Super professional and caring. I had my surgery nearly a year ago. Wanting to ensure the review I give is without any issues that may arise. What can I say ever since my surgery my eyes have got better and better and now 20/20 vision. The following morning of the surgery I no longer needed glasses for driving. It’s made such a difference to my life and even on cold winter mornings not missing my glasses getting misty or now with the pandemic wearing a mask and glasses are not missed at all. I get the odd night of dry eye after a long day but things like alcohol consumption or just lack of hydration will have an impact on that. The clinic has ensured I have plenty of eye drops, which instantly soothe them but to be honest even without the drops by the morning there isn’t any issues. The actual surgery was over and done with in such a short time you really wonder why I was so worried in the first place. Throughout the process I felt well looked after and cared for, even after the surgery. We have decided to go with this clinic looking through other reviews any issues this clinic is happy to rectify and communicate- even though I had no issues what so ever I really feel like you are in the best hands possible. I had my laser eye surgery about 3 months ago and am delighted with the outcome. I did quite a lot of research on where to have the treatment and can honestly say that the LVC has been a great choice. Very measured and detailed in the consultations, I felt that I had all the information to make an informed decision. The recovery has been painless and the change in vision is instantaneous. I can now play sport without glasses steaming up or falling off, which makes a huge difference, along side all those day to day inconveniences of wearing them. Highly recommended.

I am a 66 year old who has always had normal vision and did not need glasses until the onset of presbyopia in my forties. I was mildly irritated by wearing glasses but put up with it until, having retired, I decided to look into options for getting around without them. Most specialists appear to recommend lens repcement surgery at my age but I preferred an option which had no risk of seriously damaging my vision, and I looked into laser blended vision. This has been a good choice for me and I believe that London Vision Clinic are amongst the very best people to do this procedure. My surgeon was Glenn Carp.He is very professional , a good communicator and I had complete confidence in him. The procedure itself was very straightforward from my point of view. My near vision was pretty good from day 1 and I was fit to drive the next day.Incidentally , I had not appreciated that my distance vision had become borderline for driving prior to surgery and this has now been corrected. I am now 3 months post procedure and I am enjoyng the main result in that I no longer need glasses for any purpose. My distance vision is a bit variable still and I do get cross blur at times in my distance vision. Glenn has reassured me that this should continue to settle in the next few months. I am happy with the outcome so far and, for me the procedure has already achieved what I was wanting. I would certainly recommend the clinic to anyone in my position. The only reason I have graded my experience at 4 stars and not 5 is because my distance vision is not yet perfect, but I trust that will be upgraded by the time of my 12 month review!

I am very pleased with London Vision, specificly in this difficult times. From the start I got excellent care and a lot of tests. I choose "Smile". On the day of the surgery (may 2021)I was welcomed with care and calmness. Got explained everything and everything went very smoothly and calmly. The surgeon is great and makes u feel comfortable. I am very pleased with my vision so far. They also welcome people with Epilepsy! I like the after care as well. I had some issues such as irritating eyes and dry eyes suddenly ( temporarily) after 6 months which they helped me and post some eye drops and gel. I have no other issues further except sometimes a bit of dry eyes which is common. I would recommend London Vision. You may find cheaper by others which I considered myself but I am glad I choose London vision. After all it's your precious eyes...

I had laser surgery at the London Vision Clinic about 6 months ago, and I can honestly say it’s one of best things I’ve ever done. I did quite a bit of research on which clinic to go to, but the London Vision Clinic caught my eye because of the care you get post surgery. Not only do you get the surgeon’s mobile phone number to contact any time you need, but the follow up appointments since my surgery have been excellent. They are extremely thorough, and seem to really genuinely care for the long term health of your eyes post surgery. If you’re thinking of getting the procedure done, definitely put the London Vision Clinic at the top of your list. Would highly recommend.

My husband had it done some years ago so could prepare me a little for what to expect but I was still quite nervous beforehand. I can honestly say that it was stress free and very easy. Rebecca Sutherland Before laser eye surgery, my eyes were dry and would cause me to feel very fatigued. Post surgery (smile) my eyes are perfect. I was shocked that I could watch TV 3 hours after surgery. Amazing! I had my surgery late November and now I’m beginning of February I don’t need any eye drops throughout the day. It's been just over 3 months now since I had SMILE surgery at London Vision clinic and the whole process has been excellent. I was short-sighted with dry eyes prior to surgery, and now have better than 20/20 vision with much less discomfort than before. I'm still having a few issues with night vision, but it's improved a lot since immediately after the surgery, and I've been reassured it should improve further. The initial assessments felt extremely thorough (LVC was the second clinic I had an assessment at before going ahead with the surgery, and the other clinic was not nearly so in-depth) and I didn't feel pressured at any point. I particularly liked that I got to meet my surgeon (Glenn Carp) before the actual day, and I've had regular communication from him after too. All in all, I would definitely recommend LVC for anyone considering laser eye surgery.

I had laser blended vision surgery at London Vision Clinic and was very well looked after. The surgery itself was very quick, and completely painless - I was talked through every stage, and so felt completely at ease. The aftercare was also first class, with a next day appointment with my surgeon, and I've since had a one month checkup, and I had my 3 month one yesterday. As for my post surgery eyesight, all is going well, I used to wear glasses for pretty much everything (computer work, watching tv, watching sport, etc), and I can now do all of those things without my glasses! I had my SMILE surgery in August 2021 with around -5.75 prescription + astigmatism. Overall, a very smooth and pleasant experience. I felt well looked-after. The initial assessment was very thorough with lots of opportunities for me to ask questions. The surgery was fine but more unpleasant than I expected given how much I'd heard that it's really easy. It wasn't painful but just a bit of an uncomfortable experience. It helped that Mr. Carp was talking me through the process and it was very quick. The team kept in touch with me and I've had lots of check-ups which is reassuring. I'm very happy with my vision now and I'm very close to a prescription of 0, which is a massive difference. The evening after the surgery I could see the TV screen which I hadn't been able to without correction for almost 10 years! It definitely is an expensive place to get laser eye surgery but I wasn't willing to take any risks with my eyes. If you want the best, LVC is the way to go.

After deciding to have laser eye surgery I thought long and hard about what clinic to use. I looked at reviews, spoke to friends and colleagues. I chose London Vision Clinic for my initial visit. I was so impressed by the process from the outset. I had a detailed map of everything leading up to the procedure and beyond. After going there for my initial consultation I decided that LOVC was definitely the clinic to trust with my eyes!! I am now 4 months on from the procedure and I couldn't be happier. Obviously slightly nervous on the day, my concerns are very quickly put at ease by my surgeon (Glenn Carp) and all of his staff. I was always told that the aftercare is just as important as the actual procedure. I have now been back a few times for check-ups and every time I've been there I have been treated as if I were LOVC's only patient. I underwent SMILE surgery in October 2021 with Professor Reinstein, and can honestly say it is one of the best things I’ve ever done! For reference, my prescription was around -3.75 with astigmatism. I arranged my initial consultation through Rhiannon who was great at answering any initial questions and keeping me informed over email with the various stages of the process. The initial consultations are very in-depth and made me feel very confident I was in safe hands! They produce many scans of the eyes, and then Elizabeth ran through the procedure and allowed me to ask ALL the questions (however silly!). I didn’t feel pressured at any point to go ahead with the surgery, which I was very grateful for! On the day of the surgery I was talked through the various medications and drops I would require, and given further opportunity to ask any final questions. The surgery itself was pain-free, and over very quickly! I was nervous about the eye clamp, but hardly felt it! Professor Reinstein was very calming and reassuring during the whole procedure. Recovery was very easy! I didn’t experience any discomfort in the hours after, and was able to eat out in a restaurant that evening! I loved that Professor Reinstein checked in later that day to see how recovery was going... it’s little things like that that made me grateful for picking London Vision Clinic! Three months after the procedure my vision is near on perfect and I am beyond happy with the results. I would recommend the clinic to anyone considering laser eye surgery and have already passed on the details to some of my colleagues!

