Just had an eye test here and bought a pair of glasses and sunglasses. I have quite a strong prescription so this is something that’s always hard as I often can’t have the glasses I want. I was seen to by David and Donna and they were absolutely 10/10 fantastic. The staff at this store are so friendly and make so much effort for their customers. David did my eye test and he made a huge effort to talk to me about my interests as I was holding a sketch book and he made me very comfortable during my appointment. Donna helped me choose some frames that suit me and work with my strong prescription, she was very upbeat and kind. Both staff were amazing. Really excited for my new specs + sunnies 🕶👓 !

Would like to thanks just about everybody in Specsavers Maidstone today even the customers! I bought my mum in for an eye test after a long stay in hospital, she suffers with anxiety and aggro phobia so getting her to appointments is often a challenge in itself. I also had my two young children for the journey too. Potentially a recipe for disaster. Everyone was incredibly warm, smiley and welcoming, incredibly important for mum. The shop was very busy but we didn't feel rushed or stressed and in the waiting area the kids got a cute colouring book with some pencils which was an unexpected bonus. I wish I knew the gent's name that carried out mum's eye test but he was just so kind. That goes for everyone to be honest, nothing was too much trouble. I wish that every appt we have to attend as an entourage would be half as positive. Highly recommended - thank you very much :)

I had an eye test this morning at the Maidstone, week street branch, it was my first visit to this branch, as I have recently moved. I would like to express my gratitude to Rihana, who did the actual eye test, and who I found to be extremely polite and professional. Also, many thanks to Becky, who was really warm, friendly, and super efficient! Becky kindly repaired my glasses, which I accidently sat on, and also helped me find a new pair of frames, so I had a spare set. Becky explained all my options regarding styles and prices clearly, and politely, and I felt like she gave me 100% of her attention. I have to say, that I have not experienced such brilliant service from anyone in a while, so thank you Becky!

Would have been 5 stars but,unfortunately, kept waiting far too long at the final stage of ordering glasses, so only 4. Returned following week to collect glasses and was told there was at least a 30 minutes wait so left and went back again the following day and waited just a few minutes, hence I have downgraded to 3 stars overall.

Good opticians. Could do with an extra few chairs to sit down , not sure why they got rid of the seats ??? Can be uncomfortable standing up for a while. They've dropped the convid1984 mask wearing nonsense, thankfully . Don't think they've realised it's a hoax as yet to bring in the World Economic Forums 'great reset', cashless society, 5g tracking etc etc

Staff prompt, friendly and efficient, however staff used dettol antibacterial spray in that small/little room to clean the machine while I was sitting in front of the machine before use and the dettolnchemicals spray went straight up my nose, which left me with headaches later on in the day. Ruined my day. I felt I had a bad case of hay-fever. Dettol wipes is just as effective and its kinder to sensitive nose. COSSH

My wife came in for an eye test, for a sudden change in vision, yesterday. Although the store was exceptionally busy, the examination was thorough, unrushed with state of the art technology used to monitor her eye health. An urgent referral was made to the local hospital, by the optician. She has now been seen at the Rapid Access eye clinic and has a diagnosis of glaucoma/very high eye pressure, which is now being treated. If it wasn't for the vigilance of the Specsavers team, this could have been a much worse scenario.

Can be difficult to get a hold of at the minute and you can only go in by appointment only due to covid restrictions. However that aside, the staff are nice and very helpful. Service is genuinely good. It would be a 5 star when the world returns to normality.

It's set up for safety and they are working as best as they can with all the required social distances set out by the government. With all the cleaning of all the equipment being cleaned after each person has been seen. I think that they are doing a very good job, as I have got to get my new glasses next Wednesday.

