The service at Optical Express was extremely good! From being welcomed in , to every step that i had to take before going for my consultation was exceptional! Robert took the me for pre tests / explained briefly the types of laser etc he was a lovely man made me comfortable and not too nervous about the information regarding laser eye surgery! You know when they say someone has good vibes? Robert had that! He was kind and patient ( i had lashes on so some of the tests took longer 🤣 ) but he didn’t mind he made jokes and was happy! God bless you Robert!!! Xx

I had the most positive consultation experience at Optical Express London Harley Street! It started with a friendly call from Saadia to confirm my appointment and explain what to expect at the clinic. On my visit, I met Osa who guided me through the extensive eye tests and clearly explained what each of the 5 machines measured. Next, Amandeep performed further examination on my eyes and reviewed my options. At each step, I felt reassured and confident that my best interests were paramount. Amandeep presented all the facts for me to decide how to proceed without any sales pressure. I greatly appreciated that everything was clearly explained, so that I would not have any unrealistic expectations from the procedure. When I woke up one morning experiencing flashing lights and floaters in my right eye I was able to get an appointment to see an Optician that morning. I went to the Harley Street branch and was seen straight away and received excellent care. The tests were carried out with professionalism but also reassuring me. I was then seen by the optician who quickly assessed my condition as a posterior vitreous detachment and reassured me that despite the short term effects to the sharpness of my vision I had nothing to worry about. Outstanding professionals and friendly care. During my first free consultation I receive a very thorough examination of my eyes to determine if I was suitable for the procedure. Next step was to book a call with my surgeon to discuss concerns and questions. And the next step was the surgery itself! I like that you have a some appointments for check-ups after the surgery as well. My LASIK eye surgery went great and my vision is already 20/20. All the professionals made me feel in great hands and at ease. I can't recommend them enough!

Disclaimer: I didn't have surgery. I was considering laser eye surgery and contacted Optical Express. After the initial telephone call they organised a consultation. Everything was very smooth and quick. The lady on the phone explained everything and was very helpful. Then everyone I met with at the consultation was polite and professional. I explained my concerns and fears about the surgery. They assured me that it is very safe and said that they guarantee 20/20 vision or your money back! After the consultation, all my concerns were addressed and I most definitely would have gone ahead with the surgery. However, I have a lazy eye and the optometrist advised that although the risk is small, she would not feel comfortable exposing my one good eye to risks and recommended I don't go ahead with surgery. I really appreciated their honesty and I think this goes against a lot of the reviews saying they are a conveyor belt company that only cares about sales and money. I got a free eye test and health scan out of it so can't complain!

I had my LASIK iDesign done few day ago at Harley Street clinic and it was just amazing! I love the result. I am utterly shocked and surprised how quickly my vision improved to the level that is incomparable to glasses which I used to wear for the past 13 years. My client advisor Kinga was brilliant, competent and extremely friendly. She answered all my questions and explained financing options available for me. The optometrist, Amandeep was equally friendly and outlined the procedure step by step including vivid metaphors which helped me to understand what I can actually expect in practice so I felt at ease and ready for it. The surgery itself was conducted by Mehul Damani who again was very friendly and patiently answered all my questions which allowed me to calm down as the minutes just before the surgery started were quite stressful for me. I was so surprised at how quick the procedure was. Literally, it lasted few minutes and was completely painless. I regret I have not had it done earlier. Highly recommended!

I went for a consultation and was mainly assisted by Hardip, who usually works in the blue water branch. She was amazing; so caring, knowledgeable and really sold laser eye surgery to me. If it wasn’t for Hardip I don’t think I would have committed on the day and I’m glad I did it as laser eye surgery has really made a difference. I do think the consultation could be a little quicker as I was there for over 3 hours Most other people at Harley street are nice and helpful. However, on the day of my surgery I did feel a little rushed. I am one week post surgery and my eyes are still adjusting. The clinic could also use a little update, reminds me of an older office.