I had my vision corrected here in September. The whole process from the very first phone call to book an assessment appointment to my most recent post-op review was professionally executed. All staff members, including optometrists, surgeons and receptionists were able to answer alll of my questions and were very friendly and courteous. The actual laser surgery itself was a little daunting at first but reassurance from the staff brings confidence. Some people, including myself, suffer from eye pain immediately afterwards but that was short-lived (a few hours) and I was given analgesia by the clinic which helped. My lens replacements, done six weeks apart, have been a huge success – beyond my greatest hopes and expectations, and I am absolutely thrilled with my freedom from contact lenses and glasses! From my first visit to the London Vision Clinic I felt in very safe hands. At every visit I have been seamlessly guided through the whole process, with a great number of scans/tests/verifications, all accompanied by caring, professional and detailed, easy to understand information, from my care co-ordinator to the rest of the staff. The surgery itself, of which I was terrified, was actually fascinating after the initial feeling of dread. Surgeon Alistair was relaxed, calm and talked me through what was happening, how everything was proceeding, and what I could expect for the next stage. At no time was I given too much detail (might be scary!), but I was certainly involved in the surgery process and not once was I in pain or even worried that I would be. Follow up to surgery has been excellent also, including texts on the evening of surgery day to check I was ok. A going home kit of drops and all items needed, including printed information sheets with very clear instructions for the post op days until 14 day check up was very well thought out. Had eye surgery back in September 2021. Hated the idea of touching my eyes, the thought of wearing contact lenses but realised my eyes were deteriorating to the point I needed to wear glasses in most cases and it would really affect my sport. As a result I plucked up the courage to go through the initial consultation. None of it was pressurised and were fully made aware of ant risks from the outset which I preferred (the honesty) no hidden fees etc. Yes it's a bit more expensive than others out there but the level of care and reassurance is very high. Surgery whilst a bit of a psychological one to get over was pain free and over in 4 mins. After having surgery eyesight is excellent with no side effects now. If I had to go through it again I would. Highly recommended.

The surgeon (Mr Stuart) even sent me a text the night after my surgery to make sure I was OK. LVC is obviously slightly more expensive than other eye clinics, but you absolutely get what you pay for. My sister and a few of my cousins have also had treatment here so I wouldn’t have gone to anyone else as their surgery was also so successful. First class service and experience. Surgery was pain free and so quick. Very thorough examinations and tests to make sure risks are minimised and the aftercare is brilliant. Everyone is friendly and welcoming as well. If i had to pick something to improve on would be that sometimes i was waiting a bit longer than my booked appointment time to be seen which makes it harder to coordinate travel (as i live outside of London). However on my last appointment i told the girls what time my train was and they arranged for a different optometrist to see me. All in all great service and would highly recommend.

I am very glad that i chose LVC for my eye surgery. The customer care before and after my procedure was excellent and I always felt comfortable, safe and looked after during the whole process. The actual surgery was over so quickly. It was far less scary than I imagined and was completely painless. The most painful part of the whole process was removing the tape from my face when taking of the glass eye shields you have to wear each night for the first week. If you are thinking of having eye surgery I would definitely encourage you to go for it. LVC is one of the more expensive options out there but I would say it's worth it if you can afford it for quality of care and peace of mind. I am incredibly please with my results and have actually gained an additional line of vision on the standard optometrists chart.

The little touches with the soft toy into the treatment room for any slight anxiety, to the help from the staff to get back into a car back, to the easy access for help AND special eyedrops needed when running low with any post-treatment, very much appreciated. Might be ‘pricey’ compared to the rest of UK / Australia / DACH of course, but the service and treatment was outstanding so far. Would definitely recommend doing your own research prior of course, but my experience here was certainly a positive one…enough so that I referred my partner who then had smile done here as well!

I sought treatment at London Vision clinic in August 2020 as I had a particularly negative experience when seeking treatment at a high street optician, who also offer laser eye treatment. I had a 'high profile' prescription (+5 with strong astigmatism) meaning many clinics just did not have the expertise to treat me. London Vision clinic are specialists in their field and provided second to none treatment and service. I did ALOT of research prior to this as vision is so important, and I wanted only the best. From the initial consultation to treatment, the whole experience was excellent. All questions were answered and risks explained fully, especially as my treatment was not as straight forward. Surgery is a scary prospect, but at each stage I was made to feel at ease; the surgeons and staff go above and beyond! My surgeon even checked in on me via text a few times (I had Glenn Carp) to check all was well. My aftercare, despite being in the middle of a pandemic, has been super and my vision is very good. I have a slight residual prescription now at 6 months on, which was to be expected and I am still pursuing achieving the best vision results through my aftercare. I have worn glasses since i was 6 and am now 80% glasses free, whereas I could not function without my glasses at all before! I am so grateful to the team here and I would highly recommend London Vision clinic every time.

I can only say good things about the London Vision Clinic and can't recommend it enough! The whole team have been very attentative and professional in their assessment of my eyes, determining which procedure will be most suitable for me. The exams are very very thorough and over a few appointments to not only check and test your eyes properly but also to 'treat' them ahead of the operation for best results. I had dry eyes to begin with and so was given lubrication gel and drops to apply daily to help them ahead of the procedure. I was very anxious on the day of the operation. I had SMILE done. I have to say, the operation itself was absolutely nothing to worry aboout. Dr Carp completed the procedure on both my eyes in about 12 minutes, in and out of the theatre, the whole thing was really quick. He walked me through every stage, I felt absolutely nothing. To explain to my friends who are also interested in going through it, I compare it to going to the dentist where the laser eye operation is a 2 out of 10, and going to the dentist is a solid 8 (1 on the scale is easy and painless, 10 is exactly the opposite). The day after my surgery I could read parking signs across the street and departure boards at the train station, something I had to squint for even with my glasses before. My vision is now 20/20 and my quality of life without glasses has improved a lot. I can now take my baby daughter to swimming lessons without having to wear glasses in the pool; I don't have to deal with fogging up when wearing a mask; I can see myself in the mirror clearly, no need to get really up close... Getting my eyes done is by far one of the best decisions I ever made and choosing to do it at the London Vision Clinic as opposed to a high street clinic put me at ease and gave me huge confidence at the results.