Although the Chatham branch is closer to my house, I always go to Maidstone as Chatham is a dump! I was long overdue for an eye test but booked one very conveniently online. I also got a courtesy call the day before reminding me of my appointment. The staff took great care of me when I had my appointment last week. They were very thorough during my eye test and also sanitised everything as they went along. If I could knock off half a star it would be for the fact that there needs to be someone sanitising the frames that you try on when choosing new glasses. I was told that if I tried a pair of frames on then I was to put them in a tray for sanitising. That's fine, but because everyone else is doing the same thing it left very little to choose from and I didn't really like the frames that I ended up with. Never mind! The service is very polite and friendly and the prices are good so I will keep using Specsavers for as long as I need to.

I was reluctant to get my eyes tested due to covid, not convinced by the distancing measures that could put be in place for such an up close and personal transaction. However, my eyesight had deteriorated so much I had little choice but to make an appointment. I was quickly received into the store by a lovely lady, Sam did my Otc test, and was very efficient and friendly. There are dividers up literally everywhere even for when the optician is checking your eyes up close, so I felt really safe. Mr Singh was friendly, explained everything, kept making sure I was comfortable, having had a new medical diagnosis, he took extra time and care to examine my eyes and requested an extra test to double check. I had that test performed by an equally lovely lady with blue hair! The floor staff checked in to see if I needed help with my selection, and then finally the lady that did my measuring and fitting was also really friendly and attentive. I've never had a bad experience at specsavers, but the team working today are a real credit to the store, giving me not only my best visit ever, but allaying any and all fears of a trip to the opticians during Covid! Well done!

I went to have a repair done on my glasses was told on the phone it would be done for no charge as the glasses where under six months but I was charged for the repair

I visited them a couple of times, once for an eye test and the other to collect my glasses. (That's how the test went!) Both times the staff were very helpful, I didn't have to wait very long either time and at no point did I feel forced into getting extras with my prescription. Despite being indecisive about what frames I wanted, one of the members of staff helped me pick out several pairs, going through them all, weighing up pros and cons. It must've taken a while but they seemed interested and involved the whole time which I am thankful for.

Sensible Covid precautions. Good eye test and good reasonably priced frames. I bought single vision reading glasses there a while back and was very pleased with the price and quality. Do not however under any circumstances even consider buying their varifocals. They shouldn't even think of selling glasses as bad as the ones I was given. I have worn varifocals for 25 years; don't believe them if they tell you that you must expect problems because it isn't true. Mine were. it seems, top of their range! I was given a full refund.

A reassuring sight test and paid extra 10gbp for deeper scans of eyes. Staff always available on hand to help with questions and willing to give thought to frame choices. I have been wearing glasses for over 40 years and this company is the only one that I have trust and faith in to deliver what they promise for spectacles. They also introduced me to virefocals for the first time and have had no problems. A high street branch that still has customers at the heart of what they do. Well done

Recently visited the "new" store in Week Street. Fantastic service, friendly and helpful staff, from the opthamologist to reception. Brilliant prices for glasses . Under £30.00 for an snazzy paper of specs. Very reasonable and can not fault the facilities onsite either. Being disabled the lift was a huge help and staff were very accommodating. Can fully recommend anyone to go there. Glasses for all ages and prices.

I have been going to SpecSavers for the Past 30-Years, The Care and Service that they provide is Very Professional and Friendly. Out of all of the Eye Tests that I have had, They are All very Thorough, and Precise. They are always doing Deals on Their Spectacles, like Buy One Pair of Glasses and Get a Second Pair Free. Initially, one would have to make an Appointment to see an Optician for an eye test. Then after you would be Sent an appointment every Year. If you have difficulty choosing your frames, one of the Staff can help you choose a pair that suit you. I like SpecSavers, The Staff are more than Helpful to Resolve any Issues that you have.

New shop. Larger than old location. Lots of friendly staff. One downside was noise of machine sucking up the water that was seeping through floor in lower area. Difficult to hear instructions and had to step over pipes on way out. Should really have warning signs up. Staff told me this is a daily issue. Not great if your having a hearing test. Allow plenty of time if you need to see someone and appointment times are really a rough guide. My last visit took 70 mins to sort out issues with my new glasses. Had a dispensing issue so new lenses needed, which did take quite some time to verify before they would reorder.