Best experience I've had, ever. After months of deciding whether to get a laser eye surgery, I decided to jump the gun and went for it. I booked myself an appointment for today to find out my suitability for it. First impressions: The team were very welcoming and friendly. The place itself was kept clean and well maintained. Kinga and the team were superb. I honestly cannot fault their customer service, made the whole process smooth and enjoyable. She made sure that I was informed about everything and explained it all in detail. In the end, I was suitable for laser eye surgery and opted for the iDesign iLASIK. Had my consultation on 18th March and had the LASIK surgery on 2nd April, and couldn't be happier with the process and results. The process was clearly explained during the consultation and on the day of the surgery. Since the surgery, the guys at Harley Street have helped been very supportive during my recovery process (multiple check ups), and providing eye drops etc. And of course, my surgery went very well - I now have better than 20/20 vision and my eyes felt 90% fine as soon as 12 hours after the surgery. Would strongly recommend these guys at Harley Street if you're considering laser eye surgery, it couldn't have gone better for me.

I had my eyes done at Harley Street for Lasik, and had to have another procedure to flatten the flap on the left eye. It's totally worth it to see again. It was definitely nerve racking but the staff were so incredible and kind that it was overall a great experience. My eyes are still healing but I can already see better. In particular, Paul was absolutely incredible. He was clear, calming and explained things in a way that made them simple and less terrifying. Thanks to him, I was able to get the second procedure, and get both eyes sorted and feeling better. Paul is honestly one of the best people I've met, absolutely amazing at his job, and really helped me through the whole process. My check up is in a month, but I'm already feeling better. Paul is an absolute hero! And I would highly reccomend this clinic and procedure.

Can only say how happy I am from having Lens Replacement Surgery with Optical Express/Harley Street. Will not lie and say I wasn't nervous because I seriously was but from Consultation, Surgery and After Care every member of staff was as professional and thorough as expected and some. From the first person that assisted with my consultation (Kinga) to the surgeon (Danny) and Gena, Marta, Nasir the list goes on at Westfield. My vision is back to the way it was when I was a child. Can see 2 inches from my nose and can read a car number plate honestly at 100 metres. So now you have more of an understanding of my happiness without having to put contacts in and out of my eyes ever again. BTW you don't feel a thing!

I'm 8 months post laser surgery and its gone great so far. My pre op assessment was smooth and I was given an option of surgeons and dates. I had my surgery and then covid restrictions came in place so I didn't have the follow up as planned. However I was contacted over the phone and given advice and asked to book in when restrictions lifted. Saw Saf today who was very thorough and helpful. The admin team and people at the front desk are always helpful (especially the lady who was there today, sorry I keep forgetting to ask your name) I would happily recommend optical express based on my initial 8 months todate.

Optical Express have been fabulous and yes I should have done this sooner! To give you some background, I WAS severely short sighted with astigmatism and have been wearing spectacles for more than 30-years. I had been apprehensive (for a few years) about any form of refractive surgery but finally pinched myself "now or never". The Optical Express team have been excellent from Consultation, to Optometry, in Surgery and Aftercare (Optometry again). Take my surgery experience: it was extremely professional, the theatre was akin to NASA Space Station, the procedure was well choreographed ("please state your name and date of birth" in a militaristic sense to avoid mix-ups...) the surgeon and his team very experienced and made good judgements. For me, being pulled from the bench after surgery was like the Great Awakening in a religious sense....God I can see!! (albeit cloudy). I am now going through Aftercare. I have been visiting the optometrist at Optical Express who is following-up on my recovery. I have had four aftercare review sessions within 2-months after surgery. My eyes are still recovering (cones and rods in the retina are recovering) yet I can now drive, walk, run and do my crazy things without glasses . Amazing for me and my family. Spent some time searching for a clinic for my surgery and initially I was anxious. However after having the surgery a few days ago and after the consultation my overall impression is a very good one. The staff and the surgeon answered all my questions and they seemed very professional, the procedure (iLasik) was fast (5 mins I think) and painless and I was frequently told what to expect before the procedure. After the next day consultation they confirmed my 20/20 vision, and the first day after the procedure was ok with not too much discomfort. Also I appreciated that the staff was caring and polite. Regarding the price, it depends on the prescription , but everything needed is included(consultation, aftercare medicine, eye tests as many as needed etc) and therefore i did not have surprise-expenses.