My experience has been that all staff are highly professional and competent and my surgeon, Dr Dan, was brilliant. I have had many follow up appointments to check the progress of my eyes, post surgery, and have felt in very good hands and very well cared for. My eyes have healed more slowly than average, and I may need a further tweak to one eye, but I do not have any concerns or doubts on that score. London Vision Clinic gets so many glowing reviews on Google, it's hard to know how to add to what others have said! I had my refractive (SMILE) surgery with Alastair Stuart in January, and I've been so impressed with the quality of service throughout the process. My initial call with my patient care coordinator was very helpful: providing clarity and transparency on each step of the procedure. I did speak to other clinics whilst researching my options. But my care coordinator's desire to go the extra mile acquiring information, and their knowledge about the refractive techniques I was likely to qualify for, made the decision for me. I felt really confident on the day of my surgery that I was in good hands. I appreciated the transparency regarding the outcomes I could expect, which my optometrist and surgeon offered in pre-surgery appointments. In the end, my eyesight is better than 20/20 - which is great! But there's a tendency in the refractive surgery market for clinics to make claims about the 'miracles' their surgeons can produce - which are more of a sales pitch than an honest assessment of potential results. LVC's grounding in research, and their candour about the process really appealed to me. Since the day of my surgery, I've had several standard follow-up appointments with my surgeon and optometrist. But what's really impressed me about LVC's after-care is the texts from my surgeon to check everything was healing well, and the time my optometrist took to speak to me on the phone a couple of weeks after my surgery. Again, this after-care was an example of LVC's commitment to go the extra mile - which I really think is a point of difference between LVC and other clinics. Ultimately, it's quite a big decision to undertake refractive surgery. And I would strongly encourage anyone considering refractive surgery to think carefully about choosing between a transactional option (which may well be cheaper), and one where your team are genuinely invested in your recovery. All round, I'm so glad I made the decision to go for surgery with LVC - after many years of um-ing and ah-ing about it! Where do I start I have been wearing glasses since I was 7 year old, my prescription was very high with -5 long sighted. My friends recommended few places and went there but got refused due to my prescription and service was terrible as well few even robbed my money lol. Then started doing research and found LVC with 5 star rating and can do Lasik on high prescription. Contacted LVC on 24/09/2020 lady name Kate who dealt with me and told me every detail I need to know about Lasik I was so shocked because other place I contacted they couldn’t give me information and said when you have consultation with your optometrists they can answer all your question you have. There was no pressure she said take your time and contact me as she will be my patient care coordinators first point of contact. After few weeks I called Kate and she booked all my appointment including my surgery date but she did say that’s if am suitable for Lasik after my initial screening and ophthalmic those date are booked for me and if not found suitable I will get all my money back which I paid for getting all the appointment booked. 17/10/2020 had my appointment with the lead optometrist Sharon where do I start with her very nice lady make you laugh and make you feel so comfortable, when she said to me am suitable I was jumping up and down with a big smile, she was very happy for me  by the way she is a Arsenal supporter so make sure you don’t mention any other team lol Finally 27/10/2020 met the one and only Mr Glenn Carp and it was an appointment that I won’t forget. He knew everything about me that show the surgeon took time to read my file what I do for living the hobby etc. Other place I went they didn’t ask much question they just check and say if it’s ok or not. Had a good chat with Mr Carp about his hobby what he does in his spare time and of course cracking up joke. He made me so comfortable and said not to worry about anything he will be there with me step by step. Treatment day 03/11/2020 was bit nervous who won’t be it’s your eyes you’re getting surgery on. When I walked in the room Mr Carp was there and step by step he was telling me what this machine will do etc. Made me forget about everything in about 5min I was done. Mr Carp provided me with his phone number so I can contact him any time if I had issue even at 3am, he even drop a text to see how I’m doing what a great surgeon looks after his patient. My next day follow up appointment had Mr Carp checked my eyes and said keep on taking the drop they gave to keep the dryness in control and slowly it will become normal. I went in full detail of my step in LVC so people can see what LVC provide as you can’t be messing up your eyes by going to wrong person. I couldn’t find any fault if I did I would of said it on my review. At first I had dry eyes a lot but that was expected as my prescription was very high, 4 month now I use the drop maybe once a day or sometime I can go without the drop for few days and give the drop but I can tell the eyes is settling down better now. 25/02/2021 had my 4th follow up appointment with Emma she made me very excited when she said well-done Mohammed you got 20/20 vision now but the eyes still settling down. Thank you to everyone in LVC who provided there service to me, if anyone looking to do eye surgery I recommend you contact LVC. 100% you won’t regret it, People say they are expansive but hey it’s your eyes. Mr Corp said something to me like you compare Nissan & Rolls Royce you will find the service and reliability in Rolls Royce is 100 time better then Nissan that’s why they are expansive. I still maintain that this was one of the best decisions I've made for my health. It's pricier than some clinics, but you get what you pay for and it's 100% worth it (plus the repayment options are excellent). I came to LVC with terrible vision and a family history of eye disease; I was also told that due to amblyopia, I wouldn't correct above 20/30. In addition, I was told I had dramatic dry eye and that this could exacerbate post-surgery. My optometrist (shoutout to Vimal!) was transparent and honest throughout the whole process and walked me through my options with a high level of care and without being judgemental or pushing me to make any specific decisions. And that tone underlay the whole experience. Everyone at the clinic is extremely professional and compassionate from the moment of contact. The customer service is impeccable (I had my surgery near the holidays and throughout they were still responsive) and the after-care is excellent. I know that this surgery can be nerve-wrecking for many (including me!) but I felt supported throughout and never once felt like I should be nervous. The surgery itself was quick and painless. I was talked through everything multiple times in advance and the communication was personable. The surgeon (Mr Carp) was calm and soothing during the whole procedure and the follow up care has since been excellent (I'm still visiting for appointments many months afterwards and they are always open to chatting or seeing me if there's a concern). The greatest gift of all? I'm now nearly 6 months on from completing surgery and my vision has so far settled at 20/20 (on a good day, I can read 12/20). While I still have dry eye, it has been no more extreme or noticeable than before the surgery and I just use a drop at night to help it. This has honestly improved my quality of life significantly and I recommend LVC to anyone who will listen! I'm thrilled!

This is thanks entirely to the London Vision Clinic and Professor Dan Reinstein. Throughout my initial consultation and on the day of the treatment I was reassured by their professionalism and had no doubt that I was doing the right thing by having the surgery. I don't think I could have trusted my eyes to anyone other than the best and after lots of research it became obvious to me that Professor Reinstein is the best. Four months on, my near vision has also improved to the point where I no longer need to wear reading classes other than for very detailed work. I had a wonderful experience with London Vision Clinic. Was thoroughly explained the steps on the first call by their consultant Meghan and was advised I was suitable and recommended SMILE procedure following the initial consultation. Was also explained the risks - apparently I had a genetic condition called ABMD I wasn’t aware of. On the day of the surgery it went very smoothly with Prof. Reinstein, and the procedure itself was very easy for me. Was seeing much better from the first minute, and in a few hours was nearly back to normal. I was recommended this clinic by a friend who also did her treatment there for its excellent post op care. I didn’t regret it. My ABMD worsened about two month after the surgery, which resulted into pain in my left eye. Was given an appointment next day after calling and they tried a few things on me, one of which seems to have worked (as of now), so there was no need for a more complex treatment. It’s now been over 4 months since the procedure, and I nearly forgot I ever struggled to see. I had -3.5 myopia and another -2 astigmatism in both eyes and was unable to wear glasses (was experiencing dizziness and headaches). Was wearing contact lenses, but not on a daily basis. My life improved enormously every since. Touch the wood it will stay like that for a while. Highly recommend to those who’re suitable.

I chose London Vision Clinic for my laser eye surgery on a friend's recommendation and couldn't be more pleased with the experience or the result. I was unsure and a bit nervous about the surgery but I spoke to the clinic at length before committing. They talked me through the procedure and after care in great detail and put me at ease. The first appointment is where they take a lot of scans of your eyes and then you have a long appointment with one of the surgeons who measures and tests your eyes and eyesight. You then have a cooling off period of about a week to make sure you are sure about the procedure. The procedure itself lasted only minutes and everything I had feared proved to be unfounded. Nothing scary, no smell of burning! I stared at the red and green dots. That was all. Immediately after the surgery I had to keep my eyes closed as much as possible for a few hours - total bliss after Homeschooling in Lockdown! The Clinic gave me a small bag containing the drops and really clear instructions about the aftercare. I now have 20:20 vision. This was during Lockdown 3 and the Clinic were very careful with masks, distance, temperature checks, sanitiser etc. I highly recommend the London Vision Clinic.

LVC has changed my life - if you're deciding whether to go or not, just go! They are excellent. Every day I am grateful for my new eyesight. I had ICL (implantable collamer lens) surgery in November 2020 and I now have 20/20 vision. I decided to go to LVC because they specialise in complex/high prescriptions. I never thought I would be able to get my vision corrected. I started wearing glasses when I was 4, had amblyopia surgery as a child, had progressively worse vision, reaching over -20 short-sightedness in the last few years, my mid-twenties. I also had a retinal bleed a couple of years ago so the vision in my right eye is partially obscured. In recent years, getting glasses from high street opticians has been a miserable experience, because they just don't see eyes with such complex prescriptions very much. Losing my glasses in the sea on holiday (horrifying) was the last straw in a lifetime of myopia!!!! I decided to look into the possibility of laser eye surgery and came across LVC. They have been wonderfully informative, professional and caring throughout. It became obvious that I wasn't eligible for the laser eye surgery, but the ICL surgery was possible for me. Vimal was the optometrist who talked me through everything and he taught me a lot about the anatomy and structure of my eyes, and he answered all my questions and made sure I was really well informed. I had several appointments leading up to the surgery itself, so that scans could be taken of my eyes, so they could be as sure as possible that the surgery was likely to go well - LVC definitely put the welfare of the patients first, and they are honest about if the surgery is a good idea or not for the individual patient. The surgery itself was spread over four days, so I had my left eye done first and then a follow up appointment on day two, and then my right eye on day three and four. The procedure is definitely strange and uncomfortable, but also very quick considering the detailed work they are doing, and I felt very calm in the hands of Professor Reinstein, who I had met before and who talked me through the surgery as he was going. I will never forget when the first lens was moved into my eye - the ceiling came suddenly into focus, I could see, and I just started crying!!! For the first month or so after the surgeries, I had to wear plastic guards over my eyes at night, and put regular drops in several times a day. They healed really fast, I had some follow-up appointments with eye tests, and everything had gone as planned. I am so happy with my eyesight!! It is now only about -0.25 so I can quite happily live day to day, read, drive, swim, everything. I wear reading glasses for using a computer and watching TV, just to sharpen things up completely, but even they are not always necessary. It is hard to understand how life changing this is if you are lucky enough to have good eyesight naturally. For me, being able to wake up and see each day is incredible and every day I am so glad and thankful for the amazing work of LVC. Their level of care is exceptional, I have always felt well looked after and well informed, which is exactly what I want when it comes to my eyesight - you are paying for the best, and I really think it is worth every penny. They have some good finance plans available too, so I am paying for my surgery over three years which works really well for me. Thank you so much to everyone at LVC!!! :)

It has been about 4 months since I had my eyes done and I am so grateful to everyone at the clinic. It was so easy and basically painless and has already made a huge difference to my life. I had thought about laser for a while and whilst I was furloughed I took the opportunity to contact the clinic about actually getting it done. My initial appointments were great and the staff were very helpful answering any questions I had. There was no pressure to make decisions and I never felt rushed or unwanted. Every question was answered patiently and clearly. The procedure itself took about 10 minutes and was practically painless, I rested after it until my 24 hour follow-up appointment and then was cleared for almost all regular activities. I restarted work about 4 days later and it was completely fine even though I stare at a screen for much of the day. It took a few days to get used to being able to see but it has been incredible to have 20/20 vision. I still use lubricating drops periodically but mostly as a precaution when using the tube rather than out of necessity. Thoroughly recommend SMILE (the laser surgery I had) and the clinic has been and continues to be incredibly easy to deal with.

