in for 10am today with Niamh to look at my eyes. Niamh very kind, informative and helpful. Thorough eye examination of both eyes with photos etc to show me it was what is known as a Floater. Put my mind at rest and gave me clear advice on what to do if anything else happens. First class service!

I am so happy to have found this place. I called to make an appointment and they were able to see me the same day. They were really nice, and not pushy at all when I was choosing out my glasses. The prices are fair, and they have some very cute glasses and a great selection of styles. I was able to find the perfect pair! And since I bought glasses my eye exam was free! Glasses were ready in two days. So much better than any glasses shop I’ve been to, and I’ve been wearing glasses for 10 years.

Best opticians! They keep track of everything for me, remind me of annual check ups, and even managed to provide me with a receipt for the glasses i bought 3 years ago when i needed it for an insurance claim. Super friendly, and have an amazing selection of frames. A bit more expensive than the bog standard shops, but it's a small price to pay for the incredible service you're getting

I have been a client of Eye-Level for many years and I would sincerely recommend them - here's why. Firstly, they have a first class and friendly optician on site who is very professional. Secondly, Fuad has a great sense of what glasses are right for you and I think he has good taste in glasses. Lastly, is the after sales. Over the years my wife and I have taken back glasses and he has repaired them without charge however yesterday, whilst in the shop he offered to clean an old pair of sunglasses as a favour. Because of the age of the glasses the cleaning process damaged the lenses which was not the fault of Eye Level. Today, Fuad just called me to say he would repair them free of charge. This is the sort of local business you should support and I if you want a quality service, advice and after sales care - Fuad and team are for you!

Just upgraded my spectacles with new lenses, Japanese ones and the difference from the previous ones is noticeably better. I used mine for night time reading so particularly please such that I'd recommend you asking about them. I come here for my eye tests and whenever I need new frames, so all in all recommended.

Don't waste your money or time at chain high St opticians. This place is an absolute gem in London! It's a small but super friendly opticians that is really well staffed. I went in for an eye test and contact lenses test, I saw a young man called Sat who was very patient with me in explaining everything he was doing, taking my thought my eyes health and made sure that I was happy. The staff at the front of the store were very helpful in helping me find the perfect pair of lenses (I think the lady gave me over thirty to try on and we found the perfect pair in the end, she was very patient too), the order took a few days to arrive and then they did an amazing job at getting the fitting perfect. I have a really flat nose and face (south east Asian), and love copious amounts of mascara and they didn't gave up on adjusting the glasses till it fit perfectly on my non existent nose without my lashes poking the lenses. It is slightly pricier then your boots or specsavers but it is worth every penny, these people genuinely care about their customers and it's incredibly refreshing in a place like London. I couldn't not recommend this place enough!

I have been using Eye Level since the early 1990's, and I wouldn't go anywhere else. They have met all of my prescription needs along the way, and had the right frame style at the right time - varifocal glasses, prescription sunglasses and even a prescription diving mask. I haven't always wanted to change my frame when my prescription has changed but this has never resulted in pressure to buy new. The one thing that I can say about the team at Eye Level throughout the best part of three decades and their customer service ethos (which has never changed) is that they have always made me feel like I am THE most important person to them. So much so, that in spite of moving to Italy next month, I still intend to come back to Eye Level, Islington for my next sight test. As I have said I wouldn't go anywhere else, neither should you!

Having used a few independent opticians and the fairly underwhelming Boot's, I went to Eyelevel because of their big choice of Oliver Peoples, and had really fantastic service all round to be honest. I am a long term customer of Eye-Level Opticians in Islington. Yesterday, whilst out shopping, I experienced the sudden appearance of substantial 'floaters' in my left eye, obscuring my vision in that eye. I called into Eye-Level, where Elliot and his team, checked me out promptly, did a photographic eye scan and as a result, advised me to go to Moorfields. I had experienced a change in the jelly like structure of the left eye with the tearing of a small blood vessel. This had led to a small bleed into the eye, which was age related. Elliot's advice and calm manner was helpful as were the eyes scans he did which allowed the hospital to assess the situation quickly. I am very grateful for the support of the Eye-Level staff. The condition will resolve itself without further intervention. As always,excellent support and care!

I came to see Elliot in despair, as I was seeing double through my new glasses from somewhere else, and had only an old, weak pair to use. He kindly and expertly tested my eyes, talked everything through with me and worked out the perfect compromise prescription for my eyes, taking into account my high level of myopia with some presbyopia and astigmatism just to make things tricky… Fuad chose the perfect frames for me and made all the measurements with huge care. Really impressed! I wanted to find an opticians on Islington highstreet for some new glasses, but not one of the big brands. As i was browsing they were really helpfull and seemed to be actively trying not to pressure me into anything (which is what drove me away from the big brands in the first place). When i wasn't sure, he said i should go away and think about it and that he would write down the ones i had liked so that when I come back we can carry on where we left off. Anyway, they were very nice and really know their stuff. I thoroughly recommend them. And obviously I'm delighted with my new glasses. :-)

My ophthalmic history is messy, including an ill advised radial keratotomy in 1987, laser-surgery-gone-wrong in 2009, a corneal transplant in 2013 & cataract surgery in 2016. In the past I've gone to various high street chains & paid £££ for glasses that completely failed to improve my vision. I appreciate that most optometrists can correct straightforward myopia/presbyopia but if you have more complex issues, I can't recommend Eyelevel highly enough. As previous reviewers have noted, this is the place to go if your vision is difficult to correct. (Or as it says in the song: I can see clearly now...!)

Total professionals who really care about your vision, your satisfaction, the whole experience. Prices may be slightly higher than elsewhere and chains but you get what you pay for. I've been coming to this place for over 10 years and the level of service remains top notch - so much so that it's worth the travel back to old neighbourhood.