Having eye surgery is a big decision and I’m very happy I chose to go through the journey with Optical Express, particularly the team at Harley Street. Following my LASEK surgery, I had 4-7 days of discomfort, some pain, light sensitivity, and poor vision but followed the aftercare instructions and this had improved significantly by 1 week later. 1 month on from surgery, my vision has stabilised and is nearly 20/20 (with some improvement still to come as it stabilises further over the next month) and my eyes are comfortable and only dry some mornings. This is solved by the eye drops provided. All tests prior to surgery were professional and thorough and I was given all the information needed to make my decision to go ahead. I had a useful call with my surgeon Dr Danny Mitry (who was excellent - look up his qualifications) ahead of surgery, which put my mind to rest about the details of the procedure and what to expect. The staff at the Harley Street and Shaftesbury Avenue clinics were extremely helpful, informative, caring and friendly throughout my prep, surgery day, and aftercare. I would just like to say thank you so much to the team!

I had Lasik iDesign surgery at Harley Street on 19/07/2019 after my initial consultation two (2) weeks prior and a chat with my surgeon on 11/07/2019. When I went to their office for the first time, I was greeted my really friendly members of staff, from receptionist staff all the way to staff who checked my eyes and done the tests. Everyone had a smile on their face and they looked like they wanted to actually be there and help customers. They were very approachable and easy to talk to. I had my initial consultation with Kinga who went through everything with me after my test were conducted. She informed me about how much the surgery would cost and the different finance options available. She was able to all of my questions in relation to the cost and the surgery itself. I was so pleased with the service provided by everyone there at that time, that I ended up putting a £500 deposit to have surgery on both of my eyes there and then. After putting my deposit down and confirming that I wanted to get surgery with them, Kinga informed me about who my surgeon was going to be and gave me a folder with informative documents. I was told that I would need to attend Shaftsbury Avenue to have a face to face conversation with my surgeon a week before my surgery. However, due to my profession and shift pattern, this was not suitable for me. As such, Kinga quickly called their other branch in Shaftsbury Avenue and spoke to a member of staff there about this. Together, they were able to change my face to face conversation to being an over the phone chat with the surgeon instead, which was more suitable for me. Fast forward to 11/07/2019 which was the conversation with the surgeon. I was told that he would call me between 15:00 hours and 16:00 hours. At around 14:35 hours, I received a call from my surgeon, Dr. Dipak Parmar. Dr. Parmar sounded very friendly over the phone and sounded keen to fix my eyes. He was able to answer my questions and put me at ease. Prior to the conversation, I did see his profile as provided by the surgery itself and knew that my eyes were in good, capable and experienced hands. Fast forward to 19/07/2019, the day of the surgery at Harley Street. Once again, I was greeted my friendly members of staff and was looked after and taken care of throughout my stay at the surgery. Before the surgery, they conducted some tests again to make sure that my eyes were still suitable for the surgery. During the surgery itself, I was told what was going to happen and the procedure was explained in enough depth and detail. The surgery was not entirely painless as some people think. There was a moment of pain when the surgeon had to put pressure on my eye to be able to do the flap. This pressure lasted for about 15 seconds each eye. To make it easier for me though, one of the nurses was counting down in the background. While this was being done, there was a very bright light on the machine which made me tear up really bad. However, once this was done, I was quickly put under the laser and my eyesight was fixed. The procedure for each eye took about a minute, if even. The laser bit was painless. After the surgery, although my eyes were still blurry and in tears, I was able to see an immediate improvement in my eyesight. I no longer needed to put my glasses on to be able to see stuff in front of me. It was absolutely amazing. I was then taken to another room where the aftercare was explained to me and I was given eye drops and some goggles to wear at night. After that, I was told that I would need to attend my checkup appointment the next morning which they had booked for me. Having had my surgery, I left. I woke up the next morning with perfect vision and zero pain. I was told at my checkup that I have 20/20 vision and I was able to read the very bottom of the chart without aid. I was also told that overtime, as the eyes heal, my eyesight will improve and become sharper. Overall, I would definitely recommend Optical Express at Harley Street to friends and family. It was not cheap, but 100% worth every penny!