I had my laser eye operation 3 months ago at this clinic. I had the relatively recent procedure Relex smile. The operation itself was so easy, much easier than what I had in mind and was super quick, literally seconds under the laser, and including the preparation just a few minutes. The staff is very nice and comforting, they really make you feel at ease explaining all the process and the potential aide effects at length. Postoperative care was amazing, personal follow up, and multiple checks to make sure everything went fine. In my case, it all went very well. It's more expensive than other clinics, but the cost includes really everything. I have worn a combination of spectacles and contact lenses for 35 years and am high myopic with astigmatism in both eyes. As I approached my 50th birthday, also began to experience the dreaded presbyopia. I conducted some research and noted that Which Magazine had listed the London Vision Centre as the Number 1 establishment in the UK for Laser Eye Surgery and I emailed for some advice. My Patient Care Co-Ordinator (Rhiannon) could not have been more accommodating and patiently answered my multitude of silly questions. She suggested that I visit the Centre for some diagnostic tests which would clarify my suitability or unsuitability for treatment. Due to my prescription Rhiannon advised that I was in the ‘High Profile’ category and that the treatment cost was fixed at £6,200. I travelled down and undertook a battery of tests with the Optometrist (Lizzie) who explained the function of each test and why it as necessary. I travelled back 3 days later to meet the legendary Professor Dan Reinstein who confirmed that I was the ideal candidate for ReLEx SMILE with Laser Blended Vision. He said that upon review I had fallen into the ‘Standard Profile’ and that the cost had reduced to £5,200. Professor Reinsten carefully went through all of the risks, patiently contextualising them so that I could relate to them and then, noting that I was a serving member of the UK Military, offered me a £500 discount which I gladly accepted. On the day of surgery I reported back to Harley Street having read all of the materiel and read the TrustPilot reviews. I was greeted by Nurse Ciara who immediately put me at ease, went through the process again, presented me with a small bag which contained eye drops, artificial tears, eye shields for sleeping in, Voltarol eye drops and even sleeping tablets to help me sleep that night if required. Ciara fed me chocolate and administered the numbing eye drops before accompanying me through into the Theatre where I was greeted by Professor Dan and his team. I was asked to lie down on the chair and manoeuvred into the optimum position. Professor Dan has an extremely relaxing voice, and he talked to me throughout the entire procedure, informing me what he was going to do and how I should respond, nothing came as a surprise. The eye lid was held open and a small suction cup began to lower over the exposed eye. Professor Dan asked me to focus on a small green light for about 25 seconds and then the suction cup was removed. I realised that the laser element of the surgery had completed already, the lenticule was removed and the Left eye was done in less than 3 minutes. The process was repeated on the Right eye before I was invited to sit up so that the Professor could examine the eye, place a protective contact lens in and escort me to recovery, Having suffered from two eye ulcers in the past, I was sceptical of the claims that there was no pain during surgery but I can honestly say that I felt nothing during the procedure, the numbing eye drops are extremely effective. I was worried before that I would want to blink during surgery; however, at no stage did I feel the need to, so effective were the drops. Professor Dan contacted me that evening to make sure that everything was well and I sept like a baby, with no pain as the anaesthetic eye drops wore off. The following day I returned to the clinic for Professor Reinsten to remove the protective contact lenses, confirm that the eye had already began to seal itself and verify that my eye sight was already above the legal limit for driving. As I had opted for blended vision, there is a period of time before I will realise the true benefits as the brain will need to learn how to interpolate the two images into one effective picture. Now 3 months post surgery my long range vision is superb, my reading vision is excellent and I could not be happier with the result.

No more steaming up glasses, no more swimming blind, no more searching for my glasses, no more clearing rain drops from my view, no more eyelashes hitting my glasses, no more baby grabbing them from my face, the list goes on and on! When I open my eyes in the morning it’s immediately ultra HD and not blurry! The reasons you should choose London Vision Clinic over other clinics: • You know exactly what you are paying before hand and everything is included (I had to have extra visits and drops due to having dry eyes, first thing that come to my mind “they are just saying this because it’s more money in their pocket” NOT TRUE! As it’s all included. My friend choose a clinic which quoted her half the price than LVC so went there, turns out with all the hidden extras it was more expensive! And her care wasn’t anything like what the London vision clinic provided! • They are not pushy! One thing that really bugged me when I asked for information from another clinics was they called me every other day hounding me to make a decision. • Eye drops are included, running out of eye drops? No problem they have them delivered to you NEXT DAY! • My eye was itchy so I called the clinic they had a doctor call me back within an hour and they sent me out a different type of eye drop that I arrived in less than 15 hours after speaking on the phone! All included! I am absolutely over the moon! 1 regret I have is I waiting so long to do it! Thank you LVC!! You are forever in my heart!!

I had many appointments at many eye clinics across UK. Optical Express disappointed me with their service and Optimax never called me back. London Vision clinic was all about me. My health, my thoughts and concerns. Everything was discussed, all risks, procedures, etc. Staff were polite with excellent customer care. Doctors are great, highly skilled, trained, professional. On the day of my surgery I was offered a massage for relaxation, and all my concerns raised after the surgery I solved by calling the clinic and discussing my questions with doctors. All aftercare procedures were straightforward and easy to manage. Fast and reliable service. I have been wearing glasses since I was 4 years old (now 28) with a fairly strong long-sighted prescription (+6.5) and thought I was beyond help after being turned away by high street clinics because of my prescription. I've always been extremely active, playing multiple sports from a young age and managed to 'get by' with glasses and contacts on the most part. After some research, I thought I would give it one last shot with London Vision Clinic as they seemed to have the credentials to treat stronger prescriptions. As cliche as it sounds 'I wish I had done this sooner'! The consultations were efficient and the staff were always professional and extremely friendly. The optometrists provided a large amount of information, were open to questions and were honest with expectations. After finding I was eligible for LASIK, I met with my surgeon (Dr Glenn Carp) who again talked frankly and honestly and was there to answer any questions I had. The procedure itself was completely pain free and over within 10 minutes (albeit a bizarre experience) and Dr Carp talked me through the whole procedure. I experienced an hour of discomfort (think chopping onions) after getting home once the anesthetic wore off, but after a quick nap the discomfort had gone entirely. I returned to work within 48 hours (staring at a screen). Personally it took me about a week to 'settle in' to my new prescription. You have to bear in mind your eyes are recovering from surgery, I was still able to work but my eyes were often tired by the end of the day. But after the first week, I barely noticed. I'm coming up to 1.5 years after surgery and I achieved 20/20 vision from my surgery. I'm not able to put into words how liberating it is to be free of glasses and contact lenses. Wearing glasses for 23 years, I learned to put up with them and didn't realise how much of a tie they were physically and emotionally. I would 100% recommend London Vision Clinic and Dr Glenn Carp especially. If you are considering laser eye surgery, then you really should pay this clinic a visit. This was my own personal experience, and everyone will be slightly different, but I thought it only fair to share my story given how much it has changed my life.

