Waited 18 mins to be served, too many people in the store, more like a playground with all the kids running around. At least they sort out my glasses. 3 stars for finally serving me, no apology for waiting but the team looked stressed so 3 stars is fair.

My usual Specsavers. Generally customer service is good, waiting times could always be better but staff are nice about it. On my most recent visit Rani was my optician. She was brilliant. Very bubbly, very happy to answer all my questions and give me more helpful and relevant information. 5 stars for her. This Specsavers also has a Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS). This allows you to see an optician on the NHS (free of charge) if you have what is considered a minor eye condition e.g. red eye, itchy eye etc.

Had to have an in depth eye health check. The optician was very good, and told me there was nothing to worry about as it wouldn't hurt. Pleased to say that it didn't and my eyes are ok.

Very good experience. Timing was perfect, my appointment was at 3:55PM and the person who did my pre test came at exactly that time. Social distancing and coronavirus protocol was followed very well, but the limited chairs could lead to a lot of congestion in the far corridor as there are only 4 chairs and today there was up to 8 people in that area at one point but it is usually just 4-5 people. However, that said, everything else was impeccable as around 10 minutes after my pre test, despite there being a few people ahead of me, the staff took me to my eye test. The eye test was great, staff member dealing with me was very nice and also told me the instructions very clearly. She also said a very funny joke at the end, something we do not hear very often in 2020! Overall what you need to take from this is that the three ways you can describe this place is: very good, very professional and very clear.

Very happy with the service recieved at the Dalston Branch. All staff very helpful. In Particular Nuh and Hassan helped me pick the perfect glasses and case. All the ladies in the testing rooms very helpful and every single item of equipment was cleaned infront of me before I had to use them which was reassuring.

Had my yearly eye test at Specsavers in Dalston. Can be very busy there but this time it was not too bad. Got checked pretty quickly and the test from start to finish took around 30 minutes. I was told I needed to purchase reading glasses and I received a voucher for 50% off. I have not as yet purchased my glasses but I have 6 months to use the voucher so no rush.

Quick and professional service. Free eye test on offer at the time. Was given advice and options on new lenses for an old pair of sunglasses and am very pleased with the result. They also reshaped my glasses for free as I'd bent them slightly.

The staff are very friendly and once you are seen, the service cannot be faulted. However, I’ve been coming to your store for a number of years now, and the chaotic system of staff walking around wondering who to serve next is baffling. Equally I’m not a big fan of wondering around trying not to impose on staff if, they are helping someone else. You need to get a better system in place.

Very attentive staff, even when the place is very busy. When you call to book your appointment, if you ask them, they will give you the times they are usually quiter and book you in for then, although even when it's busy I have never found myself waiting for too long... Even with an easily bored toddler in tow! Quick, polite and friendly. I hadn't been to an optician in 10+ years when I first went here, so was a little nervous, but I was quickly put at ease when I went, now I can finally see normally again :)

Great service. I didn't think I'd find anything for my face but fame away with 3 pairs of prescription specs! 2 for one and a pair od sunglasses. They can get really busy, so prepare to wait or come back. Before I booked myself in for an eye test, I tried on various-loads of glasses, so that I idnt feel obligated to purchase. My sunnies, I found in a split second as prescription glasses was suggested....very happy indeed

The appointment was kept to time. It's quite a small store though the service from the optometrist was professional. The examination room was down a set of extremely steep stairs and was very very small. After selecting frames, the staff were friendly though a bit pushy when it came to extras being offered. I ended up confused at the pricing for my glasses as the sales assistant rattled through the price. Even the receipt was unclear. I eventually ended up paying far more than the adadwvertised 2 for 1 offer initially suggested I would pay. It then took 2 weeks to prepare my glasses for pick up. Previously, I had new glasses from a small independent opticians in rural Devon who provided an excellent service costing a fraction of what I paid here and had the glasses ready in a week. Unless you are very specific on what you need and will benefit from the 2 for 1 offer, then I would recommend supporting your local independent opticians.

I’ve been coming to this specsavers for 3 years and I’ve always have good friendly service. I recently came in for an eye test and to get a new pair of glasses and was very happy with the service from one particular member of staff, Zaman was very helpful while I was choosing my glasses he didn't rush my decision and wanted me to find a pair I was happy with in the long run and suited me! I have a pair of new glasses I’am very happy with and feel he helped me make a good choice!

Specsavers Dalston is a very busy place, mainly due to the location and notable efficiency of the staff. I went with my son and each minute we spent there, one staff or another was making sure we had a great experience and we did. My son got a frame that suits him. We got all the features his spectacles needed and we are both happy.

I love this specsavers. The optometrist was very professional, spent a lot of time answering all my questions, had a pleasant sense of humour and was far more thorough than my exponentially more expensive optometrist in the US. The sales assistants also were remarkably patient with my obsessive need to try on about half the frames in the store before making a selection, and they were quick to accept my return of the glasses I finally did choose, about a month after I received them. Hint for getting the best SpecSavers price: they always offer a 50% discount on the next pair of glasses after you purchase one at full price. So buy the cheapest pair of standard reading glasses or sunglasses you can use for 29 pounds, and then the next, more expensive pair will be 50% off, inclusive of any extras you purchase like Varifocal or extra thin lenses, which aren't included in the 2-for-1 offer. If you always follow this approach at SpecSavers you will always save more than with any other offer. I tell my American friends to buy their glasses in the UK at SpecSavers if they can, because between optometrist and glasses, glasses cost at least double at the big American chains than they cost at SpecSavers. Optometrists in the US are way more expensive and less comprehensive.