Had my Lasik eye surgery 2 weeks ago and I couldn't be happier. On my initial visit I was greeted by Jenaya, who was so friendly, welcoming and informative. Made me feel at ease about the whole process, gave us all the options, talked us through the tests performed beforehand and through the whole procedure. She checked my work schedule to make sure she wouldn't be calling for follow ups at inconvineant times (I work nights) and was kind enough to email me available surgery dates once we had decided to go ahead. I was scheduled for my procedure this morning, but upon final consultation, it was realised that I needed to be fitted with some trial contact lenses prior to having the procedure. This was picked up by my Surgeon (who's name I wish I had) - who went through all the details of why I should have the trial, which was fully supported by the Manager (again, who's name I wish I had). Both very professional and gave great advice and made me feel comfortable that it was okay to delay my treatment until after the trial. I felt that the consultant was very personal and not just another patient on a conveyor belt. Thank you!

Shaltiez M. was the nurse who prepared me for surgery and he did an amazing job putting my nerves at ease and talking me through what he was doing. Mehul D. was my surgeon and he was very calm, knowledgeable and patient. I was struggling with keeping my eye open and he worked with me to get me through the surgery successfully! I had LASIK surgery 2 days ago through Optical Express and I just wanted to write a review to say how happy I am with the results! They had really great service all the way through from the initial consultation through to surgery. Really friendly and professional staff. A day after my LASIK I had excellent vision with zero side effects or complications (except for the normal bruising on my eye which looks funny haha). When I went home from surgery my eyes were very irritated, which is normal, and I was thinking to myself "was this worth it??". The next morning I woke up and I could honestly say, "yes it was!". I was seen very quickly on the morning of my surgery. Firstly I was taken to complete the eye pressure test, sight test and iDesign scan before awaiting my talk with my surgeon Dr Mitry. Dr Mitry explained the surgery with great clarity and although it was extremely nervous his calm tone and manner made me feel more at ease. I cannot fault the surgery for being clean and its staff friendly and approachable. The aftercare was explained to me after surgery and was given my set of eyedrops and a leaflet explaining when to take them and was ready to go home (I was only in optical express for just over an hour). It's a week since I've done my surgery for both eyes and I'm extremely satisfied with both the care and the results. I was seen by Elizabeth who was very clear and made it easier for me to make the decision to do the operation. Dr Patel did the surgery and I should say he is more of an artist; you couldn't tell next day that I had done an eye surgery! It takes longer for me to walk anywhere because I keep stopping and reading the signs! Highly recommend visiting the clinic and consider this, life clearly changes after!

Excellent service! Couldn't ask for a better experience and if it takes time to take you into their office, just remember they are having a good time with people. They don't interact like robots but like people who encourage this life changing process and they certainly explain everything in detail. My advisor was called Kinga and she's the top ball at this place; if you're lucky to get her, certainly try to have a laugh with her. The operation was handled well and I did feel like I could be comfortable with today's eye machines, makes me really appreciate our enhancements in research and development!