I was exploring corrective laser eye surgery for VERY short sightedness. LVC was very highly recommended to me by 2 independent medical colleagues on Facebook! (I am also a doctor.) The process was the best I’ve ever experienced in ANY customer service setting. From initial enquiry to my ongoing post op care, with check in text messages from my surgeon - Alistair Stewart in between - there is a great deal of true diligence, care and professionalism in this clinic. Even during COVID-19 they kept in touch whilst the clinic closed and when I did go for a follow up appointment, they had the most appropriate hygiene controls in place. The financing arrangements were also very straightforward, easy to understand and affordable. I can’t more than highly recommend them and trying to see if I can get my mum in next! My experience at LVC has been incredibly good from day 1, with all members of staff being extremely helpful with the onboarding process and transparent on the risks and benefits of the surgery. I was able to get clear explanations around which options were available to me and which one they thought to be most suited for my type of eye and age range, including the potential side effects that could be caused by the surgery. I was never rushed to make a decision and Dr. Reinstein and his assistants made sure I understood what I was walking into throughout the whole process, including which steps they would take to minimise all risks. A few months after the surgery, I am still satisfied with the post-op care I am receiving, being contacted directly by the clinic for all follow up appointments. So far the healing process has been very good, I have not experienced any major side effect apart from some spark/glare effect during night-time which I already knew to be a common result after the first few weeks and which should go away in the long run. The staff promptly offered me anti-glare glasses to try for when I ride my motorbike at night time, hopefully these will help with my commuting during winter months.

I had ICL eye surgery at the London Vision Clinic last year, with the procedure being performed by Professor Dan Reinstein. Considering the very high prescription I had, I was advised that the best option for me would be ICL (rather than laser eye surgery). I found the process and my experience with LVC, from beginning to end, to be fantastic. (1) Initial contact & consultation. What I really liked about the initial discussions and meetings was that I felt that I was given all the information needed to make the decision that was right for me. I received a very detailed information pack and was given the opportunity to ask as many questions as I needed. Furthermore, everyone was very open about the risks of the procedure (rather than downplaying these and focusing only on the benefits), which I consider to be vitally important. I also appreciated that at no point did anyone put pressure on me to make a decision. I was allowed to take as much time as I needed. (2) Pre-surgery appointments. Again, these presented an opportunity to have any further questions answered. Furthermore, LVC were VERY thorough in their testing of my eyes. This made me feel more comfortable and less anxious about the procedure, as I felt that they must know my eyes very well by the end of all the testing! (3) Surgery. Surgery on your eyes is going to be an anxiety-inducing procedure for a lot of people, but the nurses really do try their best to put you at ease. I was also so thankful to have chosen Prof Reinstein for my surgery, especially when there was a slight issue during surgery, as he really is incredible at what he does. (4) Aftercare / checkups. This was one of my main concerns when choosing who to do my eye surgery with and was one of the reasons I opted for LVC. The aftercare has lived up to my expectations. When I suffered from some issues post-surgery (ended up being nothing major, but worrying nonetheless), LVC were so responsive and booked me in for a check-up straight away to make sure all was okay. Again, they were very thorough with all their checks and testing. Furthermore, all check-ups have been conducted very safely, with regards to covid safety precautions. I would definitely recommend LVC if you’re considering eye surgery. The ICL surgery has been life-changing (I’ve gone from being 100% dependent on glasses to having 20/20 vision and not requiring glasses at all!) Can’t thank Prof Reinstein & everyone at LVC enough!

I had blended laser surgery (one eye is for long distance and the other for short distance) back in January, having worn glasses since I was 11 (I'm 55 now!) It's the best think I have ever done. The whole process was very straight forward - all the staff were fantastic. On the day of my eye surgery I felt very relaxed and comfortable and it was all over so quickly - no pain at all. I had a lovely shoulder massage before my surgery which was very relaxing too. After surgery my vision was 20/20 in one eye and 20/16 in the other eye (which is 'better than perfect' vision). This result is phenomenal!!! It is better than I could have asked for. After not being able to see my whole life and having to use glasses and contact lenses for most of my life, the freedom of laser eye surgery was amazing! Hi. Just had my lasik blended vision done. Can’t express how pleased I am. I went to all the big names. Had all the tests. I was going to get the lens replacement. They were all professional to be fair. However after my optician recommended these guys I went for a visit as I hadn’t heard of the blended vision. These were a little more expensive but i like the way they explained all options and risks as they do it all. The others didn’t do this surgery. The risk of this surgery is way less basically. So that’s why I went with it. Had the op yesterday in ten mins. My vision today is practically perfect already. No pain. Nothing. It will only get better and better evidently. I am over the moon. All the staff were great. My surgeon glen was a lovely chap. I felt in capable hands. Highly recommended. I’m a new man!

I had my laser eye surgery with Mr Carp in February. The only way I can describe the process from start to where I am now is a breeze. When I made my initial enquiry I was a little apprehensive, as 20 something young woman this would be the biggest 'purchase' I had made so far and it was for essentially cosmetic surgery. However, after my first appointment with Brendan I was put at ease. Everything was explained fully, there were diagrams, models and every question I asked was thoughtfully answered. I came away confident that I had picked the right clinic. In terms of the administrative side of things Meghan has been amazing at finding in my surgery and appointments around my work and life in general. If I needed an early morning or after work appointment she has done her best to make this possible for me. She's even dealt with the issue of me having no phone signal in my work building so most of our communication has had to be over email. Finally onto the surgery itself. I remember arriving, quite nervous and more than a little anxious. But I need not have been. The nurses were all lovely, before the surgery all the aftercare was explained and we eve had some trial runs at getting the drops in right. Before the surgery I was treated to a lovely relaxing massage before my glasses were taken away (this to me was horrifying, I was sure I would not be able to follow anyone - but it was fine!). Then into the surgery room I went. Mr Carp could not have been a more calming or reassuring surgeon. Every small detail is carefully thought out and you are left without any worries. I don't think I was in the surgery room for more than 20 minutes. Then I was taken into a lovely recovery room where you lay down for a short while before the aftercare is explained again before you can make your way home. The next day I had a follow up appointment and there was no need for my glasses! It really is as simple and miraculous as that. I am still under the care of the clinic going back for check ups, the most recent of which was this week. If you are worried about measures in relation to covid-19 then I can reassure you that even before the pandemic the clinic is clean and everything is wiped down, but since coronavirus you will be required have you temperature taken, wear a mask and disinfect your hands. The staff do the same, the reception staff are behind screens so you will feel safe and taken care of. If this essay was not enough I will finish by saying I would highly recommend the London Vision Clinic and I was so glad I made the choice to use them

In October 2019 I had blended laser eye surgery from the LoVC. Every part of the experience was excellent, from the very thorough pre-treatment assessment to the day itself. I was (understandably?) a little apprehensive but the welcome from the staff, the massage and the theatre staff all made me relax - so much so, that the treatment itself lasted but a few seconds and seemed almost like a non-event. Living some distance from London I had to stay in a hotel overnight where I received a call from the nurse that night, to check I was OK, along with txt messages from the surgeon also checking I was OK. I could immediately notice a vast improvement in my vision which has now improved over the last 3 months. I haven’t experienced any halos, or light sensitivity nor any issues driving at night. Overall I am very pleased.

I had my laser eye surgery with The London Vision Clinic about 4 months ago now and my vision has been excellent since then. I find the communication between you and your patient coordinator to be extremely responsive and they aim to answer your queries promptly. The overall procedure was over quickly and they can also provide you with a sedative to help you relax, which is called lorazepam, which I found helpful. I was also provided with extra drops and eye washing solution after my surgery and checkups as I had some mild itching, but overall the procedure was pain free and quick. Mr Glenn Carp done my surgery and he is very professional and polite in person which put me at ease before my surgery. Their offices can get a bit busy however due to the high turnover rate of patients but aside from that I cannot fault the service and would recommend them.

Many people worry about laser eye surgery and that stops them having it done, but, so much has happened in recent years that it's one of the most popular and safest of surgical procedures. To be honest, it was the least painful operation I've had (unlike frozen shoulder surgery!) and it's far quicker. Plus the results are just unbelievable. As someone with a very high prescription (-9.5 and -9.75) I couldn't walk around without my glasses or lenses as I couldn't judge the floor and would have fallen over, so half an hour after surgery to be able to walk out and, despite it being a bit blurry, be able to see the step outside the clinic was a miracle in itself. If you are at all nervous then pay for the best and for me the London Vision Clinic is just that. They don't just have the best surgeons, they have the best optometrists, nurses, support staff and receptionists. It makes your visits relaxing and enjoyable. Post operative care is brilliant too and I've enjoyed the entire experience and only wish I had taken the plunge earlier! I thoroughly recommend them for outstanding care and service.