Regarding the surgery: -If your vision really affects your life, like in my case (-7 both eyes), then do it at Harley street. This is the place to get it done, no question about it. -But if you think getting rid of glasses will make you 'look better' and you see the operation from a cosmetic point of view, then don't do it. For minor vision improvement the operation is not worth it. But if your vision is really bad, and you struggle to make out the faces in front of you, go for it. EDIT: Got a call from the optical express today to say that my remaining refund is being processed which is good so huge thank you to the customer service. Things do end up getting done it just takes time (more than 6 months in my case), but I definitely still recommend getting everything that is promised in an email for future reference xx Was told I need to go to another branch for a different procedure and had to pay a £500 deposit, I was a bit hesitant but they ASSURED me that if I decide I want to cancel or after visiting them I didn't want to go ahead, I can get my deposit back. This was right before lockdown. When lockdown happened, I couldn't go to my appointment so I asked for a refund/to postpone my appointment, they told me they can only give me half back, and I agreed to it for now. Months later and no refund, I called again to finally say I am no longer looking at doing the surgery with them so would like to get my refund and they said they can give me a full refund, but then the next day another sales rep called me to ask me when I wanted book an appointment and told me there is no way I can get my refund back.. After several correspondence, manage to get £350 back, but was told a £150 is charge as an admin/cancellation fee. I told them I was assured and promised I'll get my full refund back and they once again said that they can't do that. I've tried calling this branch back every day to talk to the rep that assured me I'll get my refund but haven't been able to get through now. Basically don't believe whatever they say and if they promise you anything, get it in writing.

Brilliant experience. I was worn glasses since early childhood and many times before I was told that only glasses are option for me. I have rare cataracts in one of my eyes, beside astigmatism and I was short sighted. I decided to go for operation even I know that getting 20/20 vision will be unlikely and maybe I would need to use reading glasses later on. So after 6 mont from operation I can confirm that my vision is 20/20. I can work on a computer for hours without any discomfort or pain which was standard when I worn glasses. Fakt, I have slight dryness in one of my eyes but it is not persistent and depend on some particular circumstances. I am very happy with the service provided starting from a consultion and the aftercare.

I must temper this by saying I can see without glasses, and it's amazing. On the technical front, they did a good job. I also thought the support staff, who walked me through post op care, were kind and supportive. All that said... The surgeon was a bit brusque. Surgeons treat patients as a mechanic would treat a car if a car suddenly reversed without warning while he was fixing it; the human body reacts instinctively to things and I'm sure that's very annoying, but I could not help it, and the bedside manner of the surgeons left a lot to be desired. The level of discomfort, the length of it and the extent / length of photosensitivity were also understated. Fair warning would have been appreciated. I was not fine after 24 hours. I had to take Monday off work. For the next week I couldn't see my computer green well at all and had to enlarge the font. I read that guidance literature very carefully... I don't remember anything about that. And the surgery itself: it's all very well to tell me it doesn't hurt because I have local anaesthetic, but that doesn't account for the discomfort of the eye clamps, drops and contact lens insertion. 30 seconds, my eye (so to speak!) - the prep work takes minutes. NONE of this would matter if they had simply been upfront about it. The fact that they sanitised it just made it an unpleasant surprise.

The surgery was scary but fine, straight after the op i was in a lot of pain, Optical Express should have given me pain killers before I left the surgery and they should make sure that everyone has someone with them to take them home, I had someone with me but no one recommened that I bring someone and they should. I was better when the pain killer had kicked in, and managed to sleep. I was fine after 5 hours, and fine to work the next day. Also this is the first oportunity I've had to give feedback as the computer has been broken after each of my apointments. Overall I'm very happy with the results and service. Excelent service. My optometrist Elizabeth instantly put me at easy, and gave me her full attention. After assesing my eyesight, she talked me throught the options available for at present and in the future. I have been given full information about surgery, what could be done and possible results. All my questions were fully answered. In my case the improvement of my short distant vision could be achieved only by compromising my long distance vision. So I have been given an oportunity to find out how my vision could be after surgery by wearing a contact lens in one eye for a week. I found it too much of a compromise and didn't go for surgery.