Having reached the grand old age of 54, realised that my arms were not long enough to enable me to read the most basic things, as well as see the date on my watch, let alone having numerous pairs of readers in every room of the house, I was referred to the LVC and Dan Reinstein by a good friend. The process couldn’t be simpler and the staff couldn’t be more helpful and reassuring throughout the whole process. In addition, Dan is a guy at the top of his field and relies strongly upon the “personal touch” which is so often missing in businesses these days. For the most minimal time spent in theatre (a few minutes) with absolutely no pain or discomfort, in any such way, the results and in such a short space of time, are truly outstanding. It is often said that you can’t put a price on your health and you only get one set of eyes, so in my opinion I couldn’t think of a better way of spending or even investing this amount of money on yourself in a better way. Should have done it years ago !!! Having acted as the proverbial “guinea-pig” in this process, as that is how it works in my house, my wife is now booked in to undergo exactly the same procedure on Monday.

Very happy with how well I was looked after by London Vision Clinic. I wasnt sure how my eyesight would be afterwards but I was pleasantly surprised after they settled down. I was impressed with everything from day one when I went to get my checks done and they were super thorough and fully explained everything. I was still nervous and then I met my surgeon and he was even more reassuring and down to earth and friendly. On the day of my surgery we got there very early and waited in the waiting area they arranged everything like my taxi for after. The nurse took me through my medication which was presented in a lovely case. During the operation I was very nervous but my surgeon talked through every single minute and I felt at ease. I followed all the advice and when I come back the following day my eyesight was good and they let me go back to work. The first check up I had confirmed I had 20/20 vision but due to a fall I haven't had my follow up check up since. However any questions or drops have been provided no problem. I am very impressed by the care and professionalism of lvc. Whilst no doubt not the cheapest around I am not going to look for a bargain when it comes to my vision.

I wore glasses full-time for myopia for around 20 years and had a -3.25 prescription by the time I went for laser eye surgery. I'd considered laser eye surgery a few times over the years, and after some research and initial conversations with a couple of other clinics, London Vision Clinic was the only clinic I got as far as visiting. With the exception of one post-surgery checkup which began around an hour late (which could happen to any clinic - just allow plenty of time on appointment days), absolutely everything else has run completely smoothly. The entire team has been professional and easy to deal with; the professionalism from everybody puts your mind at ease from start to finish. My surgeon was Alastair Stuart and thanks to him I couldn't be happier with my surgery outcome. My vision is now better than 20/20 at 20/12.5, and I haven't experienced any dry eye symptoms at all. It's the little things that make the biggest difference - being able to hug my husband without repositioning my head, put makeup on without standing right in front of a mirror, and going to see 3D films without doubling up on glasses when I inevitably forget to put contacts in. No more cleaning smudged lenses five times a day, no more red marks on the bridge of my nose, no more swapping glasses and sunglasses when I enter and exit buildings, no more ducking away from the steam when I open the dishwasher. Best thing I've ever done :)

London Vision Clinic is the place to go! I love these guys! After requesting more information on laser eye surgery via email, I got a series of inviting emails from Tuuli Monk and after some research I decided to pay them a visit. I was seen by Tuuli and examined by the wonderful Dr Stuart and then rescheduled for further examination on the Artemis. I must add that this happened at a very fast pace, no waiting lists, superb organisation throughout. Additionally, the staff really made all tests and checks feel comfortable (and that's saying something coming from someone who has tried the Artemis - a wet test for determining the layering of your cornea). I particularly appreciated how they made sure you are always aware of the meaning of what is being done or tested, or the negative implications and risks of the procedures. There was absolutely no commercial push in their approach, and I was constantly reassured that this is elective and entirely my decision based on the findings of the upcoming tests. I was classified as a high-risk patient due to the thickness of my cornea. All of this was discovered, discussed and scheduled during my initial appointment with Dr Stuart and I believe that the way this was carried out, with great medical expertise and customer care, was pivotal for my decision to go through with this Clinic. Because they were great from day one. When the Artemis results came through, as they were positive, I finally got to meet Dr Glenn Carp, whose attitude towards the surgery, his amazing calmness and persona really put me at ease and confirmed my decision to have the surgery. He further explained that it was solely due to their technology (the Artemis) that they were able to carry out the tests necessary to ascertain that I am eligible for surgery and that I would have been rejected elsewhere. On the day of the surgery I got to experience Dr Carp at work and could not be more impressed with his delivery. It can be a scary experience, having an excimer laser in your eye and being awake through it, although it is not painful and it is surprisingly short. But when you are there, it is extremely important that you are made to feel comfortable and relaxed. And Dr Carp was instrumental in that. He talked me through what he was doing, in a calm, composed, confident voice, and before I knew it it was done! And yes, you even get a toy to hold! I cannot stress enough the importance of having a caring surgeon and nurses around you when all you can see is a milky mixture of reality, and for that I am immensely grateful. They provided instructions on how to apply the drops prior to the surgery, and checked on me on the day of the surgery via phone and text. I even got Dr Carp's outside of work number in case of emergency! I had a post-op check the day after and monthly ones since. They were very fast to deliver when I called about anything, be it a vision-related concern or the need for extra drops. My post-op monthly checks were with Lizzie (Elizabeth Rowe), and she is by far the most professional and pleasant optometrist I have ever been examined by, and I've had glasses for two decades prior to the surgery. From day one, these guys do it right, and then they keep up that standard throughout. A great combination of medical expertise, great customer care, great customer relations, and a visible effort from all members of the staff to deliver excellent services. Thank you!

From entry to the clinic (where you are greeted by mostly very polite reception staff) to the waiting room (where you have access to all kinds of free snacks and drinks while you wait) to the examinations with friendly, expert optometrists and (eventually) the friendly, extremely capable surgeon, the process was easy and comfortable. I had the procedure done without any fuss and without any unpleasant side-effects, and I am perfectly happy with the result. I cannot recommend LVC enough!! I had my one year check up yesterday following LASIK surgery last year and my vision is still better than 20:20. From my first consultation to my final check up, right the way through I have been made to feel very welcome, relaxed and comfortable. On the day of my surgery, before the procedure I had a lovely complimentary neck and shoulder massage which helped to calm my nerves. Quite expensive, but you get what you pay for, and you can't cheap out on your eyes! The aftercare is amazing, I woke up with double vision and was able to just text the clinic with my concerns and got a reply shortly after reassuring me that it was just dry eye, followed the advice and it was fine by midday. In my consult I had all the risks explained to me, told realistically what to expect (one of my nerves doesn't work properly so 20/20 was very unlikely), the consult focused on making sure I understood the negative parts and worse case, and explained this is so I could make an informed choice. I was put at ease for the surgery, talked through what happens and when, the staff were happy to arrange transport to my hotel if I needed it, as well as giving me extra drops due to my overly dry eye. The staff were all amazingly friendly and nice, they take the time to know who you are and make you feel welcomed. I had a consultation with a cheaper company before I went with London Vision Clinic and am so glad they were unable to treat me as the difference in service is amazing. If you can afford the extra I would definitely recommend going here. There's also no hidden fees, need extra drops/stronger drops and they provide them, you pay more but you pay for your eyes to be treated not just for eye surgery.

Firstly, I want to say that it you are considering eye laser Surgery, The Vision Clinic should be your first choice! From start to finish my entire experience was amazing. The building is beautiful and well kept, all of the receptionists are friendly and efficient, the Nurses I saw were personable and explained all of my pre and post operative information with care. My Patient Coordinator was named Ellie and she was really kind and she did not make me feel like I was one patient of many. I had been considering eye laser surgery for years. However, I was always nervous about it and also really apprehensive about the unknown. Every day I struggled with contact lenses. I spent a fortune on contact lenses over the years as I bought the best available to keep my eyes moist as I sometimes suffer from dry eye. I used to have to change my contact lenses during the day and use eye drops to stop my eyes feeling so irritated (very annoying!) Before doing anything in the morning, shower, make a cup of coffee etc a had to either put my glasses on or use my contact lenses. They say you should have at least two days off a week from contact lenses to allow your eyes to breath ( I was naughty as I never done this, as I hated not being able to see). Over time I could feel the damage my contact lenses were doing and I always had slightly blood shot and scratchy eyes. Enough was enough! I went online and started to do some research on laser surgery and saw some great reviews on The London Vision Clinic. When I called I spoke to a lady called Terais who was very helpful! I wanted me surgery quiet quickly and she done her best to book all of me appointments to the soonest times that suited me. After all of my appointments on my initial consultation day I left The London Vision Clinic feeling excited. The day cane for my consultation with the amazing Dr Dan Reinstein! Dr Dan Reinstein made me feel assured and involved throughout my consultation. He is a very very experienced Surgeon he and makes you feel safe. On the day of my surgery I was so nervous!!!! But as soon as I arrived at The London Vision Clinic I was offered a head of back massage ( what a great touch!) When the time came for my surgery I went into theatre and Dr Dan Reinstein was there with a big friendly smile! His theatre safe we’re lovely also. I was nervous as I did not know what to expect in regards to how my eyes would feel. I knew they would be numb and I knew the exact procedure I was having but it was still the fear of the unknown. Dr Dan Reinstein spoke to me calmly the entire time he was operating on me, my worry went away. The surgery itself took less than ten minutes!!! It was pain free, and I felt no discomfort at all! Straight after I was taken to dim lit relaxation room and I was then joined by a Nurse that went through my aftercare routine again and the Dr Dan Reinstein arrived and informed me that all went well. When I arrived back at home I just relaxed for the day and took my eye drops at my set times. Light was a bit bright at times but that is to be expected. The day after my surgery I went back to The London Vision Clinic and...... I could seeeeeee!!! 20/20 Vision already. Dr Dan Reinstein assessed my eyes and confirmed that my incisions had already sealed. I just had to continue my antibiotics for the recommended time. I am 7 days post-surgery now and I cannot expected just how happy I am. Laser Eye surgery is literally life changing. My viosion is so clear and it gets better everyday. My vision is better than it was when I wore glasses and contact lenses. The whites of my eyes are bright and I have no discomfort at all. Life looks better! If you are considering this surgery- do it!!! You have one life to live, why not see it in the best way possible. The cost of my procedure was very reasonable. Thank you so much Dr Dan Reinstein!!! I intentionally delayed my feed about my experience with London Vision Clinic for those who want to know how great my vision has become a year later after my surgery. I had the ReLEx SMILE surgery with Professor Dan Reinstein. He was professional, gentle and very caring. The environment in London Vision Clinic inspires you with confidence and calmness. The staff are friendly and although it can get sometimes busy you are literally treated as if you're the only patient they have. They understand that the process is gonna affect the most precious organ in your body and they respect that by all means. Before the surgery I went through an extensive test and discussions about every aspect of the surgery including short-term and long-term effects. The surgery itself takes a few minutes and they supply the after care. Right after the surgery I was able to see clearly..yes I had seen the halo and the starburst effects for a few days and my vision was still unstable but that was very normal and lasted for a month or so. It's been a year now and my vision was progressing to the better each day. Now I see better than a normal person and I don't need my glasses anymore. It has been the best experience I ever gone through. In fact LVC ruined my past experience with other clinics (not specifically in the same speciality) and probably with any future ones. They are working like a well oiled machine. At the end this is the best decision I ever made and I would recommend it to anyone without hesitation.

Very happy with the service. My case was pretty standard I guess so it is possible that I would have got the same great results (from -2.7 to 21/20 vision a day after surgery, basically no dry eyes after few weeks) with a cheaper option too. But I think that the whole process at the LVC is designed very thoroughly to minimize the risk of any complications at any stage (before, during, and after surgery), so for me it was worth paying more just for having this reassurance.

I've just had my 4 week post-op checkup and everything is great. The consultation process was excellent, everything was explained very well and the testing was very comprehensive. I was made to feel like I was paying once for the end result of having better vision, even if that took more treatment which would be included. I was eligible for the keyhole surgery which meant a very quick physical healing time but blurry eyes for 1-2 days. The surgery itself was a little scary but about the same as going to the dentist. It was over in about 20 minutes and I was able to use my phone afterwards to call an Uber home. I had to keep my eyes closed for a few hours but was able to make dinner that night. My vision was a bit blurry that and the next day, a bit like when you're wearing contacts late at night and reading. For the first week I had dry eyes for which I used drops on the recommended schedule of once per hour. I also had 'halos' around lights at night time which didn't really affect my ability to cycle home at night. 4 weeks in and my eyes are nowhere near as dry. I have to use them probably 2-3 times a day when I'm at work (IT worker) and sometimes if I'm dehydrated from a boozy night, other than that they feel fine. Halos have gone and night vision is back to normal. The vision is fantastic. It really feels like a miracle that I just wake up and can see perfectly. It's probably the best money I've ever spent in a large chunk and I feel it will give me pleasure and benefits for tens of years. Fully recommend this clinic if your budget stretches to it, and laser eye surgery in general.

As you can imagine, I did a lot of research about eye clinics. First, I found out that you should never go to a high street or a chain operation, this work is too complex for their people and they don't have the latest ,very expensive kit you need to do a good job. Second, the same name kept coming up time and time again, professor Dan Reinstein, basically because he's the king of this kind of surgery, and not just in the UK, but worldwide. Of course, they do all sorts of eye treatments but I can only talk about my type of treatment for Blended Vision, which is basically where one eye is focused on near things, and the other on far objects, and the brain merges the images together (that's not the scientific explanation, but it describes it more or less); and my objective was to stop wearing glasses. The results are really great. The operation is quick and painless; the aftercare is superb (and included in the price, as are all medications like eye drops etc there are absolutely no extras). the glasses are gone and I am a very happy camper. My advice, pay for the best, go to Prof Dan right now. He'll test your eyes and see if you qualify for surgery (most people are, but not everybody) and within weeks you'll have thrown those glasses away for ever. Good luck.

I had never considered laser eye surgery before, but I started working at the clinic in August 2010 and knew almost immediately I just had to have it done. Seeing so many happy patients every day and learning how efficiently the clinic works, it seemed like madness not to. I was only at the clinic for 3 months before I had my procedure and I can honestly say it's one of the best decisions I ever made. I had a fairly high prescription and before treatment was not even able to read the time on my watch, let alone from a clock on a wall, so it was just amazing to sit up seconds after the treatment to find I could tell the time from across the room. Extraordinary experience- beyond 5 stars! After doing extensive research for laser eye surgery- I decided to go to LVC for an initial consultation to give me a better understanding of the procedure and the after care etc. From the moment i walked into the clinic on my first visit, the staff were all so friendly and helpful and they explained to me the long and short term effects. Having worn glasses and contacts for over 50 years, I never, ever imagined I would be able to see unaided. My vision was so bad that I lived in a dense fog without glasses. From my very first visit to London Vision clinic, I was put at ease and encouraged to ask questions. I was not at all nervous on the day of the procedure but I do remember lying on the table thinking 'This is not going to work. There is no way that such a simple procedure, which takes such a short time, will result in my being able to see.' I knew of many previous patients who were delighted with the results but I just could not comprehend that it would work for me. It was therefore all the more thrilling when I could actually open my eyes and not just see in the distance, but also read without having to put on glasses. The procedure I had was for 'blended vision' and I am absolutely over the moon with the results. Ideal My experience of the London Vision Clinic has been all I could have wished for. I genuinely looked forward to, and enjoyed, every appointment (yes, even surgery day). The initial tests and accompanying explanations were comprehensive and engaging. In the first few days after surgery, I thought of many questions I hadn't asked (and I had asked quite a few), only to realise that every one had already been answered by my optometrist, with perfect foresight, months earlier. It would not have mattered if I had forgotten all the answers, because queries are encouraged and promptly dealt with. The surgery itself was completely painless and lasted only a few minutes. Prof. Reinstein talked me through it as it unfolded, and was all-round perfectly reassuring. There was virtually no discomfort, either during or after surgery. I previously had moderately high myopia and high astigmatism. Two months and three weeks after surgery, I have slightly better than 20/20 vision, and can see better than I did with contact lenses. This is the first review I've ever written and so I think that says a lot itself. From being completely adamant that I would never get laser eye surgery, I saw Phillip Schofield on This Morning go through his journey of undergoing laser eye surgery at the London Vision Clinic and looked into the clinic. Very soon after that I decided to go for an initial consultation and all my concerns regarding laser eye surgery were addressed very reassuringly, as well as this I was given a good estimate of the results I would achieve. After discussing it with my family, I gladly decided to go ahead with the surgery. The worst part of the entire process for myself was the fact that I had to wear my glasses instead of my contacts for several weeks prior to the surgery - if that is the worst part of it all, you can imagine how bad it really isn't. The day of the surgery was very straightforward and very quick. I had already made myself familiar with the process beforehand and so this helped speed things up even more so. The surgery was completely pain free and I was in and out of the room within 10 minutes. I went home via taxi with my family, who had accompanied me on the day, and spent the rest of the day just relaxing and resting my eyes. The post-op check I had the following morning determined that my eyesight was already at 20/20 and considering my eyes were -8 and -7 to begin with, it was quite remarkable to have that level of clarity. I'm writing this review 6 months post-surgery and my eyesight is actually slightly better than 20/20. The customer service provided by every member of staff at the clinic was nothing less than world class and I would like to give a special mention to both Mr Glenn Carp, my surgeon and Rupalee Khiroya, my optometrist, both of whom made my experience very much a memorable one. For anyone reading this review that is undecided as to whether to go ahead with laser eye surgery, I would strongly recommend going to the London Vision Clinic for an initial consultation - from a 25 year old who spent the best part of 2 decades shortsighted, whose life has now been significantly changed for the better.

It is completely natural to be a bit worried when anyone does anything to your eyes and to feel a bit ill just thinking about it! For years I have wanted to not rely on glasses but didn't have the courage to have laser surgery. Contact lenses were a real pain (quite literally) and I always had to think ahead..I had had a couple of consultations years ago with high street places for laser surgery, but it just didn't feel right, and I did read some scary stories on the web. When I found out about LVC, again I was very interested and a bit scared, but when you go with LVC things are different. There is absolutely no question they don't have the answer to, they are completely honest in telling you all the risks (which are really minimal - the one that stuck with me is that there is more risk of complications arising using contact lenses than with laser surgery) and their attitude to patient safety is astounding. I felt very confident throughout the whole process; they check you, check you again, then the surgeon checks you again. Before I decided to go for surgery, I did a bit of research (as much as a lay person can do really) and I read that some high street places often employ eye surgeons who don't specialise in laser surgery but do all types of eye surgery. I also read the the skill of the surgeon is paramount. My surgeon was Dan Reinsten and I know that his whole career has been devoted to improving laser eye surgery. He has done pioneering research and is an expert in the truest sense of the word. I would not entrust my sight to anyone else, and definitely not anyone who isn't a full time specialist. The staff at the clinic are very friendly and professional indeed nothing is too much trouble. Aftercare is amazing, as you are checked the day after your surgery by your surgeon and you have continuing check ups. Its been about 2 months since I had my surgery, and my eyes were a bit blurry on the first day after surgery but, improvement is quick and they are absolutely amazing now and keep getting better! Having the surgery has massively helped with my career and reading from a distance. Now, the world is just a bit more beautiful. It feels like my eyes have been polished - everything is in super HD! I can't recommend the clinic more highly.

My Experience with the London Vision clinic has been exceptional, from the first point of contact, having the surgery, and up until 4 months after the surgery. All the clinic coordinators, and nursing team, have been great along the way, very polite and professional. The eye check up was very thorough, before it was confirmed that I could go ahead and have the lasik blended vision procedure, as this best suited my eyes/prescription. Roughly -7.00 in both eyes with stigmatism in both eyes. Although I had been turned away 3 times in Manchester having being told I was not suitable for any laser treatment. The op with Professor Dan Reinstein went perfect, no pain at all and, lasted probably about 45 seconds per eye,. Amazing, first time I could see without contacts/glasses, although hazy until settling down the next morning. The whole procedure was very calm to my surprise, as I would normally be very nervous. I then went to a waiting room, say for about 20 mins, and sent back to my Hotel, and asked to rest my eyes for a few hours. I was also given painkillers which I didn’t need at all. The only thing that bothered me was having to wear eye protectors for a week whilst sleeping, but well worth it re the outcome. I also received a text on the evening of the operation from Professor Dan Reinstein, and a call a week later from Brendan, to check all was going good. The next morning I went back for a check up, and all was good, I could see the chart at 20/20 vision, and could also see close up, as long as the words were not too small, whereas before I needed reading Glasses for close up all of the time, on top of contact lenses. Although not perfect close up, as I asked for good med to distance vision, along with some reading vision, as I read that if there is a big difference in prescription between both eyes, one for reading and the one for distance it could take some time for your eyes to get used to this blended vision, so I compromised so as to get used to it quicker, to which I have. I have had 2 check ups since, one with Brendan Duane , 1 with Vimal Piparia, who were both pleased with the outcome so far. Also stopped, or very occasionally now use the lubricating drops I was supplied with, as my eyes are not dry at all. Also driving at night is not a problem, no halos or starbursts. So I must say a huge thank you to all at the London Vision clinic, for their friendly professional service, they have provided me with so far, IIt has changed my life for the better. No more contacts/glassses, apart from low presc reading glasses occasionally, ( re my choice of treatment ) , and no more dry eyes late at night, or on hol in the sun. 5+ Star experience all round.

I have enjoyed very good eyesight throughout my life until, at the age of 48, I found that I needed to wear Glasses to assist my reading. My wife was experiencing different issues with her eyes and after researching the subject we both decided to make appointments at LVC. I confess that was very nervous at the beginning, but really shouldn't have been concerned. The extremely detailed tests confirmed that I was a candidate for blended vision laser surgery to restore the ability to read without the aid of glasses. The level of detail provided in response to my questions reassured me of the benefits and so I decided to go ahead with the procedure. The surgery was completed by Professor Dan Reinstein, he put me at ease by talking me through the process at each stage and completed the entire procedure in only a couple of minutes. Following the surgery I adhered to the simple post operative instructions and true to their word my vision reached the targeted levels as promised. After having completed a long due diligence on private clinics offering laser eye surgery, I am delighted I chose LVC. Organisation is great, staff very helpful, and the place is cosy with healthy snacks and nice tea and coffe selections to enjoy whilst you wait. Waiting time for myself was very short so plan ahead otherwise you might not have time to finish your latte ;) Regarding what really matters, medical staff is very knowledgeable and equipment is definitely top quality. After-care is also great and my life is now so much better without having to trouble myself with that glasses/contact lenses malarkey. Financing options are advantageous too. A great clinic with the best results. A clinic on the high street told me that I wasn't suitable for laser surgery and offered lens replacement (scary!) however LVC were perfectly able to treat me. The surgery gave me amazing eyesight and was over in what seemed like two minutes. The surgery itself is not a big deal, you can't feel a thing, it's so quick, and all you see are different coloured lights and it's a bit foggy afterwards, and you even get a teddy and a blanket :) The pre-scanning and aftercare was nothing short of the best. It’s been over a year since I’ve had my surgery and from calling to surgery to after care, it couldn't have been better. I’ve got some what of a compulsive personality yet the service, the care, and information provided was all to the highest standard I can’t fault it. I am so glad I picked LVC and wouldn’t recommend going anywhere else other than the best especially when it comes to your eyes. A big thank you to my surgeon Dr Glenn Carp, who was very easy to talk to and always helpful whenever I had any questions. He made me feel at ease and comfortable with the procedure and the surgery was over so quick I didn’t even realise it. I had opted for the Smile procedure - I could see right after the surgery but it was quite hazy/misty. I think with different people it can take different times to recover but no doubt it will recover. Most of the hazey/misty effect was gone after a week. For me it took around about 2 months for the haze/mist affect to completely disappear and it was back to normal, of course with added advantage of being able to see without contacts or glasses. Thank you to my optometrist Sharon who carried out the pre and post examinations as well as my aftercare, again, very easy to talk to and answered all my questions. I wake up sometimes and I have to remind myself I’ve had laser surgery because I’ve forgotten what it felt like to not have 20/20 vision. One of the best decisions I made, but the added service and care from LVC made it all worth while. Thanks again to all the team at LVC.

You get what you pay for at LVC - it's expensive, but you get excellent service for your money. Laser eye surgery isn't something you want to get from the cheapest provider in my opinion. I just wanted to know I was going to get the best treatment and I feel that's what I got from LVC. The best moment for me was when I first met the surgeon, Mr Stuart. I was feeling a bit unsure about the whole thing, after reading the scary-sounding document which lists everything that could possibly go wrong. But he explained it all clearly and put everything into perspective and I walked out of that meeting feeling completely different - I felt positive about the surgery and didn't have any doubts about going ahead. I'm so glad I did it - it's no exaggeration to say that it has improved my life. Five months on from the surgery my eyes haven't quite healed 100% yet, but I'm being well looked after and having additional appointments with the optometrist - which is all part of the service.
